Piper: Iron Angels MC, Book Two

  “Please,” Piper begged.

“What, baby?” The puff of air as he spoke only enhanced her arousal.

“Let me cum,” Piper pleaded. She needed it, desperately.

“Hmm,” Aidan voice vibrated against her. “You taste so sweet.” His tongue grazed her again.

Piper half moaned, half screamed in frustration. “Aidan!”

  “What?” he grinned.

“Make me fucking cum!” Piper couldn’t take any more. Pleasure and pain were warring throughout her body. She had never experienced anything like this. Pleasure so powerful, so intense, it bordered on painful.

Without a word, Aidan quickly stood and answered Piper’s demand. Yanking her off the counter top, he twisted her around and bent her over. Her nipples brushed against the coolness of the marble as he slid deep inside of her. Piper screamed out his name. As he pulled back and rammed into her a second time, Piper climaxed. Colors seemed to explode in her eyes. The force of her orgasm took her breath away. Aidan continued to pound into her and it only extended her own pleasure.

“Fuck!” Aidan grunted. “So goddamn tight.”

“Aidan!” Piper had never cum so hard. It felt as if her entire body locked in place. Wetness pooled between her thighs.

“Shit!” Aidan groaned as he too, followed Piper over the edge.

Slowly sliding out of her, he turned her to face him. Piper looked into his eyes and her breath caught. The blue was almost clear and seemed to be shining. A smile crept over his face. The moment would forever be etched into her mind.

“I love you,” Aidan said, leaning in and planting a soft kiss against her lips.

“I love you, too,” Piper replied.

“Let’s get you cleaned up,” Aidan grinned. “Mmm.” His eyes traveled the length of her body and then stayed locked on her pussy. Piper knew what he was seeing, and heat pooled in her middle again.

Would she ever get enough of him?

Piper watched as he turned on the shower and waited for the water to warm up. Once it was at the temperature he required, Aidan reached out a hand. Piper grabbed it and allowed him to lead her into the stall. The spray felt amazing against her flesh. Aidan reached behind her and grabbed her shower sponge. After squirting a large amount of body wash onto it, he began to soap her down. The act was so simple, but the intimacy of it didn’t fail to register in Piper’s mind. She knew it would be moments like that one that would stay with her. Small acts of kindness that would show love when words failed.

After washing her body, Aidan proceeded to her hair. Piper stood there and allowed him to do his thing. If he felt the need to care for her, then she would let him. The gesture warmed her heart and she felt herself fall for him, just a little bit more.

All too soon, the pampering came to an end. Aidan and Piper both had to get ready for the day, but their hands and lips did not want to cooperate. Toweling off and getting dressed was mixed with moans and laughter. Heat and energy.

“Okay, enough,” Piper laughed. “Or we will never get out of this bedroom.”

“Is that a bad thing?” Aidan smiled, reaching for her again.

Piper dodged his hand and hurried to the door. Just as she opened it, Aidan’s arms snaked around her. He planted a soft kiss against the nape of her neck, causing Piper to melt against him.

“I love you,” Aidan whispered in her ear.

“I love you, too.” Piper would never get tired of hearing him say it, nor would she get tired of telling him.

“Alright. Work. Let’s have a look at the files you have,” Aidan said as he smacked her ass to get her to move forward.

  * * *

Piper waited as Aidan scrolled through each file. She watched the expressions cross his face. She watched as he tilted his head from side to side, eyes squinting. If she didn’t know better, she would think they were in the same line of work. Warning bells started to go off in her head, but she pushed them aside. She would not let her mind run wild again. Not today. Not after the morning they had. She would not allow her mind to ruin things.

“Hmm.” Aidan flipped back through the crime scene photos.

“What?” Piper asked moving behind him and looking over his shoulder.

“Here.” Aidan pointed to a small spot on the screen. “This button. It’s in every picture.”

  “What?” Piper repeated.

  “Look.”

Piper watched as Aidan scrolled frame by frame pointing out the button in each. It wasn’t something that would really stick out to anyone.

“What the fuck?” Piper whispered. “How was that not noticed. How did I not notice it?”

She didn’t know how to feel. She was impressed that Aidan had found it, but also mad at herself for not. It was in that moment that something clicked. She had seen that button before but couldn’t remember where.

  Come on! Think, damn it!

Piper was about to voice her confusion when a loud crash stopped her and had her spinning around. The curtain in the living room was blowing inward, smoke was filling the room as her couch engulfed in flames.

“Fuck!” Aidan jumped up from the chair he was sitting in.

Piper ran to the kitchen and turned on the faucet. She had to get the fire out.

“What the hell are you doing?” Aidan yelled.

“Getting water,” Piper replied. “Help me get the fire out.”

“Piper, get the fuck out of the house!”

Aidan grabbed her arm and pulled her towards the door. Piper knew he was right, but she wanted to save her home. Needed to save it. Just as he was about to pull her out the door, she yanked her arm from his grip and ran back inside. Taking a second, she glanced at the fire and wished she hadn’t. The heat was making it hard to breathe, smoke was everywhere.

  “Piper!”

“Hold on,” she called back. “I need my gun and badge.”

Sprinting down the hallway, she skidded into the bedroom and grabbed both from the dresser. Running back down the hallway, Piper could see the fire making its way towards the kitchen. She saw her computer and her heart sank. All the information she had on the kidnappings and there was no way she could reach it and get out of the house safely.

A window somewhere nearby exploded and Piper knew it was past time to go. Running out the door, she fell to her knees in the front yard and started to cough. Vaguely, she could hear Aidan on the phone rattling off her address.

In the middle of another coughing fit, the ground next to her right hand exploded and dirt flew into the air.

  The fuck?

It took seconds to realize someone had just shot at her. Jumping to her feet, she turned to see the look on Aidan’s face and knew he had figured it out, too. They both took off running towards the cars sitting in the driveway. They needed protection. Gun in hand, Piper tried to find the location of the shooter. In her zone, she tuned out all the unnecessary noise around her. She had to keep Aidan safe. She knew he was still on the phone with dispatch, but she had to protect him until backup arrived. If anything happened to him…

  Don’t! Focus, Kimber!

Piper chastised herself. She was a good cop and an incredible shot. If she remained focused to the job at hand, she would have no problem keeping them both safe and unharmed.

Another shot rang out causing the glass on the passenger side of her car to shatter. Piper’s eyes zoomed in to the location of the shooter. In the house across the street. Second story window. Taking aim, she quickly fired off three shots. The window in the house fragmented, but Piper couldn’t tell if she had hit her target.

  She waited…

Still covered by the car, Piper could hear sirens heading to her location. As they got louder, she knew if the shooter was still alive, he or she would be going on the run. She had to stop them.

  “Stay here.”

“Where do you think you’re going?” Aidan asked, grabbing her arm again.

  “To do my job.”

Piper pulled free of his grasp and
crouched down at the end of the car. Looking over to the house, she didn’t see any movement. Taking a deep breath, she counted to three and sprinted off across the street. If they were still alive, and smart, they would choose the back exit to remain unseen. Running the width of the house, she came to a stop at the corner. Taking another deep breath, she carefully peeked around it, but saw no one. On the move again, she made her way to the next, constantly on guard.

The sirens were out front. She knew that at any second, this yard and her own would be swarming with law enforcement. If she wanted to find this guy, she had to move now. Moving into the back yard, she made her way over to the sliding glass door – or at least where the door should be. Glass littered the patio. Carefully, and as silently as she could, Piper stepped into the house.

Sweeping the downstairs, she cleared the living area and kitchen before another officer entered. Piper rounded the corner to see Rayden standing there, gun drawn, and he wasn’t alone. Piper’s heart sank.

What the fuck was Aidan doing in here?

Piper wanted to scream. The look on her face must have conveyed that because Rayden pointed to Aidan and gave her a thumbs up to indicate that he was good.

But that didn’t help Piper. That didn’t calm the chaos that was taking over. She would kill Rayden. Slowly. How could he bring his brother in here and put him in the direct line of danger?

Rayden gave the signal to move and just as Piper was about to, Aidan stepped forward. Rayden followed behind. Piper took the rear.

  What the hell?

From her position, she watched as the brothers moved in unison. There was something about it that told her they had done this before, several times. The two moved like dancers. One went left, the other shifted right. Perfectly. After this was over, she was demanding answers. As they came to the second-floor landing, Piper signaled. The room the shots came from was one door down. Just as they started to move, a shadow crashed into Aidan and sent him crashing through the banister and back down to the first floor.

  “Aidan!” Piper screamed.

“Shit!” Rayden rushed into the room the figure had come from. And ran back out. “Finish clearing the floor,” he ordered and ran down the stairs to help Aidan.

Piper was torn. She wanted to help Aidan, to keep him safe, but really, he didn’t need it. There was obviously more to him than he let on and he was more than capable of handling his own. Piper made the decision to follow Rayden’s order and cleared the top floor. As she finished the last room, she heard a series of shots. Her blood turned to ice.

  Aidan!

Oh my God… Oh my God… No. No. No. No.

Piper took off down the stairs, completely missing the last few. As she rounded the corner, she could see Aidan and Rayden standing next to each other. Aidan was out of breath and there was a cut above his left eye. Blood trailed down the side of his face.

“I’m fine,” he breathed. “I’m fine.”

“What happened?” Piper asked, taking in the scene.

“He pulled a knife and tried to stab Aidan,” Rayden answered. “I shot him.”

Piper rushed over and checked the guy on the ground. He was breathing. Alive. Barely. She needed him alive. Rushing to the front door, she called EMS over and rapidly explained the situation.

“I need him alive,” Piper told them. “Do not let him die. He may be our only lead to finding who is behind these kidnappings.”

“We’ll do our best, ma’am,” a paramedic replied.

Piper let them get to work as officers swarmed the house. The place was a zoo. The shooter’s gun was in a bedroom upstairs, along with a folder filled with photos of Piper, Aidan, and both of their homes and the bar.

“My money says this guy was just hired help,” Rayden said as he looked through the folder.

  “Most likely,” Aidan agreed.

“What are you doing here?” Everyone turned toward the newest voice in the room.

Cooper walked over and looked over the room. Taking the folder from Rayden, he thumbed through the photos himself.

“Piper ran into a house with a gunman in it,” Aidan replied. “As soon as Rayden got here, I followed him in.”

“You aren’t a cop anymore, Aidan,” Cooper said.

Piper’s head whipped around to Aidan. Staring into his eyes, she looked for the truth and there it was. His eyes begging her to let him explain.

  A cop… well that explained a lot.

But why hadn’t he told me?

And how did everyone know, but her?

Piper wanted answers, but now wasn’t the time. She and Aidan would talk later. Shoving her feelings aside, she turned back to Cooper and demanded to be put back on the kidnapping case.

“No,” he replied. “Plus, there is no evidence that this is linked to that.”

“Are you kidding me?” Piper laughed.

  “Cooper,” Rayden said.

  “The answer is no.”

“You can either put me on it, or I’ll work it on my own.” Piper wasn’t giving in. These assholes had tried to kill her not once, but twice now. She wasn’t letting it go.

“Piper, my answer is final,” Cooper reiterated.

  “Okay,” she replied.

“Okay?” he seemed surprised by her answer.

“Yep.” Piper would work it anyway. Even without his permission.

Fuck this job! And fuck him!

Walking towards the door, she heard Cooper call her name, but she didn’t stop. Heading across the street, she passed the fire truck and got her first glimpse of her home. It was damn near gone.

“Hey,” Aidan said, standing beside her.

  “Hey.”

They stood silently for a while watching as the firemen put out the last of the flames. Luckily, the only damage was to her house. If something had happened to any of the homes around her, she probably would have followed the ambulance to the hospital and killed the shooter herself.

  Fucking idiot!

“Why the hell would anyone use a fire bomb?” Piper asked. “In Texas of all places! This state is the dry grass capitol of the nation!”

“I understand that was a legit question,” Aidan replied. “And a joke, but I am just going to stand here and shut up.”

“Oh no,” Piper shook her head. “You don’t get to shut up. No. You get to explain how everyone knew you used to be a cop, but me.”

“I will explain everything,” Aidan said, leaning in to kiss her forehead. “But not here and not right now. It’s far too complicated.”

  “Complicated?” Piper raised a brow.

  “Yes.”

“Fine,” Piper caved. “It’s on hold until tonight. I have to get to my sister’s anyway.”

  “Your sister’s?” Aidan asked.

“Yes,” Piper sighed. “I promised if anything else happened I would go to the clubhouse. I hate that I actually have to keep that promise.”

Piper was not happy in the least. Not only would she have Sapphire up her ass, but also Tank, Scarlet, and the rest of the Angels. This day just kept getting worse.

“Piper.” She turned to see Cooper crossing the street and heading her direction. “We need to talk.”

“What?” Piper asked, clearly not in the mood.

  “Privately.”

“Whatever you have to say to me, can be said in front of Aidan,” Piper replied.

“Fine,” Cooper gritted out. “I meant what I said. No working this case.”

“And if I do?” Piper asked.

“Then I will be forced to take your badge.”

Piper knew that would be his answer. But honestly, at this point, she didn’t care. Someone had tried to kill her twice now and she wasn’t all that convinced that her fellow officers could find out who it was. But she knew she could. With the help of Sapphire and the Angels, Piper had no doubt that they could figure out who was behind this and the kidnappings.

So, with that thought in mind, Piper reached into her pocket and held out her badge.
“Take it now then.”

  “What?” Cooper replied, shocked.

  “Piper.” Aidan joined.

“What is going on?” Rayden quickly chimed in.

“As of this moment,” Piper replied. “I’m done. Consider this my resignation.” And with that, Piper left the three guys standing there, mouths gaped open, staring.

  Chapter Fourteen

  Aidan

What had just happened? Piper couldn’t have been serious. She was giving up her job? Aidan couldn’t let her do that. She loved being a Detective.

“Cooper,” Aidan said. “You cannot think she is serious?”

“She sounded serious to me,” he replied.

“Really?” Aidan retorted. “You know what this job means to her.”

“Yeah,” Cooper said, shaking his head.

Aidan watched as Cooper turned and walked away. He looked to Rayden for help, but his brother seemed just as lost as he was.

“Literally,” Rayden said. “What the hell just happened?”

“I think Piper just quit her job.” Aidan didn’t know what else to say.

“And Cooper is just going to let her?”

  “Apparently.”

  “I…” Rayden stammered.

  “I know.”

Looking over, he saw Piper leaning against her car. When she noticed him, she cocked an eyebrow and put her hand on her hip. “I am not going to continue to wait.”

  Well okay then…

“I’ll call you later,” Aidan told Rayden as he walked to where Piper was standing.

“Wait!” Rayden called as he and Piper got into the cars. “Where are y’all going?”

“To the Angel’s clubhouse,” Aidan answered.

“Okay,” Aidan nodded his head. “I’ll meet y’all over there.”

  * * *

The drive to the Iron Angels clubhouse took longer than Aidan originally thought. For a Wednesday afternoon, traffic was horrible. At one point, Aidan and Piper were standing still. For nearly an hour, nothing moved.

Houston traffic at its finest, Aidan thought for the thousandth time.
