About the Author
The Finnish writer and artist Tove Jansson (1914–2001) is known throughout the world as the creator of the Moomin stories, which were first published in English sixty years ago and have remained in print ever since.
In her fifties, Tove Jansson turned her attention to writing for adults, producing a dozen novels and story collections, including the classic, bestselling The Summer Book.
THE EDITORS
Professor Boel Westin is the author of Tove Jansson: Life, Words, Art (Sort of Books, 2014).
Helen Svensson was Tove Jansson’s last editor at Schildts and edited the essay collection, Travels with Tove. Both were Tove’s trusted friends.
