Helios Renewed (The Helios Chronicles #3)

Callie had searched endlessly before finally finding what she was looking for: a couple where the groom was wearing a kilt. Meanwhile, Madison wasn’t exactly sure what she wanted until she found it. Andrew had laughed when he saw it but said, hell yeah, that’s us, baby, so there was no question about it. She had to have it. The topper consisted of a man dressed in a tuxedo wearing leather boots and riding a Harley with his bride right behind him. At first, Liam and Olivia weren’t sure about these particular toppers but then realized that the girls had basically given them free rein and if they wanted these on the cake then they would have them. It took some work but Liam was able to perfectly align both toppers on the cake beautifully. Callie smiled as she saw someone nodding and smiling at the cake.
“Madison, people love our toppers. I’m going to make sure Liam puts them aside for us.”
“There is seriously a part of me that wants to have Helios take me for a ride on his Harley right now, just like that topper.”
“Well, if you decide to, let me know so I can get a picture,” Callie said with a wink.
Andrew grinned at the possibility but knew that wasn’t going to happen. They would be leaving in a few hours to catch a plane to Jamaica. He and Jayden had let the women decide where they were going to go and were actually shocked at their selection. Andrew had also panicked slightly as he had never been out of the country, and when they looked online, he realized he would need a passport. He didn’t breathe a sigh of relief until the expedited passport came in the mail. The couples had reserved two cabins on an island off of Jamaica’s shores. Andrew chuckled to himself. These weren’t anything like cabins as far as Andrew was concerned. They were more like extravagant homes, both of which were close to the water. Although they wouldn’t be too far from each other, Andrew imagined they wouldn’t be seeing very much of their friends. At least that was Andrew’s intention. They heard people clapping and turned toward the dance floor where Skylar and Logan were tearing it up.
“They’re great dancers,” Callie smiled as she watched them.
“I think she danced professionally before,” Madison added.
“She’s been awesome,” Jayden said just as Logan spun Skylar.
“She has.” Callie concurred. “I worried a little about how people would take her being here because I didn’t want her hassled but so far everyone has been wonderful.”
Madison snorted and glanced at Connor. “Of course, someone has already posted, ‘don't hate me cause I’m chillin' with Skylar Chase’, on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.”
Connor grinned sheepishly and then Jewel added, “Tumblr as well.”
“You have a Tumblr account?” Jayden asked.
“Oh, yes, he has an account strictly dedicated to Skylar. He’s a total fanboy,” Jewel said, kissing his completely reddened cheek.
“And to think you have hid that from us for so long,” Andrew grinned, shaking his head and making a tsk, tsk, noise.
“Ya know,” Jayden motioned his head towards Logan. “I think you could take him but it’s gonna break poor Jewel’s heart.”
“We’ll hook her up, no problem,” Andrew added.
“Oh, shut up,” Connor laughed and tossed his napkin across the table, landing between them.
“That’s the best you got?” Jayden asked with tilt of his head.
Suddenly, Connor was up and so was Jayden, running around the table like a couple of young children. Everyone at the table laughed as did the guests when they realized what was happening. After a couple of times around, Jayden stopped at his chair holding on to the back of it, catching his breath. Connor stopped as well but he wasn’t winded.
Connor pointed at him and laughed. “Old man, how you gonna handle Callie?”
Jayden started to say something but stopped when he saw his mom and uncle coming up to their table. Amelia was carrying a sleeping Ellie in her arms.
“We are going to lay Ellie down in the crib.”
“Oh, I can take her,” Callie said getting up.
“No, let us. We don’t get to spend much time with her,” Amelia urged.
“Callie,” Jayden kissed her temple, “let’s go dance. They got her.”
Callie smiled and nodded. She and Jayden stood just as her brother, who was their disc jockey, announced that he was going to slow it down. Andrew glanced at Madison.
“Come on, baby.”
“You don’t like dancing,” she smiled.
“I love dancing with you. Besides,” he stood and reached for her hand. “A slow song means I get to hold you close to me.”
“That sounds really good,” she replied almost shyly.
A song began playing and Andrew pulled Madison to him. Taking one of her hands in his, he brought it up and placed it over his heart. She smiled as her other hand went to his shoulder. He looked deeply into her eyes while he pulled her closer to him. His penetrating gaze made her lose her breath. He was her husband, her life and her partner for all of eternity. They watched each other as they listened to the words of the song and swayed gently to the music. As the song came to a close and another began, he kissed her.
“I’m going to grow old with you, Mrs. Harrison.”
“That’s good because I plan on living a long time,” she said with tears in her eyes as he smiled and kissed her again.

AUTHOR NOTE
I want to thank you for reading Helios Renewed, the third book in The Helios Chronicles. This book tended to be a little longer than expected but I needed to end it where I did.
In this book, our couple goes through a lot, again But, I think what’s different about this one versus Exposed, is that they go through it together. There isn’t that whole ‘cut & run’ thing happening. They both realized that they had to do this together. I hope you are happy with how this came to be. I loved tying up all the loose ends and having everyone get what they deserve in life, good or bad.
I do have the epilogue just about finished. It will be called Helios Forever. It’s just a glimpse into their life after things finally settle down for them. It will be written much like Helios Beginnings was, four parts that chronicle a certain time of their lives. My goal is to have it out by December. I also have a novella mostly written of Elias and Liam’s backstory, tentatively entitled, Sunday Kind of Love. As you all know, I have a serious thing for those two and just had to write it. I’m not certain at this point if I will publish it or not, but, I am considering it. If I do, it won’t be out until 2019.
Have a great one everybody and thanks so much for your support of Helios and I .
