Captured by the Monsters Page 6

by R. L. Caulder

My cock twitched as I pictured it, and her eyes quickly snapped to the appendage. A smirk graced her face as she mumbled, “I’d ask if that is a weapon in your pants or if you’re just happy to see me, but I think the answer is abundantly clear.”

I didn’t have pants on, so her joke was lost on me. It must have been a phrase from The Above that went over my head.

She laughed softly to herself, seemingly proud of her joke as she softly padded over to me. Despite not being physically whole, when she tipped her head up to look at where my face was, I felt like she was truly seeing all of me. It made my heart race. The overwhelming amount of feelings I had for her could bring me to my damn knees.

Her eyes bounced between my face and cock and she quirked a brow questioningly. “Did you want help with that, or did you just want to helicopter it around for us to see?”

My chest rumbled with confusion as I growled lightly, “I do not understand these phrases you use, and it makes me want to listen to you speak for days on end until I know everything in that beautiful mind of yours.”

My words stunned her, and her lips parted as she sucked in a breath before blinking rapidly and shaking her head. There had been a moment of pure vulnerability on her face, but it was gone in a flash, replaced with the sarcastic facade that I was coming to realize was her line of defense against us.

It was clear to me that even though she would share her body with us, she did not want to share her heart or mind with us, and I knew why. Emotionally detaching from sexual interactions was easy in comparison to walking away from where your heart lay in the palms of another.

Unbeknownst to her, I had already decided it was my sole mission to pry open her heart to me. I wanted to know her desires, her fears, her secrets. I needed to know every inch of her like I needed to breathe.

A small scowl twisted her face, pulling a small laugh from me. With her attention fully on me, I made my intentions abundantly clear. “I don’t just want to immerse myself in your body, Sera. I want to immerse myself in your heart.” Uncertainty flashed in the depths of her eyes. “I think I speak for all of us when I say that.”

  “You do,” Axton chimed in.

Rowen stayed silent, but I wasn’t surprised by that. He was the one from our Trifecta that had been skeptical about the depth of a match. We were all told it would be a consuming type of love between us and our mate, but he had voiced questions of whether that was a forced love or genuine.

He had been kind and gentle with her thus far, but I could tell from his slow retraction from these talks, that the way in which he felt for her was beginning to scare him.

It would take time for him to open his heart, just like it would Sera. They were actually quite similar, which would make for explosive physical times I was sure, but I also knew they would have clashes when it came to emotional depth.

As Sera took a deep breath, I quickly gathered her in my shadows, moving us over to the massive bed we’d constructed in preparation for the day we’d find our mate. Gently tossing her onto the bed, I enjoyed the way her breasts bounced and the small squeak that came from her.

Quickly I moved forward until my face hovered above her heat and my cock hardened to a point of pain, needing to find release. But I needed to taste her. I felt like an addict after tasting her honey briefly. I wanted to sink my tongue in so deeply she was writhing.

I’d chase my own orgasm right after I ensured she did.

“Such a good girl, letting us learn your body,” I murmured as she instinctively spread her legs for me at my praise. A soft moan floated through the air as my tongue flicked out to swirl the sensitive clit between her slick folds.

Plunging my long tongue inside of her, I flicked it up at the tip inside of her before removing it fully. Growling appreciatively against her heat, I murmured, “You taste so fucking good, beauty.”

Her back arched at my words as she asked a bit breathlessly, “How good? It can’t be anywhere near as good as Rowen tasted.”

Little minx. Mentioning my brother’s cock made me want to shove my own into her luscious mouth and have her taste my seed. It wasn’t that I had a problem sharing her with them, but fuck, how could she think about anyone other than me while my tongue was buried in her glistening pussy?

I suppose I wasn’t doing enough to hold her attention. I’d have to fix that.

She laughed as I quickly sank my tongue back into her with tenacity, like that had been her plan to spur me on. Her laughter quickly turned into a cry of my name as I plunged my tongue in and out of her at a wicked pace that had her exploding all over my face. I rode it out until her spasms ended and I knew she was fully sated.

The room lit up as our sexual energy fed the crystal, and Sera’s eyes widened and her mouth popped open. “Sylan…” she said and trailed off, blinking hard as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

I hadn’t used the energy to solidify anything else, so I was bewildered by her reaction.

“What’s wrong?” I inquired, genuinely concerned.

To my surprise, she leaned up and reached out with her hand like she was going to caress my face. “I saw your face for a moment. It’s like you flashed into existence for the briefest of moments.”

Shame swirled within my chest. I knew we would not be what she was attracted to after living amongst humans her entire life and then being told we were savages to fear.

Pulling away from her, I hardened my heart, steeling myself for her rejection…but it didn’t come. Instead, she said, “Stop,” with such force behind that one word that I did exactly as she said.

Somehow she crowded into me until I was the one laying on my back and she was above me. Her beautiful blonde hair was darkened from the water and dripped down her body as she glared down at me. “Don’t you dare shrink away from me like I’m going to hurt you.”

As the words left her lips, I saw my own shock reflected in her face, like she had surprised herself with the depth of her meaning.

Clearing my throat, I explained, “I apologize, but I had assumed you wouldn’t like what you saw and that you wouldn’t want me near you. It is easy for you to imagine us however you wish, with the shadows obscuring much of us, but to see our face takes away that, confirming the monsters we are to your kind.”

Despite the uncertainty I found myself in right now, the one thing that wasn’t confused was my still rock-hard cock. It without a doubt still thought our mate was the most beautiful creature, and I ached to mark her with my own seed.

I wanted her so badly, I swear I felt tremors of pain in my heart at the thought of her possibly denying my true form. But I would respect her decision, despite my own desires. She would come first, always. Literally and physically.

A single blonde brow arched in mock challenge as she kept my gaze and lowered her head down to hover just above my cock. Her small hand came out to trace a single finger down from the tip of it, swirling my precum there and down the length of my shaft. It took every ounce of self-control I had to not flip her beneath me and sink myself into her heat.

“If I didn’t like what I saw or if I was scared”—she paused before grabbing as much of my cock as her hand could hold and pulling it up until the top was at her lips—“would I be doing this?”

Her mouth was like soft velvet as she opened her plush lips and took the top of me into her mouth and hummed in delight. Pulling off, she popped her lips off the top and she purred, “I take back my earlier words. You taste better than Rowen.”

Mischief flashed in her eyes as the man in question shouted his displeasure at her conclusion, but I grinned so damn hard my face hurt.

  She hadn’t rebuffed me.

  She hadn’t fled in terror.

“Don’t worry, precious, you’re saving the best for last,” Axton goaded. I flipped him off, not that he could see it. But it’s the thought that counts, right?

As her mouth descended on me once more, I couldn’t help but think that perhaps she was the answer to all o
f our problems. Not just ours as a Trifecta, but the answer to our entire world’s issues.

Time would tell, but something tugged on my soul, telling me she was even more special than we could have ever dreamed of.

  Chapter Eight

  SERA

I lost track of time as I learned all of my monsters’ cocks, and yeah, there was no way I could pretend like they weren’t mine anymore while I was here. Which was fine, right? They’d keep me safe while I was stuck down here with them, and I’d get orgasms out of it. Sounded like a win-win situation for me.

I just needed to ensure that I didn’t get close enough to where I wouldn’t eventually be able to walk away from the three of them when the time came. In all regards, I hardly knew them. It shouldn’t be that hard to keep my heart out of the equation.

Orgasms would be a transactional experience for me to get more of these glorious sensations, and I would be able to explore my sexuality on my terms with them. It was empowering, and that was where I would leave it.

Either I was an absolute blowjob champ only my second time giving one or Sylan had been so worked up that it hadn’t taken much to have his cum spurting down my throat. It had felt like mere minutes that I had worked his massive cock in and out of my mouth, attempting to relax my throat to take him in deeper than I had Rowen.

It was easy to stay wrapped up in the euphoria that was still pulsating through me physically and mentally from the new world they’d open up to me with their fingers, tongues, lips, and teeth. All that mattered to me right now was how damn good I felt and the delicious taste of these men’s cum

“Such a good girl, swallowing all of my seed,” Sylan whispered as his cock twitched one last time and the cinnamon roll flavored cum continued to roll down my throat.

I hummed my appreciation for his dirty praise, and it caused his cock to thrust into my throat again like I was revving him right back up for round two.

  Oops?

Pulling back from his cock, I licked my lips, catching the residual remnants of his cum. “Seriously, I don’t know how the hell you guys have cum that tastes like dessert. The human women are being gypped from what I’ve been told,” I explained. “Apparently, human male cum tastes salty and gross.”

Axton growled deeply like a feral animal, and I stopped to ponder how I knew it was his growl without a second thought.

“What’s wrong, sunshine?” I asked, smirking at the nickname for the grumbly monster. It fit.

No words came from him in response. Only varying levels of more growls, but Rowen took pity on me and spelled it out for me, plain as day. “He doesn’t like to hear you talk about other men’s cum. Only ours.”

I rolled my eyes in mock annoyance and groaned at the primal dominance these men displayed around me. It was hot as hell, but it was also concerning that I found it hot. It should have been red flags galore, because hello, I wasn’t going to stay here with them forever. Eventually I would have a human male back home…but perhaps I shouldn’t voice that little tidbit of my plan out loud.

Collapsing onto the bed, I closed my eyes, all of my previous exhaustion hitting me like a freight train. “Such a caveman,” I murmured, curling onto my side and wishing I had a blanket to lay under.

As if they could read my damn mind, I felt a soft blanket being draped over me, starting at my feet and being pulled up to my shoulders. My eyes popped open, and I saw the telling sign that it was Axton. His clawed hand was hovering above my arm like he wanted to touch me, and in my sleep-hazed brain, I asked, “Lay with me?”

Damnit, Sera. Boundaries with the monsters. Cuddling with them on top of letting them take care of literally all of your needs is probably not the best way to keep your emotions separate.

“I’m going to patrol,” Rowen bit out, sounding pissed as fuck at my offer to Axton, or maybe it was anger at Axton for how quickly he settled in behind me and languidly began to trail his claws lightly over the blanket on my arm, soothing me.

Chuffing at the whiplash Rowen gave me, I called out, “Sylan?”

Closing my eyes, I felt his presence in front of me before he answered. “Yes, beauty?”

“I have a lot of questions, and call me crazy, but you seem like the one to provide these answers to me,” I stated, breaking off to yawn. His deep chuckle floated through the air, and I cracked an eye open to see where he was.

He was laying on his back, if I had to guess, and my stomach flipped with butterflies and the safety I felt laying between these two monsters. I should have feared them with everything in me, but instinctively I knew that they would do everything within their power to keep me safe.

“You look like you are going to fall asleep any moment now, so ask me your questions, beauty,” Sylan stated, causing me to snap my eyes shut at possibly being caught ogling his shadows. It was disconcerting to not be able to see their eyes or where they were looking.

He chuckled, confirming that he had indeed been watching me. Bastard.

Clearing my throat, I began going down my list of questions. “First, why is Rowen, so… I don’t know. Why is he acting like whatever that is?”

I swear I felt Axton stiffen behind me despite being incorporeal, but his claws continued to stroke my arm as Sylan answered soothingly, “It doesn’t have to do with you specifically, if that is what you are concerned about.”

My brows rose and I scoffed. “Could have fooled me. That little flip of personality happened right when I asked Axton to join me in bed. Is he jealous or something?”

Silence stretched for a few moments before he continued, and I could tell he was trying to carefully select his words. “Rowen had the most trepidation about our Trifecta finding its match. He questions a lot of the process, and I think he is struggling to take it all in so quickly.”

I hummed in acknowledgment, because really, there was nothing for me to say to that. Rowen was his own person—or monster—and I didn’t deserve to pry any further into his personal problems. Just because we’d shared an orgasm didn’t mean I was privy to intimate details of his mind or heart.

“He’ll come around, precious,” Axton murmured softly.

I hated that a piece of me immediately wanted to ask what would happen if he didn’t come around. That I felt sick to my stomach at the idea of him walking away from whatever was happening between the four of us.

So I quickly maneuvered onto my next question. Well, I suppose it was more of a demand. “Tell me about your lands and your people, please.”

Both of them sighed heavily, and I thought for a second they would refuse, but Axton simply said, “Go ahead,” as if that’s what Sylan was waiting for.

It was clear Axton was the leader of the group, and Sylan was the logical, more emotionally adept one. Rowen… Well, with his banter and forwardness, I’d say he was the one that used humor and physical contact to keep a wall up. He provided lighthearted jokes, but it seemed to me like an armor of sorts.

Perhaps that’s what I needed. For him to keep that wall in place for the both of us, because it was starting to become obvious that I wasn’t doing the best job of it.

Sylan began to explain and I drank every word in, excited to finally know more about this elusive land and the monsters within it. “Paratiisi used to have an abundant climate when our Queen and her Trifecta were ruling. Their Trifecta was matched to the central crystal that the main kingdom is built around. This crystal impacts the life of the land and all of its inhabitants.”

I had a sinking feeling I knew where this was going. It wasn’t that hard to put two and two together.

“The rulers were assassinated when usurpers thought they could take the crown, but it isn’t that simple. They couldn’t just kill them and take over because the crystals call to each Trifecta, like a pairing of its own. They don’t work with just any Trifecta.”

Fascinating, honestly. Several questions swirled in my mind about where the crystals came from and what they could do, but I didn’t want to cut off his story.
/>   “So, our land was plummeted into darkness, literally and physically. The main crystal of our kingdom hasn’t paired to any Trifecta in the centuries that followed their deaths.”

My heart squeezed, feeling sorry for them all. “That’s horrible,” I breathed out, feeling the depth of the loss they faced.

“It is,” he answered. “This decline has led to the Specters, which is the form you see us in now, coming about. We used to be called something else when we were fully solidified and in our true forms. The central crystal is connected to all of us like a power source, but it only works one way. We cannot pull on it to reserve that boost. It is given freely to us when it is connected to the True Queen and her Trifecta.”

Anger spiked through me at how fucking stupid those assassins were for not thinking this through. They were blinded by power and who knows what else, and in return everyone else had paid dearly.

A question popped into my head, and he seemed to be done with his explanation for now, so I asked, “Have you three already been to the central crystal to see if you connect with it?”

Axton chuckled at my back, answering before Sylan could. “No, precious. Each Trifecta is required to venture to the main kingdom once they have found their match. It would be pointless to go before we found you, because it would not react to us until our unit was complete with our female at its center.”

My eyes flew open as I gasped. “Wait, you’re telling me the previous Queen was a human?”

Come to think of it, I had never heard them mention any female Specters. Did they have any? They had to…right?

“Indeed,” Sylan answered. “It wasn’t always like this between our kinds. Our history books speak of a time when our kind came and went, mingling and openly living together. Greed and fear led to the Great War and division between us.”

Holy shit. My mind was officially being blown. Was this why our government told us so little about The Below, Keeping us in the dark on what truly transpired and how we had once lived in harmony? I suppose fear was an easy way to get us all to bow to their rules.
