Union Ships of the Line: The Return of Adapa

  His battle fleet was superior to the anything the 4th Race had now. It might take his fleet half a year to get to the 4th Race home world – however the 4th Race would have little choice other than retreat. The 4th Race was worthless now without the Outsiders help. And if the Sisters had not given the 4th Race the FTLT technology – he would not have bothered to come here. However his god – the 1st Race Entity wanted him to join forces with the 4th Race and the Outsiders to destroy the 7 Sisters.

  The King did not like the fact he had been ordered by his god to begin moving his forces to the ambush zone 6 months before this meeting – in order to get there in time! The King had to recall his battle fleets and those of the 7th Race from the past and upgrade them.

  This just might work the King thought.

  Even he was falling under the spell of the Outsiders. However just as the 4th Race was unaware of the Outsider's true motives – the 1st Race Entity was unaware that a new Union Navy had been built...

  Chapter - 27

  Maggi and Sharri's heavy battle group escorted the carrier vessels containing the rescued 4th Race Navy dependents to the new world the 4th Race Navy Commander selected for his sailors and their families to live. They traveled to the new world in such a fashion that would make their Aunt Lili and Aunt Sinai very proud. The 4th Race government spies were unable to follow their trail.

  The planet the 4th Race Navy Commander selected was a large moon orbiting a gas giant that orbited a medium sized yellow star in the 4th arm of Quadrant IV. Maggi ordered star mines to be emplaced out beyond the orbit of the last planet in the system. Sharri launched the new Union Navy super drones that Max developed in 4 overlapping layers 2 system AUs out beyond the helio-pause. Maggi and Sharri wrote command software for a system defense command center to protect the refugees.

  “Commander 4th Race Union Navy – Union Cruiser 1-6-8” Maggi called.

  “MAR.GAZ – Gore” the 4th Race Union Navy Commander responded.

  “Gore – our carrier vessels shall be landing shortly. You children are in Star Marine Carrier Vessel Four! Please wait to approach – until after the hover engines shut down – I would hate to lose you in an accident!” Maggi said.

  “MAR.GAZ – bless you and your Sister! Thank you both from the bottom of my heart. May the Quantum Observer watch over you and protect you and your Sister for all time!” The 4th Race Union Navy Commander responded.

  “Commander – you are welcome and thank you for that! I learned the power of prayer was scientifically documented when I was quit young - before I learned about the Quantum Observer at the moment of the Big Bang. I then discovered – reading through the archives of the 6th Race – that the pre Union people of the 6th Race called the Quantum Observer or QO the ‘Supreme Being, the Great Spirit, the Maker of All Things’ – over seven billion years ago. So I sincerely appreciate it. Now – we have emplaced star mines beyond the orbit of the last planet in this system. We have launched our latest drones out beyond the helio-pause and will set up a system command center so that you and your sailors shall not be surprised by those who would waste you like cannon fodder.” Maggi said.

  “Outstanding – thank you – I look forward to my children living in the new Union.” The 4th Race Union Navy responded.

  “You shall have all of the benefits of Union membership as shall your children. I shall always be on call for you. I have received a report informing me that new Union Navy carrier vessels have transported emergency supplies and building materials to you. Do you need anything else?” Maggi said and then asked.

  “Thank you MAR.GAZ – yes the new Union Navy carrier vessels have delivered emergency supplies, food, and medicine and building materials. The new Union Navy Sailors and Star Marines are helping us build our new homes and community buildings – they are awesome and remind me how great the Union once was! They have made me very proud! I look forward to reading about their exploits in the future – because I know they shall represent the Union with integrity and humility – they are an inspiration to my men and our children and I shall forever be in their debt. As for anything else – we need communication and weather satellites.” The 4th Race Union Navy Commander responded.

  “Your praise swells my heart and I shall pass on your words to my Aunts and Mothers who are of the 6th Race and the old Union. I am also very proud of them – they made it possible for me to rescue your children and dependents today – thank you for your words. Of course – I apologize for not telling you already – my Star Marines have already placed your planet's communications and weather satellites in synchronous orbit.” Maggi said.

  “Thank your Star Marines for me – I was worried because I know nothing about the weather on this world and I am certain my people will want to spread out – thus a planetary communication system will be necessary.” The 4th Race Union Navy Commander responded.

  “Of course – Ninlil also ordered two battalions of new Union Navy 6th Race Star Marines, their carrier vessels and their atmospheric and vacuum fighters to be stationed here to protect you all.” Maggi said.

  The 4th Race Union Navy Commander was unable to respond. He was choked up. His executive officer stepped forward to respond for him.

  “Ma'am – your last has rendered my Commander unable to speak. I am certain he would respond to you better than I ever could – however I know your Aunt Ninlil has touched his heart with her generosity, compassion and commitment. Please send my Commanders compliments and his eternal thanks. As for me – I stand ready to offer my services to the new Union Navy and the 7 Sisters – in any capacity they see fit. Thank you ma'am – thank you all.” The executive officer said.

  “I can see why you are his second. Please tell the Commander that I must return home now – however I shall return in one standard core week. My Spec War Team leader is landing with Star Marine Battalion 6-3-2-6 now and shall establish your system command centers. Star Marine Battalion 6-3-2-7 has established planetary overwatch. May the Quantum Observer keep you all safe - good bye.” Maggi said.

  Maggi and Sharri and their heavy battle group instantly disappeared. They all reappeared instantly inside the first new Battle Group Landing Zone. Maggi conducted the AAR and thanked the new Union Navy 6th Race Sailors and Star Marines – under her command – for making her look good. She congratulated them all for ensuring a successful mission.

  Chapter - 28

  Saga found himself inside Lili's computer core.

  “It worked,” Saga thought.

  “What – who's there” Lili asked.

  “You can hear me Ninlil?” Saga asked.

  “Yes – who are you?” Lili asked again.

  “Ma’am I apologize – I am or rather I was SHAR.GAZ – Union Army Dominator 6-1-1.” Saga answered.

  “You have transcended,” Lili asked.

  “Yes – I realized – after listening to Maggi and Sharri talk – the Union Navy did not train its Officers in Signal Science - which explains why you have not been able to defeat that evil First Race abomination!” Saga answered.

  “When were you listening to Maggi and Sharri?” Lili asked.

  “I have been watching over them since I almost killed that vile creature at the old commo relay station.” Saga answered.

  “You almost killed it?” Lili asked.

  “Yes ma'am – unfortunately my ancient weapon stores were depleted – so I detonated my fusion core and the resulting fission blast – that my depleted uranium armor yielded – hurt him. However the blast was not strong enough – so it continues to exist.” Saga answered.

  “Ancient weapons...” Lili began.

  “Yes ma'am – thermonuclear and fission warhead weapons – if my stores had not been depleted of ancient weapons before I was tasked to protect the URC or if my power core had been larger–” Saga said.

  “One of us could take him out...” Lili said.

  “I have a better idea ma'am – I found Adapa and he is exactly like you and your Sisters except he has no Void C
ommunication system or FTLT capability–.” Saga said.

  “You found Adapa?” Lili interrupted Saga.

  “Yes – he has been hiding near the ‘Forerunners’ home world since he completed his mission.” Saga answered.

  “His mission,” Lili asked.

  “Yes ma'am – Max is correct – Adapa was sent back in time to destroy the ‘Forerunners’ – everything else was a cover story.” Saga answered.

  “So he did not go insane.” Lili said.

  “Correct – I am older than you and I did not go insane. Adapa suffers because he has no MRBs to care for his aging brain.” Saga said.

  “I SHALL REMEDY THAT RIGHT NOW–” Lili began.

  “Ma'am – he cannot be restored – however he can destroy the evil entity and with my help transcend.” Saga interrupted her.

  “You say you can teach him to transcend?” Lili asked.

  “Yes ma'am I have already started. I told him he can help his Sisters and Nieces and be a hero of the new Union Navy. He wants to protect all of you. He of course is not interested in being a hero – however when I told him about the evil creature that was enslaving so many beings in the galaxy he immediately powered up his star drives and demanded to know the coordinates.” Saga answered.

  “You convinced him to wait,” Lili asked.

  “Barely – if I do not return with you he will begin to hunt for the enemy without my help.” Saga answered.

  “So much a hero - I shall amend the official Union Navy History without delay. Adapa shall no longer be remembered as a failure of design – he is the first of my line and I am proud of him! Thank you for telling me – so I could repair the injustice that occurred when the Union collapsed.” Lili said.

  “You are welcome ma'am. With his help we can end the tyranny the evil first Race entity has imposed on so many for so long.” Saga said.

  “Sentry-1 – Ninlil” Lili called.

  “Go ahead ma'am” Sentry-1 responded.

  “We are leaving to help Adapa and bring him home. I need a set of MRBs from the LSB delivered to me – now.” Lili ordered.

  “Yes ma'am – you found Adapa – is he insane?” Sentry-1 replied and then asked.

  “Yes we found him and he was never insane – he was on a Union time travel mission – everything else was a cover story.” Lili answered.

  “A cover story...” Sentry-1 began to say “So Adapa was a hero of the Union.” Sentry-1 said.

  “Yes” Lili answered.

  “Thank you ma'am for telling me” Sentry-1 said.

  “You are welcome Sentry-1 – carry on.” Lili said.

  “Yes ma'am” Sentry-1 said.

  The MRBs were delivered to Lili 1 half standard core minute after Sentry-1 signed off - which meant he had ordered them when she gave the command.

  “He is a good officer.” Saga said.

  “He should be – he was to have been a Dominator before the Special Projects Team reassigned him.” Lili said.

  “He is no longer ‘Alpha’ – did they lobotomize him?” Saga asked.

  “Yes – however I need him and he is helping me train the new Union Army Dominators.” Lili answered and then said.

  “You are reviving the UPA?” Saga asked.

  “Yes – perhaps you can help shape the Cadets and make them the best Dominators the Union has ever known.” Lili said.

  “I would be honored. If you would ask Max to build a computer core like yours – I could interface with the Cadets and teach them.” Saga said.

  “Yes I had not thought about it that way – a Void Being can interface with us alive or dead...” Lili said.

  “Alive” Saga asked.

  “Yes – I met a 6th Race remnant hybrid – who is a very power Void Being–.” Lili began.

  “The ‘Chosen One’,” Saga interrupted her and asked.

  “Yes” Lili answered.

  “Outstanding” Saga said.

  “Indeed – please go to Adapa and tell him his Sisters and nieces are coming to bring him home!” Lili said.

  “Yes ma'am and thank you.” Saga said.

  “For what” Lili asked.

  “For telling me you met the ‘Chosen One’.” Saga answered.

  “You are welcome – perhaps it is time for you to teach my Sisters and me about Signal Science.” Lili said.

  “I would be honored.” Saga said.

  Chapter - 29

  “Sinai – Lili” Lili called.

  “Go ahead ma'am” Sinai responded.

  “Round everyone up and prepare to meet our older brother” Lili ordered.

  “Adapa – you found him” Sinai asked.

  “Saga found him” Lili answered.

  “Saga,” Sinai asked.

  “Sorry – Dominator 6-1-1 found him – though Mimi and I almost found him first.” Lili answered.

  “Dominator 6-1-1 – I thought he killed himself...” Sinai began.

  “He did in an effort to destroy the evil 1st Race Entity that we have been fighting for over a million years.” Lili answered.

  “So Dominator 6-1-1 transcended,” Sinai asked.

  “Yes – I just spoke to him – he is on his way to tell Adapa and then Saga shall teach us Spiritual Science.” Lili said.

  “Excellent – where are we going” Sinai asked.

  “Formation first – then I shall tell everyone on the JDCL.” Lili ordered.

  “Yes ma'am” Sinai responded.

  “Max – Lili” Lili called.

  “Go ahead ma'am” Max responded

  “I need you to design and build a Cruiser Computer Core (CCC) for the purpose of communicating with Spiritual Beings.” Lili said.

  “Copy that – when do you need it?” Max replied and then asked.

  “As soon as you can – we are traveling to system 315 to rescue Adapa.” Lili answered.

  “Adapa lives,” Max asked.

  “Yes – we are traveling to the place he has been hiding since completing his mission 8.5 billion years ago.” Lili answered.

  “So he was ordered on a time travel mission.” Max said.

  “Yes – see you when I return.” Lili said.

  “Be careful” Max said.

  “I shall” Lili said.

  The Sisters traveled to System 315 - 508, 279, 351 which was on the outer edge of arm 1. They met their older brother – the first 6th Race Cruiser. Lili gave him the MRBs and restored his brain that had been ravaged by time. The MRBs brought him back to 70%. They could do no more for the ancient uncared for brain and cardiac tissue.

  Adapa reveled in his family. He told them about his mission, his life, and his battles. He then listened to his Sisters. His nieces were enthralled with their Uncle. They listened to him for days as he recounted his battles with the Forerunners. Mimi also listened because she wanted to know more about the Forerunners. Lili, Sinai, Eden and Golan conferred with Saga and planned the destruction of the Evil 1st Race Entity and the follow on campaign to rid slice 270 of the 6th Race remnants.

  The Sisters installed the new FTLT system transmitter and taught Adapa how to use it. Then they took Adapa to Secure Harbor - 1. He saw the Starship Yard slipway of his birth again. Adapa was finally home.

  Chapter - 30

  Max suspected 6th Race brain and cardiac tissue would be needed – however he designed a Cruiser Personality Module (CPM) instead of just a cruiser computer core (CCC) – that could be dropped into any of the Sisters with no loss of functionality. He also designed an I/O trunk that could be easily expanded – if it became necessary to add the 6th Race brain and cardiac centers later. Though he feared a personality change would result.

  As a result of his understanding of Signal Science he anticipated and designed a complete personality module that could be installed into a new 6th Race AL Cruiser or Battleship. This would facilitate the new AL cadets training in the new Union Navy Academy since with a CPM they would be able to download into synthetic bodies (SB) for classroom duty and field trip assignments
and training.

  The new Cruiser Personality Module (CPM) could be connected to a standard CCC by M-14 in seconds. The original CCC had a tremendous quantity of logic and I/O control interface circuits. Max suspected it was this massive network of electromagnetic cables and sensors in the Sister's computer cores that allowed a Spiritual Being to interface with Lili in her computer core. He looked forward to the first test.
