  ABOUT THE CONTRIBUTORS

  Jodi Picoult is the author of seventeen bestselling novels, including the #1 New York Times bestsellers House Rules, Handle with Care, Nineteen Minutes, and My Sister’s Keeper. She is the codirector for the Trumbull Hall Troupe, a teen theater troupe whose proceeds go to charity. She lives in New Hampshire with her husband and children. Visit her at www.jodipicoult.com.

  Jake van Leer, a high school senior, is one of the founding members of the Trumbull Hall Troupe. He has raised more than $40,000 for charity in his role as business manager for the troupe, and has performed in every show. He participates in multiple vocal and theater ensembles, and was selected for the NH All-State Music festival. Jake has performed at Notre Dame Cathedral and Carnegie Hall. He lives in New Hampshire.

  Ellen Wilber is a teacher and musician with more than twenty-five years of experience introducing children to music. She is a member of the Cardigan Mountain Tradition, a bluegrass band, and the founder of a long-running kids’ summer theater program. She is the music director for the Trumbull Hall Troupe, for which she has composed more than one hundred songs. She also composed and performed the music that will be featured in Picoult’s 2011 novel, Sing You Home. Ellen lives in New Hampshire.
