Everything about her wrapped around him, her smell, her taste, the way her body accepted him, squeezed him. It was sex and love, his Kiley. It felt like forever since he’d been balls-deep inside her and driving them both toward pleasure. Bo lifted her hips and brought her closer as he pounded into her. He didn’t want it to stop. Even as the warning signals blinded him with the first blasts of his sweet release, he didn’t ever want to stop.

She clutched the mattress beside her as she, moaning in pleasure, arched her back. Bo collapsed on top of her and buried his face against her neck.

“Bo, you’re squishing me.” She kissed his cheek.

He groaned and rolled to his back, taking her with him as he changed their positions on the small bed. He covered their sweaty bodies with the top sheet and held her.

She pushed up and kissed his lips softly. “I’ve missed you.”

She moved off him and settled at his side. He shifted slightly to give her more room while he tried to get comfortable. She lifted his arm over her hip and linked their fingers together. He smiled, knowing it was her preferred sleeping position—having him wrapped around her.

“Sweet dreams, baby.” He kissed her cheek and closed his eyes, finally allowing sleep to claim him.

  Chapter Four

For Kiley, the day started when the sun peeked its bright yellow rays through the only window in the shack. She groaned and covered her eyes while trying to burrow deeper against Bo’s side.

Bo’s hand slid up her bare back. “Are you ready to sail back to the main island?”

She opened one eye and peered at his smiling face. “Yes.”

“Do you want sandwiches for breakfast, or do you want to wait until we get to the house?”

“House. I want a sausage and biscuit.” She tugged the sheet over her head. “And you can stop looking so damn happy.”

Bo pulled the sheet back long enough to kiss her. “I’d forgotten how much you love mornings.”

She pushed the sheet down. “Do you have any idea how small this bed is? I dozed half the night, then woke up because I was right on the edge about to plunge face first against the dirty floor.”

He chuckled. “You should have told me you wanted against the wall.”

She narrowed her eyes at him, and he held his hands up in defense. “Okay. I surrender. I’ll get up and dress.”

He climbed over her and stood beside the bed in all his naked glory. Her grouchy mood instantly disappeared while she stared at him. Six feet of beautiful man, all hard muscled in all the right places, stood before her. She stared at his bare ass as he bent to retrieve his shorts.

“One more question.” He turned, giving her the complete frontal view. “Last night wasn’t a dream, right?”

She smiled. “No. It wasn’t a dream.”

Memories from the previous night made Kiley want him all over again. She let her gaze linger, taking in every inch of his body. She’d forgotten how beautiful he was, how mind-blowing the sex could be.

  “You’re staring at me.”

“Just admiring the view.” Kiley licked her lips. “Am I not allowed to look at you?”

Bo let out a short laugh. “Not if you don’t want me to have a reaction.”

Kiley pulled the sheet off the bed as she stood, keeping it around her. “Maybe that’s the goal.”

She tilted her head back and took in his face. His eyes were dark pools, his lips a sensual delight. Stubble covered his chin, and she swallowed hard, thinking about what it would feel like scraping against her inner thighs. With one hand holding the sheet in place, she reached out to stroke his bare chest.

“Are you going to seduce me?” He propped his hands on his hips.

“I don’t know.” She swept her finger along the line of hair trailing from beneath his navel. “What if I am?”

Her fingers caressed his cock, and he hissed. “I might like it too much.”

She laughed. “Isn’t that the point?”

She wrapped her fingers around him and started a slow pump. His breaths came faster against her face as his cock grew harder. Shifting slightly, she sat on the edge of the bed and leaned forward to take him into her mouth. He groaned long and loud as his head dropped back.

Normally, sex was cut and dry and always the way Bo wanted it. Granted, it was never boring and she had plenty of orgasms, but doing this, taking him into her mouth, gave her the power for once. Bo loved oral sex, though they hadn’t shared much of it in the last few months. Kiley moved her hand up from the base while she took as much of him as she could into her mouth.

“Oh, fuck, that’s good.” Bo lifted her hair into a pony tail, undoubtedly watching as his swollen cock disappeared between her wet lips. “God, baby. You’re so hot.”

She withdrew and pumped him with her hand. “You think so?”

She lifted his cock up and lapped at one of his balls. The fingers in her hair tightened. She kissed the base of his dick and worked her way up until she reached the tip. Pre-come leaked from the slit at the top and coated her lips.

“Kiley,” He cupped her cheeks and gently pulled her away from his cock. “I don’t want to come like this. I want inside you.”

She licked her lips, tasting him. “Then get inside me.”

Bo pushed her back against the mattress and covered her with his body. He tugged at the sheet wrapped around her until he bared her breasts. He latched on to the tip of one and sucked her nipple into a stiff point. Slow and sweet went out the window, she realized, trying her best to help him tug the sheet away.

Bare skin to bare skin, she lifted her hips and brushed her hot pussy against his cock. Bo covered her mouth with his. She clutched at his back and slid her hands down until trying to get him closer, she squeezed his ass.

Bo tore his mouth from hers long enough to reach down and position his cock at her entrance. He pushed inside her slowly, taking his time to fill her inch by inch. God, he felt huge this way. The walls of her pussy clamped around him. She felt sweat break out on her forehead when he stopped, halfway inside her.

“You are always so fucking wet for me.”

He withdrew completely and spread her legs even farther. Bo paused to flick her clit with his thumb. Trying her best to remain still, she clutched the sheets beside her. The anticipation for him built. He grabbed her ankles and folded her legs against her chest. With a devious grin, he leaned down and tongued her pussy.

They’d done this a million times over the course of their eight years of marriage, and somehow it never became old. He never did the same thing, never developed a routine. With his hands still gripping her ankles, he swirled his tongue around her pussy lips. She gasped as he teased her hole, pressed his tongue slightly inside before rimming it again.

Kiley grew impatient as he continued to tantalize. She’d had him so close to the edge of reason moments ago, and now he wanted to draw it out. Pushing her legs to her chest with one hand, Bo slipped his finger inside her aching pussy.

  Dear God in heaven above.

His warm, wet tongue circled around her clit, flicking it occasionally as he slowly pumped his finger into her. When she started her tease this morning, she hadn’t expected this kind of treatment. Not that she was complaining. Bo had once said that he could stay between her legs for days and never grow bored. Right now, she wanted to see if he had spoken the truth.

He pulled her clit between his lips and sucked. She was so close and sensed that Bo knew it. He withdrew from her again and parted her legs, pushing them as wide as they would go.

“Do you have any idea what you do to me?” Bo asked.

His lips were shiny with her moisture, and Kiley took perverse pleasure in that.

He stroked his cock a few times while staring down at her. “You’re beautiful like this.”

She closed her eyes when he pushed his cock inside her again. Bo kissed the side of her neck, touching all the sensual places that he knew made her melt in his arms. He plunged his cock inside her repeated
ly. Kiley held on to him, half afraid to let him go. This was what she’d craved from him. She opened her eyes and stared into his. God, she still loved him. It was a fact pointless in denying.

His kiss stole her breath. His lips were soft, but the kiss was anything but gentle. Greedy. Devouring. His tongue thrust into her mouth almost as savagely as he pumped into her pussy, which drove her desire higher.

“Come,” he said. He found her stiff clit and rubbed the tiny bud. “Come for me, baby.”

Kiley cried out in pleasure as she clutched at Bo’s arms. His hips rocked against her while his fingers continued to play with her clit. He gave her a small grin and reached down to where they were joined, brushing her slick lips with his finger.

“Bo,” she gasped. She closed her eyes and arched off the mattress as her second orgasm came on the heels of her first.

He chuckled softly and kissed her breast before moving his hips again. “I could do this all day.”

And she’d let him. She laughed at the irony of it and pushed at his shoulders. “Lie on your back.”

He grinned and rolled to his back, taking her with him. He reached up to cup her breasts. “Ride me.”

She did. Leaning forward to support herself, her hips rocked as she slid along his cock. Bo cursed and grabbed her hips, though he didn’t stop her. His cock bumped against every sensitive place inside her pussy, and Kiley felt the beginnings of her third orgasm arise. She hadn’t had this many orgasms since her wedding night when he had decided to launch them into an all-night fuckfest. He had even gone so far as to bet her how many times she could come. She found herself smiling as she thought about it.

“I can’t last, baby. Touch yourself.” The muscles in his neck strained as he lifted his head to watch her.

Slipping her fingers on each side of her clit, she rubbed them together. Electric bolts of pleasure shot through her, and her pussy started to contract around him. That’s all it took. He lifted her and thrust hard with a grunt. Jets of hot come splashed inside her, and Kiley cried out.

How the fuck did we make it so long without touching one another?

When she came down from the sexual high, she realized she lay against Bo’s chest with his arms wrapped around her. She snuggled closer.

He said things would change. Bo stroked along her spine.

“Do you have any idea where my bathing suit is?” She pushed away from him and glanced around. The memories were almost too much. “You’re the one that took it off.”

  “Outside. I’ll go find it.”

He shifted her to his side and kissed her mouth before he stood to pull on his trunks. A vast array of emotions overwhelmed Kiley unexpectedly as she watched him leave. When had being in love become so hard?

Last night, he had mentioned their first date. He had mentioned their first time together. She sat up on the edge of the bed, clutching the sheet to her body. They’d even made love like nothing was even wrong, yet everything felt anything but right.

“Here you go.” He held up the bikini. “While you get dressed, I’ll get the boat ready, and you can meet me on the shore.” He paused. “What’s wrong?”

“I don’t know.” She took the bathing suit from him.

Last night had been a fantasy, she realized. This morning, a simple yearning. She wanted him, craved his touch. But no matter how much she wanted things to change between them, sex hadn’t changed anything. It left her even more confused than before.

Bo knelt in front of her with his hands resting on her thighs. “You’ve been thinking too much. Tell me what’s going through your mind.”

She swallowed. “How are things going to be different when we go back?”

He sighed. “I thought we were past this.”

“How can you say that, Bo? A night of sex didn’t solve anything.” Avoiding his eyes, she shook her head. “We shouldn’t have done it—not until our other issues are worked out.”

“Okay.” Bo moved to the bed beside her. “How are things going to be different? I considered cutting back my hours. I also thought about moving back to Connecticut, but I don’t know if I can handle the cold weather again. I’m willing to work out something with you, but you have to give us a chance. I can’t do it all on my own. Once we get back in Miami—”

“I’m not going back to Miami.” She took a deep breath after exposing the secret she’d kept from him. “I’ve already moved most of my stuff to Connecticut, and when I leave Hawaii, I’m going there. Dad is supposed to pick me up at the airport Monday morning.”

“What?” Bo stood. “You just packed up and moved without even telling me?”

“I start working for my dad Tuesday. He needed someone in the office since Mom quit to take care of Leslie’s kids.”

“When did you plan on telling me about it?”

  “Stop yelling at me.”

Having never seen him as he was in that moment, Kiley stared into his eyes. With his fists clenched at his sides, he shook his head and paced toward the door.

“I planned on telling you when I came back to get the rest of my stuff.”

“And when the fuck did you plan on coming back?”

  “A month or two.”

“Right.” He shook his head. “What about working on our marriage?”

When she didn’t say anything, he continued.

“Oh. Okay. I get it now. You’ve obviously made your decision. Forget trying to solve anything.”

  “It’s not like that.”

“What’s it like, Kiley?” He met her eyes.

“I need to know things will change before I go back.” She gathered the sheet around her and stood. “Bo, I want us to work. I want things to change. But if they can’t, then I can’t come back.”

“You lied to me.” Bo’s jaw clenched. “All this fucking time, you’ve been lying.” He shook his head. “I’m done with it.”

“Bo—” She stopped when he held up a hand.

“I’ll be at the boat.” He headed out, leaving her alone in the shack.

  * * * *

Bo felt his blood pressure rising. She never planned on giving him a second chance. She’d already made her decision and wanted one last fuck before she signed the divorce papers.

How big of a fucking moron can you be, Bo?

He took a deep breath and willed himself to calm down. He wanted things to work. He needed her in his life.

Kiley climbed on deck and set her bag next to the steering wheel. “Have you calmed down enough to talk to me?”

“What’s left to say? You seem to be making all the decisions about our life together. Why the fuck do you need my input?”

  “Bo, it’s not like that.”

“No?” He swiveled around to face her. “You threaten me with a divorce. I receive a fucking phone call from your fucking lawyer—at work, I might add—telling me we can have a divorce settlement out of court if I agree to your fucking terms. We come to this fucking island and reconcile, yet it wasn’t a reconciliation. You never planned to give us a chance. You’ve washed your hands of everything a long time ago, and I’m the one left out in the fucking cold.”

He raised his voice but didn’t care. Kiley sat on the side bench and folded her hands in her lap. He wanted to hate her so much for hurting him. He wanted to be able to walk away and never look back. But, in the same instance, his heart felt shattered into a million pieces.

“I needed a fresh start. The only reason I packed up without telling you is because I knew you’d try to keep in Miami.”

“Damn right I would!” He pulled the rope off the dock and tossed it on deck. “You know what, just forget it. I’ll give you the damn divorce, and you can go about your business without me. Like you said earlier, you’ve gotten used to not having me around. I’m sure you’ll make it just fine on your own.”

He started the engine and ignored her pleas. She started to cry, and he ignored that, too. He didn’t care anymore. The faster he got off this damn island, the better. He steere
d the boat in the way they came finding the main island easily. Within a few seconds, he steered into the marina and docked the boat. He didn’t even bother saying anything to Kiley as he grabbed his cooler and stepped onto the dock.

He returned the keys, paid the dues owed for the boat rental and the key he threw overboard, and left.

His head pounded and his stomach growled when he climbed into the front seat of the Jeep Trey had rented for the week. He didn’t care where he went as long as it was far away from his wife. Ex-wife.

“Bo!” Kiley jogged toward him as he backed out into the parking lot. “Wait!”

God help him, he wanted to drive away. He wanted to leave her standing there scared and alone, the exact same way she’d left him. But he didn’t. He couldn’t wrap his mind around how people could just walk away from the one they loved and never look back.

“I’m sorry.” She climbed in the passenger’s seat and set her bag in the floorboard, tears streaming down her face. “Will you please talk to me?”

  He drove instead.

“I’ll call my dad when I get back to the beach house and make some arrangements to stay in Miami for a while. The job’s only part-time, so I think he can manage without me for a while.”

  “A while?”

“You said you were considering moving back to Connecticut. I’ll stay in Miami with you until you’re able to move back. Then we can go together.”

“Not happening.” He turned down another road and headed toward the middle of town.

  “Why not?”

“Are you serious?” He glanced over at her. “You left. You chose to end everything we have without so much as giving me a chance to fix anything. We’re done, and it’s thanks to you, not me.”

“Bo, that was before…when I was really angry and hurt.”

“I don’t give a fuck. It was your decision, and now you have to deal with it. We both do, thanks to you.”

“Bo, I don’t want us to be this way,” she cried. “Please help me figure this out.”

“You’re the genius, Kiley. Remember? I’m not smart enough to get it.” He glanced over. Tears streamed down her face. “You seem to know what’s best for the both of us. I’m sure you’ll do a fine job figuring it out on your own.”
