Turning to head back toward the shower, he said over his shoulder, “I call it like I see it. I’ll grab a coffee and a couple of your delicious muffins when I’m done.”

Anthony’s acceptance of her despite her past brought a warmth to her heart and a feeling of belonging. She opened the door and let Reilly in, fed him a snack, and then continued making muffins. Anything was truly possible.

Matt was reviewing Colin’s tape, feeling horny each time he watch it. The stills in themselves were very erotic, but the video footage put it over the top.

The sexual nature of their relationship was very much in evidence in the video. There was no sound but the pleasure came across loud and clear in the pure ecstasy etched on each woman’s face.

The video would be released on the CU Network in the next couple of days. The world could then view it at their leisure and for as many times as they wanted. The pictures would be published in the magazine along with Colin’s graphic article. The magazine had Jade’s credit card statement. She had racked up phenomenal charges to a vague company called Candle Lit Nights.

Investigating Candle Lit Nights more thoroughly showed it was the cover for the adult chat line used by Ms. Stacey Jackson alias Twylla Star. The hammer was coming down hard and soon on Ms. Tanner. Smiling to himself, Matt started the video again which invariably made him hard as his penis strained against his pants. Unzipping his pants and letting his erect cock free, he masturbated watching the two women suck and lick each other to a climax. Groaning in pleasure he climaxed himself fantasizing he was pumping himself into Stacey’s pouting mouth and she was swallowing his come the way a thirsty man downs a beer. Getting some tissues he wiped himself off. Wishing it was the real deal and he had the little ho in the room to take care of business.

The muffins were baked and coffee served when Jade stumbled sleepily into the kitchen. Pouring a cup of coffee and grabbing a muffin she sat down beside Stacey who was reading the paper. She reached over and gave her a kiss.

Reilly, who was lying at Stacey’s feet, thumped his tail mightily at her arrival. She stooped down and petted him.

“Aren’t you going to say good morning to me?”

Looking up she saw Anthony freshly showered and shaved looking awfully toothsome leaning against the kitchen wall.

“You’re looking awfully good for someone who didn’t get much sleep last night.”

“Well the sleep I did get was very refreshing, plus I think I still have that afterglow from such a successful event.”

“You really made it the success it was. With your organizational skills and the way you can charm people…that’s what made it happen.”

Jade saw she had flustered him again. Praise from her was rare and here in a short time span she had been dousing him with it.

Changing the subject, he reminded Jade that his flight left at two and it was already half past twelve.

“I don’t know what you’re so worried about. It’s only a couple miles down the road,” she grumbled. “Besides are you that anxious to leave us? I rather got the impression that you liked it here.”

“I love it here. But believe it or not based on what was seen in the fashion show last night, we have some big orders from some very big retailers who are anxious to get their hands on LeCq fashions. I want to get the contracts in order right away. I’ve already got my assistant working on them.”

She was immediately interested. “Really? Maybe I should have a look at them before they get sent out.”

He held up his hands. “I got this Jade. Don’t worry nothing’s going to go wrong.”

“Of course not. I didn’t mean to imply anything by it but I can’t help but get excited when something takes off so quickly.”

“I know. But you and Stacey should relax and spend some quality time together. Get to know one another.”

Both women glanced at each other. This was true. Both were already imaging long days and nights in the bedroom wrapped up in each other’s arms, tasting each other’s texture and flavor. Of course they’d have to come up for something to eat and take care of Reilly. All in all though the idea of staying in one spot was immensely appealing.

  “I guess you’re right.”

“Pardon?” Anthony said cupping his hand up to his ear.

She made a face at him. “I said I guess you’re right.”

“Well now that is simply music to my ears, Jade Tanner.”

Turning to Stacey he said, “I don’t know what you’re doing but keep on doing it. She’s a much nicer person since you’ve arrived.”

Both women laughed at this. Jade realized she didn’t feel lonely anymore and until Stacy had come into her life, she hadn’t realized how intensely lonely she had been. Looking at the clock, Anthony realized it was one o’clock. Now it really was time to get a move on. Jade had the quickest shower known to mankind. With her hair still damp and trailing down her back, he thought she looked like some kind of exotic mermaid cast adrift on the land. She had always been truly beautiful but it wasn’t an icy beauty anymore – it was a warmer, sensual beauty that was very appealing.

Saying his good-byes to Stacey and Reilly, he headed out the door with Jade. On the trip to the airport he debated on opening the discussion with Jade about the start of her relationship with Stacey. On the quick drive there simply wouldn’t be enough time to have the discussion he needed to have with her. Figuring it could wait until she got back to New York he decided he might as well let her enjoy the next couple of weeks with Stacey before they crossed that bridge.

Once home, Jade opened the door to a very ecstatic Reilly. He acted like she had been gone for one hundred years instead of only one hour. It was very gratifying to say the least. Grabbing his leash which sent him into spasms of joy, Jade went in search of Stacey. Calling her name as she went and getting no answer Jade figured she was in the bedroom.

Entering the bedroom, Jade’s breath caught in her throat. Stacey was lying on the bed in a naughty little lace push up bra and a very see through lace thong. She was lying on her side but with one leg up so Jade could see all she had to offer.

Mouth dry Jade tried swallowing but to no avail. “Oh Stacey, I was going to take Reilly for a run. Now if I don’t he’ll be so disappointed.”

She smiled, using her fingers, she pulled back the clitoral hood to give Jade a better view. She could see her nub was erect, hot and swollen begging for her tongue to give it some relief. “This will be waiting for you when you get back and probably more swollen. It’ll be nice for you to suck on then.”

Jade groaned. Stacey knew exactly what to do. She could barely form a coherent word. “I won’t be long.”

Stacey smiled at her, her eyes crinkling up in the corners ever so slightly. “I hope not.”

She didn’t have the heart not to give Reilly a good thirty minute walk and it was the longest thirty minutes of her life. She should be taking him for a run but thoughts of Stacey’s body and the sweet delight between her legs put Reilly’s needs on the back burner. Her mind was already having sex with Stacey as she walked him. Wet and horny when they got back she quickly filled his Kong with treats and a dab of peanut butter on top to keep him occupied.

Entering the bed room, Jade was out of her clothes in a flash. Climbing on the bed with Stacey, she caressed and stroked her smooth skin. It had the feeling and texture of the finest silk as she slid her hands down the graceful curves of her body. Looking deep and long into Stacey’s eyes, Jade could see the love she felt for this young women reflected back. Kissing her deeply and passionately, she felt Stacey respond, her arms wrapping themselves around her neck kissing her back with equal intensity. Moving down between Stacey’s spread legs, Jade concentrated on given her lover pleasure.

The next several hours were like an escape from reality as they teased and played with each other. Bringing out the sex toys, they each took turns riding each other to a climax all the while looking deep into t
heir lover’s eyes watching the pleasure in them as they cried out upon climaxing. At last completely satiated they showered and dressed then headed into the living room where Reilly was snoozing up a storm.

“I shorted him on his exercise today so he really does need to go for a longer walk to wear him out. We’ll have to take him out again tonight whether we want to or not.”

Stacey nodded. “I think he’s still a bit tired from all the excitement over the past couple of days. Probably why he was being so good about being on his own while we were in there.” She tilted her head over in the direction of the bedroom.

Yawning and stretching, Jade showed a complete set of perfectly even, white teeth. Patting her side she said, “Come on Reilly,” and let him out in the back yard. It had started snowing so she stood for a few minutes at the door amusedly watching Reilly prancing around trying to grab snowflakes out of the air.

Growing cold she shut the door and wandered into the kitchen. Christmas was almost here. Nothing had been done about decorating the house even though they had everything they needed right down to the artificial tree.

“So?” Stacey said from the living room. “What’s on your mind?”

Shoving her hands deep into the pockets of her housecoat, Jade again marveled at how close she felt to Stacey. This was a whole new dimension to her life. She had really believed she had it all – the money, fancy cars, fashionable clothes – an extravagant lifestyle. In reality she had nothing at all. She had lacked the connection with a person and now as her icy layers thawed and her careful constructed armor dismantled, she was discovering she didn’t need all those things after all. What she needed was Stacey. Without her to share it with all the other things meant nothing Life with Stacey was brighter and her heart was many pounds lighter.

“Well, I’m wondering what to make for supper.”

“Why don’t you go relax in the living room? I’ll bring you out a drink and then get supper started.”

Stacey was a great cook and baker, Jade had discovered.

Smiling a happy crooked smile that reflected in her eyes, she said, “Sure that’d be great.”

Sitting on the armchair in the living room, she heard a bottle of wine being open and the sound of it pouring into a glass. Small moments like this she realized were what a life was actually built out of.

Bringing it to her, she handed her the glass. The electrical thrill when Stacey’s hand touched hers sent shivers down her spine. Their eyes met – green to sherry gold – and they both fell in love a little bit more. They were in synch, two hearts that beat as one, two souls that had somehow connected in this messy world intertwining with each other.

Giving her a quick kiss on the lips, Stacey went back into the kitchen. Jade laid her head back in contentment listening to her movements as she prepared supper.

Taking a sip of her wine, she got up from her chair and walked into the kitchen. Sitting down at the table, she watched Stacey work.

A short woof sounded at the back door. Jade got up and let Reilly in. Dancing around her, his claws skittered across the tiled floor as he enthusiastically entered the house.

She had to smile. No other living creature could live in the moment the way a dog could. Reilly, despite all the terrible things that had happened to him in his life, was eternally cheerful and optimistic. He truly did see the glass as being half full instead of half empty.

In the kitchen, Jade set about preparing his food for him. Reilly’s rapt attention was all on her now as she mixed the dry and wet food together. Certainly not high end by anyone’s standards but with the way he chowed down on it, you would have thought it was sirloin steak.

Watching him affectionately, she reached out and stroked his head. Reilly wagged his tail briefly and then got back to the task at hand. “We’ll go for a long walk later on buddy.”

Sitting back down at the kitchen table, she tried to remember when she had felt this content and relaxed. Usually she was so demanding, frenetic having one thousand things on the go at once, trying to fill up the emptiness that was her life. With Stacey and Reilly she didn’t feel that way anymore.

Supper done, the walk with Reilly accomplished, the women had a long bath together and contentedly went to sleep in each other’s arms.

  ****

The air over the next couple of days had turned decidedly frosty. They bundled up when they went for snow walks. Reilly had his dog coat and booties on. He was probably okay with his long lush coat but he looked so handsome in his doggy jacket from LeCq fashions, they loved to see him in it. Reilly seemed to know how good he looked as well. He walked down the street with his head and tail held high looking like the proper gentlemen he was not.

Working together they decorated the house in extravagant Christmas fashion. Stacey even let Jade help with some Christmas baking which they drove over to the senior’s lodge to give them some holiday cheer. It made her think of her grandmother stuck away in a seniors home on Long Island lost in a world that no one could enter and she couldn’t leave.

Seven o’clock Wednesday morning, her phone kept notifying her, it seemed like every thirty seconds, that there was a text message. Considering turning it off because what could really be that important at this ungodly hour in the morning, she laughed to herself because in her prior life this would be sleeping in. Thinking the better of it she checked and saw it was Anthony. He had texted the same phrase over and over again, CALL ME IMMEDIATELY.

Anthony was sitting in his New York office watching in horror the story that was being replayed over and over again as each Network came to life in their different time zones.

Jade Tanner had been outed as being with another woman, but wasn’t the bad part. The Razor’s Edge rag magazine had somehow discovered Stacey was formerly Ms. Twylla Star, porn star and escort saying they had proof that Jade had paid for her services. The absolute worst part was the video released to CU Network. Anthony was watching the steadily increasing views of the video every second.

The phone rang. It was Jade.

“Jade, listen to me carefully. Are you in the bedroom with Stacey?”

  “Yes, I am.”

“I want you to leave and if she’s sleeping try not to wake her up. If she does wake up tell her to stay there until you’re finished talking to me.”

Feeling alarm bells going off in her head, she went into the kitchen with Reilly happily dancing around her feet. She listened with growing horror at what Anthony was telling her.

“It’s being picked up by ever major network. We’ve got to do some damage control and do it quickly.

“And it will only be a matter of time before the television crews show up where you are. Everybody knows about the charity event you had this past weekend so everyone knows where you are. Those bastards at the Razor’s Edge couldn’t have time it any better for them or worse for you.

“I’m coming to you as soon as humanly possible. Don’t answer the phone or the door. I know you have Reilly but you might have to consider putting paper on the floor for him. Once a door is open they’ll be trying to come in no matter what.”

Jade was stunned. Her mind was grappling with the ramifications of what this meant. Everything she had built for herself, everything she had stood for as a woman, all her hard fought battles and wars would be diminished by this one act of indiscretion she committed.

“Take the company jet and get here as soon as you can.” With that Jade disconnected the call.

Sitting on the couch with her head in her hands, wild despair tore through her as she yanked at her hair not even noticing how much it hurt. Who did she think she was thinking she could get away with this? Did she feel she was so far above everyone that she could have paid sex with no consequences? Anguish filled her like heavy wet cement, threatening to pull her under so she’d never get back up.

Had money made her feel so invulnerable, so shielded that her sense of entitlement was unrestricted?

Stacey, she didn’t blame. She had wanted
to walk away from her at the beginning. She had used her wealth to get Stacey to stay with her. She knew exactly where the blame lay and it lay squarely on her shoulders. Fifteen years Stacey’s senior and powerful with every advantage the world could offer, she knew better and no matter how much experience Stacey had, twenty-three years old was still only twenty-three years old.

“Jade, are you okay?” Stacey was watching her concernedly from the hallway.

Tears started rolling down her face as any remaining composure broke. “I’m not.”

Stacey walked over and wrapped her arms tightly around her.

She repeated over and over how sorry she was and that she hoped Stacey would forgive her.

Holding her face in her hands, looking in her eyes, she asked, “What happened, Jade?”

“They know about us. It’s all over the television, it’s in every paper everywhere. They know I paid you for sex.”

Looking at her, tears streaming uncontrollably down her face, Jade managed to choke out, “Men have been taken down for the same thing. Do you really think it’ll be any different for me?

“It’s going to be a hard fall and I may never recover from it. My reputation is going to hell in a hand basket.” Hysteria edged her voice as she spoke.

The company had been Jade’s life and love for so long it would be a painful loss for her. This stain on her reputation would probably never go away. Losing the company would be like amputating a limb. Even though it was missing it still felt like it was there. A painful phantom reminding you of what you had lost.

She felt Stacey’s arms go around her, holding her tight as if trying to absorb some of the shock. Stroking her, soothing her the best she could. Reilly gave a sharp woof at the back door wanting to go out. Stacey got up with the intent of opening the door so he could go do his business. Jade said, “Don’t.”
