  It had all gone horribly wrong and he’d killed some folks.

  Billy threw the lamp onto the kitchen floor as he too climbed out through the window, looking back briefly in time to see yellow-tongued flames licking at the dried old wooden flooring that was inviting them to dance further around the room.

  Billy toyed with the notion of going around to the front of the house to throw the body of the white boy into the house through the front window, but realised that this might risk them being seen and abandoned the idea.

  The three men, fled into the night, their bags half full of items that ultimately proved to be of very little value, and certainly not worth the pain and misery that justice would demand of them at a future date...
