After the End

“If you’ll come shopping today without moaning, I’ll let you join me in the shower now, and I’ll blow you on the balcony tonight.”

Linc flies out of bed, his erection standing tall against his belly.

I laugh and reach for him. “Eager much?”

“On the balcony? Really?” His eyes are saucers, wide with hope and longing.

“You’re so cute, but yes, on the balcony. No moaning.”

“I will be the most supportive husband on a shopping trip there has ever lived.”

I grin—not because he’s like a kid at Disneyland, but because he called himself my husband. I know that’s what he is, but, Jesus, it feels good to have this man completely. We’re a married couple now. It’s us against the world—officially, legally. I know we’re forever, but the ring on my finger is the security we both need.

Nothing will come between us ever again.

  Acknowledgments

After the End is a book that has been in the back of my head for a long time. I didn’t tell anyone about it until I was chilling with my friend (and blogger/beta reader/event planning extraordinaire). Zoë, your enthusiasm, which I think was heard throughout the hotel, spurred me on every time I was sure I couldn’t finish this. Thank you for always championing my writing.

Joe, Ashton, and Remy, thank you for being my reason for everything. When I’m having a bad day writing or something just isn’t clicking, I know I can always turn to you guys.

The Indie Girls, I don’t even know where to begin thanking you. There has been a lot of stress with two close deadlines and back-to-back edits, and you have all been so amazing with each one of my meltdowns. You’re all so inspirational, and I’m lucky to have you to lean on.

Sofie, all I ever give you is the title of the book, an incredibly brief description, and if I like a certain colour. Somehow, you send back the most perfect cover. I promise to never get too involved in my covers. LOL!

Jovana, I could not do this without you. Thank you so, so much for being the best editor on the planet.

And thank you, readers! I hope you enjoyed Linc and Tilly’s story.
