“Fuck…” Max groaned, lifting his hips, pushing up inside his husband’s tight, warm body. “Oh, baby…you feel so good.” Max curled his hand around Horatio’s erection and slowly stroked the rigid shaft, sending shivers rippling through Horatio’s body.

A light sheen of sweat glistened Horatio’s skin as his breath quickened and he rocked a little faster. “Oh, my God…” he gasped softly. His head tilted back and eyes closed. “Yes, Max…” He pumped his shaft through Max’s fist with each sensual roll of his hips. “Oh, God…yes…”

Max’s cock stretched deeper inside Horatio and he thrust a bit harder. He wouldn’t last long; his balls had been full and tight for nearly two days, and Horatio’s tight caverns felt too damn good squeezing Max’s throbbing member.

Leaning forward, Max released Horatio’s shaft and wrapped the man in his arms. Horatio opened his eyes and hugged Max’s head, kissing him with urgency as their passion heightened and they fucked harder, faster. Whimpers and cries squeezed out around their hungry kiss, their need to release imminent and desperate.

“Oh, fuck…” Max gasped and took Horatio down to the bed. They clung to one another, thrusting together wildly. Max choked on a whimper. “Horatio…oh God…baby, I’m so close…”

Horatio curled his legs around Max’s damp, heated body and fucked him harder, shoving Max over the edge. He cried out sharply and emptied himself inside Horatio, pumping furiously, face tense and strained with raw ecstasy.

“Uuuhh!” Horatio suddenly yelled and gouged Max’s back, his body convulsing as cum shot out of him, squirting all over them both. “Fuuck!”

Max continued to thrust into him until Horatio’s orgasm released him and he relaxed against the bed. Max shuddered and sank to his elbows on top of Horatio and kissed him softly, his breath shaky. “I love you,” he whispered. “You are my life, Horatio.” He kissed him again as tears formed. “You are my very existence.” Max pressed a tender kiss between his eyes. “You always were, from the moment we met.”

Tears seeped down Horatio’s temples as he stared up at Max with the same intense look of love and adoration and affection as he used to look at him when they were teenagers and falling in love for the very first time. His throat worked and rather than try to speak, he took Max in another kiss, sliding his arms around his neck, hugging him close.

In so many ways, Max still saw Horatio as that sweet, vulnerable teenage boy who had so readily and eagerly given Max his heart, his body, his very soul. Maybe he would always see him that way because, deep inside, Max still felt like that teenage boy who was swept away by Horatio’s pure, unconditional love.

A love that had somehow stood the test of time and beat the odds, and held out hope for Max when all hope was gone.

Max came out of the kiss with a quiet shudder and gazed down into the flushed handsome face of his husband. Had things gone as planned way back then, they would be celebrating their twentieth anniversary right about now.

But we wouldn’t have our family.

The past couldn’t be recaptured, but Max realized that was okay; the present would do just fine. They were together, in love, and married.

Could it get any better than that?

“Can we sleep out here and watch tv all night?” Jules hopped in place on his knees on the carpet. Next to him, Reuben giggled as he looked up shyly at Clint and Axel to await their answer. Noah and Noel grinned hopefully, their focus on the cowboy.

Axel suppressed a laugh; they’d figured out quickly that they had the cowboy wrapped around their little fingers, and he was the one to appeal to.

Clint glanced at Axel who smiled back at him. “Your call, cowboy.”

“Yay!” Jules squealed and hugged Reuben, tumbling them both down on the carpet.

  This time Axel did laugh.

“Wait,” Clint grumbled. “I didn’t say yes yet.”

Jules rolled his eyes and flopped onto his back across Reuben’s legs, a grin on his little face. “But you will.”

Axel laughed harder and Clint scowled at him, which made the twins burst out laughing.

“You’re out of your league,” Axel sighed, holding back more laughter. “They got your number and they’re dialing it like crazy.”

Clint slowly cocked an eyebrow. “And they don’t have your number?”

  Chuckling softly, Axel shrugged. “Maybe.”

  Clint huffed.

“You guys can sleep out here with us,” Noel suggested eagerly.

“Yeah!” Jules jumped to his feet and raced over, flinging his arms around Clint’s leg. “Pleeaase?”

Axel grinned. “Don’t you know he’s too old to sleep on the floor? His back might go out.” He pursed his lips in a teasing smile as Clint narrowed his eyes at him.

“He can share the couch with me,” Noah offered. “There’s enough room.”

Axel could already see Clint weakening in the face of Noah’s hopeful smile. Axel stepped in. “I’ll tell you what; we’ll hang out with you guys and watch tv until all of you fall asleep. Will that do?”

  The four kids agreed excitedly.

“All right then,” Axel smiled. “If we’re going to watch movies, then we need popcorn.”

The two little boys screeched in agreement and ran into the kitchen with Axel. Noel joined them moments later and helped Axel remove the microwave popcorn bags from their plastic casings. Jules and Reuben were perched on the counter and opened the microwave. Axel let them put the first bag into the microwave and close the door, then he showed them what buttons to push to get it started.

Axel stepped back over to the living room entrance, started to speak to Clint, then paused and smiled as he watched the cowboy get settled at one end of the sofa. He placed a small pillow on his leg and carefully laid Noah’s foot on the pillow while another pillow supported Noah’s leg under his knee.

Rubbing his hand across his smile, Axel asked, “What do you two want to drink?”

“Anything’s fine for me,” Clint answered.

Noah rested back against a larger pillow that propped his shoulders. “Me, too.” He already seemed about to drift off, but Axel suspected his medication made him a bit drowsy. Hopefully, he wouldn’t fall asleep too soon; Axel was sure he’d be disappointed if he missed most of the movie and just hanging out with them.

When the microwave dinged, Axel transferred the popcorn to a large bowl and the two little boys took it into the living room while Axel made a second bag. Noel remained in the kitchen and filled four glasses with iced tea and set out a couple juice boxes for Jules and Reuben. He seemed quiet and distracted.

  “You okay?” Axel asked.

Noel looked up and nodded. “Yeah,” he answered quietly. “I was just thinking about Noah and Chris again.”

“It seems maybe you think about it more than Noah does,” Axel smiled.

Noel shrugged and went quiet again.

“Is something about it bothering you?” Axel frowned. “You do like Chris, don’t you? He seems like a really nice guy to me.”

“I like him,” Noel replied quickly, honestly. “He is nice. I was just thinking…” he lowered his eyes and fidgeted. “Noah and I have always been together. We’re almost never apart, we do everything together.” He went silent and stared at his feet.

“And you think you might lose that closeness with him if he starts dating Chris?” Axel asked softly.

  Noel nodded without looking up.

Axel smiled and wrapped his arm around the boy. “Well, if they do date, it won’t be for a few years yet. By then, who knows, maybe you’ll have someone, too. Maybe you can double date sometimes.”

Noel wasn’t encouraged. “I think I’d be too scared to date,” he whispered.

“Why?” Axel asked. “You’re kind and sweet and cute. Who wouldn’t want to date you?”

Noel plucked at his pant leg. “Straight girls want to date boys,” he mumbled. “And gay boys…they want to date boys, too.”

&nb
sp; “Yeah?” Axel laughed low, unsure what Noel was getting at. “Whether you’re gay or straight, you have it made.”

The boy shook his head. “No, I don’t.” His voice trembled. “I’m not…a normal boy.”

Axel got it suddenly and his heart went out to the boy. “Yes, you are,” he murmured. “Your true self is what’s on the inside. If someone truly loves you, they’re going to love you no matter what.”

“But no one will know I’m this way unless I tell them.” He looked up at Axel, tears in his eyes. “What if I really like someone, then I tell them, and they don’t like me anymore? What if they call me a freak?”

Axel wanted to assure Noel that wouldn’t happen, but the truth was—people could be cruel. He hugged the boy and kissed his head. “Love is a risk,” he whispered. “For anyone. I can’t tell you that there won’t be those who say hurtful things to you out of ignorance, but try to take comfort in the fact that one day you will meet your soulmate and this person will adore you exactly the way you are.”

“Devlin said I could get an operation, if I wanted to,” Noel whispered with a tremor.

“Is that something you want to do?”

Noel shrugged and hung his head. “Maybe. I…I just want to feel normal.”

“Whatever you decide,” Axel said softly. “You know the whole family will support you. But with or without the operation, when you meet the one…they will love you unconditionally because that’s what true love is; unconditional love.”

Noel raised his head and blinked back his tears, hope in his eyes. “Really?”

“Absolutely.” Axel smiled. “Just look at all the couples in this family. Look at the way Abel and Devlin love each other. That’s real and true love.”

Noel stared up at him. “And you love Clint that way?”

  Nodding slowly, Axel murmured, “Definitely.”

“And he loves you unconditionally, too?”

Axel chuckled quietly. “He better or I’ll kick his butt.”

  Noel laughed low. “He does.”

“Yeah, he does,” Axel agreed with a surge affection for his cowboy. “And you’re going to experience that same kind of love one day as well.”

  Noel sighed. “I hope so.”

  “You will.”

He frowned thoughtfully. “Do you think I’m gay or straight?”

Axel laughed lightly. “I couldn’t say. Do you have any thoughts about either gender?”

  “Not really.”

“Well, trust me, you’ll meet someone you’re attracted to one of these days and then you’ll know.”

“Noah didn’t know until he met Chris,” Noel said. “So, I guess you’re right.” He smiled, his excitement about the sleepover seeping back in.

Axel laughed and ruffled his hair. “You guess, huh?”

  Chapter Six

Grid loved the way Nolan made love to him; the man had crazy sexual talent. After all the time Grid had spent having sex with girls, always giving it…the thrill of taking it was beyond words. It blew his mind when Nolan’s thick, hard shaft pushed inside him, forcing him open in ways he’d never experienced before being with Nolan. It made him feel vulnerable and at the mercy of his lover—and when his lover was a man like Nolan, he savored the feeling.

Lying beneath Nolan now, body tense and heart pounding as Nolan entered him, Grid gazed up at the man, his breath catching in his constricted throat. “Yes…uuhhh…” His eyelids fluttered a bit as Nolan pushed his large cock deeper inside him. “Oh, fuck…yes…all of it…”

His face strained with sexual desire, Nolan rolled his hips and shoved the last inch or so of his shaft inside Grid. “Fuck,” he gasped shakily and just held himself in place as he stared into Grid’s eyes. “If I had been forced to marry Patrice,” he whispered unsteadily. “And forced to give you up…I think I would have gone crazy.” He kissed Grid, sinking against him.

Soft moans filled up Grid’s throat as they took turns sucking one another’s tongues. Nolan shoved his hands beneath Grid and flattened his palms against his upper back, their kiss deepening with passion and hunger. Nolan trembled and began to pump his hips slowly, gliding his cock ever so gently in and out of Grid’s tight entrance.

Oh, my God. Grid dug his fingers into the man’s shoulders, spread his legs wider, drawing his feet up a little, and thrust up to him eagerly. He swallowed hard and his head fell back against the pillow as Nolan buried his face in his neck, licking and sucking his tender skin. “Oh God…” Grid moaned. “Yes…oh my God, that feels so good…” He whimpered when Nolan rotated his hips and grazed his sweet spot. “Uuh! Fuck…yes…right there…don’t stop…”

Nolan smiled, his breath quick and a light flush warming his cheeks. “Wouldn’t dream of it,” he panted softly and kissed Grid, tightening his grip on the younger man as he fucked him a little harder and deeper.

The atmosphere of the wedding and reception had affected the both of them on a deep, profound level and it heightened the intensity of their lovemaking until they were clinging to one another, their rhythm urgent, even desperate.

Grid’s moans deepened, his cries turning to shouts as he writhed in ecstasy beneath his lover, his orgasm winding through his body, nearly driving him mad. Coherent words abandoned him, leaving with little more than a flurry of – “uh-uh-uh!” – as Nolan fucked him wildly yet somehow maintained control at the same time.

Nolan’s skillful pivot of his hips caused him to hit the spot with each rotation, his rhythm picking up pace.

Grid choked on a wail and swiveled his hips in time with Nolan’s thrusts, his body arching away from the bed as the sheer sexual ecstasy consumed him. He hardly had time to cry out that he was “cumming!” before his cock jerked and spit cum across his slick, flushed skin—his shaft pulsing, pumping juice from his balls, shot after shot squirting onto his stomach and chest.

Nolan crushed his mouth in a furious kiss and locked him in his arms, filling him with cock again and again; faster, deeper, harder. He wrenched from the kiss suddenly and shouted thick and loud—and emptied himself inside Grid.

They remained locked in each other’s embrace, their damp, fevered bodies moving together, gradually slowing, until they lay still, panting heavily against one another’s mouths, trembling lips touching. Grid’s eyes were heavy and misted as he stared up at Nolan.

“I’ll say it again,” Grid whispered shakily, his throat working, heart running wild. “I’m going to marry you one day.”

Nolan just gazed at him then pressed his lips softly to Grid’s mouth; his kiss tender, warm, passionate.

Grid wondered if, deep down, Nolan believed him. Or did he think that Grid would tire of such permanent commitment so early in his life…and eventually want out to explore other options, other men? Grid knew he wouldn’t, but could he convince Nolan? On the surface, Nolan seemed to take him at his word. But it was in his eyes; he feared Grid’s departure.

Moaning quietly, Nolan drew back from the kiss and lifted off Grid, sinking down beside him on the bed. “You’re such an amazing lover,” Nolan whispered breathlessly. He smiled and caressed his knuckles down Grid’s hot cheek. “I can’t imagine anyone else comparing to you.”

Grid was positive no one would ever match up to Nolan, either. And he had no desire to test it out. “I don’t plan on letting anyone else get close enough to you for you to find out.” Grid laughed softly and turned onto his side, laying his head on Nolan’s chest. He traced patterns on his damp, hot skin. “I intend to keep you all to myself.”

Releasing a heavy breath, Nolan stroked his fingers through Grid’s damp hair and remained silent.

Grid raised his head and looked at him. “I mean it,” he murmured. “I’m in this with you and I’m not leaving, unless you tell me to leave.” He kissed his chest. “I’m falling in love with you…and it’s the greatest feeling in the world.” He smiled. “And I adore Reuben. Nothing would make me happier than if, one day, I could be his dad, too.”

  Tears
filled Nolan’s eyes and he cupped Grid’s warm face. “I want all that as well,” he whispered, an ache in his voice. “I just don’t want you to wake up one day years down the road…and feel like you settled too soon, that you missed out on life.”

Scooting up closer, Grid kissed his lips. “My only regret years from now would be if I walked away from you and Reuben now, thinking I needed more.” He kissed him again. “Just because I’m young doesn’t mean I don’t know a good thing when I’m holding it in my arms.” He ran a fingertip along Nolan’s lower lip. “I see my future when I look in your eyes. Right here with you and Reuben…that’s where I want to be, always.” He shook his head, tears forming. “And time isn’t going to change that.”

Nolan blinked and tears seeped down his temples. He flattened his palms on Grid’s face and drew him into the tender, loving kiss.

  ♦

“Do you trust me?” Riley pressed a tender kiss to Darius’ shoulder, then trailed soft kisses down his spine.

Darius shivered with delight as he lay face down on Riley’s bed, his clothes stripped away and body exposed for Riley’s taking. “Yes,” he whispered.

“I want this to be so good for you,” Riley murmured against his warm skin. His gentle hands rubbed Darius’ tense ass cheeks, massaging his flesh until he relaxed. He kissed the upper swell of his cheeks. “I promise, baby, I won’t go all the way until you’re ready.”

The younger man had to be aching like mad to fuck after three months of doing without. Yet there was no urgency in his touch as he took his time making sure Darius was comfortable and at ease.

“We need to do a little preparation first,” Riley said quietly. “So that this experience is one you’ll remember fondly.” He ran his thumbs between Darius’ cheeks and rubbed his tight hole. Darius shivered, his skin prickling from head to toe. His erection stretched and thickened as Riley continued to rim his entrance with the pads of his thumbs. When Darius shudder and moaned, Riley kissed his lower back and smiled. “Feel good?”
