Goliath rambled on, “Kill me and they're all going to shoot your ass . . . and then they're going to use your ass. You made the wrong move, little girl.”
Just as Mahira was considering the best way out of this mess, a loud noise came from above. It was a soaring, hummer-like spacecraft, and it was zooming down towards them all.
Large laser cannons now sprouted from the aircraft and deadly beams rained down on the scene below it. The rebel team split apart, all running for safety as the green beams flashed all about the area. Most jumped into their vehicles, while others ran as fast as they could away from the incoming lasers.
Mahira held her ground with a knife at Goliath's throat as the big hummer spun around and shot down more of her adversaries.
As the ship hovered closer, jets of steam started to whoosh out from its underbelly as it slowly lowered to the ground. A door rolled open on the side of the craft, and a blue-haired woman full of piercings appeared at the opening.
She brandished two laser rifles, one in each hand, and immediately started blasting away at any stragglers who were still in the area around Mahira and Tyne. She looked at Mahira, “You going to kill that loser, or are you going to wait for me to do it for you?”
Goliath was somewhat lost for words. Mahira just laughed and pushed him over onto his stomach.
The redneck crew had disbanded, either dead or nowhere to seen.
The spiky blue-haired woman walked over to her pals. “You guys are damn lucky I was pretty close by. I figured you were going to be in Connecticut and that I was finally going to get to see some fights, nothing better than a good fight, and then I get your call! I’m like, shit, what have these two gotten themselves into this time?” She then helped Tyne back to her knees. “So here the fuck I am, you can thank me later. What are we going to do with this piece of dog crap?” she added, walking over and kicking Goliath in the ribs.
Blu was not at all like the rest of the sisters in the Mystical Slayer crew; she was definitely an abnormality. She had just saved the day, and she made a fist at Mahira, showing the tattoo across her knuckles, which read free.
Mahira looked at Blu, “Yeah, free today because of you.”
They helped Tyne up as they all boarded Blu’s flyer and got moving out of the area.
Tyne Gem had suffered some severe damage, and they could see they would need to do some heavy repairs on her when they arrived in Connecticut.
The well named 'Sky Captain' piloted their spacecraft today, but as the ship flew forward, huge, dark clouds were gathering before it. Blu studied the sky and gave her estimation, “It looks like we're going to have a pretty big storm very soon, and I do not like the looks of this sucker.”
Mahira had been lost in thought about everything that had just gone down, and now snapping out of her trance, she spoke on an entirely different subject matter. “Blu, I'm going to need you in the fighting pits in Connecticut. It's not single combat, in case you didn't know, it's partners. Tyne had a little plan and was going to try and get in there with me, but as you can see, that’s not gonna happen.”
Blu raised an eyebrow, “How were you guys going to pull that off?”
Mahira looked at the sky and pointed to notify Blu of the incoming storm. “They recently announced that it’s a no rules tournament.”
Blu then got all jacked up and went off, “Sweet as sugar, I will blow them all to pieces with my laser guns, yeahhhhhhh!”
“When I said it was a no rules tournament, I meant it's actually no rules apart from bullets and beams . . . sorry.”
Blu frowned, “Are you saying you need me to do hand-to-hand? Ahhhh, fuck it, I'm up for a challenge.” She smiled at Mahira, revealing the glimmer of a large silver ball pierced through her tongue.
Mahira looked to her crazy friend, “You just follow my lead, and you'll be fine.”
The first flash of lightning illuminated the sky around them. Blu cussed the weather before thanking their ship's bullet proof window. “We're going to have to circle around this thing by taking a small detour,” she frowned.
Without any warning, the ship dropped and curved to the right. Mahira screeched as she nearly fell out of her seat, but Blu just laughed and was clearly loving it.
A loud clap of thunder was followed by heavy rain, and visibility was getting worse by the minute. More bolts of lightning struck out at the ship, and the storm appeared to be getting even more violent.
“Holy mother of storms, this bastard is getting bigger by the second now!” Blu shouted over the loud drumming of the rain while changing gears and checking dials. “Hold on tight,” she yelled.
Two Corporation drones suddenly appeared through the blur of rain and lightning bolts. These ships were quick and darted straight towards them. One came from below and started firing beams up at the sky captain's armored ship. Blu swore, “Son of a bitch! As if the storm isn't enough, we now got company too! Hold on . . . I guess we're not going to take a detour after all. Buckle up tight, there’s only one way we're going to lose these guys, and that means going right into the storm. Yeeeee hahhhhhhh!”
Blu dipped a heavy left and zoomed into the blackening clouds as the lighting cracked all about them. The Corporation drones were still firing and still following in close pursuit.
“Hang on," Blu shouted. "I'm going to have to drop extremely low if I want to lose these bad boys.”
The hummer rolled low and into the eye of the storm, shaking violently as the speed increased. The tailing drones veered off and were lost behind the sky captain’s vessel.
Their very own Sky Captain was 'the best there was, and the best there will ever be' as her fellow freedom fighters always said. She had been a mechanic since she was two years old, and no one, absolutely no one, could fly a ship like Blu.
The clouds were dark and scary looking, only brightening for a moment when the lightning blasted the sky, but Blu rode the storm with ease, and before long the ship broke through with minimal damage. “Ah," Blu announced with a cocky proclamation, "she took a few hits, but nothing I can’t fix. We are all good.”
Mahira finally decided to breathe as she felt the aircraft leveling out. Blu grinned over to her, “Cat got your tongue?” she laughed. “This calls for a drink, and I'm thinking whiskey.”
Mahira was very thankful that all her sisters had such varying skills; they were all amazing in their own right, but she was mighty glad that it had been Blu she'd been with today. Blu pulled a bottle and filled two glasses to the brim. She passed one to Mahira. “Let’s toast to dark skies soon to bring brighter days, sister!” Mahira had no problem downing the very potent whiskey. She made sure to salute Tyne, who was in a seat behind and pretty much out of it. She was as brave as any human they had ever known.
Chapter 9
The team flew into New London, Connecticut. Tyne was just about able to wake up but was weak and heavily damaged. She gazed at her sisters but could not speak. The thing about the beat up former nation as a whole was that every city still had signs of prospering life, some more so than others. The survivors of nuclear war and the many other changing wars did what they could to make do in such a battle torn region.
The women soared above many locations that still had spots of everlasting fires, smoke, and destruction. Corporation funded cities were easy to spot, as the weathered look of its surroundings turned into that of better architecture and cleaner living. Money talked in the Corporation’s name.
They flew across a wide river and now spotted a set of buildings that surely fell into such a Corporation paid area. It was a big coast guard academy, with a naval submarine base located across the river, both still looked to be in good shape. Both structures, from their elevated view, appeared to be well intact and fully functioning with people milling about. The coast guard academy area was no doubt the place for the upcoming fights as people were gathering there in large numbers, and gray and red banners were flying across the tops of the buildings.
r /> Along the water, the ladies spotted several ships that appeared to be in working condition too. One must be an attraction because folk were checking it out right at this very moment. To own a yacht in today’s world was a rarity beyond words.
Blu swirled her aircraft over the academy and made her way to a specific city district. It was there that she and Mahira were taking Tyne Gem. Friends of the sisterhood were nestled there in a small part of the city, so it was there they needed to go.
It was at this particular spot that a scientist and doctor team would fix Tyne up, and they trusted them with their sister's life. This little slayer outpost had been kept going through generation after generation, and the ancestry of its leaders could be traced back to an original duo that once fought for the sisterhood in the days that Mother began a rise for freedom. Tyne Gem would be dropped off there and left in good hands.
The coast guard academy was easy to fly into as there were only a few other aircraft dotted about. One in particular stood out as a Corporation sponsored craft, an expensive black and gray, newer looking vessel. There was always some big wig at the games, and Y-Wood always had to make their presence known with an expensive statement such as this craft.
There were obvious signs this was a Corporation event, one being the robot logo on the gray and red flags flying all about. The women landed with just a smidgen of turbulence on a nearby strip.
Blu and Mahira exited the hummer flyer and walked towards the buildings. “Well I didn't think I was going to be fighting this weekend,” Blu made sure to announce to Mahira as they trotted together. She stuck her pierced tongue out, winked an eyebrow full of metal bars, and then smiled at her friend. “But what the heck," she added. "I need a good workout anyway.” Mahira grinned back at her sister as they came up to the entrance of a training hall, a place where fighters were able to unpack their gear and warm up before fighting. Mahira had done this fighting routine many times before.
They followed a stairwell down, which led them both into a big room. It was like a workout area with weights, padded dummies, and mats littered all around.
The sisters then spotted a man they both knew very well. He was a handsome fellow, maybe thirty, if that. He had slightly curly, brownish hair, and as he saw the women, he waved them over. He and Mahira hugged. “Good to see you both,” he spoke as they went to a corner of the training chamber. “Where is Tyne Gem?”
Blu scratched her head and looked to Mahira who explained, “Oh, Lomax, she got hit pretty badly in a skirmish we got into on our way here. We had to drop her off at the safe house for repairs.”
Lomax was the lover of Raegan, the sisterhood’s leader. He shook his head and sighed, “That’s not good news, will she be okay?”
Mahira assured him, “That girl is one tough cookie. She will be alright but needs some time.”
Blu looked to Lomax with a puzzled face, “Why are you here by the way? If I may ask, dude . . . this is unexpected. I thought it was my job to watch over this event?”
As a few other fighters were entering the room, Lomax explained, “There’s word out there from hackers that a terrorist attack is going to go down . . . possibly here. So I needed to get over and figure it out. I'm not sure yet, but you two may need to leave on a spur of the moment, so just keep that in mind.”
Blu clapped her hands together. “Oh great, not only do I have to arena fight, I now have to watch out for bombs too!”
Lomax gave her a funny look, “I will warn you if and when I hear of anything, but keep in mind that these rumors can often fall through. It’s never easy to execute an attack on the Corporation. They have spies all about, trained bots walking the grounds, and drones up in the sky scanning for trouble.”
Mahira asked, “How’s everyone doing back in Boston?”
Lomax, who worked as a news reporter for Y-Wood where he met Raegan, their leader, was also an undercover operative for the sisterhood. Lomax had a great fondness for all the sisters. They were like real sisters to him. “Everything is in order. Zaey is acting as a lawyer at the upcoming big event, Envy will be a serving girl, and of course Raegan will be attending as a reporter. They’re still working to get another one or two of the sisters inside the party as well.”
More fighters and trainers were now warming up in the chamber. Each side had their own chamber, and this room was for the red team. They could discuss little now as the place was too busy. The focus needed to turn to the fights at hand. Lomax said goodbye to the women and left the room, noting they would talk more later on.

Meanwhile, at Y-Wood Corporation headquarters, a pre-party meeting was running full throttle in President Arn Marcou’s large office. The president was a tall, lean, older man, wearing an all maroon suit with a long tailed jacket. He removed his small glasses and pushed his blondish-gray implanted hair to the side. “I don’t want anything to go wrong at this party,” he insisted to the panel. The president was a refined individual with updated body parts, skin, and intellect many times over. He scanned the room and stared at each of the big wigs sitting around the massive oval table before him.
His general, Berlin Purcell, was present, along with his super robot, Galax, a billion dollar creation and said to be unstoppable.
The President’s secretary, Chancellor Tessa, a tall, middle-aged blond was taking notes, and his main lawyer, Parkis Del, also sat amongst them looking half asleep.
Next was a dark-haired, handsome male clone assistant called Albarto, and beside him was a bald-headed second level human assistant by the name of Resin Cador. The President had sent his top assistant, Hale Valdosta, out to a death match game in Connecticut. This gathering made up the core of his Boston executive branch.
As usual, his personal super bot, Omagus, was near the entrance door. Omagus was a robot of the highest standard, and his unique part hologram, part metal construction was a marvel even just to look at, let alone realize just how powerful this dream bot really was.
The President walked behind his team around the table. “The fighting will begin first thing, with matches covering each day up until the grand ball. It’s always better to finalize deals when people are drunk.” He stopped at the bald Resin Cador and rubbed his head. “Make sure you tell Hale, everything we go over here, newbie. Hale is your boss after all.”
Cador looked up at him, “Yes, sir!”
Arn Marcou then made his way back to his leather chair and sat before the assembled team. “I fucking hate people, but I can tolerate the rich ones. So all of you do your job. Purcell, keep the place safe and free of bullshit, Del, make sure all contracts are ready and foolproof, oh, and then make me lots of money.” He laughed out loud at his words and then looked to his secretary and the low level assistant, Cador. “You two schmooze and do as you must for all the wealthy visitors, feed them, entertain them, get them all laid, do whatever it takes. Use all our resources and virtual tents, games, sex bots, and drugs . . . and make this the best fucking party they have ever been to.”
A rolling bot appeared at the entrance and interrupted the meeting. “President Marcou," the thing said in a drone-like voice, "you have a new assistant here. She insists she needs to see you right away.”
Omagus was about to pick up the bot and toss it down the hallway, but Marcou waved him off as the new woman appeared in the doorway. She was a tall, brown-haired beauty with a visibly curvy body and a very pretty complexion.
She started to talk, “I was—”
“Did I say you could speak?” snapped Marcou. He then clapped his hands at the rolling bot, “Take her to my private quarters.”
Marcou then turned his attention back to the table. “Now, where were we?” His attention then drifted as he watched the innocent girl and his bot rolling down the hallway. He slammed his fist on the table. “Oh, I remember now . . . all of you, get to work!”
A few moments later, he entered his private room to meet the new recruit. She was a treat to his old eyes
. He was over a hundred years old and often forgot what his actual age was. He looked her up and down and said, “What is your name?”
She smiled and replied, “Mandy, sir.” She had perfect teeth and big ass tits, which were barely concealed under her sheer silver blouse.
He smiled back at her, “That’s a nice name. Now take all your clothes off and get on your knees.”
“Excuse me, sir?” she replied, looking quite shocked.
President Marcou’s face turned red, he was not at all in the mood for games. “Listen, you come to the most prestigious institute in the world to ask for work, and you’re taken back by my demands? Strip and get to your damn knees or get the hell out of here.” Mandy swallowed hard and was looking really nervous. Marcou saw the fear in her eyes. He liked it. “I’m sorry," he sighed. "I can be a bit forward. Let me start again here. In order to work for the king of the country, make oodles of money, and be a super-rich, highly respected young lady . . . you must do as I say.”
Mandy complied, got undressed, and stood naked before the President of Y-Wood. She had such a firm, fit body. He was very impressed. He pointed to the floor. “That’s a good girl. Now go on, get to your knees and make your new boss happy.”

Blu would fight with a sword, Mahira her double-bladed axe. With Tyne missing, there would be no prior strategy for any fights. Mahira and her sister went over the ways to fight as a team, and as afternoon arrived, their first fight was about to go down. Surrounding the outside playing field were a bevy of black Corporation robots, all with green glowing eyes and carrying long laser rifles.
Standing and waiting to enter, the women pumped one another up. Blu punched Mahira and Mahira shoved her crazy partner. The gateman, a tall, bald guy with one eye, looked over at the two contestants. His one working eye gazed at Blu as he pondered her odd style, her markings, piercings, and cropped blue hair. “Ha, ha, ha, freaky baby, I like it," he said to her with a raspy voice.
