Chosen for Their Use (Ventori Masters Book 4)

“Have you had your fun? If LeAuntiez doesn’t get his mouth on this sweet pussy soon, he’s going to throw himself out that window.” He reached under her and gently rotated the butt plug, which caused her to squirm against him. Such blissful torture.
“I’m done playing. For now.” She smiled into his eyes, her expression warm and welcoming. His heart flipped over and he knew he was doomed. If she refused their claim it would devastate him.
LeAuntiez walked over to them, his patience finally at an end. He took her from Bron and laid her back across the bed. Kneeling on the floor, he dragged her right to the edge of the mattress and spread her legs. Then he lowered his mouth to her waiting pussy and made a deep, satisfied sound as he began to feast.
Unable to just stand there and watch, Bron knelt at the side of the bed and turned her head toward him. He gently traced her lips with the tip of his tongue, doing everything he knew to slow himself down.
She shifted restlessly, trying to bring his mouth into better contact with her. “Kiss me,” she murmured.
“I am kissing you.” He brushed his lips over hers, but kept moving.
“I want your tongue in my mouth.”
His dominant nature surged and he caught her wrists, pinning them to the bed above her head. “Be still and take what I give you.”
She searched his gaze, then stopped moving and whispered, “Yes, Sir.”
He shifted both her wrists to one hand, so he could stroke her breasts while he kissed her. Her entire body was a sensual buffet. It was hard to decide what to sample first. His mouth finally settled over hers, but she remained still, soft, yet unresponsive.
Fine. He’d work for it, if that’s what she wanted. He nipped her bottom lip then licked away the sting. He eased just inside her lips and flicked his tongue against hers. She moaned, tugging against his hold. Or maybe it was something LeAuntiez did that made her moan. It didn’t matter. Something broke inside her and opened sweetly. She kissed him back, nearly wild with the sudden surge of passion.
Then his link with LeAuntiez vibrated and a staggering rush of emotions swept over him. He gasped against her lips. He’d known the scope of LeAuntiez’s power and he was still shocked by the consuming need.
Come. Her voice called in his mind. I need to come.
She was asking permission and it thrilled him. They had yet to establish that rule, but instinctively she’d asked.
Come, baby. We both want to feel it, LeAuntiez said before Bron could find the path back to her mind. But it didn’t matter. They were a team, a team with a mutual purpose, to pleasure their mate. She arched, breasts thrusting as she cried out against his mouth. Pleasure blasted across their mental connection, threatening to snap his control. He let go of her hands and franticly grabbed the base of his cock, squeezing tight until the urge to spill finally passed.
“My turn,” he said and traded places with LeAuntiez. He bent to her pussy, but only licked her for a few seconds before he was on the brink again. “I can’t wait.”
“Thank God,” was her only reply.
He draped her legs over his arms and positioned himself at her entrance.
LeAuntiez pulled his mouth away from her breast long enough to remind him, “I didn’t take the plug out, so go slowly.” Then he sealed his mouth over hers. Was he expecting her to scream?
Too far gone to puzzle through LeAuntiez’s motivation, Bron closed his eyes and whispered a prayer that he wouldn’t fail her now. Very slowly, he pushed into her slick heat. LeAuntiez’s warning had been justified. She was incredibly tight. He gritted his teeth and thumbed her clit, advancing by agonizing degrees.
She suddenly tore her mouth away from LeAuntiez and said, “Let me up. I want to watch.”
LeAuntiez did her one better. He slipped his arm beneath her shoulders and supported her in a semi-reclined position so she could see clearly what was happening between her legs. She watched Bron’s thick cock advance, disappearing into her tight pink core. The sight was starkly erotic, elemental. Knowing she was enjoying the view gave him the strength to go slowly.
Finally his entire length was inside her, and still he hesitated. She watched him, but he watched her. Her eyes went all wild and liquid, her lips parted as she panted for breath. She was the most beautiful female he’d ever seen.
“That feels so damn good,” she whispered, squeezing him with her inner muscles.
“Mine.” He hadn’t meant to make it sound quite so savage, but she met his gaze and smiled.
“I am yours,” she agreed. “But you are mine.” She turned and looked at LeAuntiez. “You’re both mine.” Then she grew even bolder, reaching for his cock and guiding it to her mouth. He had to bend his knees to align with her eager mouth, but he obviously didn’t care. She stroked the shaft with her hand, while her velvety lips encircled the top half. It would take practice and trust before she’d be able to swallow either one of them. Again, LeAuntiez didn’t seem to care about her lack of skill. His head was thrown back, expression rapturous.
Unable to stand it any longer, Bron drew back, savoring the snug grip of her soft pussy. Nothing felt like his mate, nothing ever could. He pushed back in, a little faster this time. She groaned around LeAuntiez’s cock. Neither one of them would last long. He could feel the burning urgency in LeAuntiez’s mind. What surprised him most was how brightly her fires burned. They’d been worried about frightening her, yet her emotions, her needs, were just as demanding as theirs.
Soon she was rocking up to meet his thrusts, each movement caused her breasts to shake. The enticing motion drew LeAuntiez’s attention and he lightly pinched her nipples, one side and then the other.
Bron kept a steady pace for as long as he could, which wasn’t long. Then he let go and pounded into her as carefully as possible while blinded by desire.
Come, love. Share your pleasure and it will take us with you. He beat LeAuntiez to the command this time.
She cried out sharply and slammed her hips up toward his. Her inner muscles rippled around his cock, demanding his release. Before he could fully register her physical reactions, her emotions poured into his mind. Sizzling, consuming, yet achingly sweet, he wanted to stand there and bask in her beauty, but his body wouldn’t allow him to wait.
He threw his head back and yelled as pulse after pulse of sensation overcame him. His cock bucked and spurted deep inside her, bathing the entrance to her womb with his seed.
LeAuntiez was half a second behind, holding her face between his hands, his hips flexed as he came down her throat. She sounded almost distressed for a second, then her eyes closed and she sucked, licked, and swallowed until the last shudder passed. LeAuntiez looked shaken, but replete.
Very slowly, he pulled out of her mouth, then collapsed onto the bed, perpendicular to her.
“If this is just a practice run,” she murmured sleepily, “I think the real thing might kill me.”
Bron was still inside her, but she didn’t seem in a hurry for him to pull out.
“If you’d started this in a better position, we could have snuggled up and slept like this.” She squeezed him with her core to make sure he knew what she meant.
“I’ll keep that in mind for next time.” Next time. Had there ever been two sweeter words?
With utter reluctance, he separated their bodies and joined them on the bed. All three lay on top of the covers, unconcerned with their nudity.
She snuggled up against Bron’s side. LeAuntiez scooted around and pressed himself against her back, one arm wrapped around her waist.
“Can I ask a question?” she asked some time later.
“As long as you remain respectful, you may always ask questions,” he told her, automatically falling into his role as pod leader.
“That’s a relief. Actually, this question is for LeAuntiez.” She rolled to her back so she could see them both. “Have you questioned Roberta Nunez? I heard that you’d captured her a couple of weeks back. Is that true?”
“It is, and
she has been interrogated repeatedly.” LeAuntiez glanced at Bron, obviously confused by the tangent.
“If this Zapt person you’re searching for was working with Roberta, I bet she knows where he’s hiding. The females always know. We’re sneaky like that.”
“Thus the reason for the repeated interrogations.” He was sounding a bit wary, though his features remained calm.
“Has everyone who interrogated her been non-human?”
“There are no humans in the Protectorate.” Even his expression was starting to reflect his defensiveness.
“I’m not in the Protectorate, but I’m pretty sure I’m human.”
“You’re being sassy,” Bron concluded. “Watch your tone.”
“Sorry.” She paused and took a deep breath. “Then everyone who questioned her was also male?”
“What are you getting at?” Bron prompted. “Just spit it out.”
“If a female spends some time with her, figures out a way to earn her trust, maybe Roberta will confide in her.”
“That could take weeks, even months,” LeAuntiez objected. “We don’t have that sort of time.”
“Stress has a way of condensing time. If I convinced her it was a matter of life and death, I could—”
“Wait a minute. When did this theoretical woman suddenly become you?”
“Nunez is a cold-blooded killer, Kyla. There is no way you’re getting in the same room with her,” LeAuntiez reinforced Bron’s objection.
“So put up a force field or something. I’ve seen your ships, remember? I know you can do things like that. And I even have the perfect excuse. Dr. Baytor is trying to figure out what they did that left behind some sort of marker in the blood of three of the females.”
“I’m aware,” Bron grumbled.
“So we tell her he’s hit the wall and offer to trade her freedom for information.”
Bron started to object, but she shushed him. Shocked by her boldness, he just stared at her.
“You can lie to a liar and it doesn’t count. Everyone knows that.” When he didn’t immediately shoot her down, she shrugged, trying to downplay how badly she wanted to do it. Thanks to their newly formed link, he could sense her anticipation, her excitement. “We lose nothing by trying.”
He hated to put her anywhere near danger, even with an energy barrier separating them. “If LeAuntiez keeps searching in the meantime, I guess I’ll allow it.”
She pushed up with her elbow and kissed his mouth. “Thank you. I’ll make sure you don’t regret it.
Trouble was, he already did.
* * *
The next few days passed in a dizzying flurry of pleasure and frustration. LeAuntiez spent his mornings in futile and exasperating pursuit of Zapt. The former minister was like smoke. No sooner would LeAuntiez, or one of his Brokvata, catch a glimpse of the illusive Zapt than he would disappear on the wind. LeAuntiez was starting to think Zapt had left the star system and his followers were leaving false trails to keep the Brokvata occupied.
Worse than his failure to find Zapt was his inability to locate Erin. Kyla had stopped asking if he’d heard anything new. She must figure if he had news he would tell her, but the disappointment and fear in her beautiful green eyes tore at his heart.
He strode through the corridor of Protectorate Headquarters, desperately needing the calming council of his podmate. It was near enough to dark that he should be able to convince Bron to abandon his responsibilities for the rest of the night so they could focus on courting Kyla.
Just the thought of Kyla sent desire sizzling through LeAuntiez’s system. Each time he joined with her, the need to claim her was stronger. He no longer sensed any fear from her, but uncertainty still rippled from time to time. He sighed. They were expecting a lot from her. Their concepts of courtship were very different from hers.
He rounded a corner and headed toward Bron’s office.
“What the fuck is wrong with you!” Bron’s angry voice echoed down the hall. “There are seven security checkpoints between the shuttle bay and the hold. How did a thief bypass all that security?”
A moment of silence followed then a ceramic mug flew through the doorway and smashed against the wall on the far side of the corridor.
LeAuntiez jogged the last few paces, curious and concerned about Bron’s uncharacteristic behavior. Everyone knew Bron had a hot temper, but he had to be extremely upset to throw things.
Cautiously peeking around the corner, LeAuntiez made sure he wasn’t going to be pelted by flying objects before he entered the office.
Bron had just terminated the com-link. He stood and slammed his chair into his desk. “Fucking rebels! Are they acting on their own or is Zapt commanding them from the shadows?” He shoved his fingers through his hair, causing the wavy mass to curl off in all directions. “Please tell me Zapt is now locked in detention.”
“He’s a ghost,” LeAuntiez grumbled. “I honestly think he’s long gone and we’re chasing shadows.”
Rather than indulging in another fit of temper, Bron gazed into the distance thoughtfully. “Then who is commanding the rebels? These attacks are well-organized and structured. There’s no way they are spontaneous.”
LeAuntiez leaned his shoulder against the doorframe and crossed his arms over his chest. “Who’d they hit today, and what did they steal?”
“They hit the Elizian.”
LeAuntiez grimaced. The Elizian was Bron’s ship, the Protectorate flagship. Though Bron’s first officer was currently in command, Bron still thought of the ship as his. “Damn,” was all LeAuntiez said.
“They got away with an entire case of anterite. Fuckers knew where and when to strike. This was definitely an inside job.”
Anterite was the crystalline mineral that powered Ventori technology. It didn’t exist in this star system, so it wasn’t surprising that the rebels were running low. The Protectorate conducted regular runs to various trade worlds, replenishing all of their supplies. Apparently, the rebels hadn’t recruited enough ships yet to make such runs possible. Or they just preferred to steal what they needed.
“I can’t help but feel like this was a long middle finger at me personally,” Bron grumbled.
LeAuntiez narrowed his gaze, confused by the phrase. The gesture was only used by humans. The Ventori had their own set of obscene gestures. “You think humans are involved?”
Bron chuckled. “Stop being so literal. I just meant the rebels were insulting me.”
“Possibly. Or the Elizian was the easier target, because you’re not on board.” He held up his hand, stopping Bron’s argument before it began. “I’m not insulting Kellan. He’s as sharp as they come. But the crew knows their real master is away, so they might take advantage.”
“If that’s the case, there will be hells to pay. I let Kellan have it, as I think you overheard, so it’s guaranteed to blow back on the crew.”
“Sounds like they deserve it.” Bron’s only response was a noncommittal growl, so LeAuntiez pushed off the wall and nodded toward the hallway. “Let’s find Kyla and—”
“I think we should let her talk to Nunez. We’ve both exhausted all our leads. We need new information.”
LeAuntiez sighed. Just the suggestion meant Bron had given up on him every finding Zapt. But Bron was right. All of their current leads had been fully investigated. “I don’t like it.”
“Neither do I, but it might be our only hope.”
They found Kyla alone in the small courtyard, which was surrounded by the building on three sides. The open end was guarded, so she was protected, but it bothered LeAuntiez that she was all alone.
She looked up from the digi-sheet with which she’d accessed the central library and smiled. “Hi there.” She folded the flexible screen in fourths and shoved it in the back pocket of her uniform pants. “Is it already six o’clock?”
“No.” Bron moved closer to their mate, taking the lead as usual.
LeAuntiez let him. They were equally dominant; they just had
different personalities. Bron tended to rush right into any situation. LeAuntiez was more watchful, methodical, striking only after he’d had time to analyze the scene.
“We’re ready for you to take a shot at Roberta Nunez,” Bron told her.
“Really?” She stood and brushed her hair off her forehead.
“Are you still willing to do it?” LeAuntiez fervently hoped she’d changed her mind. It would save them all from an evening of stress and possible danger.
“Of course I am. I want to do this badly. That bitch experimented on my genetic material without asking my permission. And they did even worse to Erin. I’ll do whatever it takes to make sure she pays.”
Chapter Six
Kyla looked at Roberta Nunez’s image on the security feed and every muscle in her body tensed. This was one of the people responsible for her kidnapping. Actually, they hadn’t been after her, they’d been after Erin. Which meant if they hadn’t kidnapped Erin, Erin wouldn’t be missing right now. No matter how you looked at it, this bitch started it all.
They were aboard the Elizian, a massive Ventori warship. She didn’t know much about Ventori technology, but this ship looked newer and more sophisticated than the others she’d been aboard. Kellan Styre, the commander, had been waiting for them just outside the shuttle bay. He was as oversized as his ship, standing half a head taller than both LeAuntiez and Bron. It was immediately obvious that Kellan and Bron knew each other well.
“I’m getting mighty comfortable in this command, sir,” Kellan teased, the deep blue marbling in his eyes shimmering. His hair was long, flowing past his shoulders in midnight blue waves. He wasn’t as handsome as Bron, at least not to her. Still, he had a nice smile.
“Well, don’t.” Despite Bron’s lazy smile, there was real warning in his voice. “The Elizian is mine. That will never change.”
“Understood.” Kellan glanced at her and his smile turned cocky. “Are you going to introduce me to this vision?”
“No. She’s off limits. That’s all you need to know.”
Kellan escorted them to the detention level, then excused himself with a formal bow.
