“Yo, Gabriel! Man, maybe we should go, man.”

From outside the storage room door I heard his voice, a voice that has haunted me since that night. “I say when we go! And I’m not leaving until I have this bitch’s cunt! You hear me blondie? I’m gonna ride you like a fucking pony!”

“Rahyne, do you know where Scarlett is?” Luna’s whisper was meek and full of fear.

I shook my head. There was no way of contacting her either, I had left my phone on the bar counter. “I have no idea. God, I hope she’s not upstairs.”

Again, we could hear one of the members complain. “If we don’t get out of here the 5-O are gonna be on our ass, man.”

Sure enough, sirens could be heard in the distance.

Luna’s eyes widened and she leaned in to me. “She’s upstairs, she’s got to be. She must have called the cops.”

I looked at the door and a loud bang came from the other side. Again, the same loud noise echoed and I realized that he was shooting at it. Luna grabbed me by the hand and pulled me towards the back corner of the room.

He kicked the door in and it moved slightly. Gratefully it was large and heavy, so it wasn’t easy for him to get open. We could hear the sirens getting closer and another man shouted.

“Let’s go, man! Tuco is going to fucking kill us!”

“Who the fuck cares about Tuco? I’m getting what belongs to me!”

Cold chills ran up my spine as he continued to bang on the door. Suddenly we could hear shouting, bullets started flying around us, sending Luna and I down to the floor. After a good fifteen minutes, a heavy silence hung through the club and we lay there, waiting.

A loud banging on the door startled us and we both screamed.

  “LAPD!”

We sat there staring at the door, afraid to move. The banging started again. “LAPD! It’s alright! Open the door!”

“Open the door Rahyne! It’s okay!” Scarlett’s voice on the other side sounded like a godsend.

I reacted first and scurried up. Luna helped me drag the tables and pallets away from the door. As the doorframe became visible we noticed the fresh bullet holes that penetrated it. We just looked at each other in shock. Thank God we had thought of reinforcing the door. I opened it slowly and Scarlett ran in, flinging herself at me.

“Jesus Christ, Ray! Oh my God! Are you alright?” She cupped my cheeks, running her hands down my arms and then turned and grabbed Luna’s hand pulling her towards us. She hugged us so tight I grimaced from the pain.

“We’re alright. We’re alright.” I patted her on the back and she finally let us go.

A young cop stood at the doorway and cleared his throat. “Ladies, if you could make your way out please.”

I nodded and led the way out into the club. Bullet holes marked the stages and bar, the place looked as if a bomb had exploded. We propped up a table and a few of the remaining chairs and sat down. Luna grabbed us a whiskey bottle and passed it to me.

  “Ladies, I don’t think…”

I looked pointedly at the cop and he shrugged. “As long as you can remain sober enough to answer the questions.”

I nodded, and he walked away.

About ten minutes later Wolf, Grayson, Cain and Riggs walked in. Riggs scanned the room and then the bar until he focused on Luna. He tensed up as she flung herself at him, but I noticed how he closed his eyes and relief flashed through his features, yet he didn’t touch her, he just let her hold onto him. Wolf ran over to Scarlett hugging and sweeping his hands down to her belly. I met Grayson’s eyes and his expression said it all. He looked murderous.

As he turned to leave, I yelled. “Grayson! Riggs, stop him!”

Both Riggs and the younger cop had to block his path and almost wrestle him down. One of the cops even put handcuffs on him. I watched as they dragged him to a chair and he still struggled.

“That’s enough!” I shouted as they continued to manhandle him. I pushed through the group of cops and men and stood in front of Grayson. “I said that’s enough! He’s not the bad guy here assholes!”

I knelt down in front of his hunched form and cupped his cheek. He looked up at me, his eyes stormy and concerned. “Did he lay a hand on you?”

  “I’m fine.”

“I’ll fucking kill him,” he whispered earnestly.

I shook my head. “You’re not killing anyone.”

He gave me a tormented look and I pressed my forehead to his, soothing him with soft caresses down his arms.

“What the fuck are we going to do?” Riggs picked up a chair. “This is crazy!”

Scarlett’s voice rang out. “I can tell you exactly who it was. One was called El Rubio, the others I’m not sure of, but several of them were wearing the same tattoo. The symbol was a pair of crossed pistols that read Los Perdidos.”

Grayson closed his eyes and looked up at Wolf. “They’re Tuco’s people.”

Cain scoffed. “That mother fucker doesn’t take no for an answer. You know that better than any of us, Wolf. He said we’d have to pay him back for his lost time. I guess he’s sending a message.”

Grayson huffed out a breath and stared right at Wolf. “This is fucking personal.”

“You have dealings with this gang?” An older man, around mid-fifties and wearing a leather jacket and jeans leaned against the bar. A badge hung from around his neck and he looked pretty relaxed amongst the chaos. Several other officers milled around taking pictures and assessing what had now become a crime scene.

Wolf eyed him warily. “Got into it with them a few months ago. Wanted to sell me something I wasn’t interested in buying.”

“Are you sure you weren’t interested?”

“Damn straight I wasn’t interested!” He clutched his fists to his side in a fight ready stance.

“No need to get defensive, Mr. Stone. It was just a simple question.”

“I don’t like what it implied.” I watched Scarlett place a hand on his arm and Wolf quieted down.

Looking down at Grayson, handcuffed and looking defeated I stood up. “A few nights ago, I was assaulted.” I paused for a minute remembering what happened.

“I left late that night, and as I was walking to my car I was dragged to the back of an alley. It was dark, but I recognized him right away. I’d seen him before at the club. He had been harassing me. He told me that he wanted to hurt me…” My voice cracked and I felt Scarlett grab my hand. I continued recounting the events because I needed to make sure this guy was put behind bars.

“He shoved me down onto the concrete and taking his knife out he ripped off my shirt…”

“That’s enough!” Grayson’s voice rang out and I closed my eyes, stopping. “That’s enough, baby,” he whispered.

Sitting up he looked at the man. “She was almost raped. You want the story, look up the report she made. We’re giving you a face and a name. What more do you need?”

The cop nodded. “Looks like you’re messing with pretty bad people. Ramon “Tuco” Moreno and his brother Gabriel aren’t men you want to be trifling with.”

“They walked up on our property and touched our women.” Riggs’ voice was low and menacing. “The next time they step foot in here I’ll put a bullet between their eyes.”

The cop raised his hand to stop him. “I’m gonna pretend I didn’t hear that. This is a public establishment, so technically they’re allowed to step foot in it.”

Wolf wrapped a hand around Scarlett’s waist. “My wife and I live upstairs. The club is an extension of my home. I want a restriction placed on him and I want a warrant for his arrest.”

The man shook his head. “Like I said, you’re messin’ with a big gang here…”

“Are you going to help us out here, or am I going to have to talk to your superiors. I got friends in high places, Officer…” Wolf leaned in to read the name on the badge, “Lowery.”

“It’s Detective,” he corrected. “Look, all I’m saying is that they have a lot of people who protect them. I
t’s not going to be easy to catch them.”

Wolf looked at Grayson. “Don’t you worry about that, Detective. We can help with that.”

Detective Lowry frowned at him. “I don’t need your help, Mr. Stone. I don’t want you messing around with the case. That’s final.” His voice was low and stern.

I looked down at Grayson and frowned. “Can you untie my man now, please?”

Grayson looked up at me, but I avoided his glance as well as Scarlett’s and the rest of the members. The last thing I needed was to be scrutinized by my own people.

The officer quickly came up to us. “I’m going to let you go under one condition.”

  Grayson sighed. “What’s that?”

“You leave the justice to the cops. Okay?”

Grayson nodded, but as he was uncuffed he reached for me and looked at Wolf with a look of determination I hadn’t seen on his face before.

  CHAPTER TEN

  GRAYSON

The brothers assembled in the open space that used to be Club Ravenous. It was left in ruins and completely destroyed. Wolf, positive as always, said that he would reopen in a few weeks. He said it would give him a chance to give it a much-needed makeover. I had scoffed at his optimism. What he needed to do was reinforce the Hell’s Lovers.

I hadn’t slept much in the last few days, constantly on patrol, and if it wasn’t my turn I was out searching for the fucker. I knew I should keep my cool, but just imagining him near my Rahyne again had me itching for my gun and for his head.

The case had opened up against Los Perdidos, but the word out on the street was that Gabriel Moreno ran and was in hiding. With everyone gathered, it was time to make a plan.

“I’ve contacted the Death Row Shooters. We’ll have reinforcements for the club and for anyone who works for us by tonight. Get acquainted with them, I don’t want accidents to happen under our watch. These men are here to help us, so they get treated like one of us.” Wolf paced in front of us; I could tell his mind was spinning. “I need to get estimates for supplies and construction to be redone on this place. Riggs, I’m hoping you’ll help with that.”

Riggs nodded. “Anything you need Wolf.”

I frowned. “Are we going to be on the defense forever, Wolf? Are we planning on taking action at all?”

Wolf began to answer, when a loud pounding sounded at the front entrance. We all pulled out our guns and dispersed around the area. I saw Cain and Seth head towards the darkest corners, smart men. I stepped up behind Wolf as he yelled out. “Who’s there?”

  “Wolf, its Tuco.”

Wolf looked back at me and then at the guys. They all nodded back at us, letting us know they were prepared and giving us all the backup we needed. Wolf opened the door carefully, and there stood Tuco with one other man. Wolf pointed his gun at them and they raised their hands.

“What the fuck are you doing here, Tuco?”

Tuco looked wary as I tugged them both in, keeping my gun trained on one while I checked the other for weapons. When I made sure they weren’t carrying, I signaled to Wolf. He shut the door and I shoved them both into the center of the room.

I could tell Tuco didn’t like to be manhandled, so I intentionally pointed my gun at his head and cocked the trigger. “Speak fucker.”

Tuco clenched his jaw, but managed to keep his cool. “I’m here to make peace.”

A noise of disdain arose from Wolf’s throat and I smirked. “Peace? Isn’t it a little late for that?”

He nodded. “Look. My brother can get a little out of hand sometimes…”

“A little!” I pushed the barrel of the gun to his temple in aggravation.

“Fine! He acted like a fucking idiot! He didn’t have my permission to do what he did. All I wanted to do was scare you off, my brother acted out on his own.”

Wolf crouched down in front of Tuco and spoke while waving his gun in his face. “And what makes you think I believe you?”

Tuco grimaced. “Because I came here, unarmed, with no one but Marco as my backup, and believe me this son of a bitch wouldn’t kill a cucaracha. I came here to offer my apology, vato. I don’t want any problems on my turf.”

Wolf scratched his head with the head of the gun and I smiled. There was no one better than Wolf Stone to show intimidation. “See, that’s where you’re wrong, vato.” He lowered his head to whisper. “What you need to get clear is that this isn’t your turf. It never was and it never will be. Let’s start with that.”

Tuco gritted his teeth and I could tell it took everything in him to nod in agreement. “Fine. This is Hell’s Lovers turf and no one touches it.”

Wolf smiled and stood up. He nodded at me to remove the gun, but I only cocked it back, I still kept it trained on Tuco. “Now, the matter of your brother isn’t forgiven.”

  “I’ll handle my brother…”

“Fuck that!” I pushed the gun against his head and he winced.

“My brother has done a lot of shit, and the men I work for aren’t happy. Believe me, if he doesn’t fall in your hands, he’ll definitely fall in theirs.”

Wolf sighed and squeezed the bridge of his nose in frustration. “If I even hear that you’re helping Gabriel Moreno in any way, Tuco… I’ll kill you and everyone you know.” He looked up at me and pretended to be reminded of something. “What was it his little brother said to your woman, Gray?”

“He said there wouldn’t be anything left to give back to her family.”

  “And who’s her family, Gray?”

  “I am.” I gritted out.

“See, Tuco? There wasn’t just one woman that day. And they weren’t just any women. They were Hell’s Lovers women. And we don’t take kindly to any fucker who puts our women in danger.” He nodded at me and I moved beside him.

“So what do you think, Gray, the shoulder or the leg?”

I smirked, knowing Wolf meant every word. “I already shot his brother in the shoulder. Let’s do the knee. Leave him a souvenir from the Hell’s Lovers.”

“Please! Please, I swear, we will never bother you again!” Tuco was slithering down onto the floor, his hands up, sweat coming off his brow.

Wolf stared down at the lowly gangster and grimaced. “The problem, Tuco, is that I don’t believe you.” With that he fired one clean shot into Tuco’s thigh sending him flying back. Wails of agony came from his lips and I trained my gun on the other poor fool who had come in with him.

I leaned over him and spoke quietly. “I suggest you get your boss out of here before I decide to put another bullet in you.”

He scrambled over to Tuco and dragged him up. Tuco grunted and although he knew he was defeated he still managed to place a threat. “The men I work with will come after you, and then we’ll see who’s going to suffer.”

In that moment, Riggs, Cain, Seth, and Knox came forward. Tuco’s eyes widened and Wolf smirked. “Tell them we’ll be waiting.”

Both men nearly fell as they ran out of Ravenous. I looked over at Wolf. “I think we just buried ourselves into a deeper hole.”

Wolf sighed. “You wanted me to take action, that was me taking action. Like I said, we’ll be ready for them.”

He patted me on the back and left us standing there, going through what had just happened. I heard Cain whistle.

  “Didn’t think he’d actually shoot.”

I stared back at him, but didn’t say anything. If there’s one thing you need to know, we’re not bad men, but gangs like this need to be put in their place. I knew Wolf well enough to know that he meant what he said, especially when it meant protecting what was his. He didn’t show it as much as I did, but he was just as, or even more pissed off, that we weren’t here to protect our women. It ate at us and it was something we both had to live with. But we could both guarantee it wasn’t going to happen again.

“GRAY! Gray, you need to stop!” Rahyne squealed and laughed as I rubbed her feet. We were sitting on the couch in my apartment, drinking a couple beers and having a peaceful evening
in. She had been staying with me every night for the last week. I didn’t want her to be alone after everything that had happened, and she had been more than willing to crawl into my bed. It was the only time she’d agreed with me without putting up a fight.

“Say you’ll move in with me.”

She squealed and kicked out, but I held onto her ankles. Dragging her towards me I widened my thighs, opening her legs for me. She was wearing my sleeveless t-shirt that reached mid-thigh. My hands travelled up her soft skin and she voluntarily propped her legs wide open, allowing me full access to her body.

Sighing, she lifted her arms above her head as I kneaded her soft flesh. “Mmmm. Grayson Carter, you’ll have to do better at convincing me than that.”

I chuckled and brought my hand up her hips growling as I realized she wasn’t wearing any underwear. “Well aren’t you a naughty girl.” I dragged my hand to cup her bare ass and squeezed. “I could get used to this.”

She giggled and I dragged the soft material of my shirt up and over her waist, exposing her glistening slit to my hungry eyes. My mouth watered, knowing exactly how to convince her.

“You’re going to say yes whether you like it or not.” Bringing her ass up to my mouth I dipped my head towards her, licking her and opening her juicy folds. She gave out a soft moan and arched her back. Biting her lip, she looked up at me as I propped her knees on my shoulder and grinned. “I want you to cum in my mouth, beautiful.”

“Fuck!” She yelled out as I dragged my tongue along her slick velvety skin. Her juices gushed out into my mouth and I lapped at the creaminess, enjoying her moans and squeals of delight. Gripping my hair she pushed me into her mound and I suckled her clit making her jerk against me. Looking up I grinned. “Are you going to move in with me?”

  “Grayson, please…”

“Just say the words and I’ll give you what you want, baby.”

Her nails dug into my arms as she swiveled her hips invitingly up at me. I stuck one finger inside of her and she cried out while her pussy clung to it. My cock was twitching on its own, wanting that same attention.
