His climax overtook him as he felt her convulse around him and heard her yell as she splintered. The groans and cries from Derrom showed he’d also reached his release.

Slowly he reached earth, and his body relaxed and connected with both his lovers. He nuzzled Tavvy’s neck, felt her melt into him, and saw Derrom hold her before flicking him a kiss.

  This, perhaps, was their beginning?

He felt a sharp, searing pain in his shoulder, worse than anything he’d felt before, and then his world was swirling, before blackness and heat overtook him. How could such pain be his when he was still coupled and experiencing such pleasure?

  CHAPTER THREE

Tavvy heard a soft phut, and seconds later felt Ehrst slump onto her, his body a dead weight..

“Get off me.” She started to move backward, as she tried to push him off her.

Derrom left her, and it seemed with reluctance, as his cock was still lying tantalizingly close to her mouth.

“What the—?” he asked her as he tried to see what was happening.

“How the hell do I know?” Tavvy snapped. What a way to come down from the ceiling. It was all well and good having your lover slump on you in sated exhaustion, but somehow this didn’t quite feel like that. “He just sort of collapsed on top of me.”

She watched as Derrom still half undressed moved around her, and then felt the weight on her lifted.

  “Upstairs, quickly.”

What? Dom and a half mode, eh? Hadn’t he had enough for now?

“Oh, hell, Barbie, just do it, okay? Without arguing or moaning. Get up the stairs and open the bedroom door for him, not you.”

Tavvy scrambled upward, uncaring that yet again Derrom was getting a full view of her naked nether regions. She suspected he wouldn’t even give them a passing glance.

She was almost right. As he lifted Ehrst’s body onto his shoulder, he gave said regions a swift tap. “Nice ass. Now move it quick. We need to get off these stairs.”

His body tightened as the air filled with tension and heat. Derrom, let his mind roam, and realized Malachi had unleashed his siren call, capturing the attention of the women in his orbit. He pitied any man in the vicinity; they would be fair game to the women demanding release.

She moved. She opened the door to the bedroom—was it really only a few minutes since she had stalked out of there?—and removed the still crumpled duvet, before bringing it to the men. Derrom laid Ehrst’s body on it, undressed him, and pulled the cover over him.

“Aren’t you going to do anything?” she asked. “Call a doctor or the police or someone?”

Derrom ignored her. “We need blood. Hold your hand out, Barbie.”

She couldn’t believe what she was hearing. “Pardon?”

He must have seen her shock. “Not for me,” he went on impatiently. “For him. Mine’s in the fridge. Now hold out your thumb, or I’ll fang the blood out. And as I don’t want it for me, it will bloody hurt. And that isn’t a pun.”

Slowly she held her arm out toward him and watched with almost morbid fascination as he pricked her thumb with a needle he’d conjured from somewhere. A small droplet appeared, and his head dipped as he sucked. Even in spite of the seriousness of the situation, the ashen and unmoving man on the bed behind her a reminder of things that were very wrong, Tavvy felt a quiver of arousal seep thorough her. Depraved or what?

“Um, what are you doing? I thought you were…” Shit, had she nearly said a cocksucker, not a thumb-sucker?

He laughed, a harsh almost guttural sound. “I’m both, do both, whichever’s necessary. Right now I need your blood mixed with mine. Then we might be able to save Ehrst. Might.” He sucked again, and she watched his eyes go black.

  “Ahh-choo.”

  “What the—?”

“I sneezed, okay? I’ve got a cold, my nose is all bunged up, my head is fuzzy, and I can’t hear properly. You sound like you’re talking through a goldfish bowl.”

Tavvy watched in amazement as his mouth tightened on her thumb, and drew on it long and hard before he swallowed and lifted his head, laughing.

“Oh, by all I hold holy, that is fucking classic. You’ve got a cold and can’t hear properly. No wonder when Malachi released his siren it failed.”

Who on earth was Malachi? Apart from that, she wondered what else was going on. Tavvy realized she’d better contact her bosses, but what the heck could she say? I’ve just had the best orgasm of my life, and by the way Ehrst has been… Has been what? Killed? Oh, fuck, will Derrom get these thoughts?

“You didn’t answer me,” she said cautiously.

He looked up. “I only get thoughts involving me. I’m only half witch, and I’ve never bothered to expand my skills. I’m beginning to wish I’d paid attention in class now.” He nodded at Ehrst.

  “Is he alive?”

Derrom shook his head. “Not really. Look, now I need blood. Can you get me a carton out of the fridge, please?”

Shit, was this The Vampire Diaries or something? “Er, a carton?” Tavvy latched on to the first thing she could think of. “As in a carton of blood? Like orange juice?”

“For fuck’s sake, woman, yes!” Derrom was impatient. “And don’t get your panties in a twist; it’s pig’s blood. That works for me. Oh, and I’ll have a slice of black pudding as well. Hurry up, will you? The quicker I get to bite him, the more chance he has.”

Okay, well if he liked to snack on black pudding, who was she to argue? After all it had to be better than a battered, deep-fried chocolate bar, which was what she’d been offered the previous night as a snack.

Tavvy left the room and found the kitchen. Walking over to a large shiny fridge, she fumbled with the door and opened it; one look at the contents made her feel sick. Liver, kidney, and black pudding sat in various tubs, all neatly labeled and dated. Next, she thought, she’d be finding a pig’s head or something equally gruesome. She grabbed a luckily opaque carton and brought it back to Derrom. “Is this it?”

He gave it the briefest glance. “Yeah, pull the top open, please. I don’t want to leave him.” He was sitting on the bed next to Ehrst, his fingers on Ehrst’s neck.

Tavvy pulled the two sides apart with shaky hands and looked away as she passed it to him.

“Squeamish? Tough. If we get through this, your squeamish levels will rocket, or you’ll crash and burn. Will you help?”

Tavvy nodded. “I’ll have to contact our bosses. Tell them I’ve, er, been detained.” Oh, shit. She saw the moment Derrom understood the way she said “our.” His eyes narrowed, and she felt she could see him filing the information away. However he merely answered her in a terse voice.

“Later. Now I need you naked next to him in order for him to sense skin on skin. Our blood won’t be enough; he’ll have to detect our heartbeats. The blood will help flush out what’s been shot into him, and our heartbeats should sustain him and keep him with us until he’s able to manage on his own. Don’t argue.”

She didn’t. The tone in his voice left no room for arguments. Tavvy scrambled out of her skirt and blouse, uncaring of just what she was revealing; hell, they’d both seen more than anyone else in ages, so why worry?

  “How?” she asked.

“In front and facing him. Hold him tightly. He’s aware, just not able to respond. I need to give him our blood, to make him part of us” As she did as he asked, she watched him shuck his jeans and get in to lie behind him, all without taking his hand from Ehrst’s neck.

Hell, Ehrst was aroused. Was that some weird vampire thing that he could be aroused while poisoned or dead or whatever? No, Derrom had said not, because if it was then Ehrst must have vampire blood in him as well. And Derrom had sucked her thumb; what did that do? Because she was getting wet even faster.

“No vampire blood, not yet, and not unless either of you ask.” Derrom muttered. “Only then.” He was still holding his hand on Ehrst’s neck.

Tavvy decided now wasn’t the time to think about that. “What
now?” she asked. “What do I do?”

  “You fuck him.”

What? Had she heard that properly? “That’s non-consensual; it’s rape. I can’t do that.”

“It’s lifesaving. And we can,” Derrom argued.

“Look, listen, and learn, love. I’ve a good idea a poison, a supernatural potion if you like, has struck him. The mark had all the signs of Sartorian—a group of people who will kill to steal for profit—poison. Judging by the way he is affected, it has to be because of them.”

She jumped at the name of a group of hardened killers spoken so casually.

“We can sort this out,” Derrom continued, strangely oblivious to her panic. “But it needs all three of us to do it. He’s aware, but he’s paralyzed. For fuck’s sake, Barbie.” His voice hardened, turned explosive. “Look at him. Shit, his cock is so hard, if I rested my fangs on it, he’d snap in two. He wants us, both of us, and by our gods, he’s going to have us. Even if I have to tie you up and impale you on him. It’s the only was I know to bring him back. It’s an old medicine from my mama’s mama. She was more than a witch. And no, don’t ask; I won’t tell. I signed in blood to keep the secret. Now are you going here willingly, or do I carry out my threat?”

Was she? In any other circumstance she’d have said no, just to experience his other scenario, since it seemed somewhat appealing. Tavvy, how sick can you get? Get Ehrst better, and then see if you can get that little act played out. What the hell am I doing?

  She nodded. “Tell me how.”

Derrom laughed; it sounded strange under the circumstances, but it did her heart good to hear it. And it seemed Ehrst’s—not Ehrst’s heart—but definitely another part of his anatomy was affected as well.

“He twitched,” she said excitedly. “Well, part of him did.”

“Good. Now can you ease him in gently? Are you wet enough? Do you need some help?”

Now this was surreal, discussing how aroused she was with a vampire.

“I’m, er, fine. On my side like this?”

“Just like that, love. Yeah, perfect. Tighten those pussy muscles and hold him firmly. Can you feel him hard inside you?”

Could she ever! “Yeah. Uh, what’s this going to do?” Apart from getting her hot and bothered, aroused and anxious to come.

“Oh, you’ll be sorted out as well, Barbie. No worries there.”

Damn, he was reading her thoughts again.

“I’m going to slide in his ass, so he is surrounded by us. Then we’re going to help him come, we’re going to come, and I’m going to bite him. With all that combined, we’ll give him enough of us to make him aware again. Or so I’ve been led to believe. I’ve never actually tried it out. It’s a hardship, I know.” She saw his eyes twinkle at her over Ehrst’s shoulder. “Then? Well, we do it all over again. And again and again and again until he’s back with us. It could be a long session, you know, so start thinking about what you want to eat, love. You’ll need to keep your strength up.” She felt Ehrst harden even more, tightened her muscles, and began a sweet rhythm.

  CHAPTER FOUR

Why was he peering through mist? Swirly rainbow mist, where he needed to swim to move? What the fuck was happening? Why was he horny, hard, and inside the tightest and delicious female body he had experienced in an age and not active? Not tweaking nipples, eating what he could sense were hot, moist lips, holding tightly to a lush, rounded ass? Why was Derrom—well, he hoped it was his lover—deep in his ass and not fucking him? He wanted it all, wanted everything. If he was the filling, then the sandwich better be classic.

His mind was still wavering, his body—apart from his cock—was uncooperative, but he knew he was in total shit. And somehow Derrom had persuaded Tavvy to help them, or else how would he be in such a cocooned state?

Just wait till he became whole again. He was going to recreate this scenario with all his parts working. The very thought gave him something to look forward to. However…

“Now, you asshole, relax and let this work. I can feel that overanalyzing brain of yours going full throttle.” The voice penetrated his brain, slowed and soothed him. Derrom, his lover, and until that night, his other half. Perhaps, he wondered hazily, instead of being part of a couple, he was now one of three.

He knew Derrom was going to change him, knew in some strange way it was inevitable.

“No, it’s not, not yet. No turning you unless you ask. You know that. I’ve blocked off my vamp side. I hope I can keep it blocked, blood and all. I have Tavvy’s blood in me so it’s also in you. None of it mixed with my vamp, only my witch. Right, stop trying to help; just let us do the work, okay? Lie back and enjoy, love. We’ll let you play a more active part when you can.” He would have nodded, but couldn’t. He heard Derrom’s laugh, soft and siren-like in his ear.

  “Now just a little nip.”

Ehrst felt pain, and it was pain, not a nip. He swore to himself. The bastard. Luckily it didn’t last long. It had been short-lived, but it went far into him. Probably as well he couldn’t move; he’d have kneed him otherwise.

Ah, now that was good. He felt his cock pulled farther into that sweet pussy at the same time that Derrom’s cock moved inside his ass. Then a rhythm was happening: one in; one out. And all the time that pressure on his neck. It felt amazing.

“Brace yourself, love. It’s all-or-nothing time, and this will fucking hurt.”

Ahhh! He was right. The pressure on his neck eased, and he felt a sudden bite on his shoulder and his climax approaching. Through the mists he could here Derrom urging Tavvy, urging him, urging himself before he bit hard again.

  “Now. Come now. Fucking come.”

He obeyed his Dom. He came as he felt Derrom spill in his ass and Tavvy clench herself around him and come, her sighs and groans penetrating into his mind through the veils. The bite, Oh, shit, the bite. It was hard, deep, and hurting, and causing after shock after shock after shock until he felt milked and empty. His body relaxed; he was slipping away…

  ***

“Dammit, vamp, we’ve lost him. Do something. He’s gone limp again.”

Barbie sounded frantic, as if she did care. Had some of Malachi worked, or was it just human compassion? It amused him to think that he, as a vampire heard and understood all about the annoying merman. Derrom had sensed him send the siren call for long and loud enough for it to be received by all the women in the building; the air had pulsed with their arousal. All except one—Octavia who had a cold and couldn’t hear very well! How ironic it would be that the one person who was experiencing what looked like an orgasm to top all orgasms was doing it without Malachi’s interference.

Derrom laughed. His body was heavy, his strength gone. “Wouldn’t you go limp after a fucking like that, Barbie? Hell, I’ve gone the same way. You’re looking like a damp noodle, and we’re well. We’ve just given him the time of his life, and he was too far gone to appreciate it.”

He looked at the motionless body held tightly between him and Tavvy and checked the bite he had made over the bruise and tiny irregular puncture holes he’d found on Ehrst’s shoulder. As he wasn’t sure what had hit his lover, he could only assume his surmise was correct, and that somehow poison had been given to him. He wondered if what he was doing was going to be enough to save Ehrst. Derrom hoped that along with the sexual energy all three had expended, it would be. Only time, and another session or two, would tell. Now he needed food. Not rabbit food, vampire food.

“We can’t leave him alone, love, so you want to ring down and ask Sam to get someone to send food up?”

He saw her glance at the clock, and he checked it, too. Shit. 2 a.m. There was no way they would be able to order food from the bar now; it looked like he was going to be the chef.

“Well, maybe not. Think you’ll have to become a carnivore. Right, you keep him tucked inside you as long as you can, hold him close, and I’ll rustle up some food. And I’ll ring down to check no one’s waiting for you.” He’d hoped that when the time was righ
t for them to leave, the bar would be empty, and their movements wouldn’t be noticed.

“I’ll sort out the food first, shall I? What are your dietary requirements?” He made sure she would be able to hear the chuckle in his voice.

“I’m not eating black pudding,” she said as he pulled out of Ehrst’s warmth and moved toward the kitchen.

  “Pig’s head?”

His answer was a pillow hitting his ass. “Fat head,” she shouted, but he heard the humor as she replied.

“Fat cock as well, and it’s waiting its turn,” he called back as he opened the fridge and realized what it must have looked like to her. He’d forgotten just how much stuff he’d stashed earlier when he’d snuck in to surprise Ehrst. Looking in there would be many humans’ nightmare, let alone one who was a vegetarian.

“Omelet? Pasta and tomato sauce?” He rummaged some more. “Fish pie?”

  “Homemade?”

In her dreams. “Well, the omelet will be. The others are courtesy of a well-known gourmet food shop.”

  “I’ll have omelet, then.”

“Fine, just give me two minutes.” He grabbed the phone and pressed in the bar number.

Dev answered. Where the hell was Sam? No way should Dev be left alone in charge of the bar. He was a demon, sure, but a barman here, not responsible like Sam, the co-owner along with Ehrst.

“Hey, Dev, it’s Derrom. Where’s Sam?”

“I don’t know, Derrom. I haven’t seen him since the shit it the fan.”
