Michael looked over her shoulder at him, and he couldn’t hide the two tears sliding down his cheek. She undid him.

Nathaniel chuckled and pulled the blanket over them all higher.

“Another hour, Michael, then we’ll head home.”

Michael nodded and kept his eyes wide open so that he could stare at her sleeping face, reluctant even to blink for a second in case he missed something.

  ****

Margaret woke alone, sore and replete. She had never been so physically or emotionally sated. But there was one thing gnawing at her and that was that she didn’t want to be turned into a vampire yet.

She felt complete now. Becoming a vampire surely wouldn’t increase the feeling? She stretched languidly and took a deep breath through her nose. She could smell Michael and Nathaniel. Her men. Her vampires.

Today she would stay home and think about the best way to explain it to them. Surely they would understand that she needed a bit more time.

She needed to know that they trusted her and cared for her enough to respect her choice. She had never had that. Her life had been ruled, first by her parents and then by her horrible husband. The last thing she needed was two more men taking all of her choices away.

Yes, of course they would understand if she explained it properly. Her mind was certain that a logical argument would win the day, but her heart knew better. She would need to call on their passions to get what she wanted. Only tonight would tell.

  ****

At 9 PM that evening, her gentlemen arrived. She directed the butler to show them straight to her bedroom. It had taken a lot of her courage to make that request, but she had done it. Her body was one of her greatest weapons when it came to her men.

They entered and saw her in her dressing gown. Their identical expressions of shock that soon turned into hunger had an instant affect on her own body. Her nipples tightened, and her lower belly heated with anticipation.

“I need to speak to you both before we make love again.”

They began to strip off their clothes and laid them carefully in a pile.

  Michael grinned at her.

“Well, get straight to the point, beautiful Margaret. We can smell how much you want us.”

She blushed and took a deep breath. The moment had come.

“I don’t want you to turn me into a vampire.”

Michael and Nathaniel stopped undressing, both clad only in their breeches. Her mouth ran dry at the beautiful expanse of smooth skin exposed. She closed her eyes and focused on her goal.

“I know you both want me to, but I love my life exactly how it is now. I have you, and I have my freedom. Can’t we continue like this? Spend every night together and then you can leave me to continue my life during the day?”

Michael, her passionate, arrogant, blond angel was next to her, pulling her into his arms before she could gasp.

“We need you, Margaret. Not by halves.”

He began kissing down her neck, and Margaret pushed against his chest in fear. If either of them were going to turn her into a vampire against her will, it would be Michael.

“Don’t you dare bite me, Michael. I need to talk to you about this.”

Michael groaned but let her go. Relief swept through her as she realized she could trust him. She needed to know that she could. Trust and love went hand in hand for her.

“There’s nothing to talk about, Margaret. We have waited five hundred years for you. We can keep you happy, fulfilled in every way. You won’t miss this life at all.”

Margaret stamped her foot and moved closer to Nathaniel, who stood close to the blazing fire now. He was the reasonable one.

“Nathaniel, please, can’t you understand? I finally have my life back. I have spent a decade nursing my disgusting invalid husband. Why can’t I have another year or two as a human? It would be nothing to you.”

Nathaniel looked over at Michael then back at her. His eyes almost undid her. He looked so vulnerable, hurt.

“We can’t force you, Margaret, but know this. Every second we are apart weighs on us. Hurts us. Tonight Michael and I felt complete for the first time in our entire existence. Asking us to give that up now is impossible. It would destroy us.”

She groaned and ignored the guilt creeping into her heart. Why was she being so selfish?

No! Why didn’t they understand? She wasn’t asking them to do without her at all. She just wanted to remain human. It wouldn’t be forever. She just wanted a little more time.

“That’s the issue, Nathaniel. You have already lived that long, and you want this. I didn’t even know you existed until four days ago. Give me some time to assimilate and adjust. I’m not going anywhere.”

Nathaniel moved over to sit on her bed, their bed now. She had bought a whole new bed suite after her husband had passed, and now she would never think of it as any other way.

“What could you want more than us?”

Margaret flushed, in both anger and embarrassment. She didn’t want more; she wanted both. Them and her old life.

“What we share is amazing, Nathaniel, but you are asking me to give up my whole life for good sex.”

It hurt her to lie, but there it was.

Nathaniel growled, and Michael moved closer, laying a hand on his lover. How unusual, she had never seen Michael in the calmer role before. The part of her that wasn’t angry recognised that as a very bad sign.

“It is not just good sex, Margaret. Once you are a part of us, bonded to us, you will know what it is like to feel truly happy and complete. Your status and human life will mean nothing.”

She threw up her hands and walked over to the fire, pacing in front of it. How dare they assume to know what was good for her?

“Children? I have never had a child. Must I give up the opportunity to do so?”

This argument seemed to give the two men pause. They looked at each other with rather unusual looks on their faces.

“It is possible for us to sire a child, but it is extremely rare.”

She put her hands on her hips and lifted her chin. A warning sounded in the back of her head telling her that she was going too far, yet she continued on.

Perhaps pointing out a worse alternative was necessary to get what she wanted. She wouldn’t give them up, couldn’t. But she kept that to herself as it wouldn’t serve her purpose.

“It doesn’t need to be you. I could marry someone else and have a child. We could be together in twenty years’ time. That’s no time at all for you to wait compared to the five hundred years you have already waited.”

Michael moved first, as she knew he would. He gripped her arms hard and stepped so close that it forced her head back.

“No one else will touch you, ever again.”

She groaned when she felt his hard cock press against her belly. He let go of her, and his breeches were thrown onto the pile of clothes. She gasped at his speed and reached for his neck.

Michael moved his hands to her waist and lifted her up against him. She wrapped her legs around his waist, unable to resist him and what he could give her. His fingers fondled her pussy opening and clit making her gasp and arch against him as he branded her as his.

Her body heated under his skilful hands and intense stare, but she resisted, pouting and complaining like a child.

  “Michael, you aren’t playing fair.”

He pulled her dressing gown off her body and grabbed her arse hard. She gasped and shook with the desire she felt flowing from her mate. Michael stared into her eyes as he pulled her down and impaled her in one sharp thrust.

Margaret groaned and threw her head back as her tender body parted for him. She raked her nails down Michael’s back as hard as she could. He arched and moaned in response, his blue eyes clouded with passion. Somewhere in her soul his need to possess her sparked a similar need in her.

She looked across at Nathaniel, standing alone and hard next to the bed.

“I need you, too.” She held out her hand,
and he walked forward, reaching out for her.

Michael was holding her down on him, his cock pulsing inside her, but unmoving.

“I’ll wait.” Nathaniel stroked her face, and she shook her head.

It would take courage, but she knew she could take them both.

“No, I want you to take me how Michael takes you.”

Nathaniel’s eyes darkened, and he looked at Michael with a look of hunger she couldn’t believe after what they had already shared.

Michael nodded and lay down onto the bed with her still on top of him. Nathaniel moved behind her and ran his now oiled fingers between her arse cheeks, slipping one finger inside her.

She gasped at the pain and tightened around his finger.

Michael groaned beneath her, thrusting up. His movement distracted her from what Nathaniel was doing.

Realizing that was the key, Margaret moved forward and pressed her lips to Michael’s, encouraging him to kiss her, distract her, pleasure her.

Nathaniel pushed his cock against her tight entrance and lay down on her, whispering in her ear.

“This will burn a little to begin with, but if you relax and focus on the pleasure, you will come to love it as we do.”

Margaret turned her head and offered her lips to Nathaniel. He thrust his tongue into her mouth at the same time as he entered her, pushing hard until he filled her completely.

She groaned. It did burn. It was quite painful really. How did Nathaniel do this? She broke off, gasping for air.

Nathaniel moved his hand around her belly and pressed on her clit. She moaned, the fire in her belly reigniting.

Both men moved, in and out of her. She had never been more aroused or felt so overwhelmed, so full. And it wasn’t only her body they were possessing. Her heart was being ravaged. She would never be the same after this night.

They began moving faster and harder. The feelings were indescribable.

“Are you okay, sweetheart” Michael was thrusting up into her wet pussy hard and fast, his face showing equal parts of pleasure and restraint.

She nodded. Her belly was so tight and full she didn’t quite know how she was feeling.

“I need you to come, Michael. Push me over like you did last night ... please.”

She was so close to another orgasm. Her pussy was so tightly coiled, her clit ready to implode. If he could release his seed and trigger her orgasm as he had before, it would be perfect.

Michael released a feral noise and grabbed her hips, thrusting up hard and fast.

“Come with me, sweetheart please. I love feeling you squeeze my cock.”

Nathaniel was still moving in her from behind slowly, but Margaret focused on Michael’s frantic movements, her pussy tightening further. Nathaniel moved his fingers faster on her clit, and she exploded. She screamed out loudly as she triggered Michael’s climax, and his hot seed pulsed up and into her. That set off more contractions that shook her, fluid pouring into her and out of her.

Nathaniel moved faster, thrusting into her harder as she and Michael moaned and shook. Just as she fell forward Nathaniel moaned and flooded her arse, his pleasure in her soaking in and completing her. The three of their souls weaved closer together, a mutual groan pulled from all three of them.

Tears slid down Margaret’s cheeks as the intensity of the moment overwhelmed her. She had taken them both, and she had loved it.

As soon as Nathaniel stopped shaking, he withdrew and collapsed onto his side. She looked down on him, and he put out his arms, pulled her off Michael’s body and onto him.

  Still panting he begged her.

“We can’t let you share this with another man, Margaret. We can’t. We will do almost anything to keep you, but please don’t make us do that.”

She sighed and stroked her beloved Nathaniel’s face. Maybe she had gone too far by threatening that. Her whole body buzzed as Michael spooned her from behind and pressed his lips to the base of her neck.

She needed to be honest. They didn’t deserve to be tricked and fooled into giving her what she needed.

“I don’t want anyone else. I just wanted you both to give me a little bit more time, and I was cruel to say such a thing. I don’t want a child if it means letting another man bed me. And I don’t want to wait twenty years to be mated with you both, but I need a little bit of time. I need to know that you will respect my choice simply because it is my choice. I haven’t had any control over my life for so long, and I can’t have that taken away again. Please?”

Michael bit into her neck at the back, and she moaned in pleasure, her blood singing in rapture.

Michael broke off instantly and soothed the hurt with his tongue.

“All right.” He whispered into her ear and reached around to cup her breast.

Nathaniel was at her front, and he kissed her softly on the mouth.

  “All right.”

She needed time to work out what she wanted. Margaret knew that she was meant for Nathaniel and Michael. They were made for her and she for them, but that didn’t mean she had to give up her whole life to be with them.

She sighed happily nestled in between them, soft kisses and words binding them together where her sacrifice wouldn’t.

She fell asleep in their arms and slept safe and sound.

  ****

Margaret woke up alone around noon and slipped from her bed. She pulled the bell for her maid and laughed to herself. Never had she felt so alive, so happy. But she needed a bath. She was sore, and her whole room smelt like sex and male.

Her maid dipped a curtsy and blushed when she entered Margaret’s room. It was a scene the poor maid would have to grow accustomed to. Margaret was not losing her vampires for a very long time.

“I need a bath, Betsy. Then I wish to get ready for Lady Benedictine’s luncheon.”

The maid nodded and slid her eyes to the still closed curtains.

“You know it is snowing, my lady?”

Margaret shrugged. The weather meant naught to her.

“Then I shall wear my new fur-lined coat.”

Margaret moved to the chair in front of the fire to wait for her bath to be drawn. She was determined to have it all. Her beautiful, generous lovers and her lady of leisure lifestyle within the London ton. Nothing would stop her.

  ****

Margaret was soon clean, dressed warmly, and in her carriage. The snow had fallen heavily all night whilst she had been indulging herself with her two vampires.

She smiled to herself and laid her head back again the soft head rest. Divine exhaustion.

The luncheon was lovely, the ladies interesting and the food exquisite. Could she really give all of this up for two vampires she barely knew?

She was on her way home when she heard an ungodly noise. The carriage tipped to one side as the wheels crunched and skidded. Real fear had Margaret gripping the handle of her door. Margaret screamed as she was thrown across the carriage, and everything went black.

  Chapter Seven

Michael awoke in Nathaniel’s arms with a start. Something was very wrong.

“Nathaniel, wake up.” He shook his lover and jumped to his feet. He was dressed in moments.

Nathaniel sat up with a puzzled expression, then turned to the side of their bed and began retching.

Michael threw Nathaniel’s clothes at him and gasped as his own wave of pain swept through his belly, sharp and hot.

He bent over, unable to remain standing straight.

Nathaniel was up and dressed in the few moments it took Michael to pull himself erect again.

He choked out the words he was loathe to say. “It’s Margaret.”

Nathaniel nodded, and they made their way above ground to the London street. It was snowing heavily, which would affect their ability to smell her.

“What do we do, Michael?” Nathaniel’s worried voice cut through his thinking.

“We try her house first, and if she isn’t there, we find out where she has been and track her down.”

Michael took a heavy inhaling breath, but could smell nothing.

“It’s going to be hard with this weather.”

Nathaniel nodded but said nothing, his fear and pain permeating the air.

Michael groaned and grabbed his mate’s hand. They had survived so much. Together they had to be able to track her.

“We will find her. Let’s go.”

They ran as fast as they could to her home and knocked on the door.

The butler opened the door, his worried face obvious even to Michael.

  “Yes, gentlemen?”

Michael and Nathaniel bowed, inhaling subtly and sensing no recent sign of her.

“We wish to visit with Lady Tonnington. Is she home for visitors?”

  The butler frowned.

  “No, my lady is not.”

Michael took a step closer. He knew he was not subtle, and indeed people found him arrogant, but when it came to Margaret, he would use every skill he had.

“We are worried about her and would like to see her. Do you know where she may be?”

Recognition registered on the old man’s face, and he flushed pink.

“You are the two gentlemen my lady visited with last evening.”

He and Nathaniel nodded, hoping that would get them more information, not less.

The butler stepped out of the house and shut the door behind him. That alone caused fissions of fear racing down Michael’s spine. Oh God. What had happened to their precious human whilst they were sleeping?

“We are very worried. My lady went to a luncheon in this weather and has not returned. We expected her back hours ago, and I believe she was expecting two gentlemen callers for supper.”

He studied them with a knowing look, and Michael struggled not to blush. They had indeed had plans to visit with her. The meal involved would have been her of course, not the food the butler was thinking of.

“What is your name?” Michael gasped against the pain in his soul. Margaret was hurt, very hurt.

  “Jennings.”

  Michael indicated to Nathaniel.

“This is Nathaniel. I am Michael. We will find her and bring her back. What was the address she was visiting for luncheon?”

The man gave them the address, and they raced to the house, smelling and stretching out with their senses as they ran.
