He gulped, tightening his hands around her, hugging her close. “Damn princess! Please don’t remind me of my stupid moments! They still shame me. Right now, I am too happy for words. Give me a minute.” He blinked hard, his heart bursting. Another baby? Oh God...he never imagined such happiness until meeting Savannah.

God bless second chances and the love of his princess.

She smoothed her hands over his face, “There isn’t any happiness more wonderful for me than you, Hexon. I love being your wife--the mother of your children. I love you. Remember that. Shall we go share our news with our family and friends?”

He stood suddenly with her still in his arms and she squealed with a smile, “I am the luckiest son-of-a-bitch in the world,” he said but his expression smoldered as he drew close to her lips, “But later, we’ll celebrate, Hex-style--and believe me worshiping will be involved, baby.”

She lifted her lips against his, “Mmmm, I can't wait. By the way, I got a new table from the hotel in honor of such a moment,” she whispered with a teasing light in her dark eyes.

He chuckled, his love and admiration shining through his eyes, “I see you planned ahead.”

Savannah gave him an innocent look with a bit of duck face, “Don’t I always?”

Hex dipped closer to her mouth, "Absolutely."

  Character Interview

Savannah Deason and Hexon James our beloved characters from Hex upon Me agreed to share a post interview as a way of conclusion. Not only did they shed some insight on their thoughts and feelings, but a testament towards their inner growth and expression as individuals.

Beth: Hex and Savannah, thank you for stopping by to share a few words with our readers.

*Both say hi with a smile*

Beth: Savannah, how would you describe your journey in Hex upon Me?

Savannah: Besides wanting to skewer my eyeballs with a hot needle and rip my fingernails off with dirty pliers? Perfect.

Hex: Easy, princess, sarcasm doesn't work on our Diva Mastermind (DM). Everything worked out in the end, she saw to that.

Savannah: You're right, of course, Hexon. Sorry, Beth, I'm just cranky, not to mention hormonal. After all, you've thrown me into another surprise pregnancy, but I'm not complaining--I've never been happier. I love me some biker god, Jamie and the little one on the way. The blessings outweigh the pain and tears a million to negative zero.

Beth: I thought so, really I did. But, I have to say, it was touch and go there for a time. About half way through my brain snagged and I couldn't finish your story for a while. I think I saw Hex pounding his head against mine several times. Talk about a mental ride.

Hex: *smirks* Yeah, DM, you gave me a coronary a few times. I didn't know whether to be angry or down right pissed. Kudos, you pulled it off in the end.

Beth: Well, Hex, since you brought it up, please describe your thoughts on the journey.

Hex: Jolting and nerve racking. Plus, I wasn't happy about all the story delays as you so kindly mentioned. And Mexico? It cost me $500,000 for Jagger's hide and I didn't even get to drop kick him into the gulf! Too bad--that would have alleviated some tension. And, not to mention the six months separation from my princess? It's a wonder I have any sanity left.

Beth: Threats before I've published? Hmmm, not wise, Mr. Montgomery. I still hold the power of Find and Replace--not to mention the almighty Delete button. It's amazing what technology can do for me nowadays. Riveting stuff to say the least.

  Savannah: *snorts* You tell him!

Hex: *throws his wife an incredulous glare* Hey, whose side are you on, baby?

Savannah: Sorry, I got caught up in the moment and enjoyed the banter. Not many people with can threaten you with a smile, biker god...well and get away with it.

Beth: Anyway, let's move along, shall we? Now that the end has arrived, how would you like to spend some free time? Savannah, your thoughts?

Savannah: Well...I'm enjoying being a mother and wife--it's more than I ever dreamed possible. I've reduced my position at Merrick Industries to consulting rather than VP to fulfill my new role in life. I especially love weekends, when Hex is home from the office or a work site and we are able to pack Jamie up in the SUV and take a drive or go for a picnic. I've always been such a city girl, but being with my two favorite men has opened up new wonders--in or out of the city. Sorry, I feel a bit scattered brain, must be the pregnancy. To answer your question, I want to live each moment the best way I know how--free time or not. I want to wake up beside my husband, fill Jamie's life with love and really enjoy each day to the fullest. *shrugs* Maybe that's sappy, but I've learned to appreciate things more than my previous lifestyle.

Hex: Oh Savannah...god baby, you're wonderful. And I'm a lucky man.

Savannah: *she winks* That you are.

Beth: Hex, what about you? What's your ideal free day?

Hex: Any moment with Savannah and Jamie. After my hell ride, I've learned a thing or two. Life is so much more meaningful with the love of a good woman at my side--with a little ninja thrown in for good measure. But, ideally, waking up beside my princess and sharing the day to day is...liberating. I can't place a limit to free time because every second with her is my freedom.

Savannah: I think I hear the heavens opening up for the hallelujah chorus

Hex: *kisses Savannah's hand* I'm never opposed, baby.

Beth: Savannah, looking back over Hex upon Me, what was your favorite scene?

Savannah: Hmmm, well, many, but I think strip poker had to be one of my favorites.

Hex: *snorts* Good one, princess. Got me all hot-and-bothered! And, I'm ready for a rematch anytime.

Savannah: Really? Was that because you cheated or because I flashed a bit of flesh?

  Hex: *grins* Both!

Savannah: What? So, you really did cheat? Hexon James Montgomery! Have you no shame?

Hex: No, not where you're concerned. I'm just sorry Annabelle interrupted us. Burning up the bed sheets with you is...some kind of awesome. *winks*

Beth: *smothers a laugh* What about you, Hex? Your favorite scene?

Hex: Any that had me lip-locked with Savannah!

Savannah: *rolls her eyes* One-tracked mind much!

Hex: *laughs* Can't argue with the truth, princess. I love you too much to lie.

Beth: Well, I've enjoyed the post-interview with you two and--

Hex: Wait, wait, hold up, DM. I think it's only fair that we ask you a few questions. *looks at Savannah and both nod*

Beth: Okay...I think. What's on your mind?

Hex: Well, I've heard rumors of a second book, is that true?

Beth: Where did you hear that?

  Hex: *shrugs* The rumor mill.

Beth: Anything is possible, I suppose. But, I'd walk a wide circle around the 'War Room' of my writer's brain--shouting and eleventh hour variances move at a rapid pace there. Things come and go so often, 'On the Table' isn't a reliable source, especially the rumor mill variety. Best sticking with concrete announcements, but I will say this...it is possible that you and Savannah could be called forth again--in a happy supportive way, of course. I just can't confirm it at this time.

Savannah: Must be something good if you can't comment.

  Beth: I plead the fifth.

Hex: Yeah, we've heard it before, Diva Mastermind. I just hope it isn't about Katie. I don't think I'm ready for my sister to find love just yet. Though, I'm never opposed to pounding fresh meat. I think I'm itching for a taste of fist to fist action, what do you say?

Savannah: *shoots her husband a glare* Oh? And why not Katie? She's a young, beautiful woman, Hexon. I think the right man would make her happy. Go for it, DM.

Hex: Whoa, princess. The operative word being 'young'! She's not ready for all that. I know, write one about Dominic! Keep him busy and out of my hair. Yeah, I like the sound of that!

Beth: Wait, hold up guys. Keep a lid on the sparing fest. Speculation will get you nowhere. I haven't made any concrete
plans, nor will I cough up anything. I'm still in the throes of your book wrap-up to contemplate another book just yet.

Hex: Yeah? Well, that didn't stop us from bugging your mind while you were writing another story!

Beth: Um...point made as usual, Hex. But, I think we've all said enough for now. Let's leave on a positive note, shall we?

  Savannah: I'm game. I have a doctor's appointment, anyway.

Hex: *turns to look at his wife* Since when?

Savannah: *rolls her eyes* Since my last appointment. Biker god, it is customary to make another when checking out of the doctor's office. I have an appointment card and everything. *digs through her purse* See?

Hex: *takes the card* When were you going to tell me?

Savannah: *shrugs* I like handling this kind of thing myself. You're a bit moody with doctor appointments.

  Hex: I've gotten over that!

Savannah: Really? You're eyes just glazed over when I mentioned it.

Hex: They did not. *he shifts in his seat, clearly lying*

Beth: Guys, we really need to go. My 'War Room' is calling.

Savannah: *winks* Don't mind us--this might take a while. Thanks for speaking with us, DM. We enjoyed sharing our story.

Hex: Yes, thank you. We appreciate your time, care and attention--in more ways than one.

Beth: Thank you both for stopping by. Until next time....

*The sound of Savannah and Hex hashing out the doctor's appointment echoes down the hall*
