Then he is undoing his belt, causing her to squirm and cry. “Peas no.” But her plea is ignored because he is undoing his jeans and pulling his dick out.

“Boss said I was only to deliver a message and leave. That I couldn’t have you, but fuck that. There was no way I could pass up this chance. I have been watching you, and now I get to have you.”

“Boss isn’t going to like it.”

“Why is he calling him the new guy?” Tex asks. “Surely he didn’t join them.”

“It would appear so,” Gunner seethes.

“I haven’t seen him since that shit in church on Wednesday,” Pop says. “I’ll ask Stella, but if he sent this video intentionally, it would make sense to me to get out of dodge.”

“I think you may be right about that, Colt. What is going to be the repercussion of this choice that he made?” Axle asks the room.

“I have every intention of putting him to the ground,” I threaten, giving no fucks about what everyone thinks about it.

“You can’t do that, Crow. He’s still your brother,” Pop says.

“I can and I will. He is dead to me already, and soon he will be dead to the rest of the world.”

“Crow, be reasonable, think about what it would do to your mother.”

“He is a fucking traitor, Pop. Not only did he do that shit with Cleo, not only did he stand by while the love of my fucking life got her ass beat into the ground— ask yourself how they even know about her, Pop. All of those are fucked up by themselves. But I am wondering how many of those missing people he was involved in. I guess it makes a little bit of sense as to why they were taking people from Fallen. Home court advantage.”

  “Crow,” he sighs.

“No, Pop, he is hurting people. He has to be stopped.”

“I know that, Crow, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it.”

“You think I do? That I wanted his ass to be rabid? That I set out in life to end my baby brother? I’m not the monster here, Pop, Dec is.”

“You guys ready to watch the last of it?” Gunner asks. We both nod.

“You don’t know shit about us, New Guy.”

“NOO!” Reagan is screaming as he comes up behind her.

“Keep fighting, baby, it makes my cock harder.” He is pressing his dick against her asshole, making her fight once again. She’s getting tired, though.

She screams as he digs his knife into her leg making the vertical line of the “T” about six inches long, and digs the knife into her leg again to make the horizontal line. He rubs his dick all over her cuts, coating himself in her blood.

“Well, would you look at that? I got some lube after all. Truth be told, I was wanting to take you dry so you could feel everything. I know, I’m a giver.” He is behind her pushing over and over. He pulls back and drives hard all the way in, when she screams I have to look away from her, I can’t watch this happen to her.

How in the hell could I even suggest that she set this up in an elaborate scheme to get to me? I’m disgusted that I could even think that.

“So tight. No one ever touched you here?”

  “Do you like that, baby?”

  “You feel so good.”

“I may need to come back for more.”

  “Would you like that, baby?”

“You going to come for me?”

  “Come with me, baby.”

  “I’m so close.”

“Here it comes, baby.” He pumps in and out of her until he nuts. “Reagan, baby. That was so good. Did you enjoy it? We should definitely do this again. New Guy, do you want a piece of this?”

“Like I want my dick anywhere near a nasty-ass King has been.”

Reagan lays there lifeless until he pulls out his phone, taking a picture of her. “For proof the message was delivered. Oh, right. The message.” He throws a wadded-up piece of paper. “Make sure they get that message or I will be back.”

The room is silent, as if they are scared to speak. Scared to face what has just shaken the very foundation that our lives and our world had been built upon. How can one rogue brother have the ability to shake so many to their core?

  “We done, Gun?”

“Yeah, man. Go be with your girl.”

“Pop. Not a word about this. She wants to have a normal Christmas for Jordan and all of us, I’ll tell her after.”

  “Okay.”

  Chapter 12

  Reagan

“Fo’ weels?! It wooks jus’ wike you’s bike, Daddy!” Jordan gushes looking at the Power Wheels Harley sitting in the front yard.

“It’s super cool, little man. Now we can ride together.”

  “Wight now?”

“As long as Moma says it’s okay.”

  “Moma, pwease?”

“I don’t know, J,” I say to tease him, but seeing his face drop immediately has a knot forming in my throat. I crouch down on his level and pull him into my arms. “I was just kidding, baby. I want nothing more than for you to be able to ride beside your Daddy.”

“Thanks, Moma! You’s da best!” He starts to pull away from me, but I pull him right back in. His brow furrows and he looks at me in confusion.

I bring my mouth next to his ear and whisper, “See if Pop wants to ride with you, too.” When he pulls his head back to make eye contact with me, I wink at him.

He smiles back and gives me his adorable double wink. “Pop, you’s wanna goes, too?”

“Yeah, Pop, let’s teach little man how to ride like a Greene.”

“Now that sounds like an offer I can’t refuse,” Colt answers as he goes to stand next to Jordan.

“Woo-hoo! Wet’s bwow dis popysicy stand, den, a’cause I’s needs to be safe with Wavey,” J says, making the men chuckle and the women groan.

Jordan throws me a look over his shoulder. “You’s go in, Moma.”

  “I can’t watch?”

He shakes his head. “You’s make me’s nerbus.”

I chuckle at his butchering of nervous, but he just said an ‘R'! Fangirl cheering in my head right now. “Okay, baby, I’ll go in, but you need to do anything and everything Daddy and Pop tell you. Unless they tell you to play in the street. Don’t do that. Just scream out ‘STRANGER DANGER!’ and come get me, okay?” I tell him as I hear snickers behind me.

“Stranger danger? Really? You don’t think that is a touch excessive?” Crow says, rolling his eyes.

  “Excessive? Not in the slightest.”

“Nothing is excessive when it comes to a mother protecting her child,” Stella backs me up, making pain slash across Crow’s face. I make a mental note to ask him about it later.

He comes strutting up to me and grips my hips, pulling me close enough to drop his forehead on mine. “I would never do something to hurt him, babe,” he whispers just for me.

“I know that, my love. It was just a joke, but as parents, there will always be teaching moments and you have to take advantage when they arise.”

“I don’t like the thought of being a stranger to him.”

  “Come’s on, Daddy!”

I smile. “How could you ever be a stranger to someone who calls you Daddy? I love you with everything I am, Kane, and I would venture to say that that little boy feels the exact same way. You are a giant—literally and figuratively—that brings light and happiness—”

Crow’s lips slam down on mine and he shoves his tongue in my mouth to graze along mine. My fingers reach up to thread in his hair but he suddenly breaks the kiss, smirking.

“I love you, babe. More than I thought one person could ever love another. I am so glad I crossed your path when I did. I can’t wait to marry you.”

“Soon. I want to be married to you so bad, I don’t care if we have to do it at the clubhouse or the courthouse. I have never wanted a big ceremony, just me, you, and the people we love the most.”

“You know that includes the club, right?”

  “I’m okay with that.”

“There is something we need to t
alk about first though.”

My stomach drops a little. “Okay…”

“We will talk later, okay?” I nod just before he drops another kiss on my motionless lips and walks back over to Jordan and Colt.

“Finawee,” Jordan huffs, making everyone laugh. Everyone but me because I am too busy fretting over what apparently has the ability to ruin what we have.

Did he actually cheat this time? Does he not want this with Jordan and me? Does he still think Peanut isn’t his? Or maybe he thinks that I am damaged goods? We have only had sex once—and not for lack of me trying. I don’t know what else it could be. We have been solid since we got back together.

I am going out of my mind thinking about the potential destruction his revelation could provoke. God, I need a fucking drink. Stupid pregnancy and the no drinking “recommendations”. My hands and eyes drop to my stomach, “I didn’t mean that, Peanut. You are so loved already.”

“Were your thoughts that fucked up?” Stella asks from beside me.

“Son of a bitch, Stella. You scared the shit out of me. I’m going to put a bell on your shoes or something,” I say and rub my chest, willing my heart rate to slow.

“Not sure that would have worked, Rea,” Stella says from my other side. “We were talking when we walked up to you, girl.”

“What’s with the tears, Rea?” Sasha asks.

“Do I need to kick his ass? I’ll do it, I like you more than him,” Stella says, bringing a smile to my face.

“You hear that, Crow? Ma likes Rea more than she likes you!” Skylar taunts.

“It’s understandable,” he calls back from the curb with a wink.

“How about we get some coffee,” Sasha suggests.

  “Yes, let’s,” Stella agrees.

“I would love some tea. I think I even have some Twinnings in the cabinet.”

“Ooh, me, too,” Skylar declares and threads her arm through mine, leading me into the house behind Stella and Sasha. “Tell me, Rea, do you drink Twinnings because of the 50 Shades series? I have to admit that was what drew me to try it the most. Hot tea with cream just sounded off, but is delicious.”

“Uh… no, weirdo. Grams was born in England and lived there until she was twenty-five, Twinnings was the only tea she would drink. I wasn’t aware that she was a tea tyrant until I fucked up one day and brought home Lipton tea bags. I thought that she was going to break out some MI-6 torture techniques.”

  “MI-6?”

“It’s like the CIA for Europe.”

“Oh. So what did my brother’s stupid face say this time?” She asks changing the subject.

“His face isn’t stupid, it’s very useful if you know what I mean,” I say and bounce my eyebrows.

“That’s just… ew and too much damn information, Rea,” she snaps once her dry-heaving stops.

“You should see your face though!” I exclaim through hard giggles.

“Rea, your phone is ringing!” Sasha calls out.

I sober a little and dry my face. “I’ll be right there! Since he doesn’t want me out here, would you mind getting some pictures of the three of them riding together? Send them to me, yeah?”

  “I got you.”

“Thanks,” I call over my shoulder as I rush to get to my phone in the living room. And as always, the second I pick it up it stops ringing. Tapping on the missed call icon and seeing that it was Rotti-Protect, I immediately return the call.

It rings one, two, three times before someone answers. “Hello?”

“Hello, this is Reagan Marks, I just had a missed call from this number?”

“Hi, Reagan, this is Mary-Anne with Rotti-Protect. I am so sorry to bother you on Christmas Day but I have a bit of a situation on my hands and I was wondering if maybe you could help me out?”

“No worries. I will if I can,” I say with a furrowed brow.

“I know you purchased Dean, but I have another dog available, his name is Sam. I have sent him to live with two separate families but he keeps getting sent back for not performing.”

“I can see why that would be an issue,” I reply. Why the hell would I want a dog that doesn’t perform? Surely this woman doesn’t think I’m stupid? I may have been born at night but I can assure you it wasn’t last fucking night.

“Right? The problem is when the families brought him back to me, he behaved the way we trained him to act.”

“Okay… then what is the problem?”

“We have come to the conclusion that Sam cannot do his job without Dean. I was hoping I could convince you to take Sam, too.”

  “Oh, um…”

“I wouldn’t charge you for him, I just really think it will be best if they stay together,” Mary-Anne rushes to add.

“It’s not about the money… We have some stuff going on right now and I am not in a position that I can take either one of them. I was hoping for next week but I can’t guarantee anything.

“In the interest of keeping the Winchester boys together, I think it will be best to go with a different customer. There was a couple in here the other day who wanted him,” she muses to herself.

  “Winchester Boys?”

“Oh,” she chuckles. “I give all of my animals character names and I’m a big fan of Supernatural.”

  “That’s clever.”

“I can give you credit on the litter that is due in the next month or so. Is that something you would be open to?”

  “Yes, ma’am.”

“Okay, I will email the delivery details of the next litter once I have more concrete information.”

  “Sounds good. Merry Christmas, Mary-Anne.”

“You, too, Reagan,” she says and ends the call.

“Everything okay?” Stella asks coming to sit with me on the couch.

“Yeah, I just had to forfeit the dog I was going to have here for protection.”

  “Why?”

“She has this dog that keeps getting sent back for not performing. They have decided that it only will perform if the dog that I purchased is near. She wanted me to take them both, I wanted to, but with this lockdown, it wouldn’t be fair to them to be here alone.” I sigh. “Any word on how long this lockdown is going to last?”

“I have no idea, Novia. Is she going to give you a refund?”

“No, she is just going to give me one out of the next litter.”

  She nods. “That’s cool.”

  “Yeah.”

“Come on, your tea is ready,” she says, pulling me to my feet. “So, why were you crying outside?”

“Crow said that he couldn’t wait to marry me,” I pause.

“And that made you cry? You do know that is what you agreed to when he slid that ring on your finger, right?”

I chuckle and give her the finger. “Yes, Stella, I’m not that slow on the uptake.”

  “Then what’s wrong?”

“I told him that I wanted it to be soon and he said he had something he needed to talk to me about first. I really can’t keep doing this push and pull thing, Stella, I’m not strong enough. I know I can put up a good front but that man can break me with just a flick of his tongue.”

“Rea, I can’t imagine he would mess up this time. He has too much to lose. Maybe what he has to tell you isn’t as bad as you’re thinking?”

“I know you’re probably right, it’s just these damn hormones. I feel like I’m in one of those ‘this is your brain on drugs’ commercials from the late ‘80’s. You know what I’m talking about?”

“I remember the first time I saw the fried egg one—I had just had Crow—and I was convinced that people coming in contact with him after they had smoked some pot was going to fry my precious baby boy’s brain! I offended so many people that we consider close friends and family that I legit thought that either Colt was going to kick my loco ass to the curb or he was going to allow them to flog me! Not in a good way either,” she says with a wink.

I laugh so hard I snort. “I don’t think fried brains work that wa
y, Stella.”

“You think I don’t know that, wise-ass? I grew up in a fucking cartel for crying out loud!”

“You’re too much, you know that, right?”

“Got you out of your funk though, didn’t it?”

“Yeah, I guess it did,” I say as my cell vibrates in my lap. I get excited when I see who it is.

“I’ll leave you alone so you can get that,” Stella offers and I nod.

  Nicole: Merry Christmas, bitch.

Me: Merry Christmas! I miss your face.

Nicole: Of course you do, my face is fucking awesome. Some might even say it’s my best attribute, not Asher though, he’s more of an ass man.

Me: Must dishearten him that you don’t have one.

Nicole: Bitch, it’s better than yours.

Me: Whatever you need to tell yourself. Are you having a good Christmas?

Nicole: I am. I hung out with my parents this morning while Asher is with his and we plan to get together tonight.

Me: So things are going well with you two?

Nicole: I really like him, Rea. I thought we would just have some fun and go our separate ways, but he seems to keep sticking.

Me: That’s a good thing, girl.

Nicole: Maybe… I don’t know. I guess only time will tell. So what’s new with you and J? Still on lockdown or whatever?

Me: Yes, we are still on lockdown. I had the ‘I’m your Moma’ talk with Jordan and told him about the baby.

Nicole: How did he take it?

Me: When we told him that Crow was the daddy, he asked if Crow would be his daddy, too.

Nicole: What did Crow say to that?

Me: That he wanted nothing more than to be his daddy.

Nicole: Looks like the asshole can say nice things from time to time.

  Me: Be nice.

Nicole: Not a chance in hell, Reagan! He did you fucking dirty on more than one occasion.

Me: I’m not saying that you and him have to be biffles, but he isn’t going anywhere.

Nicole: Whatever you say. Give it a couple of weeks and you will be off again.

Me: It’s not a game that we are playing here, Nicole, he is it for me. I don’t want to be without him, I have known the whole time we have been together. I’m not some spineless, brainless twit who sets out to be walked all over and if you think I am, fuck you very much.
