They nodded to each other and moved simultaneously.

“Brenna, do we need to talk?”

“Not at all, Dad. Everything’s fine.”

Her dad stood up and crossed his arms over his chest and narrowed his eyes at her. Shit, the man always knows when I’m lying, and now he’s going to pull pack Alpha on me.

“Dad, if I need help I’ll ask.”

“You know, Brenna, I try to keep out of everyone’s business.”

She almost snorted out loud at that one. Her dad was always in the middle of everyone’s business. He was just sneaky about it.

“But there are things going on in this town, and I don’t just mean the little pack of goons that arrived just before Aiden.”

“He came here because of them, Dad.”

“No, he had already spoken to me about moving to Ecstasy Lake before the troublemakers showed up.”

Brenna felt the wind get sucked out of her sails. “Why didn’t you tell me that?”

“Why would I? I had no idea that you knew each other or that he was your Mate. I take it you thought that he didn’t come for you?”

“No, I didn’t.” Then why did he leave again? If Aiden has issues with the fact that she helped save him, they weren’t going to have a future. She had no patience for the ridiculous crap.

“I’m going to go find your moms, pumpkin.” He pressed a kiss to her forehead and gave her a quick hug. “Every time I turn my back, one of those McNamara boys is flirting with them again.”

Brenna laughed lightly because she knew that was what her dad expected, but her thoughts were in turmoil. She wandered around the large room trying to sort out exactly what she was feeling. A hand wrapping around her waist caught her attention, and she was pulled into the arms of Sloan Henderson.

“Hey, Brennie. Why so glum?” He looked closely at her. She and Sloan had been friends for so long she knew that she wouldn’t be able to lie to him.

“Sorry, I was thinking about stuff.” She stepped back out of Sloan’s embrace and was about to make an excuse to keep moving when she heard Carol screech out her name.

“Brenna! I’ve been looking for you all evening. Did River get ahold of you?”

Sloan let go of Brenna and pulled his wife into his arms, giving her a big kiss. “What about me?”

“Stop it.” Carol giggled and smacked Sloan on the ass. “You got lots of attention earlier, buddy.”

Brenna smiled at their antics. She couldn’t be happier that her best friend had moved up here, and was thrilled that Carol found her Mates in the three Henderson brothers. But it was hard to talk about the misery of your love life with someone who was so incredibly happy.

“Like I tried to tell you before we were interrupted. River texted me and said that Aiden O’Reilly was screaming at your empty apartment earlier today.”

Carol continued to speak, but Brenna’s attention splintered. She knew they found her the moment a heated tickle danced along her spine. Her wolf howled in her head in warning. If she wanted to escape them, now was the time. A few steps took her to the railing, and she scanned the lower floor. She couldn’t see them, but she could feel their presence. Aiden and Craig were here somewhere, and they were stalking her.

Regardless of the furry slut in her head, she wasn’t going to bend over and show them her ass. She liked to be in control, and she knew that she could never control Aiden or Craig. They wanted her submission, demanded it, and while there was a dark part of her that loved that, how long would it last before one or both of them walked away from her again?

No, she wasn’t going to put herself in that position again. She wouldn’t let them trample her feelings again. Her adrenaline kicked in, and she knew that she didn’t have much time.

“Bren? Are you all right?” asked Carol. She always was very sensitive about the emotions of those around her, and Brenna wasn’t surprised she picked up on her panic.

Brenna placed her martini on the ledge of the railing. “I’m good, but I’ve got to go. They’re here.”

“Who, Aiden and Craig?” Carol glanced around. “I don’t see them.”

  “That’s what has me worried.”

Carol grinned and gave her a shove. “You better get running then. Nothing better than a good chase.”

“Damn, don’t you start as well.” She hugged her friend and then glanced over at Sloan and Kaden, who were having a friendly argument over some sports thing.

“I’ll say your good-byes to my men. Go sort out what you have to with your men. Try not to give in too easily. ” Carol winked at her, and Brenna took her comment in the teasing way it was meant.

  “Carol, you’re a wonderful friend.”

“Go have fun, and I’ll see you on Monday.”

Brenna gave her friend another quick hug and then slipped into the crowds. She could feel them closing in on her, but with the crowds she couldn’t see or smell them. But they were close… She slipped between a few couples and headed for the stairs. She’d head back down to the bar and lose them there.

She grabbed the railing at the same moment her instincts screamed a warning. Arms wrapped around her body, pulling her back against a large male form. Craig’s scent slammed into her senses and her wolf rolled around in the scent of her Mate. Aiden appeared in front of her and pressed his body against her chest. She could feel his erection against her tummy, and Craig’s pressed against her back like a hot brand. They had her right where she wanted to be.

“Where do you think you’re going, Miss Roberts?” Craig’s cop voice always made her soak her panties, and this time was no different. Aiden’s nose flared as he inhaled and grinned down at her. She would’ve blushed, but she could scent both their arousals and it coated her tongue like a luscious dessert.

“I was going to refresh my drink.”

“You’re lying.” Craig’s deep voice rumbled again her ear like a summer storm. The electricity dancing along her skin felt like a lightning strike about to happen. “You were going to run.”

Aiden rocked his hips, brushing the bulge in his jeans against her. “I say let her run.”

“What?” both she and Craig snapped out simultaneously.

Aiden cupped her face and ran his thumb along her lower lip. She could feel Craig’s fingers curling around her hips while Aiden slid his hand up her torso and stopped a breath below her breast. They were standing at the rail’s edge in sight of everyone down below who cared to look up, not to forget the crowds around them. Despite being on full display, Brenna knew she was about five minutes from letting them do whatever they wanted. They had to know how she was feeling, which is why she was so shocked that Aiden wanted her to run.

“Ah, Brenna, you insist on taking everything I say the wrong way. Won’t you?” Aiden moved his hand up so it was cupping her breast.

“No, I won’t.” Her words came out much needier than she expected. The world dropped away, and she knew that she had their entire attention.

“And she’ll always argue about it, too.” Craig gripped her hips and rocked his hips against her ass in rhythm to the music around them.

  “You run and we chase.”

A thrill shot through her at the idea. “What if you can’t catch me?”

“We’ll always catch you, Brenna, no matter how far you run or where you go.” Aiden brushed the back of his hand against her breast in a blatant show of possession.

“I want you to run to the car, Brenna. Meet us at your house. I need to wear off some excess energy before I touch you.”

Brenna turned and looked up at Craig. His wolf was in his gaze, hungry and dominant. She felt another wave of moisture soak her panties, and a low growl vibrated in his chest. She grinned and wrapped her arms around his neck. “You know you don’t scare me.”

“If you had any idea what I was thinking of right now, you would be.” Craig stepped forward and pressed her back against the railing. “I’m about a minute away from bending you over this b
ar, flipping up your skirt and ramming my cock into your soaked pussy. I want to do it now in front of everyone here and mark you as mine.”

“He won’t be the only one, Brenna.” Aiden leaned against the railing, blocking them from view of the rest of the patio. “When he’s finished I’ll do it, too, or better yet, we’ll lift you between the two of us and take you at the same time.” Aiden’s voice lowered as he spoke, to the point of the last word wasn’t much more than a growl.

She was so turned on, she would’ve let them do it, too. Instead she pressed her lips to Craig’s, and a second later he took control of the kiss. His tongue plunged into her mouth, teasing and toying with her. It was a kiss that branded his name on her soul. He ended it by biting her on her lower lip before turning her around and pressing her into Aiden’s arms.

Aiden ran his thumb gently along her lower lip. The delicate skin was so sensitive that she would’ve sworn he stroked her pussy. “That’s right, Brenna. Tonight you’re ours. We’re going to claim you and make you ours. You’re our True Mate, and I don’t want to wait anymore.”

“Are you sure? You do this, there’s no going back.” Fear pressed at her, to tie herself to a man who lived to risk his own life for others.

“Brenna, you’re my life. You and Craig are my family, and I’m not going anywhere. We’re going to do everything we can to make you happy.”

  “I’ll race you home.”

  Chapter Fourteen

“I win,” Brenna crowed as she raced toward the back entrance to the clinic. A large wolf leapt onto the small porch in front of her. She snarled at the animal and bared her teeth. The animal responded by sticking its nose between her legs, making her shriek. “Bad doggie.” She flicked one of his ears. “You want to eat this pussy? You have to be on two legs, buddy.”

A split second later Craig stood in front of her. He was breathing heavily, and his eyes didn’t look completely human yet. Instead of the chocolate brown they normally were, his glowed with golden light. He growled low in his throat, a primal, inhuman noise that caused a rush of juices to run along the inside of her thigh. Craig’s nose flared, and he grabbed her by the waist and lifted her high above his head.

She instinctively wrapped her legs over his shoulders. Her pussy lay a scant inch away from his mouth. He chuckled, and sharp animalized teeth flashed in his smile. Having those sharp teeth so close to her pussy had a jolt of adrenaline rush her system, but it wasn’t fed by fear. She didn’t fear him like this, and he needed to understand that.

Craig took two steps and Brenna found herself pressed against the wall of the clinic. Shadows protected her from being seen by anyone who might drive by, not that she cared in the slightest. Craig ran his tongue along the seam of her pussy lips. She jumped slightly and dug her heels into his back, arching her pelvis to give him a better angle. He flicked out his tongue again, but this time to the side of her entrance.

  “Oh, don’t tease.”

She quickly looked to the right, having seen a flash of movement out of the corner of her eye, but it wasn’t any danger. Aiden approached slowly from the side. Craig held Brenna against the wall and growled low in his throat as he watched Aiden approach.

“Come on, Craig. You’re not going to be all selfish and keep our Mate for yourself, are you?” Craig blinked slowly, and Brenna watched as the preternatural glow in his eyes dimmed a bit and they darkened to his regular chocolate color.

He lowered Brenna back down to her feet. He ran his hands over her, but she got the impression that he was looking for injuries. “Dammit, Brenna. I’m sorry. Did I hurt you?”

He’s serious? “No, not at all. Craig, you don’t actually believe that you would hurt me, do you?”

The stricken look on his face was answer enough. Her wolf rushed forward, and Brenna allowed him to see that part of herself. Craig blinked, watching, as she knew her eyes were changing to a brighter blue. Aiden leaned against the wall next to her. “You’re so beautiful.” He leaned in for a kiss and she felt him run his tongue over her elongated fangs. He growled and deepened the kiss. Brenna kept her hands over Craig’s, keeping him from pulling away. She wanted to feel them both touching her.

Aiden’s lips were sinfully soft, and she caught his lower lip between her teeth when he tried to end the kiss. He pressed closer, and Craig slid his hands up her body, cupping her breasts. A rough tongue scraped over a nipple and she felt a gush of moisture rush to her core.

Both men growled at the renewed moisture. Aiden lifted his head and then bent forward to nip her lightly on the jaw. His golden eyes were brighter than normal, almost yellow in color. “We had better take this inside.”

She looked over at Craig, whose eyes had shifted back to bright amber. “Don’t you think about hiding that part of yourself from me, Craig. Come on, you two, I want to see you in my bed.”

Craig hesitated, stopping Brenna in her tracks. She didn’t doubt he still harbored some concerns, but she wanted him too badly to be willing to let him hide.

“Aiden, if I look like I’m losing control, promise me you’ll take me out however you have to.” Craig looked over at Aiden, who was frowning something fierce.

Brenna cupped his jaw with her hand and guided his face to hers. “You’re not a monster, Craig. Regardless of what your family feared or whispered about you, you would never hurt me.”

“How can you know for sure?”

Aiden answered him. “Craig, could you drive your claws into her? She’s vulnerable right now. Do what you have to and spill her blood.

“Have you lost your mind?” Craig looked so stricken that Brenna almost laughed.

“No, he hasn’t,” Brenna answered, “but he’s trying to make a point. Your wolf, the one I see in your eyes right now, is a part of you, Craig. The wolf is still you, only in a different form, and I love every part of you.”

Craig snapped his gaze to hers, searching her face like he feared she was lying. “How can you?”

“Because you’re a good man. You came to protect me even when I was a complete bitch to you. You’re my Mate, but I would’ve chosen you anyway because I trust you to make me happy.”

She turned to Aiden and ran her hand along his cheek. “You and I have been taking jabs at each other’s heart for so long. I knew you were for me the night I met you, only I was scared that you might leave me again. I want you to be happy, Aiden. If that means you’ve got to go and help protect others, then I want you to do that. I want you to be happy and come home to me and Craig when you can.”

Aiden smiled at her and gave her another kiss. “Brenna, I’m not going anywhere. You and Craig are my family, and I’d be too worried about you if I left anyway.”

“I’m not that easy to get along with sometimes,” she confessed.

“Oh, baby. We’re going to fuck up sometimes, too. That’s all part of being a family.” Craig lifted her back into his arms, and Aiden opened the door for them to go inside. He took the stairs two at a time, and Aiden followed them up.

“We’re going to make you happy, Brenna,” Craig promised, and she could see the sincerity in his expression. He was a natural protector who had the ability to care for everyone he met. She didn’t doubt he’d be talking to her father soon about security in the area.

“I don’t doubt that for a moment.” Happiness welled up in her, and she felt tears welling up in her eyes.

“I love you with every part of me, Brenna. I’m glad you didn’t give up on me.”

“Hey, what’s this?” Craig asked after she sat down on the bed. He brushed away the tear from her cheek. Aiden lifted her up. “Are you hurt?”

“No, I’m having a girly emotional moment. Forgive the lapse.”

Aiden laughed and flopped back on the bed and rolled over her in one smooth movement. He shimmied down her body and cupped her breasts together. “Right now, I want to finish what we started downstairs.” He flicked his tongue out and bathed each of her nipples with his warm tongue. Each swipe reminded her o
f Craig’s mouth on her pussy not that long ago.

The bed dipped next to her, and Craig stretched out beside her. She looked over at him and he pressed a hot, hungry kiss against her lips. She felt worshipped as both men stroked their hands over her body. Her arousal spiked and she rocked her hips up against Aiden as he moved down her body.

She wanted this so badly, wanted to feel both of them in her and bond with her Mates.

Craig nipped at the sensitive skin under her ear. “No need to rush this, Bren.” He stroked his hand along her shoulder and down over one breast. “We have all night.”

“I want you both now. Right now.”

Aiden settled down between her legs and lightly ticked her bare pussy with his fingertips. “We want this to be a memory to last forever, Brenna. No rushing for us.” He leaned down and licked her in one long swipe.

She cried out and jerked her hips, pressing her pussy against his mouth. “Oh, god, more.”

Craig growled against her ear, and she shivered at the primal sound. “I love hearing you, Brenna.” He cupped her breast in one hand and rolled her nipple between his fingers as he pressed openmouthed kisses against her throat. “I want you screaming out our names when we take you.” She felt his teeth against her skin, and her body shivered in response.

Aiden was exploring her drenched pussy with his tongue as Craig feasted on her breasts. Brenna felt like she was spiraling out of control. She gripped each of her men’s shoulder as an anchor against the storm of pleasure they were sending pulsing through her. Her first orgasm hit fast and furious. Ripping though her body like a tsunami, it swelled high and overtook her. She cried out their names as her body quaked under them.

Craig’s wolf rushed to the surface, drawn to the pied piper in Brenna’s passionate scream. He felt a moment of panic and out of habit tried to push the creature back into the darkness, but realized he was pushing away his feelings for her. He never felt as free as he did tonight or as at peace with himself. She was right. The wolf was another facet of his personality, just as hers and Aiden’s were, too.
