  Chaz Brenchley has been making a living as a writer since the age of eighteen. He is the author of nine thrillers, two fantasy series, two ghost stories and two collections, most recently the Lambda Award-winning Bitter Waters. He has also published Chinese fantasy as Daniel Fox, and urban fantasy as Ben Macallan. He lost count of his short stories long ago. His work has won the British Fantasy Award and a Lambda Award. He has recently married and moved from Newcastle to California, with two squabbling cats and a famous teddy bear.

  A.K. Benedict’s debut novel, The Beauty of Murder, was shortlisted for an eDunnit Award and is in development for an eight-part TV series. Her second novel, Jonathan Dark or the Evidence of Ghosts, was published in February 2016 and The Stone House, a tie-in novel for Doctor Who spin-off Class, was published in October 2016. Her poems and short stories have featured in journals and anthologies including Best British Short Stories, Magma, Scaremongrel and Great British Horror. Her first audio drama, The Victorian Age, was released as part of the Torchwood range at Big Finish, while her second, Outbreak, was a three-part Torchwood drama co-written with Guy Adams and Emma Reeves.

  Brian Lillie is an American writer, moviemaker, and musician from Ann Arbor, Michigan. His stories have appeared or are forthcoming in Into the Darkness: An Anthology, vol.1 (Necro Publications), Space Squid, Jersey Devil Press, Albedo One, and Cutting Block Books. A huge horror and weirdness fan, he runs 31 Hath October, a Halloween countdown blog chock-full of reviews, interviews and essays.   Ramsey Campbell’s first book appeared in 1964, and he has written horror ever since. His most recent books are The Booking (a novella), Born to the Dark (the second volume of his Brichester Mythos trilogy), and By the Light of my Skull (a collection of short stories). He has received the Grand Master Award of the World Horror Convention, the Lifetime Achievement Award of the Horror Writers Association, the Living Legend Award of the International Horror Guild and the World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award. In 2015 he was made an Honorary Fellow of Liverpool John Moores University for outstanding services to literature.

  British Fantasy Award-winning Carole Johnstone is a Scottish writer, currently living on the island of Cyprus. Her short fiction has been published widely, and has been reprinted in Ellen Datlow’s Best Horror of the Year and Salt Publishing’s Best British Fantasy series. Her debut short story collection, The Bright Day is Done, and her novella, Cold Turkey, were both shortlisted for a 2015 British Fantasy Award.   Sarah Lotz is a novelist and screenwriter with a fondness for the macabre and fake names, whose collaborative and solo novels have been translated into over twenty-five languages. She has written urban horror novels under the name S.L. Grey with author Louis Greenberg; a YA pulp-fiction zombie series, Deadlands, with her daughter, Savannah, under the pseudonym Lily Herne; and quirky erotica novels with authors Helen Moffett and Paige Nick under the name Helena S. Paige. Under her own name, she is the author of The Three, Day Four and The White Road. She currently lives in a forest with her family and other animals.

  Adam L.G. Nevill was born in Birmingham, England, in 1969 and grew up in England and New Zealand. He is the author of the horror novels Banquet for the Damned, Apartment 16, The Ritual, Last Days, House of Small Shadows, No One Gets Out Alive, Lost Girl and Under a Watchful Eye. His first short story collection, Some Will Not Sleep: Selected Horrors, was published on Halloween, 2016. The Ritual, Last Days and No One Gets Out Alive were the winners of the August Derleth Award for Best Horror Novel, and The Ritual and Last Days were also awarded Best in Category: Horror, by R.U.S.A.   Muriel Gray graduated from Glasgow School of Art, and worked as an illustrator and museum exhibition designer. After presenting the iconic music programme The Tube a long career in broadcasting followed, including founding a television production company.An award-winning opinion writer in many publications, she is the author of three horror novels, The Trickster, Furnace and The Ancient, and many short stories. She was the first female rector of Edinburgh University, is chair of the board of governors of Glasgow School of Art, and a trustee on the board of the British Museum. She lives in Glasgow.

  Josh Malerman is the author of Bird Box, Black Mad Wheel, A House at the Bottom of a Lake and Ghastle and Yule. He’s also the singer/songwriter for the rock band The High Strung, whose song “The Luck You Got” can be heard as the theme song for the hit Showtime show Shameless. He lives in Ferndale, Michigan, with his soul mate Allison Laakko and their many pets.

  Conrad Williams is the author of nine novels: Head Injuries, London Revenant, The Unblemished, One, Decay Inevitable, Loss of Separation, Dust and Desire, Sonata of the Dead and Hell is Empty. His short fiction is collected in Use Once Then Destroy, Born with Teeth and I Will Surround You. He has won the British Fantasy Award, the International Horror Guild Award and the Littlewood Arc prize. Recently he was a finalist for a Crime Writers’ Association Dagger. He lives in Manchester with his wife and three sons, where he is at work on a haunted house novel and an interactive video game.

  Kathryn Ptacek’s novels, among which are Blood Autumn, Kachina, Shadoweyes and Ghost Dance, are now out as e-books from Crossroad Press and Necon ebooks. Her first collection of short stories, Looking Backward in Darkness, was released by Borgo Press. Her short stories can be found in Expiration Date, Better Weird, The Year’s Best Dark Fantasy and Horror 2016, Fright Mare – Women Write Horror and Dark Discoveries magazine. Her poetry has been published in the Horror Writers Assn. Poetry Showcase Volumes II and III. Kathy lives in rural northwest New Jersey and shares her old Queen Anne home with lots of books, the requisite author cats, unusual teapots and the occasional visiting mouse.   Stephen Laws is an award-winning horror novelist whose books, which include Ghost Train, Spectre, The Frighteners, Daemonic and Chasm, have been published in America, France, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Australia, Poland and Japan. Peter Cushing loved his novels, but hated the bad language therein. Horror actress Ingrid Pitt organised a team search of his hotel room, concentrating on a “haunted sock drawer”. Roger Corman bought him a pizza. He made Christopher Lee cry in public. He won second prize in a 1963 “Name the Sugar Puff Bear” competition. His son has a famous godfather in the genre. He plays piano, and one of his compositions was performed with full orchestra on a pre-Civil War Yugoslav television “variety” programme.This is all true.
