by Jessica Loft

His hips began to move, slowly at first, then faster and faster, until he was pounding into her body over and over. She gripped him closer as his body moved within hers. She felt her body flush all the way to her toes with her orgasm began to build. She felt the climax build stronger and stronger until she was begging for more. His pleasure equalizing hers as he felt her warm wetness grow and her vagina tighten around him. When she finally felt her peak she screamed as he emptied himself inside her. He fell on top of her, her body trembling with the violent climax.

  Chapter 7

Jessie laid with her head in the crook of his arm looking at his chest. His hand swept down her back and made lazy circles on her hip. She tried to rise from the bed but he held her still.

“Where are you going?” He asked.

  “Home.”

“Really? Why the hurry? Stay and have lunch with me.”

“I’m not hungry. I need to get home.” She replied.

“Yes you are, and don’t you think we should talk about what happened?”

“No. It happened. The end. Time to move on.” She stated.

“Really? That’s it. It happened now move on?”

“Yes.” She could tell that he was a little hurt and angry, but, she pushed herself from the bed anyway and pulled the shirt back over her head. Making her way out of the bedroom, she picked up her clutch from the table searched through it to find her keys. Pulling them out she turned to leave, as Damon walked into the room wearing his shorts again.

“So that’s it. You’re just leaving?”

“Yes. I figure we can be adults about this. I have some stuff I need to get done today anyway.”

He shook his head at her as she closed the door to his room behind her. She rode the elevator down and ignored the looks she was getting from the other passengers. She was grateful that his shirt came almost to the middle of her thighs. She wrapped her arms around herself as she made her way to her car as fast as she could. She quickly unlocked the door and sat down inside. She breathed a sigh of relief before turning the key in the ignition. She felt like smacking herself for letting that happen. How could she let him do those things to her? How could she want him to do it again? She didn’t know why but she did know that she needed to be careful. Not just of him but apparently of herself as well. It could never happen again. Not now and not ever.

The rest of the day was quiet for Jessie as she decided to keep herself busy by cleaning the house. She knew when Monday came she would have to face the music. She would have to see him and decide where to go from here. The problem was she didn’t know what she wanted anymore.

Becca could feel her eyes narrowing at the scene in front of her. She didn’t understand it. She did everything that Damon could ever want. She made him laugh and she thought they were good together. She had worked her way up in the company to land the role as his assistant. And at first she was terrified. He had put her mind at ease, he wasn’t anything like what people thought. He was kind, generous, funny and, of course, gorgeous too. He was everything a girl could want and he was hers. She didn’t care who stood in her way or what she had to do; she would have him in the end. First thing, she needed to do was to get rid of the twit that was currently laying all over him.

Jessie was not the woman for him, not to mention the fact that she was never happy and a bore as well. All she did was work and that was not good for Damon. He was a people person who liked to get out there and enjoy life. That was what attracted her to him in the first place. His outgoing demeanor. She needed to get rid of Jessie and fast. As she scowled after them leaving together from the party, she devised a plan. She needed to plant something so that Jessie would be fired and she needed to do it soon. Really soon.

  Chapter 8

Monday morning came like any other morning, except Jessie knew that it wasn’t. She knew it was going to be difficult dealing with Sinclair and didn’t quite know what to expect. After what had happened between them, she couldn’t even think of him without blushing a deep red color. Her mind wandered back to that night and she felt the familiar goosebumps rise on her flesh again.

Raising her chin, she squared her shoulders, and braced for seeing him. The elevator stopped at her floor and she took the first few steps off. She heard a strange noise but knew it couldn’t be Sinclair. It was still too early for him to be there. As she walked to the door of her office she saw someone leaning over the desk.

“May I help you?” Jessie said loudly.

The person jumped and spun around. It was Becca. For some reason, Jessie had never trust the woman. There was something about her that gave her the creeps. Not to mention the fact that she was clearly possessive about Sinclair. She could have him for all Jessie cares, but what was she doing in her office.

“What are you doing in here?” Jessie questioned.

“Oh, I—uh, I was looking for sticky notes. I wanted to leave Mr. Sinclair a note that I would be unavailable this afternoon. I have a family emergency.”

Jessie recognized right away she was lying. She could tell by the way the woman wouldn’t meet her eyes. There was no way anything would keep her from being there during a work day with Sinclair and they both knew it. “Sure.” She said suspiciously. She gave the younger woman a smile, but knew that it didn’t reach her eyes which were hard and distrusting. Walking around the desk she slid the top drawer open and pulled out the note pads she left in the drawer. Handing her one she cocked her head to the side. “I would think that you would look in his office first, since that is where you are leaving the note.”

“Oh, he never has any paper anywhere. He always types everything, so I knew he wouldn’t have any. Thank you.” She slowly made her way from the office and Jessie made a point of reminding herself to lock her door from now on.

She sat down at her desk as she watched the Becca leave on the elevator. Shaking her head, she turned on the computer. Something wasn’t right. She did something. Jessie searched through her computer for what seemed out of place. When a recent download of files caught her eye. That was it. She planted fake files on my computer. She is trying to frame me for embezzlement. She stood angrily and waited as the papers printed out. Surely that bitch would have notified Sinclair if she wanted Jessie to get caught. Making her way into his office she began to look around. She was bent over the desk shuffling through papers when she heard someone clear their throat behind her. She turned slowly to see Sinclair standing in the doorway.

“If I had known I would have been greeted like this, I would have come sooner. Much sooner.” He looked down and she realized how she looked. She was bent over the desk trying to reach another stack of papers. This pushed her breasts flat against the desk and pushed her ass into the air. She straightened quickly before giving him a glare.

“I need to talk to you.”

“So you want to talk? I thought we could do something else.” His eyes dropped to her chest where it was quickly rising up and down with her increased breathing.

“No. I want to talk and talk only.”

“Fine.” He sighed as he made his way forward and walked around the desk. He plopped into his seat with a flourish of his hands and folded them in front of him. He cocked his head as he looked at her with a passive look. “Talk then.”

  “It’s about Becca.”

  “What about her?”

“I think she is bad news.”

“Oh really? Is that what you are thinking of? About Becca?”

“Yes. Look she is obsessed about you. She doesn’t want me to talk to you or work with you…”

“So you are jealous of her then?”

“No that is not it. She was in my office when I got here this morning.”

Damon’s eyebrows shot up. “That’s strange. Did she say why?”

“She said that she was looking for a sticky note so she could write you something. When I asked her why she didn’t look on your desk, she said that you never have any.”

“That is true. I type al
l my correspondence.”

“The problem is after she left I looked over my computer and found some files she had put there.”

He sat back and looked up at her then. Whatever she was saying got his interest this time. “What kind of files.”

“The fake kind that point a finger, suggesting I am embezzling money.”

  “Really?” His jaw dropped.

“Yes.” She watched as his eyes widened and he began to shake his head, looking shell shocked. She knew then that he believed her. Something definitely wasn’t right.

  “Then Leslie was right.”

“Who is Leslie, and what are you talking about?”

He had his hand over his mouth, and he looked sick. “I think we need to contact the police.”

Her eyes widened in shock herself as she looked at him. She could tell from that something serious was going on and she was not going to like whatever it was. “What is going on, Sinclair?”

“Come sit down with me on the couch. I have a story to tell you.”

She let him lead her to the couch. “What is it?” She pleaded. “I can tell by your expression that it is not good.”

“It’s not. Not good at all...damn it. I had a former business partner. Her name was Leslie. Becca is the one that brought it to my attention that Leslie was skimming money from the business. So I let her go and pressed charges. Leslie had begged me to listen, and told me it was all a lie, but they found files on her computer that said otherwise. I believed Becca, but now I’m thinking that maybe what Leslie said was true. She said that Becca was jealous over any woman in my life. Leslie and I were just partners. Nothing else. But Leslie said that didn’t matter…she said Becca was crazy and obsessive.”

  “What happened to Leslie?”

He shrugged, “I don’t’ know…she disappeared, and I haven’t seen her in years. If what you are saying is true, then what Leslie said could have been true as well.”

“You should let Becca go, but do it quickly. The longer you wait, the more dangerous she’ll become.”

“You’re right. I’ll do it tomorrow morning. Her note said she would be out today.”

“Thank you.” She got up to leave but felt his hand circle her wrist, and slowly he pull her towards him.

  “Now about us.”

  “There is no us.”

  “There could be.” He hinted.

“Not if we work together. I’m sure your boss would not approve of fraternization.”

“Is that all that’s keeping us apart?” He laughed.

She thought about it for a moment, realizing that it was and nodded.

  Chapter 9

Laughing, Damon exclaimed, “You really don’t know, then?”

  “Know what?” Jessie said confused,

“My name is Damon Capers Sinclair. My middle name was my mother’s maiden name.”

“Really?” She sat there for a moment before it hit her what he was saying. “So are you saying that you’re the boss? That there is nobody else above you?”

“I am, and I will do whatever the hell I want, so come here,” she chuckled as she let him pull her onto his lap. Their lips met, and unlike yesterday, there was no tentativeness…no hesitation. They tore at each other’s clothing until both were naked from the waist up. She slowly stood before him, pushing her pants and panties down her legs. His pants were down his own legs and off before he held his arms out to her.

Her body moved quickly into his arms as she straddled him, lowering herself onto him as kissed her deeply. She moaned and withdrew a little before slowly closing down on top of him again. Over and over she took him in until they both exploded, then collapsed into each other’s arms, their bodies still shaking from the orgasm. It was almost too much.

A little later, Jessie raised her head up from where it was still laying on his chest.

  “So what now?” She asked.

“I let her go and we continue with our lives.”

“If she is as possessive as I think she is, it might not be that easy or safe.”

  “I’ll handle it.” He soothed.

The next morning, Damon did just as he said, and Becca left in tears. When she reached the elevator she turned with a glare at Jessie. “This is not over. Not in the least. I will have what I want. He is mine and I will do what I must to keep him.” She glared at Jessie once more before she stepped onto the elevator.

“I gave her a good severance check. Maybe she will see it and be happy.” His voice came to her from across the hall.

  “I hope so.”

The next few days went by happily and slowly. Jessie had realized while sitting at her desk typing an email that she was falling for Sinclair, and that it didn’t frighten her anymore. He was so different than she had originally thought he was. He was sweet and kind, not arrogant and shallow the way she had assumed. They had spent every night together since either at her house or his hotel. He would always wake her with a kiss and feed her breakfast in bed.

One morning, he surprised her by asking her to go house hunting with him. She was shocked, “Are you sure you want me to come with you? Buying a home is a very personal decision.”

But Damon quickly explained, “It is time for me to lay down some roots. The company is thriving and our relationship is the best one either of us has ever been in. I think we are both happy.” Jessie nodded, she felt the same way. They were in a love daze.

It was the following week when she walked into her office and found a package on her desk. Thinking it was romantic gesture from Damon she smiled as she opened it. Her smile quickly dropped as she saw the stuffed bear missing its head. Attached was a note that read, “Your time is coming!” Jessie knew immediately who it came from and called Sinclair from her phone. He came right to work, bringing the police along. They examined the package, heard the story and decided it was time they investigate Becca.

That evening Damon and Jessie were sitting in her living room watching a movie and sharing popcorn, when the doorbell rang. She felt her body tense as he made his way to the door. She heard a few words, then looked up to see Sinclair make his way back to the living room. His eyes were wide as he looked down at the papers in his hands.

“What is it?” Jesse asked, concerned.

Making his way over to where she sat, he spread the papers out on the coffee table. They were images taken of a large photo collage. All the pictures in the collage were of Damon…well over 300 pictures. There was a table in front of the wall that held two large candles and one small one. They were all lit. It was a shrine. To him. “They found all this in her house, but no sign of her. I had no idea.”

She slowly took his hand in hers and rubbed the back with her thumb. “How could you? They’ll find her now and handle it. I am just glad that she never hurt you.”

“I don’t think she ever would. She was obsessed with me. But I’m worried about you. This is just really creepy. I feel terrible about Leslie, too. I’m going to have to try to find her and try to make it right to whatever extent that I can.”

“I know. Come on. Let’s go to bed.” She pulled him up the stairs to her room. That night they just held each other, both grateful that the other hadn’t been hurt by a crazed lunatic. Although Becca was obsessed with Sinclair, Jessie knew that some people would do anything to keep the subject of their obsession from being with someone else; even if that meant harming that person they claimed to love.

She felt a little safer knowing that the police said there would be someone watching the house at all times until Becca was found and brought in. But it still made her uneasy. Sinclair had insisted on staying at her house that night and he did. She had argued at first, telling him that it wasn’t necessary, but he told her he would sleep on the porch if he had to, or break into her house himself. In the end, she consented. At least he wasn’t trying to push her to go somewhere else. And honestly, she did feel better not being alone, knowing he was okay too.

  Chapter 10

  Jessie didn’t kno
w exactly what woke her up, but something didn’t feel right. Something was wrong. Very wrong.

“Thought you would never see me again, didn’t you?”

She looked up into Becca’s face. Nudging Sinclair beside her, he slowly came awake and stared over at Becca.

“I am here to take what is mine.”

“And just what do you think that is?” Jessie asked.

“Him.” She stepped forward toward the man who was currently glaring at her.

“He is not yours. He never was, and never will be.”

“I guess you think he is yours?”

“Actually, I don’t’ think he belongs to anyone. Last I heard, slavery was abolished years ago.” Jessie said through gritted teeth.

“Ha. You’re a little smart ass aren’t you? No wonder he likes you so much. You two are so much alike. Now, listen to what I’m going to tell you. I’ll make this short and simple, ok?”

“What are you doing here, Becca?” Jessie heard the deep voice of Sinclair beside her, still heavy with the effects of sleep. His voice had an edge, and she could tell that he wasn’t happy.

“I told you, sweetheart. I’m here for you. I told you once before that I would never leave you. Now I am here to make sure I keep my promise. You are going to come with me. We’ll go far away and you two will never see each other again. I have the money to do that. Thanks to all that embezzlement done by your partners.”

“So you’ve been taking money, and making it look like they did it?” His eyes widened at her words, dumbfounded. “How much did you take, Becca?”

“Oh, only a few million, but it is enough for us to live quite peacefully in Mexico or something. I even got us our own jet. Or should I say you did. But none of that will matter after we are married. We’ll be happy, in love, and share everything, including your money. But, we can’t withdraw anything right away, or they’ll find us. I know this twit won’t give up looking for you easily, either. Using money would be like giving her directions to where we are. Not happening.”
