"There's one more thing,” he said.
"More?” Casey's heart fluttered. “Boy, you're full of surprises tonight, aren't you?"
"Maybe.” He shrugged. “Open the DVD."
"Okay.” She looked down at the DVD case, not sure what he was up to now. For the first time she noticed the plastic wrap had already been removed. Had he put something inside?
She lifted her gaze and saw excitement filling his eyes. Opening the case she noticed a folded slip of light green paper tucked under the clips on the inside lid. The minute she pulled it out of the case she knew she was holding a check. But why would Alex give her money?
She unfolded the check and saw a blur of numbers swimming on the paper. “Alex,” she gasped. “What's this?"
"I want to buy into Studs for Hire."
"What?"
"That is if you'll let me,” he said.
"Pinch me."
"Pinch you?"
"Yes. Because any minute I'm going to wake up and discover the last few months have been nothing but a wonderful, crazy dream."
"It's not a dream, Casey. In spite of my one failure, I do know a good business venture when I see it. I didn't know for sure how much it would take, but I figured this would be a place to start."
"It's a start all right. But, Alex. Twenty-five thousand dollars? Are you sure? After what you've been through. The financial risks you've already faced—"
"Ssh.” He placed a finger on her lips. “I have everything under control,” he said, quoting one of her favorite phrases. “I took my biggest risk by entrusting you with my heart. If I trust you with that, money is nothing in comparison."
"Hmm. You trust me with your heart, and you're willing to financially commit yourself to my business. Does that mean you plan on sticking around for a while?"
"Like glue that never lets go.” He wrapped his arms around her, swallowing her in his embrace. The warmth of him, of his love, seeped into her body and soul, and for the first time in her life, she felt completely whole.
He kissed her again with a promise of what was to come between them tonight, and every night for the rest of their lives. Her heart swelled with happiness knowing Alex would never leave her standing in the freezing cold of a snowy night.
"Besides,” he said softly against her lips between kisses. “Elvis taught me there's always more money that can be made."
"Hmm. Is that right?” She traced her tongue along his bottom lip. “Well, do you know what Elvis taught me?"
"No.” He captured her lips completely for a long, lingering kiss. “Enlighten me."
"That I shouldn't stop myself from falling in love with you. So I didn't. And in case you haven't noticed, I'm an excellent student."
"I've noticed, all right.” Alex smiled, leaned back and looked out the window and up at the night sky. “Thanks, Elvis. I owe you one, buddy.” He turned his attention back to Casey. “Now, Miss Studs for Hire, let me take you home. On a snowy night like this, I'm in the mood for a fire."
"A little Hawaiian fire?” She winked.
"You know it."

Sherry James has an awesome read on her hands with Studs for Hire. Ms. James hooks the readers from the first page and keeps them hooked until the end. Studs for Hire has everything a reader wants and so much more. Sydnie and Trevor offset each other well, and with the fabulous twist in the story, will have readers begging for more. Ms. James has the reader laughing and crying with this emotion-packed romance. Ms. James has wowed this reviewer with the laughter and romance of Studs for Hire. This is a must have romance story.
