Marked By The Wolf (Werewolf Fever #3)

He tipped her head back and kissed her, deep and long.
“My mate,” he whispered, his voice rough. “Mine. Forever. And we will build a Pack together.”
“Yes,” Lucy replied, lost in his eyes. Her life unfurled in her mind. Mate to the Alpha of an ancient Pack, bringing new life and power to the bloodline.
Ciaran drew away from her, separating their bodies as the moon emerged fully above the canopy. His wolf-man form stretched and cracked, flowing into the full wolf.
Lucy sat up carefully. Her heart still quailed at the sight of Ciaran’s wolf; its rage, its bloody violence, was still too close for her to forget.
But there was no cruelty in its eyes tonight. The wolf-Ciaran turned to look at her, and licked her face gently. Lucy flung her arms around him.
“Oh, Ciaran, my darling,” she murmured. “Take me home.”
She climbed up onto his back, resting her head on his neck. He would carry her back to the ruined house, she knew; and in time, they would rebuild it. But really, she was already home. With her mate.
Forever.
