Greed (Seven Deadlies MC Book 4) Page 14

by Kaitlyn Ewald

She cried out when his mouth left hers.

His hands were lifting her dress up and over her hips and he was slowly sinking to his knees.

“Killian! What are you doing?,” She hissed.

Her back pressed the door closed all the way and he just glanced up at her from beneath his lashes.

“I changed my mind. I wanna taste you instead.”

Emily started to shake her head, but he’d already pushed her panties aside, and-

  Ohhhh…

  That’s what that feels like…

Pregnancy had her clit so sensitive she was almost in tears when his tongue flicked it hard, before he sucked it into his mouth and laved it with his tongue. Emily’s fingers splayed flat against the door as she tried to catch her breath…

  “Oh, God…”

Green looked at her from between her legs, his eyes dark and hazy with lust.

“God ain’t got nothin’ to do with it, baby.”

His words only made her hotter, and let’s be real, he always could bend her body to his will. His hands, his mouth, his cock…they were all magic.

Emily’s eyes closed of their own accord when he dipped two fingers into her pussy and slowly worked her open, his tongue and teeth still worshipping her slit.

“You always get so wet for me, Em…I’ve missed this,” Green whispered as one of his hands snaked upwards, resting on her thigh. He propped her knee up and onto his shoulder as he worked his fingers deeper.

The new angle had her whole body tensing as her orgasm crested.

Her hands left the wood of the door and fell into his hair as she muttered his name over and over again, like she’d never stopped.

  Like they’d never been separated.

“That’s right, come for me. Fuck, I’ve been waitin’ so long for this,” Killian said gruffly against her thigh.

He seemed to sense that she needed more, just a little more, because he quickened the pace of his fingers, quickly sending her right over the edge. His teeth nibbled on her clit, on her inner thigh, as his fingers kept moving, prolonging what felt like the most intense orgasm of her life.

Her chest was still heaving when her eyes fluttered open, her gaze meeting his.

Her cheeks flushed, but she knew she didn’t need to be shy with Green; he’d seen every inch of her, touched every centimeter of her skin.

“You look so damn gorgeous when you come,” He whispered.

Emily ran her fingers through his hair, combing the strands back into place gently.

  “That was…unexpected.”

“A lot of good things are, and let me tell ya, I’d take your sweet honey pot over a pot of gold any day,” Killian joked.

Emily giggled and watched as he licked his lips.

“I wanna fuck you so bad right now. You know that, right?”

  She slowly nodded.

Green looked at his watch and swore, his gritty voice making the pounding pulse in her chest double. She wanted to fuck him, too, even if she wasn’t sure she was ready to go there yet.

I mean, he did just eat my pussy like it was his last meal…does that count?

Before she could argue her own skewed logic, Green grabbed the hem of her dress, fixed her panties, and nodded towards the door.

“We better head out if we wanna get there on time. I don’t want your father to hate me before he gets to meet me.”

Emily leaned up on tiptoes and kissed his chin, combing his thick beard into place.

“Daddy won’t hate you. He’ll love you because I love you.”

It was the first time she’d said it since they broke up; said it blatantly, and openly, and Green paused when the words left her mouth.

But, he didn’t press her for more and she appreciated it.

“Let’s get going. I have a feeling your old man is gonna be harder to impress than you are, and Lord know if that’s the case, I’ll need a fuckin’ miracle to get through this dinner.”

Emily didn’t argue because Green was probably right, but hell, if her father was willing to invite them to dinner, then obviously he was open to the idea of at least liking her…intended? Man-friend?

Emily groaned as she rolled her eyes at her own thoughts.

She obviously needed to come up with a better term for Green, because she was starting to confuse herself.

She could just tell her father he supplied her with Grade-A peener and enjoy his reaction, but she didn’t think that would go over too well..

As Green opened her car door for her, she realized that it didn’t really matter what she called him. They didn’t need a label, and maybe they never would, because even though she’d been so mad she didn’t pay attention to it, he’d been claiming her every day since Rider died.

He’d taken care of her day in and day out and he never bitched about it.

Killian O’Laughlin was a good man, and while he wasn’t anywhere near perfect, Emily knew that if she ever needed for anything, he would give it to her.

  Chapter 19

Emily tugged on Green’s hand as they entered the restaurant of her father’s choosing; some fancy place with white tablecloths and crystal chandeliers. Emily wasn’t unused to the lavish accommodations, but Green looked completely out of place.

“I promise I won’t let him hurt your feelings,” She whispered.

  Green snorted.

“I could always shoot him,” He offered.

Emily shot him a glare and he winked at her.

“Just kidding. I’ll let you do it. From what I recall, you’re perfectly capable.”

Emily’s mouth fell open at his wry comment and she smacked his shoulder as they were led towards the back of the restaurant, where her father was waiting for the both of them. He was wearing something a little less relaxed, but he was still dressed to the nines. Green looked like a heathen with all of his tattoos and piercings as he placed a strong hand on her lower back and smiled at her father.

“Emily, Killian. Glad you could make it.”

Green nodded and held out his hand towards Bryan.

“Nice to meet you as well,” He said kindly.

Emily could tell his grip was strong and confident as he shook her father’s hand and pride filled her. They obviously came from very different backgrounds, but it still felt right to see her father and him standing side by side.

Bryan appraised Green with a keen eye as he gestured towards the table.

“Why don’t you two take a seat? Emily, you must be tired from working,” Bryan said softly.

She nodded and Green pulled out her chair for her, looking at her to see if she was settled comfortably before he took his own seat.

Emily could see her father watching them like a hawk out of the corner of his eye, but she didn’t miss his small smile as he picked up his menu.

“So, what do you do for a living, Killian?”

Emily almost choked on her water as she slowly set her glass back down.

  “I’m an accountant.”

Her father’s eyebrows hit his hairline as he appraised him.

  “Is that so?”

Green nodded, as if he were challenging Bryan to call him out on his white lie.

“Judging by your leather apparel, I’d say you’re not an accountant for any firm I would recognize.”

Emily slid her hand up Green’s thigh under the table and squeezed gently.

“Unless your accountant handles illegal affairs regarding the Seven Deadlies MC, then probably not.”

Green said this as he lifted his own glass to his lips, his expression serene and relaxed. Emily’s eyes widened at his words and her gaze shot to her father.

He was watching Green with an unreadable expression on his face, his upper lip twitching as if he were trying really fucking hard not to say something that would upset her. Emily wasn’t usually one to let her father run the show, but she had a feeling Killian didn’t need her help.

He stared at her father right back, unflinching.

&n
bsp; “Illegal affairs?”

Green grinned as he scratched at his chin.

“Not all of ‘em, but most.”

Emily tried to smother a laugh under her breath by coughing, but Green’s eyes landed on her for just a second before they bounced right back to her father.

Bryan placed his hands on the table top, his fingers circling the bottom of his water glass as he seemed to ponder what Green had said.

“From what I understand about you Killian O’Laughlin, you’ve got a lifetime of ‘illegal affairs,’ trailing behind you. I did not come here today ignorant of that fact. I know all about your sordid, questionable past. All about your club’s past, as well. However, they’re not dating my daughter. You are.”

Green crossed his arms across his chest as he looked her father in the eye and asked, “What’s your point?”

Bryan suddenly smiled, surprising Emily down to her core, before he sat back in his chair as well.

“My point is, all I really want to know, is if you’ll take care of my daughter and her baby.”

  “Ours.”

  Bryan blinked, confused.

  “Excuse me?”

Green shifted his chair, crossing his legs at the ankles.

“If Emily chooses to become my old lady, to share her life with me, we won’t be dating. We’ll be partners. And it won’t be just her baby anymore. It will be our responsibility, and one I take very seriously.”

Emily felt tears sting the backs of her eyes at his words and discreetly wiped them away as she waited for her father to respond.

She could tell he was impressed, pleased even, at Green’s promise. She was. She was even thinking of asking him to pinky promise about it later…

Her father waved a hand in the air and instantly a waiter appeared at their table.

“I would like a bottle of your most expensive bottle of Jameson delivered to the table, please. I would like to welcome this man to my family.”

Emily wanted to shout with joy at his words and to obviously made Green happy because he was grinning from ear to ear.

“Who told you I like Jameson?”

Bryan smiled as the waiter returned to their table and filled both his and Killian’s glasses.

  “Leave the bottle, thank you.”

“Would you like to place your orders now?”

  Emily nodded immediately.

  “Please bring me the lasagna.”

The server nodded and glanced at Bryan, but he waved him off.

  “Nothing for me, thank you.”

  Green said the same.

“Way to make a lady feel fat,” Emily grumbled.

“You look beautiful, and you know it,” Green said before he swallowed the whiskey in his glass.

Her father nodded in her direction, “What he said.”

  “Have your heard from mama?”

Bryan tensed at the mention of Emily’s mother, which didn’t surprise her in the least.

“Last I heard she was in the Bahamas with her new beau.”

Emily winced and patted her father’s hand, because she knew what it felt like to have her heart broken.

  “You’ll find someone new, daddy.”

He shook his head and smiled at her, his hand overturning to capture hers.

“We’re here to celebrate you. Your baby, and apparently, your new man.”

Emily shyly glanced at Green to see what he thought about that label being applied to him, but he only winked at her like didn’t have a care in the world.

“Have you heard from Carter, by the way?”

Bryan was in the middle of pouring another glass of whiskey when he nodded.

“Sure have. Apparently, he’s traveling through Egypt right now, seeing the sights. He’s grieving, but he’s healing. I’m sure Scarlett understands,” Her father said.

  Emily nodded.

“Yeah. Scarlett calls him from time to time, but she’s been so busy lately that I haven’t gotten the chance to ask about him.”

Bryan’s expression darkened for a moment and Emily frowned.

  “What’s wrong?”

Green covered her hand on his thigh under the table with one of his own.

“Carter isn’t the only one I spoke to recently. I also ran into Trent at the golf course.”

Emily froze at the mention of Trent.

By the expression on her father’s face, he knew enough about Ash to be upset that he hadn’t heard the story from her.

“Were you ever going to tell me that you had some lowlife sent to prison?”

“No. It wasn’t that big of a deal.”

“Felony domestic violence isn’t that big of a deal? Emily, that’s pretty damn serious to me. I’m your father.”

“I didn’t tell anyone, not even Scar.”

Even though she hurried to defend herself, she saw her father’s point and conceded.

“You’re right. I should have told you. I’m really sorry that I didn’t. I just- with everything going on with mom, I didn’t want to bother you.”

Bryan sighed and gripped her hand, bringing it to his lips.

“You can always come to me. I may not carry a gun like your fellow here, but I would have handled the situation. I hope you know that I’ll always do my best to take care of you.”

  Emily nodded adamantly.

“Of course, I know that, I just wanted to handle it on my own.”

Green cleared his throat and looked her father dead in the eye when he said, “The problem has been handled. I can assure ya of that.”

Bryan looked like he wanted to ask question, and Emily wasn’t so sure they needed to be that honest with her father, but instead, Bryan remained silent.

  Her father nodded.

Once her father seemed satisfied, she pulled away so she could drink more of her water and accept her plate of food from the waiter. When she had just the right amount of cheese on top of her pasta, she dug in, moaning at the robust flavors exploding on her tongue. It tasted so good, and she was so hungry, and her father and her man were getting along.

  My partner…

She was so tempted to ask him right then and there to be her partner, but it was the time or the place.

“Emily, when do you think you’ll be done with your work? I want to make sure I book the right place at the right time for your gallery show.”

“Maybe Scarlett can help you with the location?”

Her father smiled and nodded his dark head, his fingers wrapped around his glass still.

“I’m sure she would love that. I’ll call her in the morning.”

“I’m trying to be finished within the next few weeks here.”

Green smiled at her tenderly as he swiped some hair out of her face.

“I’m sure you’ll do well, baby. Your work is amazing.”

Emily smiled up at him, sauce plastered across her chin.

Green chuckled and wiped at her chin, patting her gently.

“So, what are your plans for housing now that you’ve moved out of your apartment?”

Emily shrugged as she wiped her mouth off and dropped her napkin into her lap.

“I’m not really sure, yet. It’s nice being around so many other people. I feel less lonely.”

  Bryan frowned at her.

  “Emily, you’re never alone.”

“No, but after Rider died, I closed down. I didn’t know what to do. I just…got stagnant. It’s the people I am around now that have kept me together and I’m not quite ready to lose that.”

Her father seemed to understand, and it made Emily feel that much more solidified in her thinking. Sure, she’d been entirely irrational and hard and calloused before she found out she was pregnant, before she watched Rider die right beside her.

  Who the fuck wouldn’t be?

Green had simultaneously ripped her entire world apart while staking a claim on her with a certainty that never wavered. She didn’t need him- she never had. Emily could take care of herself, she’d always h
ad that skill. But, she wanted him, Killian, and that made a world of difference.

Her father’s loving gaze lingered on her for a moment before he looked up at Green.

“Before this conversation and this evening comes to a close, I would like to make one thing abundantly clear, Mr. O’Laughlin.”

Green nodded, and Emily was pretty sure she knew where her father was going.

  Right up overbearing-protective-father-avenue.

“Emily is the most important thing I’ve ever created. I’m sure you realize by now that her wellbeing is what I care about, I’ve made that point clear. I would, however, like to make sure you understand that even though I may not handle my matters with a bullet or a blade, I can make sure that you disappear if you ever hurt her again. You’ll get one pass from me, Killian. I pray we don’t have to have an entirely different conversation in the future, for I fear I may not be so kind.”

Emily couldn’t help the smile that stretched across her face as she leaned over to kiss her father on the cheek.

Green tightened his hold on her hand under the table as he looked at her. He didn’t even take his eyes off her as he answered Bryan, his expression as serious as a heart attack.

“If I ever hurt her again, I’ll let her shoot me herself. She’s almost done it before, I know she could do it again. I would give my life for hers or for her baby’s in an instant, and I wouldn’t even hesitate. I love her in the best way that I know how, Mr. Monroe. It may not be perfect or easy, but I can promise you it’s worth it.”

Emily’s lower lip trembled as Green leaned forward to kiss her, his lips gentle and loving.

This was it- this was what she’d needed. The small push, the revelation, the sign from the universe that she could give him everything and trust him.

With her life, with her baby’s life, with anything.

“I love you, too,” She whispered.

Green’s whole face lit up like the fourth of July.

He looked at her father, “Did you hear that? I’ve been waiting months to hear those words come from her pretty little mouth. And, ya know what? It was so fuckin’ worth it.”

Green ran a thumb along her cheek and nuzzled his nose against hers for a moment before he let go.

“I’d say this meeting is adjourned, wouldn’t you? I know Emily is tired and I would really love to take her home.”
