Of my other stories, The Lost People, was published in AMOK Anthology, April Moon Books, Canada in Oct 2014, and A Hero’s Welcome, published by The Lovecraft eZine in 2015. These two stories, along with my self-published, The Search for Giselle, and other non-published short stories that had the names: Raven Song, Serpent’s Multiverse, Serpent of Uluru, The Lesser Path of Gods, and Centurion Gods of War, all have all contributed to this larger story.

I would also acknowledge the support of the Online Writing Workshop community, and in particular, former or long-time members, Patty Jansen, Larry Pinaire, Crash Froelich, Michael Keyton, Zvi Zacs, Liz Colter, Kit Davis, Raymond Walshe, Geo Clairval, and April Grey who have at one time or another provided sage writing advise for one or more of the stories that form the basis of this novel.

Thank you to Paul Mudie for his excellent artwork. Paul can be contacted at paul.mudie@blueyonder.co.uk.

No work in this genre could exist without the imagination of and paying homage to weird fiction and horror writer H.P. Lovecraft.

And finally, thank you for reading.

  The Early Years

The collection, from award winning author, David Kernot, traces his early science fiction published works from 2006. The collection includes his first competition winning story, Genesis, his first paid publication, The Sentinel, and culminates with his Writers Of The Future Honorable Mention: Dead Man Walking.

  Panspermian Earth

But trouble strikes, and he and Lisa cut short their exploration and return home. Together, they carve out a new existence for mankind in the stars (Gaia's Legacy). Includes seven connected short stories to test your faith in what you know of the world.

  Future Worlds

A collection of four novelette length stories that highlight mankind's exploration of the universe, and the struggle to live among the stars, of the hope of finding new and future worlds.

  Beam Rider

Down on his luck an adventurous young man has nothing to lose by answering a call to become a Beam Rider. But he had no idea where the journey would take him, and how his beliefs would be tested. His reward is to find love in the strangest of places. Come on the journey of a lifetime with Steve Hayshot as he discovers bad guys in all the wrong places.

  The Search for Giselle

After the war, a lost, beautiful woman reaches out and connects with Andrew Stone in a way he's never experienced. She's in danger. Andrew struggles against time to unlock the secrets of an ancient Arthurian device and tries to save the woman before Cthulhu dark forces take them both. Andrew gathers a military team and follows the trail out to Iraq to ancient Mesopotamia's Temple of Sin where he is grief stricken beyond words. Join him as he travels from Canada to Avebury in England, to the ancient monolith Silbury Hill and ancient burial chambers then to the ancient world of Mesopotamia in the search for Giselle.

This blended fantasy is sprinkled with military science fiction and a touch of the lovecraftian mythos, and should appeal to the dreamer who fears monsters under the bed.
