“Don’t even think about it.” Someone stepped down from the truck holding Audrey by the neck with a gun fixed to her temple. It was the driver of the truck who had been hired by Richard to ensure that their transactions were faultless. “Drop down your weapons.” The truck driver threatened while Audrey cried her eyes out. Graham stretched his gun further ignoring the criminals ranting.
“Graham don’t.” Elizabeth warned putting her gun on the sandy floor with eyes that spelt she would never forgive him should he screw up and provoke the criminal to kill her daughter.
“You heard the gentle man and your colleague Graham.” Richard jeered turning towards them to reveal his appearance.
“Richard?” Graham and Elizabeth called out in shock.
“We meet again…I knew you guys were and will always be a pair of incompetent police officers…How life has been treating you guys. I must say for ex colleagues you guys seem impolite” He mocked. “Not to worry…I’ll let that pass. He continued in eyeballing stares that spelt the disgust he felt setting his eyes on them once again. They hadn’t seen each other in a long while and it gave him great pleasure to see that they were going to die by his hands. Human trafficking was his life and an immense source of income and only death could alter that.
“Let go of her.” Graham threatened while the driver’s hand was almost pulling the trigger.
“Graham, drop down your weapon.” Elizabeth screamed in desperation. A loud sound stemmed from a gun and the next thing the driver dropped down blood oozing from his back.
“You have come to the end of the road Richard.” A voice emerged from the background and before Mario and Richard could make a move, the men in inspector Mark’s company rushed and unarmed them. Bewilderment ran over their faces but it was too late. The whole area was flooded by policemen and Lynx was in hand cuffs and help for the outlaws was nowhere near.
