Heaven's Embrace

“Pfft.” I rolled my eyes. “I’m not opening a vein every time I need something filed. Also, when they go solid, they aren’t really thinking with their heads.”
“Ugh.” Mandy made a face. “Just promise me you won’t do it in the office.”
I held my hands up. “Can’t promise that.”
“Fine, then I’m not coming to visit you.” She stood from the desk and headed for the door. I jumped up from my seat to head her off.
“Hey now, don’t be like that. I’m sure we can work something out. I’ll buy one of those things of disinfectant wipes and keep it by the desk. You know one of those with the little holes in the top?” I gestured like I was pulling one of them out of their container.
Mandy shook her head. “Nope, I’m not doing it. I’ll just see you at the precinct.”
“Oh, come on, now. You can’t expect me to go down there all the time. I’ve got a business to run.” I put my hands on my hips and blocked the doorway.
Mandy smiled. “That you do.” Patting me on the shoulder, she pushed me aside to leave.
My cheeks starting to ache from smiling, I turned back to my office. I couldn’t believe it was really mine. I’d taken the first step into real adulthood, and I couldn’t be happier.
“What are you so happy about?” Gabriel asked, appearing in my chair.
“Yes, you do seem particularly proud of yourself.” Michael came out from the bathroom, his eyes scanning the area.
“This is my new shop.” I held my hands up waving them around. “What do you think?”
“I think it could use a bed back here,” Lucifer drawled, exiting my small kitchen area.
“I’m not going to sleep here.” I scowled at him.
Lucifer grinned wolfishly. “I wasn’t talking about for sleeping.”
I pointed a finger at him. “I’m not doing that here either. It’s my place of business, not a hookup pad.”
“Why can’t it be both?” Gabriel asked, and I smirked at him.
“Because I don’t need potential clients walking in on us. Besides, what will people think when they see me with different guys all the time?” I sat on the edge of the desk.
Michael lifted an elegant shoulder. “Tell them the truth.”
I laughed. “Oh, yeah. ‘Cause that will go over well. Oh, these are just my boyfriends, that only become solid when they want a little Jane action.”
“Boyfriends?” Lucifer arched a brow and grinned, leaning on the desk next to me. “We’re your boyfriends now?”
I blushed. “Well, uh, I didn’t mean it like that.” I stared down at the desk as they started to close in on me.
“Does that mean we get privileges?” Michael asked, and I glanced at him.
“What kind of privileges are we talking about?” I said suspiciously.
“Like, we get to have an opinion on your life,” Gabriel interjected.
I snorted. “And you don’t do that now?”
“Yeah.” Gabriel grinned. “But now it actually means something.”
Lucifer put his hand up. “I was talking about something more substantial. Like getting to participate in shower time.” He leered at me, making me squirm in place.
“I’ll think about it,” I conceded
“I’d like to weigh in on this as well.” Michael pressed against my back, buzzing tingles shooting down my spine. “Especially, those times you complain about needing new batteries, so you can relax.”
And my panties were destroyed.
“I think you might need a bit of relaxing time now, don’t you?” Lucifer exchanged a look with the guys.
“She definitely seems tense.” Gabriel stood from his chair and leaned over the desk.
Chuckling nervously, I tucked a loose hair behind my ear. “I’m fine, really, guys. No stress here. As cool as a cucumber.” When they didn’t stop looking at me like they wanted to devour me, I cleared my throat and said, “Hey, Lucifer. Have you ever heard of fire sauce?”

Author’s Note
Dear reader, if you REALLY want to read the next Her Angels novel- I’ve got a bit of bad news for you.
Unfortunately, Amazon will not tell you when the next comes out.
You’ll probably never know about my next books, and you’ll be left wondering what happened to Jane and the gang. That’s rather terrible.
There is good news though! There are three ways you can find out when the next book is published:
1) You join our mailing list by clicking here.
2) You follow J.A. on his Facebook page or join J.A.’s Facebook Group. You can also follow Erin on her Facebook Page. We always announce new books in those places as well as interact with fans.
3) You follow me on Amazon. You can do this by going to the store page (or clicking this link) and clicking on the Follow button that is under the author picture on the left side.
If you follow me, Amazon will send you an email when I publish a book. You’ll just have to make sure you check the emails they send.
Doing any of these, or all three for best results, will ensure you find out about my next book when it is published.
If you don’t, Amazon will never tell you about my next release. Please take a few seconds to do one of these so that you’ll be able to join Jane and the gang on their next adventure.
