Blissfully Blindsided

“She just turned thirteen, son!” Ronnie waved without looking back at Blaze and Caleigh. “Goodnight.”

“How do you feel about having kids?” Caleigh asked as Blaze took her by the hand and started walking quickly toward their house.

“For me, it was just proven they’re not a good idea. How about you?”

“We had the same epiphany,” Caleigh said. “I think we should run in case they wear Ronnie down and she lets Rosie drive.”

Caleigh sagged against the shower wall. “I was so tired after spending the day helping Chantal put away her stuff, but when you mentioned sexual things, I was energized.” She put her hand on top of Blaze’s head. “Oh, don’t you do that right now, save it for the coffee table.”

“Where’s that on your list of priorities?” Blaze asked as she kissed her way up Caleigh’s stomach.

“Right after your office.” Caleigh switched off the water as Blaze stood. “I want you to think of me when you’re in there.”

“The one in the house or the store?”

“The house—for tonight,” Caleigh answered with a sexy smile. “I think I want to start off by having you sit in your chair.”

“We may need to rethink that.” Blaze grabbed a towel and started drying Caleigh. “It has wheels, and you know I have to dig my heels into something when you’re driving me crazy. I have a mental picture of me scooting the chair away from you whenever you get me close.”

“That could be a problem. I’ll just sit you up on your desk next to your computer monitor.” Caleigh snatched the towel from Blaze and started drying her. “Wait. That’s no good. We piled all that stuff on your desk when we painted the baseboards. “Let’s go with the coffee table, then maybe—did you just yawn?”

“I’m good, really,” Blaze said and yawned again, which caused Caleigh to yawn. “You know we could do the ’round-the-house thing tomorrow.”

Caleigh nodded. “Yeah, that’s good. When we wake up, we can clean off the desk. Are we drying hair tonight?”

“No, let’s get in the bed. I’m freezing now.” Blaze took off running toward the bedroom

Caleigh flipped off the bathroom light as she chased Blaze and plunged both rooms into darkness. Her eyes couldn’t adjust quickly enough, and she slammed into Blaze, who’d stopped to turn the covers down. Blaze flew onto the bed facefirst with Caleigh on top of her. “I’m glad we nixed the coffee table since you’re gonna get rough,” Blaze said in surprise. “I don’t think it could’ve handled that.”

“That wasn’t on purpose.” Caleigh rolled off Blaze and switched on a lamp. “Did I bust my nose?”

Blaze sat up and looked at it. “No. Are you okay?”

“Yeah, just give me a sec.”

“Since we have big plans for tomorrow, do you wanna just cuddle? I stacked so many plates deep into the cabinets today, and I’m kinda tired.” Blaze yawned again. “Why does she have so many?”

“Chantal must’ve entertained a lot. You didn’t see all the cutlery I helped her sort through.” Caleigh pulled the covers over herself and Blaze before she switched off the light. “Tomorrow, I get to have my way with you first.”

“After breakfast though, right?” Blaze asked as she pulled Caleigh close and wrapped her arms around her.

“Yeah, and coffee. Then we really have to do something with that desk.”

  “Sex at noon then?”

“Blaze…we don’t have kids, are we really scheduling intimacy?”

“Oh, shit, we are,” Blaze said with a groan.

“Well, I’m sorry, but we haven’t been together long enough for this to happen.”

“What’re you—oh…hey.” Blaze laughed. “I love it when you do that. Ow, not that.”

“You liked it the other day.”

“I was super turned on then.” Blaze inhaled sharply. “Okay, I’m getting there.”

“I feel it. I love it when your muscles tense.”

Blaze grunted. “That’s a cramp. I may need to drink some more water before we go any further.” She burst out laughing when she heard Caleigh snort. “We should really just cuddle.”

“Oh, I love you, Blaze,” Caleigh said between fits of laughter.

“I love you too. You’re my world. I know that’s hard to believe because I’m laughing my ass off.”

“Well hell, at least we’re happy,” Caleigh blurted out before her cackle of laughter echoed off the walls and caused Blaze to laugh even harder.
