Exoria (The God Chronicles #5)

Capturing her mouth with my own once more, I let the world fall away, feeling such happiness and contentment that, for the first time ever, I said a silent prayer of thanks to Zeus for sending me to the Underworld in the first place.
Cristos
“Are you ready?” Avalon smoothed my tie, her hands shaking as she looked me over, a nervous excitement exuding from her.
“I think the real question is whether or not you are.” Chuckling, I wrapped my fingers around hers, raising them to my mouth and kissing them gently.
“I am. It’s a lot to take in, though. This place, what we’re about to do . . . it seems unreal.” Sighing, she leaned against me, her arms moving around my waist. “I never in a million years would have thought we’d be doing this.”
“What, getting married?”
“No! I thought that maybe, someday, we would do that.” Blushing, she laughed slightly, pulling away to look at me. “I mean the coronation. You’re going to be King of the Gods!”
“And you’re going to be their queen.” Leaning forward, I kissed her, breaking away to stare into her eyes. “I wouldn’t have it any other way.”
“This is going to change everything.” She was starting to babble, her gaze transitioning from my face to the crowd beyond us on the bank, waiting for the ceremony to begin. Her voice changed pitch as she spoke, nerves plainly showing on her face.
“Hey.” Interrupting her, I kissed her again. “It’s you and me. Same as always. Don’t think about anything else.”
“Yeah, you guys are only adopting a load of kids to take care of.”
Turning, I watched Arsenio make his way toward us, a grin on his face.
“That doesn’t make me feel any better,” Avalon stated, smiling all the same.
Clapping his hands together, Arsenio took a deep breath and began speaking in a weird accent. “Marriage! Marriage is what brings us together today!”
“Is that from The Princess Bride?” I asked, looking at him quizzically.
His eyes widened as he grabbed my shoulder, gasping. “You’ve seen it?”
“Yeah. I watched it with my mom when I was younger.”
Practically squeeing, he did a little excited dance. “You finally understood one of my movie references! This is like a day of miracles or something!”
Glancing back at Avalon, I laughed, feeling a weight lift off my shoulders as I relaxed in the presence of my best friend and my soon to be wife. “It is a pretty miraculous time, isn’t it?”
“It is.” Her face shone with happiness as she looked at me, her shoulders relaxing as well. “I love you, Cristos.”
“I love you, too.” Taking her hand in mine, I faced the assembly waiting for us to join them. With the love of my life at my side and my family standing behind me, I somehow knew we would all be just fine.

When an accidental death occurs in the pit, fulfilling the prophecy that seven lives must end before the treasure can be found, the search kicks into high gear, with more than one party vying for the secrets that lie below. Finding herself the closest to the treasure anyone has ever been, Samantha throws herself into the work, landing among the coveted prize. Just as she's about to discover what's truly hidden beneath the island, the pit begins to flood with ocean water, sweeping her away despite her attempts to swim to the surface.

Carried off by the pirate Tristan O'Rourke, a rouge Irishman with more than his share of secrets, she soon finds that there is much more than she realized in play. Will she discover the secrets of Oak Isle, or will an unexpected love keep her from finding out the truth? Will she ever make it back to her own time? From bestselling author Kamery Solomon comes TAKING CHANCES (formerly Big Apple Dreams), the contemporary romance you’ve always dreamed of!
"Taking Chancess was an eloquently written book. You can feel the desire of the theater in the details that the author describes. Plus the love triangle had you screaming for the other guy. The one who shares the passion and love for your deepest desire. I absolutely loved how she was able to engage the reader as if the were a member of an audience in a play that Marama was trying out for. Half way through you already have your mind made up on who you wanted her with. This was an excellent book and I would highly recommend it to anyone that has dreams and need the drive to reach them. Perseverance pays off if the end."
~Lisa Markson, Paranormal Bookworm

About The Author
Kamery is not the person who grew up dreaming of the day that she would clutch her very own novel to her chest, tears brimming over the rims of her eyes as she thought about how she'd written it herself, finally! In fact, anything remotely like that didn't even happen until she was actually holding her first book in her hand, amazed that she'd written it and wondering how on Earth she'd managed to do it when it hadn't ever occurred to her to write
one until months before. Surprisingly, though, it was just what she never realized she loved doing.
When starting out in life, Kamery had (and still has) big dreams to perform on Broadway. She loves music and acting very much, while she and dance have a love/hate relationship; she would love to do it and every form of dance decides it hates that about her, haha! The one constant she always had between the performing world and the book world were the stories, tales that transported her to other worlds and made her feel like she really could do anything. Finally, she decided she wanted to do that for someone else and sat down to write.
It's been a few years since she held that first book, realizing that she really liked writing and wanted to do more, but the love that blossomed in that moment has only grown. Currently, Kamery works from home in Arizona, while taking care of her two adorable kids, a girl and a boy, and talking her sweet husband Jake's ear off about the insane amount of characters in her head who are ready to fight to the death for a chance at their own novels. It truly is a wonderful life!
