Bray pulled out of him and gestured Kean over. And what should have been weird and raunchy was the most beautiful experience of Kean’s life as he willingly laid down for his alpha and spread his legs wide. Just before he pushed inside him, Bray brought his mouth close to Kean’s ear. “Don’t ever think this is weakness, you surrendering to me. It’s strength, my love, do you hear me? It’s pure strength.”

And then he sank inside him, going slower than with Ruari, because he knew that even with prep, Kean needed a little more time. He breathed out, pushed back against him, allowing his body to take him in. Bray waited patiently until Kean relaxed.

“Oh Kean, I promise I’ll be worthy of your surrender,” Bray said softly and leaned in for a quick kiss. Then he rose up on his arms and looked at Kean as the now familiar words rang out once again.

“Kean, my love, do you accept my alpha as your mate for life, sealing our unbreakable bond as long as we both shall live?”

Kean’s heart soared, his mind almost disconnecting from his body and soul. “Yes, my alpha. Do you accept my beta as your mate for life, sealing our unbreakable bond as long as we both shall live?”

  “Yes, my beta.”

Bray thrusted deep inside him, and Kean opened wide for the onslaught, bracing himself for the impact of the alpha’s full power. The third thrust came with Bray’s teeth, and Kean welcomed it, embracing the sharp bite that fired up his nerves throughout his body. Oh, god. His balls jerked tight against his body, seconds from unloading.

Bray roared, his alpha roar thundering through Kean’s body, the power too much to resist. He came without even touching himself, shooting thick ropes of cum all over the two of them. In the same moment, he felt Bray filling him, and his seed had never felt like that, so powerful and hot.

From a distance, he registered Grayson speaking. “They are three and they are one, alpha, beta, and omega. Three hearts, one soul. Three bodies, one mind. What we bind together, no man will ever break apart.”

It was like a mist descended upon the three of them, swallowing them up, creating their own little world where they were untouchable, insatiable, unstoppable. They lost track of what happened around them. All they saw were each other. Bray and Ruari, they were Kean’s whole world, and he was theirs. They were one in ways he’d never thought possible.

And then it did rain, somehow, even though it was a clear night, and Kean didn’t care. He was whole, free, and hornier than he’d even been in his life. He lost count of how many times he came, but they didn’t go inside until dawn broke, their bodies exhausted but their souls more alive than ever.

They woke up late, with the sun high in the sky, burning down on Omega One. Bray stretched out carefully, not wanting to wake his mates, but when he opened his eyes, he found them both staring at him already. His face broke open in a giddy smile, his heart still so full of happiness it felt like it would burst.

“Hey, gorgeous,” Ruari said, his voice teasing. “I don’t mind waking up next to you for the next eighty years.”

“No?” Bray said, then forgot all about morning breath and reached out to him for a soft kiss. He groaned as he moved, eliciting snickers from Kean and Ruari.

“Little sore there, alpha?” Kean teased.

Bray kissed him too, then let his body rest again. “I feel like I ran a marathon.”

“You did. With your dick,” Ruari said, his eyes dancing.

“Your hole must be…” Bray said, wincing.

The omega grinned. “Oh yeah, I’m feeling it. But it was worth it.”

  “Totally worth it,” Kean agreed.

“Did our claiming affect the pack?” Bray asked. “I know we talked about others maybe shifting, but what happened?”

Kean and Ruari looked at each other, then laughed. “I have no idea. I was a little busy, you know,” Kean said.

“Seriously,” Ruari said with a cheeky grin. “There could’ve been an orgy and I wouldn’t have noticed.”

They were still laughing when there was a knock at their door. “Seriously?” Kean asked, frowning. “Who the fuck would disturb us now?”

“Maybe there’s something wrong with Jax,” Ruari said, worry filling his voice.

Bray reached out for his hand to reassure him as he called out, “Who is it?”

“It’s Palani. Can I come in? I wouldn’t disturb you if it wasn’t urgent.”

Bray reached for a sheet to cover all of them, which was a little ridiculous after last night’s performance, but whatever. “Come in!”

Palani’s face was deadly serious when he walked in, and Bray’s heart dropped. Whatever this was, it wasn’t good.

“Jax is fine,” Palani said, and all three of them let out a breath of relief. “But you guys need to come. There’s been disturbing news, and we need everyone in Jawon’s House.”

Bray forgot all about them being naked and rushed out of bed, reaching for his clothes. “What happened?”

“York has been killed,” Palani said.

Bray halted his movements, his shorts halfway on his hips. “What?”

“Just come as quick as you can,” Palani said, and he hurried off before they could ask more questions.

They got dressed within a minute, not bothering with showers or hair or anything else. When they got to Jawon’s House, they found everyone gathered in the living room, their eyes glued to the TV. Bray held his mates close as they settled on the floor to watch, still uncertain what was going on.

“Details are emerging about the vicious attack on the prime minister’s private ranch, which took the life of Prime Minister York, his personal assistant, as well as a few guests of the prime minister, whose names have not been released to the public yet.”

Bray could barely hold back a gasp. York was dead. Who had…? He didn’t need to wait long.

“Police have confirmed the attack was carried out by a paramilitary group, led by this man, former high-ranking police officer Karl Ryland, who died in the attack. Ryland stormed the prime minister’s ranch with about fifty men, who overpowered the security personnel present and killed everyone on site. The ranch was then set on fire, and the fire department is still fighting the fire that has now developed into a wildfire, burning hundreds of acres of land surrounding the prime minister’s compound.”

He came to the conclusion at the same time as Palani voiced it. “The planned attack Duer warned us about, it was never aimed at us.”

“Ryland played Wyndham,” Bray said. “And Wyndham played Ryland, or maybe he thought he did.”

“They killed the prime minister,” Kean said slowly. “They assassinated the democratic chosen leader. This means war.”

Bray looked around the room at all the grim faces staring at the TV, then met Lidon’s eyes. “Then we’ll make sure we’re ready,” the pack alpha said, and a hush fell over the room. “We stand our ground. No matter what may come, we hold our ground. This is our land, our pack, our time.”

His father cleared his throat, and Bray looked in shock as the man’s face seemed to take on an unnatural glow, his eyes focusing on something Bray couldn’t see. His voice was rich and deep as he spoke, and Bray held Ruari and Kean close.

“When the times are at their darkest, the True Omega will rise from this pack. He will carry the child who will be the vessel to bring back our powers. He will unite his mates and use their power to enforce his will, to heal, and even to bring back life to what was dead.”

A collective gasp rose up from the pack, and then all eyes traveled to Vieno, who sat shaking next to his alpha. The True Omega. Bray let the title roll on his tongue, feeling the power behind it. They had the True Alpha and the True Omega in their midst. Lidon was right. They were ready to face whatever might come.

Change would come, trouble would come, but they’d survive. The Hayes pack would survive. The storyteller had spoken.

  Meet Nora Phoenix

Would you like the long or the short version of my bio?

  The short? You g
ot it.

I write steamy gay romance books and I love it. I also love reading books. Books are everything.

  How was that?

  A little more detail? Gotcha.

I started writing my first stories when I was a teen…on a freaking typewriter. I still have these, and they’re adorably romantic. And bad, haha. Fear of failing kept me from following my dream to become a romance author, so you can imagine how proud and ecstatic I am that I finally overcame my fears and self-doubt and did it. I adore my genre because I love writing and reading about flawed, strong men who are just a tad broken…but find their happy ever after anyway.

My favorite books to read are pretty much all MM/gay romances as long as it has a happy end. Kink is a plus… Aside from that, I also read a lot of nonfiction and not just books on writing. Popular psychology is a favorite topic of mine and so are self-help and sociology.

Hobbies? Ain’t nobody got time for that. Just kidding. I love traveling, spending time near the ocean, and hiking. But I love books more.
