“But,” Allie began to argue, but Ellen’s lips cut off her words.
“Make love to me, Allie. If you want me to beg I will, but please make love to me.”
Allie got up and went to the door.
“Are you leaving?” Ellen asked disappointed, but then she watched Allie lock the door. The smile reappeared on her face.
“You’ll never have to beg me to make love with you, Ellen. I fell in love with you the first year we met, but I never thought you had any interest in me.”
“I can’t believe I was able to hide my feelings for you. I saw you going out on dates and I wanted to be one of those women, but I didn’t think you cared until this past weekend. When you were drunk you told me you were in love with me.”
“I did?”
Ellen nodded. “I told you too that I loved you, but I guess you didn’t remember that.”
Allie walked over to Ellen and rested her palm against her cheek. She kissed Ellen’s face before her lips captured her mouth. Ellen opened her mouth to Allie’s tongue. As legs became wobbly, they fell onto Allie bed. Ellen was on top of Allie and she settled between her legs.
“I love you, Allie.” Ellen whispered into her ear.
“I love you too,” Allie said before her mouth went to Ellen’s neck. She now reached for the hem of Ellen’s t-shirt. It went over her head in one motion and the bra clasp was opened. Before Allie let the bra drop, she looked into Ellen’s eyes.
“I want this, Allie. I’m not like Mary. Believe me when I say I won’t hurt you.”
The bra was added to the floor and Allie rolled Ellen over so she was now the one on top. Her mouth went to the raised bud and her tongue swirled the nipple until it was standing firm. Ellen moaned in response and reached for Allie’s shirt.
“Take it off, Allie.”
Allie sat up on her knees and took off her t-shirt and bra. Ellen’s eyes opened wide as Allie slipped her shorts off and then her own. Ellen gasped as their skin touched for the first time. This is what Ellen had craved for so long. All the dreams she had of them making love was nothing compared to the emotion she felt with Allie lying on top of her.
“Touch me, Allie.” Ellen moaned. “I need you to touch me.”
Allie kissed Ellen’s stomach as her hand went between her legs. She felt Ellen tense and looked at her face in question.
“I want this, Allie.”
Allie’s hand moved over her core and into the folds. The moan left Allie’s mouth as she felt the wetness under her fingers.
“Oh, honey, you’re so wet.”
“Only for you, Allie. Always it will be only for you,” Ellen whispered as her breath became ragged.
Allie inserted one finger and then added another. Ellen’s hips rose off the bed as Allie moved her fingers. The rhythm of Allie’s hand and Ellen’s hips were matched until she felt Ellen stiffen as the orgasm took her.
“Oh, Allie,” Ellen moaned until her body collapsed back down on the bed.
They were both breathing heavily as Allie rested her head on Ellen’s chest.
“Are you okay?” Allie asked looking at Ellen’s face.
“Wonderful.”
Allie smiled and moved lower until her mouth met the raised hips. She savored in her first taste of Ellen. The reaction she was getting from Ellen’s body told her she was doing a good job. The orgasm built in Ellen’s body.
“Oh, Gooooooooood.” Ellen screamed out and her head was thrown back on the bed. “Come here,” she whispered one she brought her breathing under control.
Allie crawled up Ellen’s body until their lips met. They kissed deeply until they had no air left.
“I know what I’m going to tell you might be construed as the heat of passion, but you have touched my soul, Allie. You’re stuck with me now because I’m never letting you go.” Ellen whispered though trying to catch her breath. “I know I have no experience, but I so want to do to you what you did to me.” Ellen flipped Allie onto her back and began to ravage her body with love.
CHAPTER FIFTEEN
The sun began to peak through the dorm room windows. Allie awoke to find Ellen wrapped in her arms. Last night had been passionate, satisfying and eye opening. She never would have guessed that the shy girl lying in her arms could be so passionate. Allie felt Ellen stir next to her.
“Good morning,” Allie said with a stretch of her body.
“Morning, love,” Ellen said with a kiss to Allie’s neck. “I don’t think I can move,” she said as her leg rested against Allie’s core.
“I can stay like this all day, but we’ve got our rooms to pack up. My parents will be here tomorrow to collect my stuff.” Allie’s arms squeezed Ellen to her. “Did you mean what you said last night?”
“I meant everything I said last night, but what are you referring to?” Ellen asked as her finger twirled around Allie’s nipple.
“That you never going to let me go?”
Ellen sat up and looked down at Allie. “Yes, Allie I meant that.” Her eyes squinted. “Unless you don’t want me.”
Allie smiled. “Come here,” she said pulling Ellen on top of her. “I’m never letting you go either.” Allie kissed Ellen’s lips softly. “Have you heard back on the job you applied to?”
Ellen rolled off of Allie not able to meet her gaze. “Not yet.” What Ellen couldn’t tell Allie was that she had applied to several out of the state. One being her dream job in Virginia, but there was no reason to say anything now.
The two women stayed in bed most of the day and began packing their rooms in the evening.
“What are you going to do with your things?” Allie asked.
“I took that room I had during the summer. Mrs. Wilson said I can stay as long as I want.”
Allie knew it wasn’t going to be ideal that Ellen was in Raleigh and she would be at home, but she trusted Ellen. Unlike Mary who began dating almost immediately once she was away from Allie.
****
Graduation day had finally arrived and Ellen and Allie stood with the rest of their classmates ready to accept their diplomas. As each of the students names were called, cheers from the audience began.
“Ellen Green.” The announcer called and Allie’s family made her feel part of a real family at last.
“Allie Summers.” Again the cheers came from the audience.
As they gathered outside after the ceremony, Allie’s family hugged both girls.
“We’re all very proud of you two young ladies,” Alison said wrapping her arms around both girls. “Grandpa and I are going to head back to the house with Billy and June to get the food ready for the party.” Alison kissed their cheeks and left Allie and Ellen alone with her family.
“Well, girls, are you both excited to start a life without school?” Annabelle asked.
“I’m nervous to see if anyone wants to read what I write, but yes very excited.” Allie admitted.
“I am looking forward to the next chapter in my life,” Ellen said with a smile at Allie.
“Come on, girls we better get going.” Stan ushered them out of the stadium and toward the car.
Ellen leaned over to Allie once they were seated in the back seat of the car. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine,” Allie said forcing a smile.
The party was in full swing, when Ellen knew that she was going to have to tell Allie tonight about the phone call she received yesterday.
“Is this Ellen Green?” The caller asked.
“Yes.”
“This is Kevin Harkins of the FBI.”
“Hello, Mr. Harkins,” Ellen said now feeling the pounding in her chest.
“We would be very happy to welcome you into the FBI.”
“Oh, thank you, sir. I’m so pleased to hear that.”
“Now we know you just graduated and you’ll need to find an apartment and such. So we would like to report to Quantico two weeks from today.”
Ellen walked over and took Allie’s hands. “Can we take a walk?” El
len wanted to speak with Allie in private. “I love you, Allie.” She said once they were away from everyone and took a deep breath. “I got a phone call yesterday.” Ellen swallowed and then met Allie’s eyes.
“Just tell me, Ellen.” Allie looked at the floor unable to meet Ellen’s eyes.
Ellen sat next to her. “I got a call from the FBI.” Allie’s eyes opened wide. “They want me to come work for them.”
“Where?” Allie asked softly.
“Virginia.”
“You’re going to be an FBI field agent?”
Ellen came over to Allie and took her hand. “No. It’s putting all my years of math into catching criminals.”
“I just found you, Ellen and now you’re leaving me,” she said turning her back to Ellen.
Ellen wrapped her arms around Allie. “I’m not leaving you. I want you to come with me.”
“I can’t do that, Ellen,” she said stepping out of Ellen’s embrace. “We’ve only been a couple for a few days. I can’t just pack up and move in with you.”
“Why not?”
“Number one, I can’t afford to do that.”
“I’ll be making enough money to support us both.”
“Ellen, I can’t let you do that.”
“Allie, we may only be a couple for a few days, but I’ve been in love with you for years. And from what you’ve told me, it’s been the same for you. So I don’t see a problem.” Ellen took Allie’s hand. “You can write anywhere. You’ll write while I’m at work and we can spend our evenings together.”
“You make it sound so easy,” Allie said looking at Ellen finally.
“It is. I wasn’t lying when I told you that you touched my soul, Allie.”
“When are you leaving?” Allie asked.
“I have to report in two weeks, but I have to get an apartment and a car.”
“I need time, Ellen.”
“I understand, Allie. I do, but know that I want you with me.” Ellen’s hand went to Allie’s cheek. “Let me show you how much,” she said as she kissed Allie’s lips.
Their lovemaking that night was slow and soft. There was no urgency because they both felt that it might be awhile before they were in each other’s arms again.
The next morning Allie drove Ellen to the train station. Ellen had to go buy a car and contact an agent to find her an apartment. As much as she begged Allie to come with her, the more she refused. Ellen boarded the train wondering if Allie’s pride would keep them apart. She knew one thing for sure, she was not going to give Allie up without a fight.
Ellen spent the night in the room she had rented and packed a bag the next morning. She was taking the train to Virginia and made arrangements to meet a realtor after she found a used car. The car she ended up buying was ten years old, but in good shape. Next on her list was an apartment close to work.
“Hi, I’m Ellen Green,” she said to the receptionist. “I’m supposed to meet Maryann Winters.”
“Have a seat, please and I’ll let Maryann know you’re here.”
Maryann came out of the back and smiled with her hand out to Ellen. “I’m happy to meet you, Ellen.”
“It’s nice to meet you too, Maryann. Thanks for lining up showings on such short notice.”
“No problems. I’m going to take you over to a building that houses half the FBI.” Maryann chuckled. “Around here, we call it the safest building in the area.”
Maryann drove them over to the building and the apartment was on the second floor facing the back. Ellen walked in and took notice to the open area of the apartment. The living room was a nice size and the dining area was suitable for a table to seat four people. The kitchen though small was adequate to make a meal. The bedroom wasn’t very large, but a queen size bed would fit nicely and the bathroom was clean. Once Maryann told Ellen what the rent was, she walked back through the apartment trying to decide if Allie would like it.
“Is there a laundry facility?” Ellen asked.
“Yes, downstairs and parking for one car and guest parking.”
“I’ll take it,” Ellen said with a smile.
Maryann laughed. “That was easy. By the way, it’s only ten minutes to work from here.”
“It’s perfect, Maryann. Can you recommend any thrift or used furniture stores?” Ellen asked.
“Sure. When we get back to the office, I’ll give you a list of stores to try.”
They went back to the office where Ellen signed the lease and handed over another check. Her bank account was dwindling as every check was written, but she felt excited in the fact that she now had her first apartment. An apartment that she hoped Allie would share with her.
Ellen went to one of the stores that Maryann had suggested and picked out a bedroom set, living room set and small dining room table. She made arrangements to have the furniture delivered the next day and went back to the motel room she had rented.
“Hi,” Ellen said when Allie picked up the phone.
“Hey,” Allie said softly. “Where are you?”
“Virginia. I rented an apartment, bought furniture and a car.”
“Wow, that was fast,” Allie said trying to make Ellen feel good.
“I believe you’ll like the apartment, Al. It’s big enough for the two of us and half the building works for the FBI,” she said with a laugh. Allie didn’t respond. “How is the writing coming along?”
“Slowly.” Allie answered.
“That’s because you’re distracted.” Again Allie didn’t respond. “Do you want some more distractions?”
“What do you mean?”
“My furniture is being delivered tomorrow and I want to drive back to North Carolina after that.”
“Why?” Allie asked not understanding.
“You goof. To spend a week with you before I have to come back here for work.”
Allie finally smiled. “I’d like that,” she said, but she knew she was going to be heartbroken once Ellen left.
“Then I’ll see you in a few days. I love you, Allie. Remember that.”
“I love you too, Ellen.”
****
“Mom, Ellen is coming back in a few days to spend a week. Is that okay?” Allie asked her mother.
“Of course, Allie. We all love Ellen. Is she all settled in Virginia?”
“Her furniture is being delivered tomorrow.” Allie shrugged. “So I guess so.”
Alison walked in the back door. “Hello, you two. I made soup and brought you a couple of containers.”
“Thanks, mom. How about a cup of coffee?” Annabelle asked.
“Yes, please,” Alison said taking a seat at the table. She looked at Allie. “How’s Ellen?”
“Good. She’ll be here in a couple of days.”
“That’s wonderful, Allie. I can’t believe she’s going to work for the FBI,” Alison said with a smile.
“Ellen is very smart grandma.”
“I’m sure she is, but that is a very prestigious job. Especially for a woman in this day and age.”
“Gran, she’s not going to be out in the field with a gun or anything,” Allie said with a chuckle.
“I know that, dear. You’re young, but it wasn’t that long ago that jobs like that only went to men.” Alison added touching Allie’s hand thoughtfully. “How’s the writing?”
“Slow.”
“You need to sit down and work on your story. Write what you feel and people will want to read what you wrote,” Alison insisted. It had been that way when she began writing her and Belle’s story. It wasn’t just words on a page, but her thoughts and feelings.
“I have an outline finished and it’s just a matter of turning that outline into a book.” Allie rubbed her hand around an imaginary stain. “I just don’t know if I have the talent to make a living at what I want to do.” Allie finally admitted out loud.
Annabelle spoke up. “I read the stories you wrote for class. I believe you have the talent, Allie. Don’t give up on yourself.”
Al
lie nodded. “I hope you’re right.” She went upstairs to her room and her typewriter.
Allie spent the next two days writing. Her fingers flew over the keyboard as her thoughts came to life. By the end of the second day, she was exhausted from writing non-stop. She took a shower and changed her clothes.
“Mom, I’m going to go into town for a while. I’m going to Floyds and clear my head.”
“Honey, do you have to clear your head in a bar?” Annabelle asked.
“I’m not going to get drunk, mom. I just want to get away from writing for a couple of hours. I’ll be home by nine.” Allie insisted.
Allie walked into Floyd’s and took a seat at the bar. She ordered a beer and looked around. She saw her friends Matt and David sitting at a table. She picked up her beer and walked over.
An hour after Allie left the house, Ellen pulled into the driveway. She went up the steps and knocked on the door.
“Ellen,” Annabelle said taking Ellen into her arms. “Welcome, dear.”
“Thank you, Mrs. Summers,” Ellen said with a smile.
“Please call me Annie. You’re a college graduate now and working for the FBI.”
“Well not yet I’m not. Is Allie here?” Ellen asked looking around the house.
“Oh, dear she went into town for a while. She’s been working on her book for days and needed some time away from writing.” Annabelle took her by the arm. “Why don’t you get settled upstairs and come down for a cup of coffee. Are you hungry?”
“No thank you. I ate on the road. Coffee sounds great.” Ellen carried her bag upstairs and walked into Allie’s room. She saw the typewriter and the papers that sat next to it. Ellen picked up Allie’s outline wanting to read it, but couldn’t without Allie’s permission. She laid the paper back down and unpacked her bag.
Ellen walked into the kitchen and Annabelle put a cup of coffee in front of her.
“How was your drive?” Annabelle asked.
“Not too bad. I drove pretty much straight through. Only stopped once to go to the bathroom and eat something.”
“Anxious to get here?” Annabelle asked with a grin.
Ellen looked down. “Yes.” she whispered softly.
