“Yo ass is coming with me now.”
Chapter 11
Makayla was heading home later than usual and she felt really bad. She tried to rush home as fast as she could so that she could ask Devyn how her first day back in the working force was. To make up for lost time, Makayla stopped at the store to buy her some cake and dinner because she headed home. As she drove, she remembered that Devyn never responded to any of her texts. She figured that maybe Devyn was just busy at work. Makayla continued to zip through the streets and weave in and out of traffic until she made it home.
Makayla hopped out of her car and rushed into the house, leaving the cake and food in the car to grab later. She busted through the already slightly opened door.
“Dev! Girl, I’m really so so sorry. I didn’t mean to come home so late. I got us some food to celebrate your first day! I’m sure you had a good ass day.”
Makayla raised an eyebrow when no one responded.
“Uh, what in the hell? Hello? Dev?”
She looked around the place and didn’t hear any response. At first, she assumed Devyn was just picking up an additional shift. She picked up her phone and started to call her. As she waited for her to answer, she walked around the house and noticed that the place looked like someone came through and tried to steal something or that they were looking for something in particular. Makayla’s heart started to race as she looked around. She looked back at the door and remembered that when she first entered the house, the door was partially opened. Makayla started to panic as she continued to run around the house. She tossed her phone onto the kitchen table and ran around the entire area of the house.
“Devyn! Dev. Dev. Devin? I know you’re here. Please answer me. Please tell me you are here! Stop playin, girl! Please. Please be here.”
After running around like a damn chicken with its head cut off, she made her way back to the kitchen table and grabbed her phone. It was then that she noticed there was a note written on the table. She hoped it was a note from Devyn telling her where she was, but it wasn’t. Makayla was mortified to read the note and was even more horrified to find out that it was from Marcus. She dropped the note and fell to her knees as she started to cry. She didn’t know what he meant. The only thing she was able to come up with was that just because Makayla was Devyn’s best friend, Marcus was able to put two and two together and find out where she lived.
Makayla became infuriated and knew she had to get her best friend back. It was just a matter of when. Makayla wiped her tears. She was determined to do whatever she could to get her best friend back.
Chapter 12
It was dark and hot in the room that Devyn was in. She finally woke up and quickly sat up when she opened her eyes to see nothing but pure darkness. Her flight or fight response kicked in, and she was able to hurriedly get back up on her feet. She frantically ran around and bumped into what felt like a bed, and then into a table, then a nightstand, and finally a dresser. She cried out for help and fell to her knees when she could no longer shout, knowing that no one could hear her. She crawled around the room and felt her way around for the bed she had previously bumped into. When she found the bed, she crawled right into it and laid down. Her heart rate slowed as she calmed her breathing. Her body was sore and the areas where she bumped on her body were very tender to the touch. The back of her head was throbbing, which she found to be very odd because she knew that in the time of her frenzy soon after she woke up in this dark place, she knew she bumped every other part of her body and not the back of her head. She grimaced and winced when she turned her neck, feeling the pain radiate from the base of her neck up the entire back side of her skull. Because she knew she wasn’t the one who caused the pain, she concluded it was Marcus who did it. He probably hit her hard enough to knock her out. There was nothing she could do at this point, so she just laid there in the bed as his prisoner.
“Where in the hell am I first of all?” she sighed heavily and closed her eyes. Closing her eyes in this darkness was comforting. By being able to close her eyes in the already dark room, she was able to control the darkness, again it was a sense of control and comfort in an environment she had no control over.
Boom!
Marcus swung open the door and broke her comforting darkness. Devyn shielded her eyes and slowly sat up. Marcus stumbled in and fell right before her feet. She could smell the scent of alcohol coming off of him, and she could tell he was incredibly wasted. He grunted as he stood up, wobbling as he tried to stand up straight. It looked like he was trying to intimidate her, but it didn’t phase her. She knew he was just a cocky hot mess.
He sloppily slapped her across the face. It was hard enough to make her fall over. Had she not had been as weak as she was, she would have been able to withstand the blow. While she was in her daze, he sloppily slapped her again and escalated his assault into barraging her poor fragile body with his fists.
Devyn couldn’t take it anymore. She was ready to give up. She didn’t know how long she had been in that room, nor did she remember the last time she ate. Her mind started to wander again, now thinking of her baby and her mother and how she was going to be with them very, very soon. It was a peaceful thought, and it was the only thing that was keeping her spirit alive. As he continued to pound on her with his drunken fists, her body went numb. She didn’t feel the pain anymore. It felt like he was just pressing on her body. It was like her senses were on overload and all her pain receptors were shot. Her body just bounced against the bed, and she closed her eyes so that she wouldn’t see his dazed face as he hit her. She imagined herself going towards a light, and she saw her mother holding hands with her son. They looked so beautiful. Her son was dressed up in a black and white suit, paired with a fresh pair of Jordans.
She smiled as she saw her momma and how radiant she looked. She didn’t have a sunken in face, and there was a glow about her. She was wearing an elegant white dress with what looked like a fabulous pair of Jimmy Choos. Man, she always wanted to buy her momma and herself a pair of those high-end and real fancy shoes. She imagined herself slowly walking towards them and them having their arms outstretched for her to walk into. This was probably it for Devyn, and she was ready. Her body was already bruised and beaten, and she felt like she was already dead. She wanted him to just shoot her in the head and kill her, or better yet, she wanted him to just take a nice slug to her head so he could put her out of her misery.
Thud!
Marcus fell over on top of her and put all his weight on her small body. It didn’t phase her, if anything she thought this was a great way to go out. Better to be smothered by her ex rather than him hitting her to death.
“I’m going to kill you…”
“No shit, I think I fucking know that already. Hurry the fuck up and do it then, you fucking bitch ass nigga,” Devyn said in hopes that it would egg him on.
Apparently it didn’t. He just rolled off of her and laid next to her, slurring as he spoke.
“I’m going to kill youuu for leaaving my son with that raggedy ass mother of yours! Youu were supposed to watch him and shit. Thaaat was my baby. If you only knewww, how much that hurt a nigga and his ego. That shit was not cool.”
Devyn looked weakly over at him and shook her head. She couldn’t believe the bullshit he was spitting and thought it was actually pretty damn funny.
“Nigga, tell me how you was hurtin? Shit, you was too busy hitting on me! You ass didn’t have the time to be worryin about you son. Nigga, I had to get the fuck away from your triflin abusive ass. Shit. Maybe if you would have kept your hands to you damn self, you would still have a son.”
Those words must have cut deep because it triggered him. He got up and slapped her across the face before laying back down on the bed. It was a baby slap compared to the other hits he had given her and to be honest, Devyn was pretty disappointed.
“I’m going to killlll you.”
“Nigga, shut the hell up before you catch my ass telling you that I’ma kill you. If
I wasn’t so weak right now, and if I had a damn glock on hand, I would’ve capped yo damn ass.”
He looked at her and laughed like she said something funny.
“I’m for real going to kill you thoughhhh. Or maybe I’ll kill your brother first. Yeaaaah. I’d love to cap that nigga. He the real reason why my baby ain’t walking, so I might as well put out his light and make him suffer. Hell yeah, you can sit tight in here while I go blow his brains out. Yeah, I’m so ready to murk that nigga.”
Marcus then got up and stumbled towards the door. He picked up a bag and tossed it in the room.
“There’s food, water and some clothes. There is a bathroom right there, if yo ass can crawl to it cause I know for a fact you can’t move yo legs. Dumbass bitch, I’m gone comeee fo youuu.”
He shook his head and wobbled out of the room, closing the door behind him and locking it.
Devyn stayed on the bed and just laid there, staring at the ceiling. She was back in the darkness, and she felt at ease. She thought about the words he said and felt slightly envious. She never thought about killing her brother until now. She realized that if it wasn’t for him, she wouldn’t be in this predicament. If it wasn’t for him, she wouldn’t have had to hide the secret and wouldn’t have to hide from her baby daddy. She started to hate him for the fact that she had to go through the extra abuse, and that she always had to watch her back only to be found. She hated him because she put her life on the line for him, and she hid the secret because she actually still believed in him and loved him. She tried to be the good big sister and tried to be there for him, but it had literally cost her body and her sanity.
“Shit, now I want him dead. This shit isn’t fair. Marcus is out there and able to move around and find my brother. I mean damn, last time I checked he was still in jail. If he got out, then I don’t know shit. I would assume that he is still in jail though. If he was, that makes his ass an easy target. Shit, I want in on this fucking killing. This is some bullshit. I hate my fucking life.”
Devyn then crawled out of her bed and made her way slowly to the bathroom. She used her hands to feel around and turned on the bright light, blinding her as she entered. She used the wall to balance herself as she left the bathroom to go to the bedroom to grab the bag he left her. She dragged it back to the bathroom and opened it up. She grabbed a towel, some soap, and a face towel out of the bag. She then turned on the water and took a nice hot shower. While she was in there, she didn’t feel like much of a prisoner. She was given a shower, and he gave her a bag full of food. Maybe he didn’t really hate her? What in the hell was he doing to her? Was this some mind game? Was he giving her a little bit of freedom to lure her in again? He just went on telling her how much he wanted her dead, yet he gave her the luxury of some food and a shower? She really wasn’t complaining. She needed a hot shower after the shit she had just endured.
She finished up her shower and put on the spare shirt that was in the bag. She grabbed the granola bar that he had left in there. She basically shoved it down her throat and chased it down with some water. Her body felt so much better after the shower and snack, but she still felt empty and alone. The reality was that she was still trapped in some room, in some house, alone. Her anger finally caught up with her as she laid in the bed. She was mad at her entire situation and wanted out. She wanted to be home and with her best friend. She knew how moody he could get and maybe she caught him in a good mood as he was coming off of whatever he was drinking.
Devyn laid in her bed and cried. She didn’t know what else to expect and had so many emotions churning.
Chapter 13:
“I need to find something out. I’m gonna fucking find you. Hang in there, please,” Makayla said as she rolled down the streets, hoping to find something, a sign, or someone who could lead her to finding her bestie.
She came across a group of Royals who looked like they were up to no good. Then again, they always looked like they were up to no good. She pulled her car over and hopped out. They all looked at her and welcomed her presence. She wasn’t highly respected, but she was pretty well known.
“Hey, boys,” Makayla said in a somewhat seductive tone.
They looked at her and nodded, halfway paying attention to her.
“Oi, Mike. C’mere, bae.”
He looked at her and smiled. Makayla knew that Mike was the weaker of the bunch, so she wanted to really test his loyalty and see what he was all about. She took his hand and led him to one of the staircases just a few houses down from where the rest of the squad was. The boys hollered and laughed as she held onto his hand and walked with him.
“So Mike, how are you doing?” she said as she watched him sit on the stairs. She decided to keep on standing. Makayla was wearing all black, black leggings, black combat boots, a tight black long sleeved shirt, and a black coat.
He looked up at her and observed her body. She was cute and had the body of a goddess. Any guy would fall for her charm, and that is exactly what Makayla was hoping for. She wanted him to fall into her trap and give her some information. She was trying to con a fellow member in order to save her best friend. Makayla really was ready to do whatever it took to find Devyn. She didn’t let the note discourage her. She knew it was a lie.
“I’m aight, how you? Whatchu out here for, girl? I know you bang too but damn, ma. Ain’t you off for the night?”
Makayla leaned forward and placed her finger under his chin, caressing him gently.
“I am, I am. But, I was out here lookin fo my lil mama and came across yo fine ass. So, whatchu got planned for later on tonight?”
Mike started to fall for her charm. He stood up and looked down at her, wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her close to him. She looked up at him and played the part, touching up on his arm. He led her down the street and up to his apartment. She followed behind him and pushed him up against his wall soon after closing the door. Her mind started to race. She knew deep inside she had no type of feelings for him. She was merely doing this for the sake of her best friend.
He smiled down at her and went on to tease her neck with his lips, nibbling on her. She played with him and slid her hand down his pants, grabbing onto his dick and stroking it for a moment before letting go. She took a couple steps back and looked at him seductively.
“No, not yet, daddy,” she whispered, as he pulled her back to him and shoved his tongue down her throat. She pretended to care and get into it, but deep inside she was disgusted with herself. The fact that she even referred to him as daddy was something that made her cringe and die a little on the inside.
She pulled away from him and led him to his bedroom. He took the initiative again and threw her onto the bed. As she laid there, she wiggled her hips, teasing him as he took off his pants and the rest of his clothes. He then hopped on the bed and hovered over her, pressing his lips against hers. She didn’t smell it the first time, but the scent of weed and alcohol intertwined with the scent of her minty, freshly brushed mouth. She was able to conclude that he was high off something and that was good. This meant that he may be a little more susceptible to releasing information to her. It was a disgusting combination, but it was something that most of the guys in that gang, or any gang did. As Makayla laid there, she then thought that she wasn’t exactly amused that he was high because he was always seen high off something or crossfaded. Tonight she just hoped he was drugged up enough for him to tell her what she wanted.
He trailed his hand up her thigh and he pulled down her leggings. Although she was disgusted with herself, she couldn’t deny that it felt kind of good, the way that he was touching her. She grabbed his face and continued to make out with him, biting his lip and moaning to motivate him. He groaned as she wrapped her nails around his neck and dug them deep into his skin.
Makayla had gone further than she had intended, but at this point she knew there really was no turning back. Before she knew it, she was tilting her head back and screaming in pleasure as he drove his dick deep insi
de of her. She moaned and moved her hips as she took all of him. He had perfect hip movements and knew how to please her. She was surprised that she was actually enjoying herself, the way he was moving made her body crave him more. It was so good, that it didn’t take long for her to come all over him. This pleased him and motivated him to make her come again. He flipped her over and grabbed her by her weave, gripping it nice and tight as he slid back inside of her. She gripped the sheets and pushed her ass up in the air, just the way he liked.
Makayla came again, but this time, so did Mike. He gripped her hips as he increased his speed until he came inside of her. Makayla didn’t mind. She was on birth control, so she knew there was no way she was getting pregnant. It was weird how afterwards, she wanted to fuck him all over again. She wasn’t expecting to feel that way.
They both collapsed on the bed and cuddled. Makayla wasn’t here for the sex though. That was only the gateway to what she really wanted. She got out of the bed and grabbed him a bottle of Ciroc and a nice fat blunt. He lit up and graciously took the gifts. She sat right by him and coaxed him as he lit up the blunt, taking a few hits before taking a couple big gulps of the peach Ciroc. Makayla waited patiently til he was nice and crossfaded before she started to question him.
