  Molly shook her head in disbelief. “You’re a bottomless pit! How can you possibly be hungry after all you ate today?”

  Felicity shrugged. “I just am.”

  Nell went to the fridge and opened the door. “Me too,” she said. “How about a cold turkey sandwich?”

  “If you insist,” Molly said with a laugh. “I’ll take mine with cranberry sauce.”

  Felicity went to the cupboard. “I’ll get plates and napkins.”

  Felicity was right, Nell thought as she began to assemble the sandwiches for her daughters. This was the best Christmas ever, and it had nothing to do with cakes and crafts and baubles and bells. It had to do with love. Just love.
