  After we’ve signed what seems like an endless round of paperwork, we get to shake hands with the people we’ll be working with for the next ten years, minimum. The guys and I wait until we’re safely outside the skyscraper and down the road a ways before breaking into incoherent shrieks and laughter. Hugs go all around, and then when Logan and I meet each other in the middle he pulls me into a deep kiss. Dalton and Max chatter on one side of us and Dad and Cass huddle on the other.

  “You did it, sweets.” Logan captures my lips in another kiss. When he pulls back, his eyes are bright with gratitude. “I can never thank you enough. You make all my dreams come true.”

  “Don’t thank me just yet,” I say with a giggle. “We have a lot of work to do.”

  To my late Grandmother, who taught me so much that has stuck with me all these years. You’ll never see the huge crater of an impact you left on my life. Losing you was harder than I thought it would be, even though I had years to prepare for it. Give Granddaddy a hug for me. I’m glad you’re finally reunited after ten long years. Someday I’ll write an epic novel that will make you both proud. Until then, this crazy mess I call a book series will have to do.

  To my loyal followers, your support is what keeps my fingers going at two in the morning when my body and brain want to quit. Knowing you’re out there waiting for the next novel (sometimes impatiently…but believe me, I love it) gives me a reason to continue pouring my heart and soul into these works. We both deal with immense amounts of stress, but I know I’m safe talking to you about all of it. We’ve stuck together through it all, and now we’re about to embark on an even bigger journey. I can’t wait to see where this road takes us!

  Haley Allison is a native of South Carolina. She discovered a love of writing at age fourteen and hasn't been able to turn off the motor fingers since then. Today, she lives in a quiet country home with her husband, son, and Boston terrier. She is currently studying at Southern New Hampshire University and hopes to graduate with a B.A. degree sometime in the next couple of years.
