Shawty Fell In Love With A Hustla 3
Page 19
The smell of the dumpling soup penetrated my nose causing me to smile. I walked in the kitchen and saw that Zana had made good on her promise. Grabbing a bowl from the pantry, I filled it to the rim with soup and drowned it in hot sauce. I grabbed a few slices of bread and went to the table to throw down.
“Whooooo! That shit was bussin,” I said to myself after my second bowl of soup.
I was starting to feel sluggish, so I decided to go my room and take a nap before going to the movie with Shantika and Journi. Lately they have been inviting me on a lot of their dates and although I felt like I was imposing. It felt good to get out of the house and enjoy great company. The closer I got to my room the more I could smell Smoke’s cologne. That’s been happening to me a lot, I would dream, feel, and hear him in my sleep.
Pushing the door open I was so tired that I just stripped out of my clothes and got in bed oblivious to what was going on in my room. As I always did, I got in my side of the bed and went to cuddle Smoke’s pillow until I realize the pillow had a head laying on it.
“Smoke, baby move over,” I said pushing him over, the fact that he was actually in my bed still wasn’t registering.
“Baby, how was school?” He asked causing me to jump up.
I pulled the covers all the way back and there was Smoke laying in my bed. I was as shock for words when he turned around on his back and smiled up at me. Except for the fact that his jaw looked swollen, he still looked the same.
“Why must God play this cruel trick on me I know I’m dreaming,” I cried.
“Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream, this here baby is real,” he said grabbing me in his arms.
“This can’t be. You’re dead!” I yelled.
“It’s me baby look,” he said running my hand through his faint yet vivid bullet wounds.
“But how?”
I listened to Smoke as he explained to me everything that happened. He went on to say that Stacks didn’t want him to return because he felt like it wasn’t safe. He then told me how he couldn’t sit around and miss the birth of our baby so being out here in the streets was a risk he was willing to take for us.
At a loss for words, I just stood there with a shock expression written all over my face. This shit still wasn’t clicking in my head as I took him in as if he was one of my prenatal vitamins. This shit had to be a sick joke.
“Baby, say something.”
“Who knew?” I asked.
“My mother and Journi just recently found out.”
“That explains why she wasn’t hurt at all. Why she would always say ‘he’ll be back and to never forget him’. You were alive all this time while I had to hurt and cry myself to sleep. When I felt like giving up on life because your death was too hard for me to bare, you were still alive,” I cried smacking him across the face.
“Baby, I’m sorry. If it was up to me I would have been on the first flight home, but Stacks wanted to keep me safe.”
“I understand. I just wish I knew,” I pouted.
“I’m sorry baby,” he said kissing my lips.
We were engaged in a full blown make out session when I pushed him off.
“What’s wrong bae?” He asked
“I killed them,” I whispered.
“Killed who?”
“Tangi and Geek.”
“How the fuck did you manage to do that carrying my fucking child?!” He snapped.
He was angry as he listened to me tell him the story. His eyes turned charcoal black as he stared at me like he wanted to smack fire from me. When I was done telling him what happened he grabbed the cordless phone and walked out of the room.
Fifteen minutes later he walked in the room a little more calm than he was when he stormed out. I could smell the scent of weed follow him to the bed, which was probably the reason he was so mellow. He climbed back in bed and grabbed me pulling me close to his chest.
“I am proud of what you did. I was just mad you was out here trying to be Tomb Raider while carrying my son,” he fussed.
“Smoke, before we carrying on I have something I want to tell you.”
“I’m listening.”
“This baby may or may not be yours. The only reason I’m telling you this is because I don’t want to feel like I’m leading you on to believe that this baby is yours if it isn’t,” I said holding my breath.
“No matter what that baby is going to be mine, dead that shit,” he snapped.
“Okay, daddy.” I smiled.
“Ohhh, call me that shit again.” He smirked.
“Daddy.”
“Fuck. Girl, come sit on this dick.”
Pulling of my panties, I rose up and mounted him. Licking his full lips, I shoved my tongue down his mouth savoring the taste of the weed he just smoked. His large hands covered my ass as he palmed and smacked it. Lifting my ass up, he penetrated me with his dick causing me to scream out in pain.
“Take this dick,” he whispered in my ear as he thrust in and out of me.
“Ride this shit ma.” He smacked me on the ass.
Once I was able to adjust to his size again, I started getting in the groove of things. I planted my feet on the mattress and started twerking it for daddy. The only sounds that could be heard through the room was the sounds of our flesh reunited and becoming one again. It felt good to have my man back, and to be back in the arms of the man who truly loved me was the best feeling in the world.
“Shawty fell in love with a hustler
Man I took her from a buster
Niggas keep talkin’ like they know something
I slide on your bitch like she on something
Don’t panic, don’t panic
We just getting started nigga don’t panic
Real niggas getting cake
Watch the fake niggas hate
Don’t panic, don’t panic
We just getting started nigga don’t panic
Don’t panic, don’t panic
We just getting started nigga don’t panic”
French Montana, Don’t Panic, boomed through the iHome just as I was cumming. He was right when he said Shawty Fell In Love With A Hustla because I surly did. I was so deep in love with my hustla, that I was feeling like Monica did when she wrote that song Love All Over Me.
Chapter 30
Karrueche POV
Epilogue
(Four Years Later)
“Karrueche Davis,” the Dean called out my name.
It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears but I was finally graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in law. Although I had another three years of law school ahead of me, I was still proud of my accomplishment. If I continued on the path that I started I was destined to become a lawyer at the age of twenty-five.
“That’s my girl y’all.” I heard Shantika yell out.
I looked over to hear and waved. If there was one thing I appreciated Geek for that would be for our son and bringing me around Shantika. Over the years, our friendship was one that was built on a strong foundation. We both came from men that did us dirty and ended up with boss niggas that treated us like royalty.
Shantika and Journi were doing so much better in their relationship. They have been married for two years, shared a beautiful daughter together and had another baby on the way. At first, them getting things on tracks were rocky as hell, but with a little bit more understanding and communication, they were able to get it together.
I looked over at my kids and Smoke and fell in love with him all over again. Tomorrow I was going to be walking down the aisle and officially becoming his wife. We were two kids in so I was more than ready to tie the knot. Although Ezekiel was proven not to be Smoke’s son, we decided to keep that between us. As far as everyone knew he was Smoke’s son, they even bore some resemblance. Our daughter Kareena came shortly after Ezekiel, it was shocking to find out that I was pregnant at my six-week checkup. Since Smoke and I agreed that I should focus on law sch
ool, which would be very challenging, we compromised and I was able to get an IUD.
I looked next to Kareena and spotted the Michael’s; through everything, they stood by my side. I never knew what it felt like to have a two-parent home, but after living with them, I was able to experience it for the first time. I am forever grateful that God put them in my life, I was also sad that they would be touring the motherland for a few years after my wedding. Messing around with Zana she had them wanting to go to the jungle and shit, she even extended an invitation, which we kindly declined. I had no problems with visiting Africa, I actually been there and it’s a beautiful country. I was just not about to walk through the desert for a few years. Not I.
My eyes traveled more in the crowd until I spotted my mother. Although I so badly wished that my father was here to share in this moment with me, I was happy to have one parent here rooting me on. Nao still hasn’t come around yet, matter of fact her Dale, and their son moved to Michigan. It was crazy how our kids were brothers and cousins at the same time. I was shocked when she picked him over family, but I didn’t blame her. Twenty two years ago her mother chose her man over me, so the apple didn’t fall to far from the tree.
After the graduation ceremony I met up with everyone out front. I was handed flowers, cards filled with money, and so much love. It felt good to be surrounded by a group of people who loved and supported you.
“Mommy, I am so proud of you.” Kareena smiled.
“Me too mommy,” my son chimed in.
I was finally a mother of two and it was the best feeling in the world. I made sure to tell my kids about their big brother and my father. Even if my kids would never meet them in this lifetime, I still wanted them to share the memories I had of them.
“Are you ready to turn up at your bachelorette party?” Shantika asked bouncing around. She was only six weeks pregnant so she was trying to get in all the partying she could before she started blowing up.
“Keep on bouncing your ass around like that and you ain’t gonna live to make it to the wedding,” Journi snapped causing us to laugh.
“Karrueche honey, I have court in a few hours, see you bright and early baby doll,” my mother said kissing me on the cheeks.
“Later granny’s babies,” she smiled at the kids before removing two Blow Pops and handing them each one.
“Mom stop doing that,” I snapped. I hated when she spoiled them with candy.
“Oh hush; grandmas were made to spoil her grandbabies.” She waved me off before walking to her car.
“It better not be no shit tonight,” Smoke warned pulling me to the side.
“Oh hush. we’re going to one of those gay men strip clubs and last I heard they didn’t eat cat.” I smirked.
“Okay nah, fuck with me if you want to and you gonna be hopping down the aisle with on leg,” he snapped.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah, same for you.” I rolled my eyes.
“All this ass my kids done gave you, I’m good right where I’m at.” He kissed me on the neck.
“Uh uh, save that for the honeymoon we got to go,” Shantika snapped pulling me away from Smoke.
The kids left with Zana and the Michael’s while we went to celebrate our last night being single.
* * *
“Stop shaking you, you look like a crack head going through withdrawal,” Shantika snapped on me.
Today was the day of my wedding and I was a nervous wreck. The beautiful shimmering beaded high low wedding dress I wore fit my body like a glove. The long split on the side of my dress displayed my long thick legs in a pair of Jimmy Choo sparkling diamond pumps that I had custom made for my big day. My wedding was a small intimate one that was being held on our private island.
“I’m nervous as fuck,” I said looking over at Shantika who was wearing a green fitted strapless dress. Her gown flowed down to the ground giving her an elegant look.
Since I didn’t have much family and friends I had about thirty guest that was in attendance, not having that much people didn’t matter. Sometimes having your circle small isn’t always a bad idea.
“You look beautiful, almost prettier than I looked at my wedding. You have nothing to worry about. Smoke loves your dirty draws and stinky feet, he adores you,” Shantika said causing me to smile.
“Are you ready to get this show on the road?” Cinnamon, my party planner asked.
“I’m as ready as I’ll every be.” I beamed.
“Okay, we will move in on my cue,” Cinnamon replied before speaking into the earpiece that was in her ear.
Lala introduced her to Shantika when she was planning her wedding and I automatically booked her for mine. Cinnamon’s work was amazing and she worked her ass off making sure her brides had their dream wedding. I know I must have chewed her head off a few times; she probably even wanted to smack my ass around. In the end it was all worth it as my dream wedding came together beautifully.
I watched on the monitor as Smoke and his mother walked down the aisle. He was looking real sexy dressed down in an all-white Versace suit. Diamonds dripped from his earrings down to the diamond crusted presidential Rolex he wore on his arm. My baby was swagged out and I couldn’t wait to join him at the end of the aisle.
Love on Top, by Beyoncé played and Journey, Shantika and Journi’s daughter bounced her cute self down the aisle tossing the Chinese imported flowers as she walked.
At first when Shantika named her daughter, I wasn’t very fond of the name. When I asked her why she gave her that name, she told me it was because it was a journey to her finally finding happiness and because she would be able to be named after her father just a spelling difference. After she explained the meaning of the name to me I grew to love it.
Once Journey made her way down, my junior bride and Groom, my son and daughter made their way down. Dressed as miniature versions of Smoke and I they looked cute. When Shantika and Journi made their way down the aisle, my heart started beating fast, this was the moment of truth, the day I would become someone’s wife. Not a girlfriend, fiancé, or baby’s mother, but a wife.
“Are you ready princess?” Mr. Michael asked.
“Yes.” I smiled.
Walking down the isle to Cherish, Moment In Time, I made my way to my king. The closer I got to him I could see tears streaming down his face. Reaching my hands out I wiped his eyes the mouthed the words, I love you.
The wedding ceremony was short and sweet. Once we said our vows and exchanged rings, the pastor prayed over our marriage and it was done. I was officially Mrs. Ezra “Smoke” A’Royal.
“Please welcome to the stage Mr. and Mrs. Ezra A’Royal to the stage for their first dance,” the DJ announced.
You never see it coming
Then the next thing you know… unconditional love… unconditional love
She ain’t looking for no diamonds
Ain’t digging for no gold
Just somebody to love… unconditional love Woaaah
Jah Cure, Unconditional Love blasted through the speakers in my massive back yard as Smoke and I joined hands for our first dance. With my arms draped around his neck and both of his hands pressed against my ass, we rocked to the beat.
“You look sexy as fuck right now. I should beat your ass for wearing that dress,” Smoke whispered in my ear.
“Shut up, I bet you can’t wait to rip it off me.” I smirked.
“That too.” He kissed me.
On the dance floor in front of our friends and family, we entered our own world as our tongues danced to its own beat. The photographer snapped pictures making sure to captured this powerful moment. Black love at its finest. I walked over to the huge posters that I had had with pictures of my father and Kareem; although, they weren’t here to share this moment with me in person, they would be there in spirit.
“Dad, this thing called life has life been real crazy for me since you left. The day you died I was lost. I was still a young woman growing and I needed
you for guidance. In result I started doing dumb things. I fell in love with a man and allowed him to belittle me as a woman. He was a married man and I still had dealings with him. I was so lost behind this man that I had a good man standing in front of me, but I was too blind to see him. It took me being broken down to my lowest point, just so I could rebuild myself as a woman. Today I am who I am because you were with me. When I felt like giving up, I could hear your voice encouraging me to keep going. Smoke is a great guy. He is such a wonderful father, lover, listener, and I know he will make a wonderful husband. I wish you could have met him. You would have loved him. Now that dream I had a four years ago makes sense. You was right there telling me all along that he was still with me. Thank you dad, even in heaven you’re still looking out for me. I love you and take care of Kareem for me,” I said kissing both pictures. I stood to my feet and wipe the tears from my eyes.
My life was now complete. I eliminated everyone who was a threat to me, literally. Now, I’m living with people who only want the best for me. When my story began I was a young girl, who was weak and in need of guidance. Now, I’ve matured and I’m way stronger than ever.
Don’t Panic, by French Montana started to play and Smoke came over to me so we can dance.
“Shawty fell in love with a hustler. Man I took her from a buster,” Smoke sang in my ear.
“That you did.” I smiled.
