I positioned my body between her spread legs and reached under her plump ass, angling her pussy for me to feast and feast I did. I licked, sucked, and teased her clit relentlessly until she was grinding her pussy on my face. The sweet sounds of her losing her shit only made me tease her more.
I missed tasting her this way, missed hearing her scream my name as I fucked her with my tongue. I missed her gripping my hair, trying to suffocate me with her pussy all the while telling me her pussy was all mine over and over again. I could feel her body tensing, her impending orgasm building, but I still didn’t want her to come just yet. I wanted to play, to get my feel of her, to quench my thirst before she exploded.
I flicked my tongue against her sensitive bud then circled round and round. I taunted her body, pushing her just to the brink of exploding then pulling back.
“Fuck, Paul, what are you doing to me? I’m so close… I’m almost there just please…” she begged and pleaded me as her movements became faster and more erratic. Just when I thought she was going to come, I backed away and played with her clit using my fingers.
“Argh… motherfucker!”
I chuckled and watched the murderous look my woman gave me. She was so got damn hot when she was sexually frustrated.
“You want to come, baby?” I asked her, teasing her more.
She growled at me and tried to wrap her legs around my head, but I managed to pull away.
“Uh-uh-uh,” I chastised, “tell me how badly you want to come.”
Lauren threaded her fingers in my hair that I had let grow while I was convalescing. She gripped me tight and sat up slightly so she could see me better.
“If you don’t make me come, I swear I’m going to castrate you.”
I grinned at her.
“Wow, baby that’s…” I shook my head. “That’s not making this better.” I pinched her clit, and she practically vaulted off the couch.
“Paul! For fuck sakes, please make me come, I’ll do anything, please.”
My eyebrows rose at that confession.
“Anything?” I asked her, slowly caressing her clit with the pad of my thumb, adding just the right amount of pressure to keep her panting for me.
“Yes, damn you.”
I captured her swollen clit into my mouth and sucked hard, flicking my tongue as she continued to circle her hips.
“Yes, baby… right there… right… it’s coming… I’m coming. Fuck why can’t I get…”
“Come on, baby,” I coached then added two fingers to her weeping sex. “Fuck my fingers baby…Yeah just like that. Get there,” I encouraged and clamped my lips against her sex doing everything I could to get her there.
She moaned, cursed, and held my head exactly where she needed me to be. I curled my fingers to rub up against her hidden bundle of nerves, and she went off. I worked her into a sweaty frenzy and from the way her body tensed and how her pussy clamped down on my fingers I knew she was truly about to explode.
I waited ‘til the very last second and just when she was about to ignite I moved my face and watched my woman come apart, literally screaming as she came, squirting her desires all over the comforter.
Fuckkkkk, that right there was HOT!!!!
“What just happened?” she asked me panting hard as if she had just run a marathon, desperately trying to catch her breath.
I didn’t answer her. I stood, pushed down my shorts to my ankles and crawled in between her spread legs.
“Did I just, eek…” I ignored her shocked eyes and wet spot and yanked her body closer to me, lined my throbbing dick with her entrance, and pushed in.
“Fuuuccckkkk.” I moaned in a pleasure I hadn’t felt in a very long time.
I went still, letting Lauren get reacquainted with me as well as giving me a second to get used to her tightness.
“Damn, baby, you feel so fucking good.”
She squirmed underneath me, and I stilled her hips.
“Paul, please,” she cooed softly.
“Wait, baby, just let me… shit…”
I closed my eyes and awkwardly buried my face in her neck, making sure I didn’t squash her belly. I took a few deep breaths before I started to move. I pulled almost all the way out of her sweet channel before slamming back into her.
We both moaned in pleasure, her nails digging deep in my ass.
“Fuck me, baby, fuck me,” I heard her whisper, and I lifted my face to look at her.
She circled her hips and bit her bottom lip. I grinned at her. My baby looked haggard, and I hadn’t even begun to fuck her. Her hair was clinging to her forehead, her skin slick with sweat. So, I did what any grown ass man would do. I fucked my woman.

It went without saying, Paul passed all the tests that the department threw at him. He told me how the physical tests were nothing. I didn’t doubt it— as I said before he was stronger and tougher than ever. What we both were worried about was the mental test. The department wanted to make sure he didn’t freeze under pressure and from what they could surmise, without actually putting him in the line of fire, so to speak, he passed with flying colors. Once he found out that he was cleared, he also received the date he would start back. I had about a week with him, and I tried to take advantage of every waking second that I had with him before he went back to work.
Paul had to have known what I was trying to do, but he didn’t complain. I dragged him crib shopping and stroller shopping. We went to two doctor appointments, and we even got another picture of our baby. The technician asked us if we wanted to know the sex of the baby and we both said no. We wanted it to be a surprise, but I wasn’t sure if I could hold on until I deliver. Paul, on the other hand, would probably make sure we stuck to our decision; he’s just good like that.
Things with the pregnancy had been going very well. I was in the midst of my second trimester, getting close to the start of my third. My blood pressure was fine, stress levels were good, and my appetite was back with a vengeance. In fact, I think the amount I’d been eating this last month made up for what I threw up in the early months.
I stopped at the grocery store and bought some steaks and chicken breasts for us to eat the Saturday before Paul went back to work. We planned on having Tyler, Tonya, Samson and Melissa over for dinner, but after I bought everything and was heading home, they bailed on us. Melissa wasn’t feeling very well, so they gave us a rain check. Tonya called to tell me they couldn’t make it either. Tyler’s mom had to be rushed to the hospital. She had fallen and hit her head. Her husband wanted to get her checked out to make sure she was good. I sent well wishes to Tyler’s mom who I met a few times and told Tonya we'd get together another time. So much for a celebration, I guess.
When I pulled into the driveway of our home, I noticed a few extra cars parked in front of our house. I peeled my tired body out of my car rubbing my back as I moved. I had been on my feet for most of the day today, and I was feeling the effects of work. I heard the front door open, and Paul stepped out. He met me at my opened trunk and smacked my hands away when I reached for the bags.
I shook my head and stepped back, giving him room. “Paul, you know I’m only pregnant. These few bags aren’t going to kill me.”
Paul glared at me. “Woman, you’re lucky I’m not fussing at you for going to the store without me. I’ll punish you later tonight, though, for disobeying me.”
I smirked at him and shook my head.
“Actually,” Paul started once he had the bags in both his hands, “I was coming out here to greet you and to warn you we have company.”
I rolled my eyes. “Yeah, I noticed the extra cars parked in front of the house. Who came to visit?”
Paul didn’t answer my question. Instead, he gave me a wink and a sly smile before he headed for the front door. I shook my head and followed him into the house to find a shock of my life.
I stood in the doorway stunned at the sets of eyes staring back at me. Apparently, Paul’s family ha
d enough of his silence and decided to pop in for a visit. Paul’s parents were sitting on the couch along with two beautiful little ones, Paul’s niece and nephew Aiden and Bethany, who belonged to Corinne and her husband. I instinctively rubbed my belly as all of the eyes followed entranced it seemed. I wasn’t huge by no means, but you could definitely tell that I was pregnant.
I didn’t stand there like an idiot too long. While they gawked at me as if I was a spectacle, I smiled brightly and greeted everyone heartedly. I even gave out hugs to everyone, even his father got one.
Mary was the first to congratulate us on the new addition to our family. She had no problem filling me up and talking to my belly. The rest of the family followed with congratulations, giving out hugs. Corinne and Paul’s mom regaled me with stories of pregnancy pains as they too groped me.
Paul’s father looked at me for a long uncomfortable time as we stood in the living room. I wasn’t sure what was behind those calculating blue eyes of his. Hopefully he had decided to re-evaluate his roasting of my black ass now that I was with child or maybe he’d add the child to the roasting. God, I hoped it was the formal.
“I hope you guys are staying for dinner. We have plenty of food,” I called out as I moved to the kitchen, my eyes on my man’s, looking for his approval. He grinned at me, which was good enough.
“Oh no, we don’t want to impose,” Mrs. Logan offered smiling at me.
I gave her a genuine smile back. If she were trying, so would I. “Mrs. Logan, there is no way you could impose. Please, we really would love it if you all stayed. We have plenty of food. And I would love to hear more stories about Paul when he was a baby.”
His mother smiled at me. “Well thank you, my dear.”
“No problem at all.”
You’d be surprised to know we all had a great time together. Paul’s sisters and mom hung out with me while I boiled fresh corn on the cob, and made garden and potato salads.
At some point in the night, Paul’s father pulled me to the side and apologized for everything. I had been coming out of the bathroom in the basement when I noticed him by the bar making himself another drink. I headed to the mini fridge Paul placed next to the bar and was grabbing a bottled water when he spoke.
“I don’t have an excuse for my behavior.” I looked at him, surprised at his outburst. I was even more surprised when he continued. “I could say that I was afraid to lose my son or that it drove me crazy to believe that he finally had someone in his life more important than us, but that wouldn’t be right.”
My eyebrows rose when he mentioned about Paul having someone in his life more important than his family. Paul had been married before. I was sure he put Sabrina first. Nevertheless, Paul’s father had me wondering about Paul and Sabrina. I wanted to ask Mr. Logan to elaborate, but I didn’t. I’d have to ask Paul though. He had to have had Sabrina in his will, right?
“Anyway, I had no right going against my son. I had no right to keep you from him. It was cruel. I have already apologized to my son, and now I want to apologize to you as well.”
I looked in this man’s eyes, and there was only sincerity there. If there was anything else there, I would’ve called him on his bullshit. I wouldn’t have made it easy for him at all. I was a bigger person though, thanks to the influence of Paul. However, I stayed silent, letting Mr. Logan sweat just a little while longer. Yeah, I haven’t changed completely.
Finally, I decided to put the man out of his misery, especially when he started to fluster and stutter.
“I really appreciate you for apologizing. Thank you, Mr. Logan.” I touched his forearm and smiled at him.
The old man breathed out a sigh of relief and returned my smile.
“No, thank you, Lauren. And I want you to know that I don’t condone hitting women.” His eyes narrowed angrily. It made me step back a bit in surprise. “That man should have never touched you, and best believe I have reprimanded him accordingly.”
That was the best I was going to get from him. I nodded appreciatively. “That sounds good to me. Thank you.” I hugged the unexpected man and kissed his cheek.
“Is everything okay in here?” Paul’s voice interrupted our moment, and we stepped back from each other. I caught a blush on Paul’s father’s cheeks before he sauntered away from me.
“I’m just making things right, son,” Mr. Logan said to Paul and clasped his shoulder before making his way outside.
Paul watched his father disappear before he turned back to me, an eyebrow raised. “Would you mind filling me in on what that was about?”
I grinned at him and walked into his outstretched arms. I wrapped my arms around his neck and planted a wet kiss to his lips.
“That was just your father apologizing for everything that went on when you were in a coma.”
“Is that right?”
“Yup.”
“Well, I guess the man has learned his lesson. He rarely apologizes for shit, but to do it twice in one day, damn.”

As the night winded down, we were all downstairs lounging in the basement talking. The fact that I was with child had sparked up baby stories from Paul’s sister Corinne and their mom. Everyone was coupled up except Paul and me. The family stretched out on the sectional while Paul sat in one of the porch lounge chairs from outside. I sat way on the other side of the room at the bar, making sure there was plenty of distance between Paul and me.
Don’t ask me why I wasn’t curled up in his arms. I felt weird, I guess. We’ve never been overtly touchy-feely in front of his parents, and even though we were in our house, I couldn’t bring myself to paw him in front of them.
Paul did try to get me to sit next to him, but I made sure to keep my distance by keeping busy. I knew the second he’d touch me that he would whisper crazy things to me and try to get me to go upstairs to feel on me.
Any other time I would have done it no problem, this pregnancy had me acting like a horny teenage boy, but I felt weird doing it in front of his family. I could see Paul getting frustrated with me. I figured I was due for a spanking anyway, what’s one more.
“So, Paul. Are you going back to work anytime soon?”
Paul smiled over at his brother. “Yeah, actually. I’ll be back to work in two days.”
“Two days?! Paul, are you serious?” Mary added.
“No, you can’t go back there,” Paul’s mother avowed. “You’ll be killed!”
Paul shook his head. “Mom, don’t be ridiculous. I’m not going to be killed.”
“Yeah, well, you didn’t think you’d be in a coma either and look what happened. Paul, you really need to think about a career change,” Mrs. Logan said.
“I don’t need a career change. I’m a firefighter. I was born to do the job. It’s my destiny, and I intend to fulfill that destiny. Look, if it makes you feel any better, I’ve passed all my physicals and tests. I’m cleared to go back to work, and I’m going.”
Paul’s sister Corinne looked at me. “And you’re okay with this?”
“You can’t be. She can’t be.” Paul’s mom cut in, not allowing me to respond. “She remembers how it was sitting at his bedside for hours.”
I started to respond again but thought better of it and kept my mouth closed. This was between Paul and his family, however, Paul felt I needed to be included, the jerk. I was just getting on their good side, and he was about to ruin it.
Paul looked over at me and grinned. “Actually, Lauren supports me on this.”
When he said that, all eyes went to me.
“You can’t be serious?” his mother said.
“Don’t you love him?” Mary questioned. “How can you let him go back to work?”
Paul’s mom threw up her hands. “Maybe she doesn’t love him the way we do. Maybe Paul made a mistake when he picked her over Sabrina.”
I sat up straight on the bar stool, my eyes narrowing on his mother. I could feel the rage flowing through my veins, and instead of taking the high road, I w
ent on the attack.
“First of all, don’t ever question my love for your son. I love him with every fiber of my being. If you can’t see that, there’s something wrong with your eyes. Second, because I love him so much, I know what kind of man he is. He’s a dedicated firefighter who puts his life on the line for strangers every day. It’s who he is. However, I know he’s not the same man he was before the accident. Can’t you see it in his eyes?” I looked at Paul who kept his eyes locked on mine. “He’s stronger in the mind and body. He’s smarter and braver, more dedicated than he ever was.” I looked at his family, meeting their stares one by one. “I trust him. He won’t make a mistake that could cost his life or anyone else’s. I believe in him, I always have and not blindly.”
I took a deep breath, getting control of the chaotic emotions swimming inside me. There was no way I wanted to share my experiences with these people, but I needed them to see, to know just how Paul saved me in more ways than one.
“Some months back, before we got back together, I had been attacked by someone I was dating,” I began, keeping my eyes on everyone but Paul. “I had decided to end things with him. I was in love with your son, even though we weren’t together, and it didn’t feel right pretending. It also brought things home for me when I learned the guy that I was dating was married.
“I thought it would be a simple break up, you know, just tell the man it was over. However, much to my dismay it didn’t happen that way. Instead, he tried to take my life.” I lifted my chin slightly and pointed to the scar on my neck. The shocked looks on the women’s faces in the room, and angry glares from the men, pushed me to continue my story.
I took another deep breath and told them the rest. “Things happened so fast— at first he was pacing back and forth trying to convince me that we belonged together the next he flipped. I had mentioned that he lied to me and I had found out that he was married, with a kid no less. After that, our conversations went downhill from there. One minute I was standing in his face calling him a cheater, the next he had me pushed up against the wall, my hair tight in his fist. Things are a blur after that. I don’t remember when he pulled the knife. I just remember lying on my living room floor bleeding from a neck wound. I knew that uh I…”
