After a few long moments, I let her up, her eyes hooded with pleasure.
“I’m going to fill your mouth now,” I rumbled, my voice thick and heavy with arousal.
“Fuck my face, Nate,” she encouraged, licking her lips as the thick head throbbed inches away from her waiting lips. I was eager to indulge her and guided her down, her lips parting as the head entered her. It was thick enough to force her jaw wide open although the head was the largest part. She sighed as the shaft entered her mouth.
I wasn’t giving her a way out of this. She closed her eyes, my thick cock filling the confines of her mouth until I felt the back of her throat beckoning. Troll women liked pushing the boundaries, and from the way that Kelly had teased me, I had the feeling that she wanted me to push her boundaries the same way. But maybe not quite yet, I thought as I slowly bobbed her head on my shaft.
As I let her pull back to suck in a deep breath, she looked up into my eyes.
“You’re big,” she panted, stating the obvious.
“You can handle it?” I asked, although it wasn’t really a question. She nodded and licked her lips again as I brought her head down and filled her mouth with me, feeling her moans as she kept playing with herself. She let me control her pace as she brought her free hand up to stroke what her mouth couldn’t reach before I pulled her up again.
“So big,” she whispered hoarsely, licking her lips yet again and staring up at me as I guided my drenched cock against her neck and then down to gently rub it against her tits, coating her nipples in the mix of her saliva and my precum.
“You can handle it,” I growled, feeling the need to hold myself back as I guided her down to take me into her mouth again. She followed through eagerly and pushed herself down onto it, one hand reaching to grab my hips and pull me to thrust into her as her other hand pumped in and out of her pussy. From the sounds it made, she was wet. I felt her vibrating moans as I filled her mouth with my cock over and over again, grunting softly in pleasure as she tried to take more of me inside. She looked up into my eyes, and while her lips were spread almost as far as they could go, there was a momentary hint of a smile before her eyes rolled back. I felt her hips bucking into the bed as she came, and hard, from the looks of it. I kept fucking her face as she toyed with herself, enjoying the sensations as my hips pushed forward, stopping just short of her throat as I filled her mouth with cum, finishing where she could taste me.
She moaned again. I held her in place as the head twitched a few more times inside her mouth. To her credit, she didn’t let a drop spill out. I smiled as I watched her take a moment, gently sucking on the head as she swallowed. Only then did I let her lift her head off my shaft.
She smiled, licked her lips, and pulled her hair out of her face with the hand that had been on my hips. The other lifted to her lips, but I stopped her, taking her by the wrist and using it to pull her up and over me. I felt a light sheen of sweat on her skin.
“How do I taste?” I asked, enjoying the feel of her body over mine.
“A little sweet,” she said softly, watching as I slipped her fingers, still coated in her own cum, into my mouth. “With a hint of acidic. How about me?”
“Almost the same,” I replied, taking the time to lick her fingers clean before leaning in to kiss her lips. My hands moved up her body, lightly tracing my fingers over her skin before cupping both of her breasts and then squeezing and slowly kneading the soft flesh. “Although yours is a bit salty.”
She smiled. “I am a salty gal. With a dirty mouth on top of it.”
“I don’t disagree,” I whispered, one hand moving away from her breasts to stroke her hair.
“I want you to dirty my mouth again,” she whispered, sounding like she was drifting off to sleep. “Soon.”
“I might,” I said, and she smiled. Her hand moved on my chest as she traced idle patterns on it with her fingers. “Although I’d prefer to dirty where your fingers were the next time. Maybe along with your mouth.”
She smiled. I felt her lips curve against my chest as she kissed it.
“I’d like that,” she purred.

I left Kelly as the sun rose. It felt weird to leave a naked, human woman on my bed, but there wasn’t much I could do or say that would change what happened the night before. I’d slept well, and for a good number of hours, and she wouldn’t be up for a few more. Which meant that I still had time for a quick workout.
I wondered how she would feel about me leaving her alone in bed like that. It was still my bed. She would, I hoped, understand that I still had a life, despite the fact that we had been intimate the night before. Humans didn’t usually consider obvious facts when they made decisions, but then, trolls didn’t either. I really didn’t know how that was relevant. All I wanted was to get in a quick workout and maybe see what evidence was left behind by the security guards. I hoped that they had called the police to deal with the incident.
From the lack of crime scene tape around the area, though, I assumed that they hadn’t. It was an inconvenience to the university. I stopped nearby for a moment and shook my head before continuing with my jog. The sickeningly yellow blood still covered the gravel, for crying out loud.
I was waiting for Ryko to contact me about what I’d learned and the evidence that I’d managed to collect while trying to maintain my cover. I wanted to collect more, but more people were coming around. Too many people, I mused. There were footprints on the gravel, but there were dozens of people already emerging from the dorm buildings. And they looked a little too excited for people who were waking up only an hour or so after dawn.
They looked tired, I thought to myself, but excited. I hadn’t expected to see the two emotions paired like this.
And then I realized. It was the start of rush week. Frats were pushing people to join their ranks, swell their numbers, and make the cut to be part of their elite societies. The whole concept was a little foreign to me, but not overly so. There were similar traditions with trolls, after all, different groups, what we called “tribes” that recruited chosen trolls for specific purposes. Some were based on physical appearances, aptitudes, or bloodlines, which I guessed wasn’t all that different from the frats and sororities.
I remembered my thought from last night that rushing a fraternity might be a perfect way to figure out what the hell was going down on campus. I wondered how the Greek system would feel about having a half-troll among their numbers, but I had to at least try. In trying, I would be able to keep close to the people I was trying to protect.
And by people, I meant the entire damn university. It was a difficult, daunting, and overly ambitious task that I was setting myself to, but that was how I wanted to show myself to my FBI handlers and the people running the Myths and Monsters Branch. Ryko reminded me of an old shaman saying, that if you shoot for the moon, even if you miss, you’ll still land among the stars. ’Course, there’s also the part about shooting for the moon and falling hard on your face, but what the hell. I was going to take a chance, and I was going to get to the bottom of the mystery at USC.
I sucked in a deep breath, rolled my shoulders, and watched the beautiful people—the reps from the various frat and sorority houses—advertise the benefits of their places out in the middle of the campus, near the fountains. There were Sigma-this and Theta-that among a wide variety of houses. Some were large, others small, some with more diversity, and others that were lily-white. There were a few frat houses that appeared to have started early because I witnessed some unusual activity, what might be considered hazing, where a self-proclaimed pledge-master had fifteen or so prospects run over to a statue of the founder of the university. The square-jawed men shouted some bullshit speech they’d memorized while the pledge-master barked orders at them and told them to stand in a fountain. Then the pledges stripped down to their underwear and began shouting the speech while grabbing their dicks.
People paid upward of eighty grand a year to send their kids to USC, including room
and board. What a fucking waste.
“Fan-fucking-tastic,” I grumbled to myself, watching the pledges.
“Hey, man,” one of the recruiters, a flaxen-haired stoner said with a playful punch to my shoulder. “How would you feel about being the first troll to join TKE?”
“Half-troll,” I told the man, narrowing my eyes. “TKE?”
“Tau Kappa Epsilon, dude,” the youth replied. Thinking of him as a youth was probably a little hypocritical of me, considering that he looked like a senior, which made him about as old as I was. “What do you think? TKE material in you?”
“I guess we’ll find out,” I said, forcing a smile that I really hoped was agreeable. It didn’t seem to hurt since the man laughed and punched me in the shoulder again.
“We’re having a party at the house,” he said, pushing a pamphlet into my hand. “Join if you want to party and are thinking of rushing. We’ll start on getting you a bid in no time. Peace, bro.”
“Yeah,” I said, resisting the urge to rub my shoulder. “Peace.”
There were a lot of other recruiters in the area, trying the same tactic of inviting potential recruits to a party at the house to get a feel for how they were when they socialized before offering bids. A dozen sororities were doing the same thing, although from what I could tell, they were also keeping an eye on those who were joining the affiliated frats. I took that to mean that my little plan had some merit, at least.
As I made the rounds and collected some party invitations, I realized that I was being followed around, hounded, and noted that there were those hinting that if I took their bid, there would be a shorter and less arduous recruitment and hazing process for me. I didn’t believe them for a second, and I didn’t like being the center of attention like this. The frats liked having big, burly athletic types like me, not only because those usually meant that they were part of some of the sports teams affiliated with the university, but also because if they passed the hazing, they made excellent bouncers for the parties the frats often threw. I didn’t approve or disapprove, but it was an interesting concept. Besides, it seemed like it would help with my mission of sticking around close enough to avoid any more demon attacks.
Speaking of frats, I noticed that there was one particular frat that wasn’t pressing me to join them. I didn’t remember the name—I had always been bad with the Greek alphabet letter names—but the kid running the recruiting had a somewhat familiar face. He looked like he had forcibly ignored me for the duration of the rush, but when he saw that there was some attention coming my way, he felt the need to step in and make himself known.
“Hey, tusk-face,” the jock, whose name escaped me at the moment, finally stepped closer. He was in my way and looked like he wouldn’t move without some help from me. “I’ve noticed that you haven’t shown any interest in joining Pi Kappa Phi. Care to explain that?”
“Hey,” I said, my smile disappearing as I stepped closer. “Cal, right? Can’t say I’m interested in anything that has to do with you. But, if you want me to show up at your party, I suppose I wouldn’t mind a hit of free beer.”
Cal chuckled. “I expected Tromen to have bad taste but this borders on intentional like you want the bad shit. Either way, it’s not really my place to judge. I hope you come to the party and try to get a bid. It will be my pleasure to shoot your hopes and dreams down in flames.”
This was supposed to be trash talk, I realized from the expressions of shock and excitement on the people around me. I wasn’t sure what this guy thought he was doing, but I’d heard better burns when I was a child, practicing my hunting techniques with other children before school.
But, I wasn’t about to be drawn into a war of words with this guy. He looked like he wasn’t that well-armed, and I didn’t think it would go over well to have me gather that kind of attention. I chuckled, shook my head, and turned to walk away from him.
I heard quick footsteps over gravel. A hand gripped my shoulder, trying to turn me around. Cal had a hard time of it, apparently, since it ended up pulling him closer to me.
“Look at the goon,” the guy said. “Fucking ox—what’s the matter? Impale your tongue on one of your oversized teeth?”
Seriously, I thought, was this what was passed as trashing someone in human circles?
“Tell those girls you’ve been hanging out with to come find me. No risk of accidental puncturing while I satisfy them, am I right, fellas?”
A couple of his friends joined in, shouting, “Hell yeah,” and offering some high fives.
Truly disappointing, I thought with another headshake, figuring he meant to insult my tusks but wondered if he realized he had insulted his own manhood. I finally faced Cal, cracking my knuckles as I slowly rolled my neck. It was something I’d seen people do in films when they wanted to be intimidating.
From the way that Cal suddenly took his hand off me and stepped back, I thought that I had a pretty good grasp of the technique. It was almost as though he only now realized that he was a couple of inches shorter and lighter by at least fifty pounds.
I moved closer. He tried to back away again, but I placed a firm hand on his shoulder that stopped him in his tracks as I leaned down to whisper in his ear.
“Here’s the situation, Cal,” I growled, low enough so that only he could hear me. “There are cameras all around, security and otherwise.” I meant the fact that people were pointing their phones at us, filming in anticipation of what looked like a fight in the works. “With that and the fact that my scholarship here relies on being on my best behavior, I’m not going to initiate a fight. But if you try to start one, I recommend aiming for a knockout punch because if I’m not unconscious by the time you’re done trying to rub some feeling back into your knuckles, I’m going to tear two or three new ones in you and be one hundred percent entitled to do so. So, take your best shot, little boy.”
With those parting words, I pulled away and looked down at Cal. He didn’t seem overly intimidated. In fact, he looked rather angry, like I had somehow spoiled some grand plan of his. The fight was gone from his stance, though, and he was now trying to find a way to extract himself from this engagement with some dignity still intact.
I doubted that he would think of one.
“Not…not worth my time, anyway,” Cal muttered weakly, taking a step back, and then another as his groupies followed him closely as he turned and walked away, along with the rest of the recruiters for his frat.
I doubted that they would pad their numbers much this year.
Either way, I’d had enough of the frat boys and sorority girls for the day, and headed off, promising a couple of the more insistent gentlemen that I would indeed attend their party as they tried to convince me that there would be a lot of chicks there.
There was a part of me that idly wondered if Kelly would be at one of these parties. Rushing a frat meant that I would have to be in attendance, but there was part of me that wanted her to be there, too, if only to have a friendly face in the mix. Even though it was just a pretense to continue an investigation that she didn’t know anything about.
That was the same part of me that wanted to spill the beans to her, but considering that we…well, yes, we had only met a couple of days ago, but it already felt like we’d known each other much longer. Still, the instinct to bring her closer was there, and I knew that I needed to resist it.
I narrowed my gaze, my eyes becoming slits as I headed back to the dorm to take a shower. I wondered if I was in that stage of a ‘relationship’ where I saw her everywhere I went. As I blinked a couple of times, I realized that I wasn’t going crazy. She was sitting outside one of the campus’ small coffee shops, enjoying the sunlight and some time with none other than Jennifer.
I watched them talking and laughing. I was too far away to hear what they said, making me wonder if it was about me.
Almost as if on cue, Kelly turned her head when Jen gestured, and they both saw me. They waved. I waved back, feeling a little off-put. What were the
y talking about? If it was about me, what were they discussing? It wasn’t like there was a lack of topics to cover, although I didn’t really feel comfortable with them discussing either of the most current events they’d been involved in.
Kelly waved me over. I sighed, coming to terms with the fact that I’d be late for morning classes no matter what I did. I shook my head, brushed my hair back when some of it fell into my face, and jogged over to see what they wanted.
“Hey, Nate,” Kelly said. Jen giggled in the background.
“Hey, Kelly,” I said, narrowing my eyes at Jennifer until she stopped. “What’s up? How’s it going?”
“My jaw’s still a little sore,” Kelly said, and I saw a small grin cross Jen’s face. “But otherwise, not too bad.”
“We were just talking about you,” Jennifer said and sipped her coffee. “As it turns out, Kelly and I go way back, since we grew up on the same street in Malibu, so imagine my surprise when she told me that she was sharing rooms with none other than the troll on campus, Nate Ellison.”
“Half-troll,” I corrected under my breath. From the way that Jen and Kelly both eyed me, like a piece of meat in the best of ways, I assumed that Kelly had shared some details about her midnight snack with her best friend. Or whatever their relationship was.
“Yeah,” Kelly said, picking up the conversational reins. “She mentioned that we might get some help for those problems she had in class. The ones that I have, too. Do you think you could help us? We need it. Bad.”
I looked down at Kelly, tilting my head. She hadn’t made any effort to mask what she actually meant, especially with that little lip-bite at the end. I hadn’t expected this sort of thing from her. Then again, there were a lot of things from her that I hadn’t been expecting, and she seemed to be the instigator. Who was I to deny her something she wanted?
“Sure, I can help,” I said with a shrug. I still didn’t quite believe that Jen would come back to the dorm with us, but the woman, still dressed in her cheerleader uniform—either fresh from or going to practice, I assumed—stood and linked arms with Kelly. They headed back to the dorm room, with me following closely behind. They kept on talking, discussing their plans for the day. Jennifer said that she was given a couple of days off from classes due to what happened the night before.
