Forget Cinderella (True Loves Fairytale Book 1)

Jordan doesn’t move his eyes away from mine when he leans in close between my legs. I can feel his breath on my lady parts as he lets out a deep sigh. I watch as he slowly licks my clit. Oh wow.
“Jordan, please,” I beg. I’m no longer worried about begging. He makes his movements slowly. His tongue is soft against my clit, and the movements of his fingers are barely moving in and out of me.
After what feels like an eternity I can’t take this torture any longer. The little sparks that are building inside my body are driving me insane.
“Jordan, PLEASE!” I beg loudly this time. I’m practically panting, and I need more. Jordan lightly nips my clit. I watch as he pulls away from playing with that little bundle of nerves. He quickly reaches around me and pulls me off of the couch and onto his lap.
Jordan’s fingers start to move faster inside of me. I lean into him and kiss him with the same tenacity of his fingers. Instinct takes control of my body, and I begin to rock my hips. He hits that spot deep inside me, and I almost come undone.
My body feels like it’s going to burst into flames, and I begin to chase those little fireworks that begin to go off. Our tongues begin to dance in the same movements as his fingers. The kiss helps and before long I’m gone. A big burst of pleasure radiates through me. My legs are slightly shaking, and I practically still my hips, but Jordan continues his assault until I’m completely spent.
“Pretty girl, do you realize how beautiful you are when you cum?” Huh? Is he really asking me a question now? I just shake my head no. “Then just so you know. I find watching you come undone pretty pleasing because to me you’re extremely beautiful.”
I feel myself blush as I’m wrapped in Jordan’s arms and notice the undeniable bulge in his pants. Here I have gotten off, and he has not. I reach my hand between us and run it over his erection. Before I’m able to repeat the motion, Jordan grabs my hand. I’m shocked that he stopped me.
“Why can’t I touch you?” I sound like a scolded child, but then again I practically am.
“I need you to trust me when I say not yet. Not until I know you are healed.”
“Why?” I ask again.
“I have my reason’s Cara, please trust me.” I want to ask him more. I want to know if him not wanting me to touch him has more reasons than what he’s telling me.
Jordan
I have to stay in control here. I want more than anything to let her touch me, but the problem is I won’t be in control the moment I give in. I hate the look on her face. I want more than anything to give her what she wants. The bigger issue is I don’t deserve her.
I watch as Cara climbs off my lap and puts on her panties. If I weren’t such a gentleman, I would have taken them from her. She proceeds to sit on the couch. One second she looks sated and happy, the next I watch as her face drops.
“Jordan, I should have told you what happened at Planner Plus before we…um...” She seems to be struggling to tell me what I already know.
“Cara, just tell me what happened.” I want to give her the opportunity to tell me so I know how to proceed.
“I knew what was coming. They made my contract clear, that my job was temporary and I had been looking for another job. I was hoping to have something lined up before I lost my job. I mean, Heather gave me a nice severance package, so I do have some money, but I’m sorry I didn’t want to be a burden to you.” I can see the tears forming, and it breaks my heart.
“I know, you told Heather that you were staying with me. She told me yesterday what was going to happen. I’m okay with this Cara. You will never be a burden to me. I want to have you around. We got this, remember?” She just quietly says yes. We leave the office and head back to my house to relax.
CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE
Cara
Wednesday ended with us spending time relaxing. Jordan told me on Thursday that we had a meeting Friday after my appointment with the doctor. I asked who I was meeting with, and he told me, Judge Winters and Hanna. I was told that he still wanted to personally thank me.
After lunch, the doorbell rang. Jordan had told me that no matter what while he was home that I wasn’t allowed to open the door. There was still no information on Travis, so my safety was top priority. I watched as Jordan brought an officer into the house. I hadn’t gone to the police station to give my statement, and I think I was long overdue.
“Cara let me introduce you to Officer Matt Donavin. He’s here to get your side of what happened.” Great this could be fun…not. We all sat down in the living room. Jordan took a seat next to me. I watched as Jordan and Officer Donavin exchanged telling looks. What I saw looked as though there was something they didn’t want to tell me.
“Cara I need you to explain to me what exactly happened last Friday.” I watched as Officer Donavin pulled out a small notepad and then a tape recorder. I turned to look at Jordan. I didn’t know I was going to be recorded.
“It’s okay Cara, he’s only recording for his records to make sure nothing about your side of the story is missed.” Jordan leans over and places a kiss on my forehead.
I explain to Officer Donavin what happened. I went to get the book from my car, and as I was retrieving it, I heard people talking. I mentioned that I was unnoticed at first, and I really didn’t care who was outside with me. It wasn’t until I realized that Hanna was one of the two people that I got upset. I explained that I was mad about her cheating on Jordan and how she froze saying nothing to me after I called out to her.
“Cara. Please continue,” Officer Donavin says, and I take in a deep breath.
“I remember him grabbing me and when I told Travis to let me go, he refused. I don’t know why I slapped him, but I did, and that’s when he punched me. I fell on my butt pretty hard. When I finally came around, I realized he was forcing Hanna into his truck. She fought him and then he pulled out a gun. I ran at him.” I continued to explain how we struggled and that my finger managed to get behind the trigger of the gun. Then Travis let go enough that my finger came loose. The gun went off, and Hanna must have screamed.
“I don’t really remember much after that. I think he said something to me and the last thing I saw was Jordan.” Matt kept taking notes and then pulled out his phone.
“Now Cara I need your permission to use these photos. They were taken of you while unconscious at the hospital.” He handed me the cell phone. I immediately handed the phone to Jordan.
“Cara, it’s okay you need to let him do his job.” Jordan smiled, and I forced the phone back at him.
“No, I’m okay with him using the pictures. I just would rather not see them. I saw what I looked like when I woke up, and I don’t need to see the before.” I excuse myself politely and left Jordan to handle anymore issues with Matt since I was no longer needed. I did not want to see the pictures or deal with them. I saw the images in the mirror, and that was upsetting to me, I didn’t need to add to it.
I woke up Friday morning to Jordan smiling at me. He told me that we needed to get up and eat. I had to be at the doctor’s office by 9:00 am and to his office around noon. Jordan was nice to help me in the shower. Nothing physical had happened since Wednesday and I was kind of okay with it. I let Jordan help me dry my hair and I decided to let the curls down. Then he left the bathroom. I realized I forgot to grab any clothes, and when I went into the bedroom, Jordan was rummaging through his closet.
“Cara, you have a lot of dresses. I think you should wear this one.” He was holding up my modest, but nice pink summer dress. I crossed my arms wondering why on earth he’s picking out my clothes.
“I can pick my clothes Jordan.” He just walked out of the closet and toward me.
“I know pretty girl, but trust me you might be thankful if you wore this one today.” I just shrugged my shoulders, gave in and I wore the pink dress. We ate a quick breakfast and then headed out to the doctor.
The appointment was simple. Dr. Crabtree looked at my fingers first. She told me to call her Cherry. I was told to keep
them wrapped until next week and we would go from there, but they seemed to be healing nicely. She gave me more of the pain medication I had been taking. I told her I would rather not take anything and that I was fine. However, she explained the reason my bruise (I hated that word) was fading beautifully had to do with the anti-inflammatory that was also an ingredient in the medication. I reluctantly gave in to the new prescription. As for my wrist, I was going to have to wait a few more weeks before she even wanted to look at it.
We scheduled an appointment for the following Friday and then headed to Jordan’s office, a little after 11:00 am. When we got there, Jordan stopped to talk with Maria and then we went into his personal office.
“Are they going to meet us in here?” Jordan smiled at me and then began to pace his office.
“No Cara, I asked Maria to take them into the conference room and then to let me know that they have arrived.” He looked worried. If we were only meeting Judge Winters and Hanna then what was the big deal.
“Is everything okay Jordan? Is there something I should know about Travis?” I started to rub the bandage over my fingers. Jordan walked to me and took hold of my hands.
“Don’t do that. I know you fidget when you’re nervous or upset. The Doctor…Um, Cherry said that the healing will make your fingers itch, and if you start this now you might cause an issue. And I need to tell you something.” Again he looked worried, and I was no longer liking this.
“What?”
“Judge Winters and Hanna are not coming alone.” That was all he said before his phone rang. “Time to go Cara.”
When he opened the door to the conference room, I expect to see maybe an extra person in there, not six extra people. One of them was a little girl. I saw Hanna next to an older man whom I suspected was her father, Judge Winters. Next to him was a beautiful older woman with long blond hair. There was a man sitting next her at the end of the table. He was older and looked similar to Judge Winters. He smiled at me when I looked at him. Then there was a man who looked to be about Jordan’s age with a woman and the child next to him. The last woman looked like a younger version of the woman with the long blond hair only hers was short.
Jordan placed his hand at the small of my back and walked me into the room then he shut the door behind us. Jordan greeted the people in the room. Judge Jethro Winters and Mr. Mason Winters. Mason was the man that smiled at me, and when Jordan said hello to him, he stood up and walked over to me. The entire room got really quiet, and I noticed everyone was watching us.
“Hello Cara Mia, you look just like your mother.” My heart was thumping loudly in my chest. No one is allowed to call me that.
“Only Momma called me that.” Why does he know that, how does he know that?
“I know Cara Mia, I helped name you. Do you remember me?” I stared at him and took a better look at his clothes. He was wearing a nice suit. I took a closer look, and his tie was pink. The same tie I remember the man at Momma’s funeral wore.
“You took me to see Momma at her funeral one last time.” He nodded at me with a big smile. “Who are you?”
“Cara Mia, I’m your father.” I almost fainted. Thank God Jordan didn’t take his hand off my back. I finally shook his hand. This man was my father, no way. I looked at Jordan for assistance, and he just stood there. He knew… he knew and never told me.
“You knew,” he just looked down in shame. “You knew and then lied to me. How could you?” Jordan proceeded to say something but Mr. Winters, my dad, interrupted.
“Cara Mia take a seat and do not blame Jordan. I asked him not to tell you so you can be mad at me.” I was being scolded , how dare he.
“Please do not call me Cara Mia.” I took a seat at the other end of the table. The woman next to my father took his hand. “You don’t get to play dad now. You had no part in my life.” I expected him to say something, but the woman next to him spoke.
“My name is Elizabeth. I would be your step-mom, Cara. As for your father having nothing to do with your life, you’re wrong. Do you know about your savings account?” I said yes. “Good, that money is there to help you, it was meant to help you while you were growing up. I know you don’t touch the money much. I realized that on your twenty-first birthday.”
“No one told me where the money came from I figured the less I touched it, the better. I worried the money never really belonged to me.” Jordan was looking at me with a puzzled expression.
“The money was meant for you, meant to send you to college or whatever else you needed. Your mother was the reason you did not grow up knowing him. Did she tell you about that?” I just shook my head no. “I’m not surprised. She told me first when she found out she was pregnant. Your mother explained to me that she was moving to Tucson with you and that if and she were meant to be, then your father and I couldn’t fix our problem. Your father had a relationship with your mother while we were separated.”
“So Momma did not have an affair.” I always wondered if I was a secret child.
“No, not exactly. Your mother told me to figure out my problems. If I couldn’t fix my marriage and that I was actually getting divorced then to find her, otherwise, back off. We ended up fixing things. I offered your mother some financial help and made it clear that I would like to see you. She told me that in the interest of things and my marriage that I keep myself distant.”
I listened as Mason told me about getting a paternity test even though he knew I was his. He even went as far as telling me how Momma wanted to just name me Cara, but he liked Cara Mia for the meaning. My name means “My Beloved” in Latin.
“Me and Momma got by just fine without you,” I said in a bratty kind of voice. Elizabeth shook her head.
“No you two didn’t, not a first. After your grandparents passed, your mother struggled. I drove to Tucson to talk with her. Gave your mother the money for the house you lived in and offered her a monthly allowance.” I looked at Elizabeth in shock.
“I thought Momma made good money with her photography.”
“She did Cara, but not enough. I gave her money for classes and five thousand a month to live off of.” Mason, my father, looked at Elizabeth in just as much shock as I did. “Yes I did, you trusted me so much and were busy with our children that you forgot to make things equal. Her mother would have struggled without the help, and she’s your daughter. By the way Cara, forgive me for not introducing your sibling Dominic, your older brother, and Bridgett, your sister.” My head was spinning I now have a dad, step-mom, and a half-brother and sister.
“Okay, hold on, Cara I would like to introduce you to my wife Cassandra, and my daughter Mikeala. Now you may continue Mother.” I looked at my now brother. Holy crap, I have a half-brother, a sister-in-law and is the little girl my niece? I just continued to openly stare at the little girl coloring in a book.
“Cara, that would make her your niece. Anyway, your father in one way or other helped your mother out. I just thought that you were his child and shouldn’t have to want for anything.” I smiled at her. I did grow up nicely.
“Thank you.” I was still struggling in some form to grasp all that was happening.
“Mom, you mentioned her twenty-first birthday. Is my mom right you’re twenty-one?” The young woman, my sister Bridgett asked me.
“Yes, I turned twenty-one on Valentine’s Day.” I was curious what the big deal was about me being twenty-one.
“Dad, she’s our sister that means she has a stake in the law firms.” Dominic was talking to Mason. I was getting dizzy trying to keep up.
“I’ve already taken care of it,. She just needs to sign the papers I brought.” Elizabeth butted in.
“WAIT! Can someone please explain what’s going on? I don’t want a stake in anything.” I had to get someone’s attention.
“Cara Mia since you are my daughter by blood you get one percent of the profits from the law firm. That includes the offices in Phoenix, Miami, LA, New York and Vegas.” He was talking about money. Huh.
r /> “That would mean you’re owed for the last two months on top of the April payout.” Dominic was talking, and I was hardly listening. I did not want the money.
“I…I don’t want any money. I have nothing to do with these law firms.” I was starting to freak out.
“Just being our sister means you have something. There’s nothing that states you have to work at one of the companies, just means if something big needs to go down we have a say in the situation.” Bridgett was calm when she spoke, and I still wanted nothing to do with the money. I got up quickly and almost ran out the door.
“Cara Mia stop.” I hated when my so-called father called me by my name, but hearing the words come out of Jordan’s mouth lit my entire body on fire. I not only liked hearing my name in his voice, I loved how it rolled off his tongue. My name never sounded sexier. Jordan grabbed me by my arm and took me into his office. Once inside he shut the door and wrapped his arms around me.
“Why did you hide your full name, Cara Mia?” He needed to stop talking and just continue to say my name over and over. I was lost.
“Momma was the only one who I let call me Cara Mia. But I won’t lie, I like when you say it.”
“Well, I like your name Cara Mia, and I know what those words mean too. The name fits you perfectly my beloved.” I snuggled in closer to Jordan.
“What they were saying changes everything. I don’t want the money. I don’t want things to change.” I began to cry. I knew no matter what happened everything was going to be different.
“The money only changes you if you let it. Seems to me you have no choice, but to take what is rightfully yours. Your brother and sister seem to be persistent on you getting the money.” I looked up at Jordan.
“I guess I can accept the money, but now I can leave your house, and I don’t want to.”
“I never said you had to leave just because you came into money. All that means is we figure this out together. We got this.” Yeah, we got this, but now what happens? Hanna is my cousin and I think there’s some girl code stating that you don’t hookup with your best friends, sister’s or cousin’s ex-boyfriends. Which means no matter what I can’t have Jordan.
