Destroy Her: A Dark High School Bully Romance (Crimson High Book 1)

Amy could tell that I was deep in thought as we went to the mall, not disturbing me until we had arrived. Then, it was time to shop, not to think. She punched me in the shoulder. “Earth to Alice. It’s time to get your slut on.”
I laughed. “Ouch Amy, jeez. I don’t want to get my slut on. I just want to find something pretty for the dance.”
Amy skipped over to a pink dress hanging off the rack as we entered the store. “What about this?”
“I was thinking something red,” I replied.
“Classic Crimson High,” Amy said with a laugh.
She was right. Our school colors were red and silver, which fit me well, due to my dark brown hair and eyes. Red was my favorite color. I liked the way it disrupted the senses. For a girl trying to lay low, red probably wasn’t the best color to be wearing every day at school. Oh well I didn’t care much for subtlety anymore. Going to the school dance with Travis was just about the least subtle thing I could do.
Amy and I searched through the clothing racks until I found something that I thought suited me. It was a dark crimson and white dress, tight all the way down, but not traveling down very far on my legs. I tried it on to find that it just barely covered me. I would be playing with fire wearing something like this around Travis, but something inside of me urged me to take the leap. I had to have it.
“Alice, you look like a dream,” Amy said, her mouth hanging open as I spun around. “No, seriously, your ass looks amazing in that dress.”
I laughed, blushing a bit in embarrassment. I found myself really wanting to look special for this dance, and it was definitely because of Travis. I wanted to show him that I was a high-value woman that wouldn’t take his shit. He needed to respect me now.
“Do you think it’s appropriate?” I asked, bending over a little and watching the bottom ride up my thighs.
“Totally,” Amy said, nodding her head with his eyes wide open. “That’s going to blow Travis’s dick off.”
I laughed loudly. “Okay, I guess if it blows his cock to bits, I’ll get it.”
Amy nodded. “You better. You look perfect.”
Amy was always so supportive, even after having gone through all that she had recently with Kain dying. I wondered if she was going to the dance with anyone.
“Amy, I forgot to ask, are you going to the dance with someone?”
Amy nodded. “I didn’t want to ruin your excitement about Travis, so I didn’t mention it, but yeah, David asked me.”
“Who is David?” I asked.
“My boyfriend,” Amy said, acting like I should already know that.
I guess Kain’s death wasn’t all that important to Amy after all. That shouldn’t surprise me, since she only dated guys for the sex. Once she had found a new guy to bounce on, she didn’t need the previous one.
I shrugged and removed the dress, taking it up to the register to purchase it. It was expensive, and I was out of a job, but I had plenty saved up to get it. This had better be the night of my life if I was blowing a chunk of my savings on this dress.
Amy already had a dress for the dance. She had a lot of them because her parents, like most others at Crimson High, were quite wealthy. It didn’t mean a thing for her to have several nice dresses to choose from. For me, this was something special, and I felt excited as I walked out of the store with a brand new dress in my bag. Crimson High School Dance, here I come.
Chapter 17
Travis didn’t say much to me in the days leading up to the dance. He kept a relatively low profile, not mentioning our plans to blow up the basketball court outside or look for Kimberly’s body at all. I assumed he didn’t want to arouse suspicion.
For that entire week at school, everything felt normal again. Travis didn’t bully me, Amy was in a good mood, talking about her new boyfriend and complaining about the teachers, and I was back to getting good grades. I could finally concentrate on what really mattered.
I tried to push the excitement that I felt out of my head the day of the dance. Travis was going to be picking me up at my house, and my parents would be there to meet him. I hadn’t said a single word about him to them before this, so they were surprised when I told them that I was going to the dance with someone.
My dad eyed me suspiciously when I came down the stairs in my red and gray dress for the dance. “You’re not going to wear any pants?”
I laughed. “Come on, I’m an adult.”
He shrugged. “Back in my days women wore dresses to the school dance, not shirts without pants.”
My mom slapped his arm. “Relax darling. I’m sure she wants to look nice for Travis.”
“Mom,” I groaned. “Don’t say anything weird when he gets here, okay?”
My mom smiled at me, purposely not agreeing to my request. Both my parents had a knack for embarrassing me. I had never introduced a guy to them before, so I could tell they were very keen on meeting Travis. Anyone who could convince me to go to a dance with him was special in my parents’ eyes.
The doorbell rang, and I looked into the hallway mirror to check my hair and makeup one last time. Damn Travis for making me feel so giddy. I didn’t like that I was this excited to go with him to the dance.
I rushed over to the door, opening it to find Travis standing in front of me with a single crimson rose. He handed it to me without a word and stepped inside.
I clutched the rose to my breast while Travis introduced himself to my parents. They beamed at him, the smartly dressed savage, as my heart nearly beat straight out of my chest. He looked too good. I was beginning to second guess going to the dance with him. I wouldn’t be able to resist another kiss from him if he tried.
His cologne hit me a few seconds after I soaked in his appearance. His flawlessly cut black suit paired with the deep smell of the forest made me feel butterflies in my lower belly. I could barely think straight as he lied to my parents about how we had met, leaving out all the unsavory bits of his bullying. What a charming asshole.
Finally, Travis turned to me and I straightened up, the rose still glued to my breast. “Time to head out, I suppose,” He said, the words rolling off his tongue like a drizzle of chocolate syrup.
I nodded. “Yes,” I said quietly.
My parents smiled, shaking Travis’s hand and thanking him for driving me to the dance. They seemed to like him more than they liked me at this point. My mom winked at me as Tavis and I exited the house. Jesus, what had I gotten myself into? I found myself asking that question a lot lately.
When we got into Travis’s car, he turned to me. “You look stunning, Alice.”
I swallowed, trying to find my words. “And you- you look really handsome,” I responded.
Travis flashed me a deadly grin before pulling out onto the street. “I really hope they have punch at the dance. I’m quite partial to it.”
Travis was a bit of an oddball, as I had come to realize. That was part of his charm. You never knew what he would say or do, and a lot of the time, it surprised me. He had really turned the charm up tonight, and as I would find out later, was not without reason. He was always very intentional about his actions.
I felt like I was a prisoner to Travis’s wicked charm that evening. As he led me out of the car to Crimson High, I had this feeling of being sucked into a whirlpool. I was being pulled into his twisted world despite never having asked for it.
I could blame it on Travis, but now it was just as much my fault as his. I was the one dolling myself up for the dance, letting myself fall deeper into what I could only describe as the first glimmer of romantic interest for Travis. It was a cruel joke that I felt this way about my bully. After all Travis had put me through, I should have hated him, but I didn’t.
Travis opened the door of the car for me when we arrived at the school, taking my hand to help me out. I left the rose in the car, but would be taking it home with me that night. I didn’t want it to get crushed or lost at the dance. It meant a lot that Travis had gotten that for me.
Al
l eyes were on Travis and me as we entered Crimson High School and walked down the hall toward the auditorium where the dance would be. Travis took long, confident steps, and I nearly had to jog to keep up with him. His arm was linked to mine, guiding me forward with him.
I realized then that I would be getting a lot more recognition from the other students at the school. Travis, albeit controversial, was undeniably attractive to many seniors there, and equally envied by many others. Simply being his partner to the school dance opened a lot of doors for me in terms of popularity. While I wasn’t looking for it, fame had found me at Crimson High.
We entered the auditorium, and music was already blasting, with a few couples dancing in the center of the room. Travis spotted a bowl of punch, and nearly yanked me off my feet in that direction.
“You really want punch,” I said, concerned that he might ear my arm right off.
Travis grinned. “I’m thirsty as fuck.” He let go of my arm and grabbed a plastic cup, pouring in a big ladle-full of bright red fruit punch. He gulped it down before turning back to me. “You want some?”
No thanks, I said, seeing how red his lips had turned from it. I couldn’t help but to let out a giggle.
“What?” Travis asked, frowning.
“Nothing,” I said, trying to contain my laughter. I wanted to have this moment, where Travis was the one looking like a fool instead of me.
Travis shrugged, and filled up his cup again, gulping down more punch. Seconds later, a girl came up to us and batted her lashes at Travis. She looked like she was a cheerleader, still dressed in the typical cheerleading garb despite this being a dance.
She inserted herself in between Travis and I. “Will you dance with me, Travis?” She asked sweetly.
Travis pushed her aside, harder than he should have. “No,” he grumbled as she nearly fell to the floor.
“Travis, that’s not very nice,” I scolded.
He shrugged. “You’re my dance tonight, and I will have nobody but you.”
I felt weird inside when he spoke those words to me. Even though he was rude, I felt special because he had pushed this other girl. Travis genuinely valued me more than any other woman at school, and that was now obvious, even if he claimed not to care that much.
I smiled at him. “Let’s dance then,” I said, taking his hand and pulling him with me to the dance floor, leaving the confused cheerleader behind.
Chapter 18
The music was loud enough to feel it inside of me, and Travis’s firm hands on my waist were to die for as we spun out into the center of the dance floor. It was a mid-tempo song, something trendy about love, and Travis knew just how to guide my body so that the dance flowed effortlessly. He had obviously practiced.
We got lost in time on the dance floor, magic and love in the air as I melted in Travis’s strong arms. He was a perfect gentleman on the dance floor, keeping his hands firmly on my waist and holding me just close enough to tease me with the touch of his body.
I pressed myself closer to him as the music grew slower, switching to a ballad. I felt beautiful in Travis’s eyes as he gazed down at me. His eyes were deep and intense, drawing me in so powerfully that I could swear it was possible to be sucked right into.
Even though we were dancing slowly, my heart was beating a mile a minute. Travis held me as we swayed to the music, and I pressed myself even closer to his hot body. I was close enough to feel the details of the muscles beneath his fitting suit.
“Alice,” Travis said to me in a deep and alluring voice.
I looked up at him once again, hypnotized by his dazzling black eyes. “Yes?”
Travis smiled, then turned serious, leaning his head down and resting his lips against mine. This time I didn’t pull back or reject him. I let his lips linger on my mine before pulling him in further. I tasted the faint hint of fruit punch on his stained lips as I kissed him earnestly on the dance floor. I didn’t care who saw us now. I wanted Travis in that moment more than anything else in the world.
This was our time. I felt weightless as Travis held me in his arms as we rocked side to side. We were no longer moving to the music, but to our own song, a song of passion and two hearts becoming one.
As the song ended, I felt unwilling to let Travis go, holding him in for the kiss as long as I could before having to break apart. I don’t know what came over me, but I felt like Travis was my everything, and letting him go would be the end of me.
“Come with me,” Travis urged as the song ended and I held him tighter.
I loosened my hold on him and took his hand. He guided me through the crowds of people, out of the auditorium, and toward a now-familiar place. As Travis pulled me through the boarded-up door into the old abandoned classroom that we had made crazy plans in a week before, I felt a calmness about what we were here to do.
I knew that Travis wasn’t bringing me here to talk about more plans. The atmosphere was drastically different than any other time we had been together. Now, with the faint bass of the school dance music still working itself down the halls, Travis and I shared each other in private.
I was the first to kiss him again. I pulled him down into my lips, wrapping my arms around his neck to keep him there, as though he would fly away like a lost balloon if I let go. Travis pushed in, pouring hot passion into my mouth as we made out in the darkness.
There were a few lights from outside to illuminated the room, glowing through the dusty windows as we made our moves. It was just enough light for me to find the buttons on Travis’s shirt, unbuttoning them slowly and deliberately to send him a signal. It was now or never.
Travis moved his hands all over me, riding the curves of my body like waves as he pressed himself against me. I could feel that he was aroused, and I was. God, was I aroused by Travis. Ever since he had touched me so delicately at the party, I had been dreaming about doing it again. My body ached for him, begging me to give in to his touch and go all the way.
“Do you really want to do this?” Travis asked me in a low voice.
“Do what?” I whispered, barely even able to speak.
“This,” Travis said, slipping his hand up my dress and pressing a finger into my wetness.
I gasped, and my open mouth was met with his lips once again, painting lust through my soul. I arched my back, presenting my body to him as he rubbed between my legs. Travis pushed my panties to the side and put his warm fingers against me, slipping easily into me and causing me to moan.
I needed him now. I parted my legs and pulled him against me, feeling his hardness against my body. I scrambled to unbutton his trousers, yanking them down and clasping a hand around his manhood. This was my first time, but instinct took over and I knew exactly what to do.
Travis, albeit a rough and seemingly uncaring person, was extremely gentle with me. I think he knew, or at least assumed, that it was my first time. He made me wet, then pushed up my dress and propped me up on a desk to do the dirty deed.
I spread my legs for him, letting him take me as he wanted. I could see the outline of Travis’s tall body as he entered me for the first time. It was like the universe stopped for up as we made love. Every movement of his hips brought me to a higher state of bliss, until it all came crashing down upon me in heavy waves.
I couldn’t control my body’s spasms as I experienced my first orgasm from a man. With Travis, it had been so easy, so natural, that it felt like our bodies were made for each other. As I climaxed, I felt Travis stiffen up, pulling out and spraying my dress with his cum.
It hadn’t even crossed my mind to use a condom, but I was glad that Travis had enough sense to pull out. The only issue was that now my dress was stained with a sticky white fluid that would be hard to remove before returning to the dance.
“Fuck, I made a mess,” Travis said, taking a step back and admiring his work.
I clamped my legs together, a little embarrassed that I was splayed out in front of him. “Yes, and now I need to clean my dress.”
T
ravis chuckled. “Or just leave it so that everyone knows what you were up to this evening.”
I rolled my eyes, but then froze as the faint hint of smoke filled my nostrils. “Do you smell that?” I asked.
Travis took a few deep breaths in through his nose. “Yes, it smells like smoke.”
“You don’t think there’s a fire here too?” I asked, growing concerned.
Travis grabbed my hand and hoisted me off the desk. “I don’t know, but we better go find out.”
As Travis and I stepped out of the forgetting classroom, the sprinklers went off and the fire alarm began ringing. I hoped it was just caused by a student smoking somewhere they weren’t supposed to, but that idea was squashed when I saw thick billowing clouds of smoke rolling out of the auditorium as Travis and I ran past it toward the exit.
At least the spunk on my dress would be hidden now that I was soaked from the sprinklers. I had to look at the bright side of things since the school was apparently burning down like everywhere else I had the misfortune of being. This was getting to be ridiculous.
Travis and I ran out the door to find a mass of students in front of the building. They looked frightened and worried about the fire.
“I guess it’s a big fire,” I said, scanning the faces in search for Amy.
Travis nodded. “It must be.”
I pulled Travis with me when I saw Amy, rushing toward her. “I’m so glad that you’re safe. Jesus, another fire.”
Amy smiled when she saw me. “I’m just hoping we don’t have to go to school on Monday.”
I laughed, but it was a fake laugh. I couldn’t see the humor in what was happening to us, but I knew that Amy had no clue. To her, this was just another week at Crimson High. For me, I felt like someone was out to get me, Travis, or both of us. I didn’t know.
Travis began buttoning up his shirt, which I had unbuttoned earlier in the forgotten classroom. Amy saw this and winked at me, receiving a serious glare in return. I didn’t want anyone to know what Travis and I had done, but Amy obviously did know.
