Chloe runs off to the bathroom. As I get up to follow her, her mother gets in my path. “You are nothing but scum. If you are trying to get to her money, good luck. I will make sure she knows who you are. I can make your life a living hell.” I glare at her and don’t give her any words. As I glare at her resolve diminishes and she backs down. I don’t take threats to well. Walking past her, I wait in the hallway where the bathrooms are. If her mother knew that I have already been through hell, survived and conquered the devil himself, she might sing a different tune.

Chloe emerges, damn is she beautiful. Bright brown eyes, long hair that she has pinned on top of her head with those perfect curls falling around her face. My fingers itch to take her hair down and fist it, while I have her tied to the bed, at my mercy. “Want to get out of here?” I can’t get over the way she looks at me like she wants to devour me. Damn, I might just give in to my impulses and give it to her.

Guiding her out of the hotel, I fetch her car and my truck for us. “Where are you staying at?” She asks. I smile because I booked the hotel that she was staying at as well. P reported what the room number was. My room is only a few doors down from hers.

“Same hotel as yours, babe.” The look of shock crosses her face, but she plays it off nicely with a smile.

“Okay.” Was all she got out before the valet brought our vehicles to us. I follow her through LA traffic, getting agitated by how long it takes us to get back. I brought Diablo with me tonight. Figured that since he has been down in the dumps, he might perk up at seeing Vixen and Chloe. Damn dog lost his balls that first night a month ago. I haven’t been any better myself. I haven’t even been able to contact anyone or find a replacement for Chloe. All I can think about is getting her tied down and making her orgasm several times with just my touch and ministrations. My hand has been my constant companion. But damn that has to end soon. I need to get laid and soon. My mood has been shit for the past few weeks.

Finally, we pull up to the hotel. After parking, I wait for Chloe at the elevators. She walks in, and all eyes turn to her. She doesn’t even notice how many heads she turns. I like that, she doesn’t flaunt her beauty. That black dress doesn’t do anything to hide her curves either. Damn, I want to peel her out of that dress. Use the skirt to bind her wrists to the headboard and take my time with her. First, working her nipples until she is moaning a squirming and begging me to give her release. I just know deep down that her moans would be music to my ears.

She smiles when she sees me, and I can’t help but pull my lips into a small smile. She has no idea of what I am fantasizing about doing to her."What floor?” She asks when the elevator opens.

  “Four,” I tell her.

“Really, so am I.” I hit the number four and the close door button.

  “You bring Vixen?”

  “Yeah, did you bring Diablo?”

“Of course, the poor pup has been miserable.” She lets out a small laugh as the doors open.

“Yeah, so has Vixen.” She smiles a small smile. I have a feeling she is hiding something from me.

“Huh, you mind walking with me? With the dogs, of course.” Quick save. I tell myself. I don’t want to seem desperate to get close to her. I know what I want, but she isn’t ready for what I will bring to the bedroom. She needs to be trained. There are several Doms out there that love to teach their subs. But I am not one of them.

“Sure. Let me get Vixen, and I can meet you outside?” I like that she seeks my approval before making plans. Perfection. No, no and no. I chastise myself.

“Sounds good.” She stops at her room number as I continue down the hall four doors down. I let myself in my room after she goes inside. Sighing, I sit on the bed. Diablo sits at my feet, panting with his tongue rolling out of his mouth.

“Got a feeling we are screwed,” I tell him, he shakes his head at lets out a bark before going to the door and sitting. Shaking my head, I grab the leash and walk him out of the room. When I get outside, Chloe is nowhere to be found. My phone chimes letting me know I have a message. It’s a message from Chloe. I smile despite myself. Damn it all to hell, my resolve around her is getting weaker by the second.

Chloe: Gonna change, be there in a few.

  Me: Take your time

  Chloe: Ok

I smile to myself. She never once texted or called before. Of course, I didn’t make anything clear. I am still not on board entirely with what I want. My urges are not going to be the same that she is used to. I crave control over everything in my life. Therefore, I make an excellent enforcer; I know what I need and how to torture my victims. My step-father taught me all about torture and how to get the answers that I want. That wasn’t all that asshole gave me, either. I push those memories to the back of my head as well.

I light up a smoke as I wait for Chloe to make her way outside. Diablo and I walk around a bit. Putting out the smoke, I get a mean mugged by an older woman. “Fighting dogs is not a sport, young man.” The elderly woman scolds me.

“Don’t fight ‘em, I adopted ‘em.” I correct her. Her face morphs from disgust to pure happiness.

“The poor baby, you found him like this?”

“Yes, ma’am. I found him at Healing Hearts Animal Shelter. I couldn’t leave him there. The previous vet was going to put him down.” I shrug; it was fate that brought the dog to me. He was easily trained, and although he had a rough start to life, he is happy. He loves children and has a protective streak a mile long. He proved that to me with Chloe.

“Well he looks mighty fine to me, and happy.” To prove that he was happy, Diablo sat on his haunches and let his massive tongue roll out. His attention snapped to the sliding doors as Chloe and Vixen walked out. As the two got closer, Diablo stood and let out a soft whine. “Looks like he has a girlfriend.” She snickered. She looked from me to Chloe and gave me a big grin. “Looks like you do too.” I didn’t correct her as Chloe came to a stop in front of us. Vixen rolled to her back at my feet. Without thinking, I rubbed her belly.

“You two make a cute couple.” The lady announced as she walked off. Chloe’s eyes were as big as dinner plates. I let off a small laugh at her face.

“Come; let's let them get reacquainted with one another.” We walked to the grassy area that was designated for dogs.

“I ordered a pizza if you and Diablo want to stop by for dinner,” Chloe announced after the dogs did their business. The blush that graced her face made my dick stir in my pants.

  “Yeah, that sounds good.”

“I got pepperoni, hope that is okay.”

“Any pizza without pineapple is good.” Not her too. Butch claims that pineapple belongs on pizza. It doesn’t. End of story.

“What? Are you discriminating against pineapple pizza?”

“Yeah, pineapple is a fruit. Fruits don’t belong on pizza.” Hands-on her hips, she turns to me.

  “Ever tried it?”

“Nope, and not going to, either.” She gives me a slow smile.

“Can’t knock it until you try it.”

“Touché, but it still doesn’t belong on a pizza.” She frowns for a second, then smiles.

“Well, can’t say I didn’t try. But trust me, Jag, once you try it, you might like it.”

“I highly doubt it. Because I don’t plan on trying it.” I shudder at the thought of eating pineapple on a pizza. It is just wrong to put a fruit on pizza.

“Ever tried pineapple on a burger?”

“Woman, what is wrong with you?” I tell her with a smile tugging on my lips.

She lets out a small laugh, “You don’t explore your taste buds, much, do you?”

“Maybe not food, but I do explore other options.”

“And what options would that be?” I look her up and down and adjust my dick in my pants as discreetly as possible. She looks so damned tasty I could lick her from her feet to her neck. Short shorts and a black tank with a skull with a pink bow. Damn, she looks ready to be picked. My dick would love nothing more than
to sink into her.

“That would be a topic discussed after pizza,” I tell her with a smirk as her cheeks turn a beautiful pink shade. It is rare for a woman her age to blush at sexual innuendos, hell the woman blushes a lot around me.

I am looking forward to making her blush every damn day. A man could live for that pure pleasure, seeing his woman blush.

  Chapter 8

  Chloe

I have never blushed so much in my life. I don’t know what it is about Jag. But I keep finding myself blushing. I am not a virgin or even inexperienced when it comes to sex. I became a pro at one-nightstands. It was simple to master, don’t get emotionally involved. I learned that lesson in college.

After having an emotional breakdown during finials, the man I thought I would spend forever with, freaked and left while I was breaking down. My anxiety was high, and I didn’t have anyone to call that could talk me down. My father had been gone for two years, I was miserable, worried about the finials, and the stress of studying and working took its toll on me. Yes, I worked. I didn’t have to, but I wanted the full experience. I got it all right. I was twenty at the time. Dean was there for me when my father passed, but for me breaking and crying in front of him, he turned tail and ran for the hills. Yep never again would I seek out a relationship and get involved and talk about my problems. Never again. It was hard enough to speak with Dr. Moore.

Stress isn’t something that I can take. I try to get rid of it by walking, doing yoga, and listening to music. I learned, and my therapist helped me to find new ways to de-stress over the years. I never wanted to have that feeling again. I felt hopeless, and when Dean walked out on me, it hurt even more. His words as he left, “I don’t have time for this. I don’t need your shit.” still sting to this day. So, I keep my shit to myself. I don’t let anyone know that I suffer some days. Grin and bear it is my motto to this day.

Keeping that in mind, what my therapist wants me to do is out of the question. I would love to give it a go, but I feel that something like that is just to intimate for a one-nightstand. Deep down, I do crave having a relationship. I really do want one. But I have issues letting people in. My friends are the ones I work with. Pathetic, I know. Yes, my therapist keeps pushing me to go out, make friends. But I just can’t put myself out there like that. I don’t feel like I fit in anywhere. I am the odd man out.

After thirty minutes of the dogs walking around and getting re-acquainted with one another. The small talk is limited. It seems we are both in our heads. Not always a bad thing, of course, my thoughts are trying to dissect Jag and why he doesn’t want anything to do with me. And then out of the blue to saves the day, only to barely talk with me. Ugg, the man is so confounding.

I try to pay for the pizza, but Jag won’t let me. He even carries the pizza to my room for me. I want Jag, I want his hands on me, and I have this crazy fascination with his beard and the need to ride his face. But I don’t want a wham-bam-thank-you-ma’am kind of night with him. But can I put myself out there for him? Would he be worth it? If Vixen is anything to go from, that answer would be a yes. Jag feels essential; it scares the shit out of me.

The elevator ride is done in silence. My stomach growls at the smell of the pizza. Mortified, I look down. “Guess that fancy dinner wasn’t good food.” Jag comments.

“It was good, I just didn’t finish…” I let my sentence hang in the air. I can feel my cheeks heat yet again, thinking about that painting and my mother. I have the need to find a deep dark hole and bury myself in for eternity.

“Sorry about that. I still can’t believe those old women had a bidding war over it.” He shakes his head like he can’t believe that women would want him. Did he not realize how damned hot he was? The man turned heads and burned panties daily. I was sure of it.

“I can believe it,” I comment as the elevator doors slide open. Getting to my room, I feel butterflies in my belly. I have never been this nervous about bringing a man to my room. Get a grip Chloe. He is smoking hot and doesn’t see you that way. He is just a nice guy trying to help out. He is neighborly, that is all.

We get in the room. It is a generic hotel room, with a queen bed, a little dining area, and an attached bathroom. Nothing to write home on. We get the dogs off-leash, automatically, they both jump on the bed. Shaking my head, I turn to Jag, who has an amused look on his face. He places the box down on the little table by the window. “So, what made you decide to paint?” oh crap; now he wants to know about the painting.

“Uh, well, my father was an artist. So I kind of followed in his footsteps.”

  “But, you run the shelter.”

“Yes, it was my dream when I was a child. I took business classes and art classes in college. So I could have a better knowledge of the business side. I can handle the cuddles and care for the animals, but I had no idea how to run a business before.”

  “That’s pretty impressive.”

“No, I just inherited everything. I didn’t start it up I am just keeping it going.” I hated that I inherited the shelter instead of starting it up myself. I don’t want to feel like I was given everything I have. I mean, in a way, I have been. But I have tried not to touch the money that my father left me. The only time I have dipped my fingers in was when I bought my house. Other than that, I have made money off the paintings that I do. It is not glamorous, and I have learned the art of savings.

“Maybe, but it is what you do with it that matters.” Jag takes a bite of his pizza, as he sits down at the little table. My stomach rumbles again. I make my way over and take a seat to eat.

“What do you do?” I ask I am curious what has been keeping away for so long. It is like he doesn’t live there anymore.

“Nothing much, I own A&S Security.” I choke down the pizza as the name rings a bell. It is the company that my father went through for the security system. “You good?” Jag asks after I catch my breath from the coughing I was doing.

“Yeah, my dad used your company.” Jag nods his head, and his lips pull up to give me that damn smile. “How did you figure out where I was today?” I ask it has been bugging me since I saw him tonight.

“Easy, I had Diesel check into where you were going to be.” He keeps eating as if he didn’t just admit that he was doing some form of stalking. My mind reels at that statement. Why would he have me investigated? “I am not stalking you, Chloe. Just making sure you were safe. Listen, that Thomas guy. I had him investigated, and all his transactions watched. We found out that he had made a pretty big purchase at a jewelry store. So, I made sure he didn’t do anything else.”

  “But why?”

“Cause I didn’t like that he was at your house. The look in his eyes, it just rubbed me wrong. The work I do, I see a lot of things that could have been avoided. Women that have stalkers, similar to what Thomas was doing, sometimes we get there in time to keep the stalker away, other times- well, let’s just say it doesn’t always end pretty. I didn’t want that for you.”

“So, does this Diesel work for you?”

“Yes and no. Diesel is a brother in the club that I am in. He is the tech guy. He helps to monitor the security feeds and looks people up for us. Not just me but the club as well.”

  “So the jacket-”

“Cut. It’s a cut,” he deadpans.

“So, the cut, is that the club you’re in?” I have heard of the Angels and Sinners MC. I just have never met one of its members before.

“Yep, it’s like a family. We are there for each other. Several of the brothers have Ol’ Ladies. We each have a job in the club, mine is to keep the club safe and reputation solid.” I feel like there is more that he does. Jag seems like a nice guy, but his eyes hold secrets and pain. I can see the pain there now in his eyes.

“I bet having all of the family is nice.” I smile, thinking about my little family that I had growing up. I only met one of my uncles, we have a decent relationship. But nothing amazing. I was an only child growing up, and my mother wasn’t impressed with me.
Even less today. My father was all I really had growing up.

“Yeah, but it can get a little rough though sometimes.” He gives off one of his famous smiles. “You have a big family?”

“Oh, no. It was pretty much my dad and me. My mom, well you met her, she didn’t much take to me as a child and even less as an adult.” I shrug my shoulders, just stating the facts.

Jag reaches across the table and squeezes my hand. “Sorry, babe. I hate that for you.”

“No big deal. It is life.” I smile at him; as I wave it off. He lets go of my hand and gives me a nod.

“So, about that painting tonight.” I can feel my cheeks heat up. I can’t believe that I thought I could get away with that painting. I should have went to one of the dogs. That would have been safer. But hell, how was I to know that he would show up.

“Oh, god. Look, I am really sorry about that.”

“Nah, you got my good side.” He has jokes.

“Yeah.” Was all I could say. What else was there to say? Jag didn’t have a good side, all of him was yummy. My mouth watered thinking about what he might taste like. I never really considered myself a hussy, but for him, I just might be one.

“What other types of paintings do you have stored away?” He waggled his eyebrows at me.

“Uh, well, I do a little bit of everything.” His eyes get wide.

  “Even nudes?”

“Oh, dear lord, no.” The truth was that I had done a few nude paintings and drawings in college. It was like it was mandatory or something. But I didn’t do them now, because well I just didn’t. But I would be happy to do a nude painting of Jag.

“Oh, well, that is a shame.” He ends with taking a bite of his pizza. I take a minute to just study him while he eats. That beard is a little longer than it was last time I saw him. It is long, like down to the top of his shirt long. He has the start of crows’ feet that tell me either he smiles a lot or squints in the sun too much. I would bet the second, his smiles are small but sexy as hell. That scar just adds to the looks, it gives him a don’t mess with me look, and it makes me wet just thinking about all the naughty things I want to do with him.
