“My cookbook?” Allie laughed, glancing at Brad and Karl. “I have no plans for that.”

“Oh, but you should,” Crash said suddenly, surprising Allie. His face showed no signs of sarcasm or disparagement. “You’re a genius at hiding healthy stuff in normal food. I can’t even imagine the amount of nutrients we’ve consumed over the last week. Even AJ’s mother couldn’t get him to eat so many vegetables.”

“Not even deep frying them all,” AJ agreed. “Although she certainly tried.”

Allie laughed. “I can appreciate that. So you’re moving to Oakland, Buffy?”

“Yes.” Buffy blushed a little and leaned back so that she was touching one of her guys on each side. “It seems like as good a place as any to start over.”

AJ smiled down at her. “We’ll be keeping her in line, too, believe me.”

Crash grinned at Karl and Brad. “I can’t wait to try out some of my new toys! We’re going to buy a house with a basement and make our own dungeon—”

“Hold on there, sport,” AJ interrupted him. “Buffy is a delicate flower and needs protecting, not pounding on. Now, a spanking here and there I can certainly condone, but I’m not sure about some of this other stuff.”

“Buffy will enjoy playing with me in the dungeon, won’t you?” Crash kissed the top of her head, and Buffy turned wide eyes to Allie.

“As long as it’s carefully negotiated and he pays attention to her limits, they should be fine to experiment,” Allie said soothingly to AJ. “Women are tougher than you might have been raised to believe.”

“Believe me, I’ll pay attention to her limits,” Crash told her with a smile. “I am a licensed therapist, after all.”

“You’re a what?” Allie felt her jaw drop open. Buffy turned to stare at Crash, disbelief on her face as well.

AJ snorted. “He actually is. Don’t believe him when he acts like a feebleminded baboon. He’s got a deluded idea that it makes him more attractive to women. In reality he spends most of his free time working with at-risk teenagers. There isn’t anybody better at getting them to open up to him about their lives and start thinking about their futures.”

“You work with at-risk teenagers?” Buffy spun on him as if she’d just been told he was a professional con man. “Why didn’t you tell me this before? I thought you were a football player.”

“I–I—You never asked.” Crash stared at her. “I am a football player, but I did go to college, you know.”

“We’ve got lots of talking to do about this hobby of yours and how I can get involved.” Buffy frowned at him. “I need to know if you’re keeping any other important information from me if I’m going to be moving in.” She gave Allie, Brad, and Karl hugs. “You guys have been so wonderful. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate everything you’ve done for me this week.”

Allie opened her mouth to assure them all of their welcome anytime when a large, black truck pulled into the driveway and skidded to a stop in front of them in a cloud of dust.

The passenger door opened, and Carly propelled herself out of it and toward them as if the truck was filled with some kind of nasty poisonous insect.

“You’re still here! Thank God we didn’t miss you!” She raced up the steps and grabbed Buffy, crushing her in a bear hug. Dennis got out of the other side and followed her more slowly, nodding to the assembled group.

“We were just discussing plans for more remodeling work,” he said. “We kind of lost track of time.”

“It’s okay. We were planning on stopping by the diner for a snack on our way out of town anyway,” Crash said.

“Of course you were.” Allie glanced at her watch, refraining from mentioning that breakfast had only been an hour ago. For Crash that showed a lot of willpower.

Everyone began loading into their cars and saying their final good-byes. Allie and her guys stood on the porch and waved as they headed back to their normal, everyday lives.

“Well, that was certainly an adventure,” Brad said, settling himself on the porch swing. Karl and Allie joined him, breathing their own sighs of relief.

“I guess for it being our first BDSM Boot Camp, it didn’t go too badly,” Allie said.

The guys stared at her. “Even with all of that trouble with Lou,” she insisted. “I think they learned a lot. I know I certainly did.”

“They’ll never forget this week, that’s for sure.” Karl sat back, his long legs stretched in front of him.

“Neither will we.” Allie lay down so that her head was in his lap and her legs were stretched over Brad’s. It was her favorite position, and she felt that she deserved to take a little break.

“Nope.” Brad took off her shoes and began to massage her feet. “Neither will we.”
