Bray shook his head, still smiling. "Apparently, Watkins seduced the guy months ago, back when he was hired by your father to find you," he told Ruari. "Then Wyndham found out he'd been doing a little too much snooping into his business, so he caught him. The guard discovered he'd been played, so he wasn’t happy, and then he got tasked with guarding Watkins. And yesterday, when we freed them, Watkins insisted we take the guard, whose name is Lev, by the way. Now Lev is pissed he's being held against his will here, and we need to make a decision about what to do with him. It's the craziest story ever, and I'm not touching that with a ten-foot pole. I'll let your brother figure that one out," he said with a wink at Kean.

Kean could feel his mouth drop open a little before he closed it again. "What the hell happened to you?" he asked, and it might not have been the most subtle way of asking, but it came from his heart.

"What do you mean?" Bray asked, and Kean could see his defenses go up. His shoulders pulled up slightly, and his face tightened, those gorgeous brown eyes going distant and cold. Dammit, he had fucked it up with his careless question. He should have known Bray would take that the wrong way. To be fair, it had been rather tactless.

"No," he said, his voice pleading. "Don't close yourself off again. I'm sorry, it came out wrong."

"What did you mean to say?" Bray asked, his voice slightly warmer, but his shoulders still tense.

All Kean knew was that he had to fix this. With his impulsive question, he had made Bray feel like he was doing something wrong, when that was the absolute opposite of what he'd been trying to say. He put down his fork and knife, then on impulse, got up. "Turn your chair toward me," he told Bray. "Please," he added when the alpha didn't immediately respond.

Bray's eyes showed weariness when he did what Kean asked, then surprise when Kean immediately stepped over him, straddling him and parking his ass squarely on Bray's lap. "I'm sorry," he said. "That came out completely wrong. What I was trying to say was that you seem different, so much more open, and I like it. You're talking to us, sharing things you don't usually say much about, and I love it."

"I love it too," Ruari said, and then he got up as well, and Kean gladly made a spot for him on Bray's lap.

The alpha looked a little shocked even as he possessively held both of them. "Yeah?" he asked.

Kean and Ruari nodded simultaneously. "We love it when you talk to us about your day, yourself, anything that's on your mind," Ruari said softly.

Bray's face relaxed, a careful smile playing on his lips. "Lidon said that I should try and talk to you guys more, open myself up. It's hard, because I'm not used to it, but I want to try."

Kean's heart thumped furiously, as if it was about to beat out of his chest. The idea that proud Bray had talked about them with the pack alpha, had asked his advice…it was an incredible show of the alpha's willingness to learn and invest in this relationship.

And then other words forced themselves out, words that were just as impulsive as his previous statement, but they came straight from his heart. Words that had been circling in the back of his mind, in the depth of his heart for a long time now. Words that had been true even before he'd been able to understand why, because he hadn't yet seen the man behind the mask. Words that needed to be said now, because Bray needed to know.

"I love you," Kean said. "I think I've loved you from the moment I met you, even when I thought you were an ass. But my love for you has grown every day. I love you, and I will spend the rest of my life making sure that you know that."

Bray stared at Kean, whose blue eyes looked at him with a steadiness and love that floored him. Kean loved him? He blinked a few times, Kean's look never changing. "You love me?" Bray asked, just in case he had misunderstood.

  "I do," Kean said.

"I don't know what to say," Bray said. He looked at Ruari, who was sporting an expression almost identical to Kean’s, then back to Kean.

Kean smiled at him. "That's okay. You don't have to say anything. I just wanted to tell you."

So many things were going through Bray's head at the same time. Surprise, because he had not seen this coming. Admiration that Kean could just say things like that. How Bray wished he could, that he was that in touch with his feelings and had the words to express them. A little guilt, too, because weren't you supposed to say it back? But he didn't want to lie to him, and he wasn't ready to call the conflicted mess of things inside him love. Maybe it was, but he wasn't there yet.

"Thank you," he finally said, and that made Kean's smile widen, so he figured he'd at least said the right thing. And then, because Kean had been so brave and said something when he wasn't sure how it would be received, he added, "I don't know what I feel inside. It's…complicated."

Kean leaned forward for a soft kiss that left Bray's lips tingling. "I know. There's no pressure here, Bray. We have time to figure it all out."

Bray nodded, relieved that Kean wasn't pushing him into anything he wasn’t ready for. Then something struck him, and he frowned a little. "Why do the two of you have these pet names for each other, but you never call me anything?"

The surprise on Kean and Ruari's face was almost identical. "I can't speak for Kean, but for me, it's because I wasn't sure if you wanted me to," Ruari said.

"Same here. Look, Bray, you have to understand where we're coming from. The two of us, we've always been interested in something long term. You made it clear you only wanted sex at first. I understand that has changed, but we still don't know where you stand," Kean said.

"But we're mates," Bray said, baffled by their explanation. "I thought that by accepting that, I had made it clear that I'm in this for the long term. Did I miss something? Was there something I should have said or done?"

"No, not you specifically," Kean said. "I think that we really need to learn how to communicate with each other. I just wasn't sure how comfortable you were with the idea of us being mates and being together and in it for the long term. I know you've been open about it to the rest of the pack, but I wasn't sure if you were comfortable with being affectionate in public."

Bray shrugged. "I have no problem with that. We're together, why shouldn't we show that to everyone else?" As soon as he said it, he realized the underlying hypocrisy of his statement. "Because before, I had an issue with both the pack alpha's foursome and my father and his boys demonstrating their love for each other in public," he answered his own question.

"Exactly," Ruari said. "That's why we’re a little careful with you."

"It probably sounds like the most stupid cliché ever, but it feels different now," Bray admitted. "So I guess I was wrong for judging them, and probably a little jealous of what they had."

Kean suppressed a smile, but his eyes were still sparkling. "Does that mean you're open to doing a live porn show?" he teased. "Because I would be down with that."

Bray felt his cheeks heat up. "The way you and Ruari did that little hand job in the hallway?" he said, determined not to let Kean get the best of him.

Kean grinned. "Dude, you were so fucking jealous."

Ruari let out a little sigh, shifting on Bray's lap. "God, that was so hot." He batted his eyelashes at Kean. "You make the most amazing sounds when you come."

"So do you," Kean said, and then those two leaned in for a kiss, right in front of Bray's face. It started soft and sweet, so achingly sweet, then grew more intense. Ruari let out these little sighs, these tiny whimpers that shot straight to Bray’s balls. And Kean, he dove into that kiss like he dove into everything, never holding back. He gave so much, living and loving with his whole heart in a way that made Bray ache for him at times. To have that much courage and strength, it was beyond him.

And Ruari, sweet, sassy Ruari, who had as much backbone as Kean and Bray himself. So eager to take care of them, while at the same time strong enough to demand to be on equal footing. His devotion to Jax was complete, his first thought always to make sure his son was okay, followed by that same devotion to his men. He deserved to be spoiled, to be treasured
and cherished, Bray thought. He could only hope he'd be worthy enough. His feelings for the two of them, they were so big inside him, so scary, that he pushed them down again. They had time, Kean had said, and Bray would hold him to that.

As if in unspoken agreement, Kean and Ruari ended the kiss, then turned their heads toward Bray.

"Let's serve our alpha," Ruari said, boldly cupping Bray's iron-hard cock for a second.

"Sounds like a plan," Kean agreed, leaning in for a kiss.

Bray kissed him back, eager, not even protesting when Kean took charge and sucked his tongue into his mouth. Hands roamed his body, touching him everywhere. Kean let him go for a second and Bray obediently raised his hands, allowing Ruari to take his shirt off. But Kean latched onto his mouth again instantly, and Bray let him, closing his eyes as an onslaught of sensations assaulted his body.

Ruari was peppering his neck with little kisses, then his earlobe. When he grazed it with his teeth, Bray moaned into Kean's mouth. They were driving him crazy, these two. But it was the best kind of crazy. And where before, he would've wanted to take charge, he was now content to let them do whatever they wanted to him.

Ruari's hands kept exploring his back, then snaked around to his front, petting his muscles, rolling his nipples until they were throbbing little buds. God, he was hard, so hard. Nimble hands unbuckled his pants, and he obediently raised his ass from the chair so they could be dragged down, his underwear following in the same move. The chair was cold to his naked ass, but he didn't care.

Then Kean stopped kissing him, but before he could complain, Ruari took his place, attacking his mouth with fervor. Ah, how sweet he tasted, a stark contrast with Kean's sharp teeth that were now nibbling on his nipples. Ruari eagerly swallowed the little yelp he let out when Kean bit down a bit harder, never crossing the line from pleasure into too much pain. And oh, when Kean soothed the little bud with his tongue, it was the best thing ever.

Well, not the best thing ever, because Bray's body kept soaring higher and higher, hands roaming everywhere, teasing him, caressing him, stroking him, but never touching where he needed to be touched the most. Bray let out another moan that was caught by Ruari's wet, hot mouth.

Then that strong, callused hand finally wrapped around his cock, and Bray could've wept with relief. God, no one could hold him like Kean did, with so much strength in his grip. He knew how to squeeze too, tight enough to be perfect but not so painful it was too much. And the way he could… Oh god, like that. He was spreading the leaking precum from his cock all over with his thumb, putting perfect pressure on his slit. Bray bucked into his hand, unable to sit still.

Ruari let go of his mouth, and Bray's head fell back as a long, deep moan fell from his lips. When he felt a wet tongue lick the head of his cock, his eyes flew open. Ruari was on his knees between his legs, Kean positioning himself right next to him, and Bray looked down on his men in utter adoration. They shared another wet kiss with each other first, then in perfect synchronization, bent in to kiss Bray's cock.

He wanted to say something, but the words wouldn't come. All he could do was feel as one tongue licked a stripe up his cock, then the other. Another sloppy, noisy kiss, before they did the same. And then their tongues found each other against his cock, catching it between their mouths, licking and sucking each other as much as him, and Bray went crazy. He made sounds he'd never made before as they pushed him higher and higher.

Kean's hand circled his cock and Ruari lowered his mouth again, suckling at the head, teasing him with his tongue, before allowing him—fucking finally—to sink deep into his throat. Bray held onto the chair with all he had to prevent himself from slamming into his mouth. Ruari sucked him until he ran out of breath and pulled back, only to be replaced by Kean who did the exact same thing. They tag-teamed him until he sat shivering in the chair, his balls painfully tight against his body.

"Close," he grunted, unable to even form complete sentences, his brain short-circuiting with pleasure. “So fucking close.”

Seconds later, he roared as he came, not even sure whose mouth he unloaded in. His vision went white with pleasure, and he bucked into the mouth circling him until he’d spilled his last drop. Two tongues cleaned his dick, licking him everywhere, as Bray sagged in the chair, utterly boneless from that explosive orgasm.

"When you guys are done driving Bray crazy, Palani kindly requests the pleasure of your company in the main kitchen," Vieno’s voice suddenly sounded, clearly amused.

Bray crashed down from his postorgasmic bliss. So far for not wanting to do a live porn show. Dammit.

Enar had just done another checkup on both Duer and Watkins—calling him by his first name, Naran, took a little getting used to—when he stepped back into the hallway and found Lidon waiting for him.

“Hey,” Enar said, surprised to find him there.

“Hi,” Lidon said, then gathered Enar close for one of those toe-curling kisses that left him breathless.

When Lidon was done, Enar had to hold on to him for a second or two to regain his balance. “Okay,” he said with a laugh. “Wow. What can I do for you?”

Something flashed through Lidon’s eyes, too quick for him to make out. “How are they doing?”

Enar had no trouble answering, since both men had given him permission to share updates with the pack, much to his relief. That made things a lot easier, though he would’ve respected it had they said no. “Duer is recovering well, though still in pain, of course, and he will be for a while. I told him to start moving around as long as he takes it slow and asks for help, so hopefully he’ll be able to hang out in the kitchen for a bit.”

  Lidon nodded. “Good. And Watkins?”

Enar sighed. “They broke both his legs after he attempted to escape. Melloni splinted them and he did the best he could, but…”

“Will they heal well enough for him to walk?” Lidon asked.

“It’s hard for me to tell because I don’t have an X-ray machine, and even if I did, he needs an orthopedic surgeon, not an OB/GYN.”

“This is me you’re talking to, not a patient or a patient’s family. Give it to me straight.”

Enar understood why Lidon was asking. Watkins had tried to find out information because of him, because of the pack. That he’d gotten injured in the process weighed heavy on Lidon’s conscience, just like Duer’s injuries.

“Maybe, but I’m not sure. I’d know more if we could run some X-rays.”

“Can we try to bring him into a clinic?”

“We can, but they’ll ask questions, especially considering he’s an alpha. Injured omegas, no one will bat an eye, but a big guy like him with injuries like that, people will notice,” Enar said.

Lidon frowned. “Hmm, true. I’ll ask Palani if he can figure something out.”

Enar smiled. “If he can’t, no one can.”

Rather than amused, Lidon seemed to be irritated by something. “That’s not what I wanted to discuss with you, though,” he said.

  “What’s wrong?” Enar asked.

“Why would you assume something is wrong?”

Enar was starting to get a little worried by Lidon’s strange behavior. “Because you’re frowning, and you seem frustrated.”

To his surprise, Lidon cupped his cheeks and kissed him again, a much softer kiss than before that left his belly dancing. Lidon rested his forehead against Enar’s, not speaking for a few beats.

“You know, you so rarely ask for anything,” he said, his voice soft. “Vieno, he’s so wonderfully needy, and he’ll seek me out and tell me what he wants from me. Palani, he simply takes what he needs, and it just so happens it usually coincides with what I crave as well. But you, you’re different. Your needs aren’t on the surface, like Vieno’s. And you don’t take, like Palani.”

Enar swallowed. “Is that a bad thing?” he whispered, strangely emotional after that little speech.

“No, my love. But it makes me neglect you at times, and that’s on me.
I need to work harder with you, and I forget sometimes.”

“It’s okay,” Enar said, Lidon’s sad tone reaching deep inside him.

Lidon cupped his cheeks again, looking him straight in his eyes with those razor-sharp brown eyes. “No, it’s not. With Vieno and Palani, it comes easier because they force me, but you, you’ve been so used to me being my careless self over the years that you stopped calling me out on it.”

“I love you,” Enar offered, not knowing what else to say.

“I know you do, and god knows I love you. I’m just doing a shitty job showing you lately.”

Enar’s heart softened at this proud man admitting his mistakes. “Come sit with me for a spell,” he said, pulling them both down on the floor in the hallway, sitting with their backs against the wall. “What brought this on?” he asked.

Lidon sighed. “I was talking to Bray a couple of days ago. He asked me how I managed to build a relationship with all three of you, and I gave him this whole spiel about learning to communicate and be open about your feelings and shit. But when I thought about it, really thought about it, I’m not doing that enough with you.”

“It makes sense you talk more to them than to me,” Enar said. “Vieno needs you, and Palani is your right hand.”

“You need to stop making excuses for me,” Lidon said, his tone both pleading and sharp as he took Enar’s hand and laced their fingers together. “You’re enabling bad behavior from me. You deserve my attention just as much as the other two, so stop pretending like it’s okay when I don’t give it to you.”

It was a bit of a shock for Enar to realize Lidon was right. He’d somehow gotten in the habit of making up excuses for Lidon, either in his head or to the man himself, even when he knew it wasn’t the truth. “You’re right,” he said, still somewhat surprised at the realization.

“Of course I’m right,” Lidon said, making Enar laugh.

He dropped his head on Lidon’s shoulder, letting out a sigh of contentment when Lidon wrapped that strong arm around him. “Was that why you waited for me?” he asked in a small voice.
