The Garage Dweller

I said, “I will sign the charging waiver. I just don’t want to see this kid ever again.” I looked at Mikey. “I hope you learn someday that there is a right way and a wrong way to handle your problems. If you had told me you were homeless and had asked me to help you find housing, this would have been handled much differently. There is no way you could have stayed here with my schedule, but I am sure I could have found someone to take you. Frightening me half to death was not necessary. You really blew it, kid.”
I turned to Dawson. “CSS should already have a file open.”
Dawson nodded. “Okay, let’s go see what we can work out.” He tugged at Mikey’s arm and led him away.
Danny and I both had tears in our eyes. What a sad turn for a life to take. Damn.
I gave Danny the day off from school and let him sleep until noon. Our night had been traumatic, and neither of us was going to be functioning well. After we had showered and dressed, I drove us to the police station. The police wanted to complete their reports, and I had to sign the waiver of prosecution, something the police requested when you declined to press charges. That prevented a liability suit against the department should the alleged criminal cause further problems.
When we got to the station, we were led to a conference room. Harrison was waiting. I was disappointed. I had hoped to see Manders again.
We were asked to write out our recollections of the events surrounding Mikey’s removal from my property, and then a tape recorder was used to take verbal statements, which Harrison supplemented with additional questions about Mikey’s background and past interactions.
When we were finally released, Danny shook Harrison’s hand. “I won’t say this was fun, but I do wish you had at least served lunch.” Danny’s stomach had been growling for the past hour and we had eaten a late breakfast.
Harrison just laughed.
We left the station and went to the closest diner, a mom and pop operation we frequented on that side of town. Danny threw down two burgers, double fries, and a big piece of chocolate cake. I managed to eat an omelet and drink a cup of coffee. I was still reeling from the Mikey affair. As a mom, it hurts when you see any child mistreated by their own family. But I was at a loss as to how to help. I had represented one too many kids who had been roughed up and spit out by the system. I could only hope Mikey’s Nana provided the stability he needed to make a successful transition into adulthood.
As we prepared to leave, Danny made a detour to the bathroom and I paid the bill. I turned to walk out the door and ran right into Manders. He was dressed in a well-tailored suit with a light blue dress shirt and a silver and blue tie. He looked amazing. The tingle between my legs was very pronounced. I smiled. “I would say, Imagine meeting you here, but since this is only one of two diners in town, I guess it was inevitable.”
Manders laughed. “Actually, I was hoping to run into you. I thought I would be able to catch you after you were done with Harrison, but he let you get away.”
I crooked an eyebrow, “Really?” My smile was amused, but my mind was doing a victorious fist pump. I said, “I do have a phone.”
“Aww, where’s the fun in that? I wanted to see you again. In person.”
“I’m flattered, Officer Manders.”
“Only part of the reason I wanted to talk to you.” He extended his hand. “We need to begin again. I’m Chief Manders. Have been for three months now. I guess you missed the memo. When I do patrol with my rookies, I try to keep things low-key. Introducing myself as the chief gets awkward. But now that your case is concluded, I thought I should reintroduce myself before I asked you out to dinner.” He smiled. “Care to accompany me to the country club on Saturday night?”
Okay. I admit it. I acted like that silly schoolgirl who was finally noticed by the boy of her dreams. I blushed. I fidgeted. Then I managed to say, “I’d love to.”
He grinned. “Can I have your phone?” I handed it over, and he plugged in his number.
“There,” he said with a laugh, handing it back. “If you ignore my calls, I’ll know it’s intentional.”
I continued to grin like a goofy adolescent. For a kick-ass attorney, I suddenly had no words.
Behind me, my son whispered, “This is so gross.”
I turned and grabbed my son’s hand, pulling him out the door. “I’ll see you Saturday, Chief,” I tossed over my shoulder. The look on my son’s face said it all. The fact I had a date with the police chief was going to be all over the Internet. My son perceived it as his duty to reveal every little detail about my life to his friends. I had no privacy. Thank God, my son would be headed to his father’s house on Saturday. My ex-husband only lived two blocks away, but that was far enough. My son had a tendency to be too protective toward me. He had run off more than one potential suitor.
By the time Saturday arrived, I was a bundle of nerves. I was confident in my skills as a lawyer. But as a woman, I found myself sorely lacking. I had always focused more on my brain than my looks, and my ex-husband’s joking comment that I didn’t have a sexy bone in my body still haunted me. That wasn’t why we parted, but that comment left lasting scars.
I pulled on the sexiest dress I owned. It was discreet but suggestive. The cowl neck just barely provided a hint of cleavage. The above-the-knee length was highlighted by a slit in the side of the dress that ended at the top of my stockings. However, because the dark-blue dress had a full skirt, you had to be fixated on the slit to discover what lay underneath. This was a dress that made me feel like a sensual woman, full of mystery and hidden delights. And my dark thigh high stockings and spiked heels only added to that effect.
I spent a few minutes adjusting my hair, added some makeup, and was ready. We were having dinner at a place where I had been a member for 20 years. Little River Country Club had exactly 200 families who paid excessive annual dues. I had joined not only for the business contacts I would make within the community, but also for the pool, tennis courts, and Sunday brunches my son had come to love. I knew every member, and they knew me. After this evening, they would all be talking about me and David. Little River was small town living at its best and its worst. Gossip was a big industry among the ladies who lunch.
David’s eyes lit up when he saw me, and the rest of the evening was a bit of a blur. He had brought me flowers, and plied me with good food and wine. By the time we danced after dinner, I was ready to paste David against the wall and expose all of my womanly charms. I was so gone.
Apparently, David had the same impulse. We were barely inside the front door of my home when he pushed me against a wall and began to peel off my clothing. I responded in kind, yanking down his pants and pulling his shirt over his head. We weren’t teenagers, and I saw no reason to wait. Our attraction to each other was more than clear.
David bent me over an armchair in the living room and his hand went to work. He kissed the back of my neck while his fingers began to gently probe my womanly channel. “You’re so wet,” he murmured, “So ready for me.” Then two fingers slipped inside of me. In minutes, I was quivering like a bowl of melting gelatin. David skillfully poked and probed, building the heat within me. When he began to caress my clit, I moaned and pushed back again him.
He chuckled. “I like you like this. So wanton. So unlike the proper lawyer.” Gently, he kicked my legs apart and then inserted his manly member into my welcoming hole. With one hard thrust, he filled me.
I sighed as he began our personal mating dance, his determined thrusts met by my pulsating bliss. I was rapidly approaching my peak, and my vagina was squeezing his manly organ like a fist. I felt the fire spiral out of my core, bringing me closer and closer to the edge. I screamed his name as my mind went blank, my mind shattering into a thousand pieces.
David gripped me by the hips and withdrew. Then he slammed his cock inside me and exploded. He held me in place for a moment, my body still shuddering, our combined juices running down my stockings, which he had not bothered to re
move. Then David gently pulled me into his arms and led me to the sofa. He laid me down and cuddled up beside me, pulling a waiting sheepskin blanket over the two of us. His eyes were bright, filled with desire. David kissed me deeply, his passion untamed by our quick joining.
I wrapped my arms around him and thrust my tongue between his lips. My body began to move against him as we explored each other’s mouths. Then his lips moved to a breast, kissing the plump mound and snagging a nipple. I moaned as he sucked it into his mouth, pulling me away from that pool of sensual bliss, uncovering a greater need. When he bit down, I gasped and my body shuddered. All I could murmur was, “More.”
David’s hands and lips continued to explore my body, licking, sucking, tasting. He slowly moved down my body until he reached my womanly core. Shedding the blanket, he buried his face in my mons, sucking my engorged nub between his teeth. I bucked against him, the sensation sending a lightning bolt to my soul. My head was filled with swirling color, my body no longer under my control.
Then he bit down and I reared up, screaming his name. He peered up at me and smiled. I had exploded onto his face, and David appeared to be very pleased. He quickly picked up my legs and pushed them against my body, spreading them wide. David entered me again, spearing me like a crazed warrior, pounding my vaginal passage with each thrust. I climaxed again and began to squirm. David pulled out and sprayed me with his seed, marking my body as his own. Then he collapsed on top of me and nuzzled my neck.
We lay like that, panting from exertion, until our bodies finally stilled. David propped his head on his hand and studied me. “That was amazing.” His smile was sensuous and knowing.
I reached out and touched his face, my fingers tracing his lips. “Now I know why you’re the chief,” I joked.
David threw back his head and laughed. His hand began to circle my breast, and he pulled on a nipple. “Maybe I can arrest you for attempting to bribe an officer with sex, and handcuff you to your bed, or I can just handcuff you to your bed,” he murmured. “Do you want to fight or do you want to submit?”
My smile was sweet. “Sounds like entrapment to me, especially since you were technically impersonating a policeman, which I believe is a felony. So I could make a citizen’s arrest and handcuff you to my bed.”
He laughed and buried his face in my neck. “Sorry, babe, but I own the handcuffs.”
I laughed, again. “So do I.” I kissed him and ran my hand down his body, gripping his manhood.
He peered at me, his eyes wicked. “Game on, darling” he whispered. He pulled me into his arms and threw me over his shoulder, running with me up the stairs. David laid me on the bed, and ran back downstairs. He sprinted back up the stairs, handcuffs in hand. Two pairs, not one. The man was prepared.
I smiled up at him, enjoying the lust in his eyes, and gamely offered him my hands. He clicked one cuff to my wrist and the other to the bedpost. Then he gently grabbed my other wrist and did the same. I was so wrapped up in the moment, I almost didn’t hear it.
David motioned for me to be quiet and I listened.
