Hunted (Dauntless MC Book 1)

“Wait there. Do not leave!” He commanded her.
“We won’t. Hurry. Oh God, please hurry.”
He could hear the panic in her voice and he didn’t know what had happened but he knew that one way or another, he was going to save the woman he loved. There would be no more loving her from a distance. He would secure her as his property, his old lady, as soon as he had her in his grasp.
Scooter made his way over to the guys at the computer. “All right, dude, it’s time to use some of that pull you have at the agency. She just called me so she’s got her phone. We need the GPS tracked on it.”
“I’m already on it,” Derrick looked up to answer him but then went right back to tracking. This was the reason he kept his laptop with him. He didn’t want agency profiles accessed by outsiders. There it is. It’s right where I said it would be, in the warehouse district in Portland.
“Let’s go, boys,” Tiny called out as Derrick closed the laptop and gathered his belongings, placing everything in his briefcase.
“We’ll follow you, agent.”
The band of brothers looked like a procession of trouble going through the streets of Louisville to their desired destination. Everybody in this town knew who they were and not to fuck with them. It showed on the faces of those who looked out their car windows and stared as they made their way through the streets.
The girls waited for what felt like forever. They had managed to get out of their chains but their abductor had been smart enough not to put the keys that would allow them to escape the warehouse on his key ring.
The guys took out a chain they had brought in their saddlebags and attached one end to the door and the other end to the four-wheel drive SUV the agency had let Derrick use. It sounded like a warzone as they literally ripped the door from the building.
Each girl ran into the arms of the man she found safety with. Justine ran to Derrick and Red ran to Scooter. Neither could ever remember a time they had been so glad to see the men or when they had felt so safe. There was still the issue of getting past charges being pressed against them but, for now, they were safely in the arms of the men who loved them.
Chapter Twenty Five
Talon watched with pride as his property worked her magic.
“Sir, I see no reason why either of my clients should even be charged with a crime. It’s evident by the bruises around your agent’s neck that the man was trying to kill her when my client stepped in and saved her life. She should be awarded a medal, not locked up.”
Agent Simmons, the head of ICE, ignored the issue of not charging the girls because as far as he was concerned, it was a given. He chose to address another issue, which also put everyone’s mind at ease.
“I’m glad to see you representing the agency. That will go a long way with my boys. Am I to understand you have given up this chase of trying to find illegal issues with Agent Snyder?”
“Absolutely, Sir, and I would like to apologize for even being misled in my investigation.” Grace was smart enough to know that Derrick would be working with the club now. Going through what they had all just been through has a way of bonding people together. These guys would be bound for life.
“Well, I’d say all of you have been through enough. We have all the evidence we need from the crime scene and your testimonies. I’m certain you could all use a shower and some sleep. Though everyone agreed as they left, there wouldn’t be anything as simple as a shower and a nap because there was a party already planned for the girls’ safe return home and Red’s ceremony recognizing her as Scooter’s property.
Scooter made his way towards the shower where Red was washing the memories of the last couple of days away. It was now or never and he was past the point of being shy with this woman he wanted. In his mind, it had almost cost her life. He undressed as he listened to her humming in the shower, unaware of his presence. He opened the shower and got in, chuckling when she jumped.
He pulled her milky body close to him and gently whispered in her ear, “Wanna fuck you, babe. Wanna make you mine before the ceremony of presenting you with your property colors.”
She looked up into his face as she brushed his long, dishwater, blonde hair from his eyes. “Thank you for rescuing me, Scooter.”
He picked her up easily in his arms and pushed his hard cock into her. He couldn’t remember a time he wanted a woman as badly as he wanted her. He slowly pumped in and out of her as he spoke, “I don’t want you with any other men. You’re mine now, Red. I want you here with me, living with me, and safe with me, babe. Ah girl, you feel so damn good. I’ve wanted you like this since the day I first laid eyes on you.”
“I’m sorry, Scooter. I’m so sorry I didn’t see what was right in front of me.”
“Doesn’t matter now, girl. I’m just so glad you didn’t get hurt.” Suddenly, a coldness showed in his eyes. “He didn’t hurt you, did he? He didn’t… well, you know?”
“No, Scooter, he didn’t touch either one of us. For some reason, the crazy fuck was mad about Justine being with Derrick so his anger was all directed towards her.”
“Shh, focus on that cock filling you up right now. Do you like it, baby? Do you like being owned and fucked by your man?”
“Yes, baby, you feel so good.”
It wasn’t just the sex making her feel good. It was the longing of wanting to belong to something much bigger than her finally being filled.
Scooter was everything she needed in a man. He was sweet, gentle, caring, and a mean motherfucker if you crossed him, the club, or his property. She needed to be needed like that. She craved belonging and Scooter would meet those needs. In return, she would meet the need in him to be someone’s man. As badly as she needed to be accepted and loved, he needed her to depend on him to take care of her and look out for her. They would each fill a hunger in the other that had been present for far too long. They no longer had to be lonely because now they had each other.
Chapter Twenty Six
The compound courtyard was alive with a full-blown party. Barrels were situated in different areas with fires that lit up the activity. There was a feeling of comradery and Grace stood with her back to Talon as he held her to his chest while she basked in it. This was her family—the family she had never had—the one that had been ruthlessly ripped away from her in cold insensitivity when her father left her and her mother to make it on their own. Talon’s voice interrupted her thoughts.
“You were so fucking hot in that interrogation room, all dressed up in that suit. You were so professional, baby.”
“I think you’re the only biker I know with a fetish for alpha subs.”
“You nailed it, baby. I love a strong woman who only submits in the bedroom. That is a part of you only I am privy to.”
“Well, you’re right about that. You’ve tapped into a part of me I never knew existed.”
“I saw it in you, girl, and I took it.”
His fingers unbuttoned the jeans she wore and trailed down into her panties.
“Someone might see us,” she argued.
“Shut the fuck up.”
She wiggled her ass against his hard cock, giggling. “Yes, Sir.”
“You’re damn straight I’m your Sir.”
She ground her hips into his finger when it trailed over her clit.
“Such a nasty little girl, fucking my finger in public. I’m gonna make you come, girl, right out here in the open.”
She ground into his finger, answering the call for release. He had just finished and she had just buttoned her pants when a guy she didn’t know approached them. She gasped when Talon shoved his finger in her mouth and commanded her to lick her juices from it. She could feel herself getting wet at the thought of doing something so dirty right out in the open, yet the partiers were unaware.
She looked up into the face of the man who had approached them. He looked like a college kid and was accompanied by a beautiful blonde woman. He spoke like he knew who she was when he addressed Talon.
/> “So this is the woman responsible for making you an honest man. You needed a lawyer on tap, motherfucker, as much trouble as you get into.”
“Fuck you, Miller. Shouldn’t you be out on a hit?”
Grace perked up when she heard that. This guy looked young and innocent; he didn’t look like a hit man.
“Came here to kill that dumbass who abducted the club’s women. I hear that girl, Red, who is being inducted tonight, beat me to the punch though.”
“That she did, my man, that she did.”
“Damn, she’ll fit right into our little motley crew.”
Tiny’s voice boomed over the activities. “We’re gathered here to celebrate the fact that our sisters came out of captivity safely, but we also have another special event. Tiny pulled Scooter up to the forefront and presented him with a vest. Scooter smiled and took it, holding it up for everyone to see the patch that said: Red, Property of Scooter and then had the Dauntless name under it. Tears streamed from Red’s eyes as she allowed her old man to place it on her. He leaned down and whispered, “I’m getting your ass inked too, Red.” She turned and jumped into his arms, kissing him as the large crowd erupted in cheers. It was everything she had dreamed of and more. She couldn’t be happier or more proud to be Scooter’s property. It was an honor for any woman in the club to be property—the highest of honors.
Grace waited until Miller and his old lady, Stormy, had moved on before she asked the question burning on her tongue. “Is that guy a hit man?”
“The only reason I’m answering your question is because you’re bound by client confidentiality.”
“Hey, don’t you trust me?” she interrupted.
“The secrets you hear are sacred when it comes to the club, or anyone who has anything to do with it. It’s an honor to be privy to the things that go on in club business and I take that honor very seriously.”
“I do too, Talon.”
He kissed the top of her head, “I know you do, baby. To answer your question, “Yes, Miller is a hit man.” He gave that information time to sink in before he continued. “The chick with him is his partner in crime.”
“You’re kidding?”
“Nope, and she is quite the little badass from what I hear.”
“Remind me to never cross any of these women. They’re just as quick to kill as you men are; Red proved that.”
“You have no idea how dangerous these biker chicks are.”
“Well, I’m getting the message, that’s for sure.”
Talon just chuckled because he knew that crossing a biker chick in the Dauntless club was akin to putting your life in jeopardy. They were just as dangerous, if not more so, than the men they rode with.
Chapter Twenty Seven
Luke sat at his desk and twirled the expensive pen he held between his fingers. He had one thing on his mind and that was how to discredit Talon or, better yet, have his ass imprisoned for life.
He was disgusted with the fact that those losers had weaseled their way into the ICE agency’s good graces. How could they be so stupid as to let that biker chick out of charges being pressed against her? What was it going to take? The girl had killed a man! There had to be a way to take Talon down. Grace was so enamored with him that talking to her did Luke no good.
He picked up the phone and dialed a number he had resisted dialing up until this point. Sometimes the only way to fight fire was with more fire.
“Hello,” a gruff voiced answered on the other end of the line. Luke wasted no time making his needs known.
“This is the lawyer who got your ass off on those charges of theft back when you were in jail with Talon.”
A loud burp travelled through the phone line.
How disgusting, Luke thought as he cringed.
“I hate that motherfucker. He stopped me from beating that rich ass white boy’s ass when we were in the clinker together. That dude named Bill Covington who got that book wrote about him called Don’t Judge a Book, or some such shit. I mean, really, he acts all high and mighty because he’s in that motorcycle club. I would like to catch him away from that group of boys and see how tough he is then.”
Your fat ass wouldn’t stand a chance if you did. I hate having to resort to getting a loser’s help, Luke thought to himself. This guy had no idea how Luke really felt about him.
Another belch sounded over the line and Luke decided to get this over with before he slipped and said something he didn’t want to.
“Look, I’ve got a job for you. Meet me at the club downtown where we met before so we can talk.”
“Yeah, I’ll be there.”
“You better be or I won’t be there the next time you get your fat ass in trouble.”
He hung up before the man had the chance to belch again. He’d heard enough.
Talon took the chance to work on his bike while Grace was at her office. He kept his FLHX Street Glide in top running condition. It was the love of his life. The only things he loved more than that bike were the club and Grace. He, above all people, knew that those who rode in cages never kept their eyes open for bikers and having his bike in top running condition was important for not only the pride he took in the bike, but safety as well. A bike in top running condition could get you out of the way of motorists not paying attention to the road.
They had lost one of their guys to a woman who had been texting while driving five years ago and it had just about crushed the club. The irony of it all was that the bitch had gotten off on all charges and her only punishment had been six months of probation. The club had taken care of the member’s old lady who was pregnant at the time he was killed. She still lived at the compound. Nothing could heal a heart that had broken the way hers had but the club made damn sure she was taken care of financially. They took care of all of her living expenses and though they had encouraged her to get a new old man, she just couldn’t do it.
Talon spoke to Tiny and Raven as he changed the oil and brake fluid on his Street Glide.
“I’m glad to see Red and Scooter together. That girl turned out to be a real badass, didn’t she?”
“Yeah, she’s my kind of chick. I would definitely want that badass bitch on my side if I had a run in with somebody,” Raven answered.
“Who the fuck would have thought she would have ended up getting abducted alongside an ICE agent?” Talon shook his head in disbelief.
“Oh, the irony of it all… That not only got Derrick off your ass, Talon, it secured us having an insider on the other side of the law… and that is priceless.” Tiny was shaking his head, still baffled by the irony of it all.
“I’m just glad he’s off my ass and all my charges were dropped. Having a lawyer for the club works out well too, though that isn’t why I’m with her.” Talon wanted to be sure to reiterate that fact. He didn’t want anyone thinking he was with his old lady for any other reason than he loved her.
“When are you going to marry her?” Raven joked.
“She won’t marry me. She’s too damn independent.”
“You always have liked those strong, professional women. That’s what you get with one of those type of women, Talon.”
“Oh, she’s my property. I can assure you of that and no piece of paper is going to change it.”
Luke made his way into the downtown yuppie bar and grabbed a drink. He made his way over to a darkened table for two reasons: he didn’t want to be seen with this loser he had to resort to calling, and he didn’t want anyone linking him to the hit he was putting out on Talon.
He would have used a more reputable hit man if he could have but the club had close ties to Miller who was the best in the business. If he had made the mistake of soliciting Miller to kill Talon, Miller would have killed Luke for even trying to put out a hit on his brother. Rumor had it that those two were close and Luke wasn’t about to have this shit he was cooking up backfire on him.
He looked up and saw the unkempt slob at the bar and waved him over. He could remember specifically telling
him to wear something decent and, yet, here he was, in all his glory, with his gut and plumber’s crack hanging out for the world to see.
I’ll kill him with my bare hands if he doesn’t get this job right.
He strode over, talking loudly like they were old friends. “Hey, Lawyer, how you doing?”
“Sit down!” Luke’s voice came out like a disgusted growl.
“You don’t have to be rude,” the man sulked.
“I don’t want anyone seeing us together.”
“What? I’m not good enough for you and your country club friends?”
“That isn’t it at all,” Luke lied. “I don’t want it coming back later to bite us in the ass.”
“Oh yeah, that’s smart.” He nodded his head in agreement.
“Look…” Luke started his statement as he removed an envelope thick with money and slid it over in the man’s direction. “Not so fast,” he jerked back when the man went to grab it. “This is five thousand dollars now and five when you finish the job.”
“How do you want him killed?”
“I don’t give a fuck. Cut the brake lines on his bike for all I care.”
“You may be on to something there.”
“Like I said, I don’t give a fuck… just get rid of him.”
Chapter Twenty Eight
“You do realize I’m at work don’t you?” Grace sat at her desk trying to concentrate on the files in front of her.
“Take it off of the fucking speaker and you won’t have to worry about censoring my call. I’m NSFW and you should know that by now.”
“I learned long ago that you’re not safe for work, Talon.”
“Well, be ready to leave at five because today is the day you go for a ride on the back of my bike.”
“What am I supposed to do with my car?”
