Stellar Evolution (a Falling Stars Novella)

  The nod of my head was slow to start, but he saw it. His eyes lit.

  "Yes?" His arms tightened around me. "Is that a yes? Don't fuck with me, Mia."

  Finally able to speak after having the most beautiful declaration made to me, "I'm not fucking with you, Chris." Excitement replaced the awe I had been feeling. "Yes. Yes, I'll marry you."

  His mouth crashed to mine. Our teeth clinked together, the kiss rough and amazing.

  Sitting up and back on the bed, he pulled my body to straddle him. The ring fell from my chest, landing between our bodies.

  "Shit," he cursed, reaching down to grab it.

  He reaching out, taking my left hand and pulled it between our faces. Slipping the ring on my finger, he proceeded to kiss each finger and then my palm.

  "I'm getting that permanently attached to you." He grinned.

  I giggled.

  Then we celebrated our future with the ride of my life.
