He pulled me towards him and rolled onto his back so I was straddling him in the middle of the park.
My pants were soaked from the knees down by the time I came up for air. “How’s that for a dizzy kiss?” I asked, licking my lips.
“Not bad,” he said, shoving his hands under his head. “Not bad at all.”
“That’s a relief,” I said, studying the unevenly packed snow around us. “Because I think we messed up our angels.”
“That’s okay,” he said, smiling up at me and pushing some hair out of my face so he could lock his dark eyes on mine. “Angels are allowed to be a little messy sometimes.”
“Is that so?”
He nodded, his flushed cheeks making me melt.
I squinted at him. “And how do you know so much about angels?”
“Haven’t you heard?” he asked. “I’m going to marry one.”
