Fire fighting appliances are divided into the following categories:
(a) Capacity, 150 tons of water per hour at 160 lb per square in. Pyrene multiple injectors.
(b) 107 tons of water per hour at 100 lb per square in.
(c) 75 tons of water per hour at 100 lb per square in.
(d) 16 tons of water per hour.
(e) One incline inductor unit for foam equipment on wash deck service.
(f) 130 tons of water per hour at 70 lb per square in. No foam equipment.
(g) 190 tons at 120 lb per square in (no pyrene multiple injectors).
(h) No separate fire pump.
When tugs are required to work in pairs they should be of approximately the same power.
The sea-going capabilities can be classified as follows:
[A] Can proceed in any weather.
[B] Can proceed in any but the heaviest Atlantic weather.
[C] Not available for heavy Atlantic or very heavy North Sea weather.
