Sebastian pulled into Roxanne’s driveway and turned off the ignition. He didn't like putting his hands where they didn't belong but he couldn’t stay outside for the remainder of the night with Roxanne asleep in the car next to him. She would never forgive him in the morning. Sighing with relief when he finally found her keys, Sebastian went around the passenger side and lifted her out.

Climbing the stairs with Roxanne in his arms was hell. It was bad enough that since seeing Roxanne at the club he’d had a permanent erection, but now it was worse with her ass rubbing against it with every step he took and her mouth positioned right over his pulse at his neck, stirring his desire higher every time she exhaled on it.

Immediately after entering her room, Sebastian placed her on the bed and then took off her shoes. He wasn’t a saint but while undressing her Sebastian tried not to look, more for his benefit than hers. He wasn’t made from stone and there was only so much he could handle for one night. He picked her up again and pulled down the sheet before setting her down again and covering her before leaving the room.

He chuckled. Inviting Roxanne and her friends to join him and the others tonight was fun and entertaining. Out of the four of them, Ava was the one that kept them in line like a mother would do with her children. Roxanne was shy while Kira was more outgoing. Lexi talked to them but even an obtuse person could tell that she was distant. He had wondered briefly if it was because they were strangers to her, before pushing the thought away.

Ava went out of her way to annoy Joshua, which was fine with him. Of all of his brothers, Joshua was the hardest to irritate, but Ava did an excellent job.

Nick had given Kira his come-home-and-strip-for-me smile. She’d snorted and shook her head at him. The look on his face afterward was so comical the whole table laughed. Adrian wouldn’t stop looking at Kira, but he didn't try to have a conversation with her either.

They all talked and laughed until around eleven-thirty when Lexi announced that she had to get home and drop Ava and Roxanne off on the way. He volunteered to take Roxanne home after he dropped Nick, Joshua and Adrian off. He asked about Kira, but she told him her bodyguard drove her so she was fine. Roxanne and her friends hugged each other and waved goodbye to everyone else. Then they watched until Lexi’s car disappeared out of sight.

Once he found a guest room, he stripped out of his clothes and went to the bathroom for a cold shower. He felt guilty wanting her now that she was drunk and out cold, but it wasn’t something he could help. Just hearing her voice made him hard.

After his quick shower, he brushed his teeth with a new toothbrush he found. Back in the bedroom he pulled the covers down and climbed into bed.

Roxanne woke up at about six in the morning. Her head felt like someone had taken a baseball bat and hit her with it repeatedly. What the hell happened last night? She couldn’t remember anything after they’d gone over to sit with Sebastian last night.

  How much had she drunk?

She looked around and sure enough, she was in her bedroom. How had she got here? She shook her head and winced; it was the wrong thing to do.

She pushed back the covers and swung her legs over the edge of the bed, and then she stretched and yawned as she stood. The bathroom had little light so she flipped the switch and winced as the light filled the room, making her head hurt more. She stripped out of her clothes and stepped under the shower, shivering as the cold water touched her skin. After her shower she took two Advil, hoping it and the shower would be enough to make her feel like herself again.

She brushed her teeth then returned back to her bedroom to get dressed. She took the sheets off the bed and tossed them in the hamper, then pulled the hamper down the stairs, parking it outside the second guest room. She froze as she stepped inside. There was somebody sleeping in the bed, but she couldn’t tell who it was for the person was facing the other way.

She racked her brain trying to remember last night but it was no good. She was about to ask who it was when she suddenly found herself staring into eyes that were heavy with sleep. Roxanne suppressed a groan as her pussy grew wet. She wondered briefly how he would react if she climbed on the bed with him and beg him to take her hard and fast. She bit back a whimper before it escaped. She wanted him but she was scared. Having her heart broken so many times was taking a toll on her, plus what they had wasn’t real. She wasn’t talking about the attraction between them for that was as real as she was. Maybe when Ashley finally backed off she would conquer all her fears by getting down and dirty with him.

  “Good morning, Roxanne.”

She shivered when his sleepy voice drawled her name. “Sebastian,” she said then winced at how shrill she sounded. Toning her voice down she asked, “What happened last night?”

Sebastian sighed and sat up in the bed with the sheet draped around his waist. Immediately her eyes were glued to his golden, muscled chest. Her mouth watered. She shook her head trying to shake off the lust so she could concentrate on what he was about to say.

Sebastian’s cock jumped to attention at the heat he saw in Roxanne’s eyes when she looked at him and prayed that her eyes wouldn’t move south. What would she do now if he got up from the bed and pretended to forget that he was naked? He was tempted to do it, but he wasn’t going to. Well, not yet anyway. He tried not to groan when he saw her nipples poking through her shirt. He shook his head to clear his lust-filled thoughts so he could answer her question.

“After you and your friends joined us last night, you drank a few,” he cleared his throat and continued, “martinis and tequila shots.” He chuckled when her eyes widened and she winced and ducked her head.

She was probably wondering what she said or did last night while she was drunk. He shook his head when she looked up again.

“You didn't say or do anything insane last night,” he said, trying to pacify her before she went hysterical. He heard her sigh of relief and smiled. Her eyes widened and her mouth fell open a few minutes later and he wondered what the problem was now.

Sebastian followed her gaze and saw that she was staring at his cock, which was getting harder the longer she stared. She licked her lips and he groaned. Her eyes flew to his face and he saw panic and desire warring in her eyes.

“Sorry, I'm going to finish cleaning,” she mumbled then ran from the room. Why did she try to fight the attraction between them? Maybe she didn't feel it. He shook his head. That couldn’t be true because the heat he saw in her eyes was enough to start a fire. And her nipples poking through her shirt were solid proof that she wanted him.

He sighed. He didn't know the reason but he wasn’t going to stop until he did.

  Chapter Fourteen

  She ran from Sebastian again!

She didn't even thank him for bringing her home safely last night, nor did she get the sheets she’d gone for in the first place. As embarrassing as that was she didn't know what else to do. It wasn’t like she could go back and apologize for running away.

But she couldn’t have stopped herself running if she’d tried. What woman would like feeling so conflicted all the time? Sure, part of her liked the feelings but another part hated when he was around and she went from wanting to run far away, to all hot and bothered, then content, and lastly another deeper emotion—that she didn't want to think about—at the same time. That scared her more than she was willing to admit to anyone, much less herself. What was she going to do? She felt attraction before but this was sizzling and she really didn't know how to handle it.

Even now she could still feel her pussy getting wet at the thought him lying in the bed naked, except for the sheet covering his growing erection. Roxanne shook her head as she tried to shake off the lust so she could finish cleaning before Lexi and Zach arrived.

“I suppose you came in the room for something.”

She jumped. “Why are you sneaking up on me?”

He grinned and that had her heart doing
cartwheels. Shit! “I'm sorry I frightened you.”

Roxanne nodded and ran to the guestroom where she stripped the sheets off the bed. She threw them in the washer with the others and started the machine. She took deep breaths trying to calm her racing heart and her desire to strip and lick him. When that was done, she started cleaning the house from top to bottom and hoped she didn't flood the house the next time she creamed just from watching Sebastian grin.

Some hours later she was finally done cleaning the house. She’d swept and mopped every corner. The laundered clothes were now folded. The beds in every room now had a clean sheet, plus the bathrooms were now sparkling and now she was hungry and tired from all that work.

She had no one to blame but herself. Sebastian had offered to help but she’d refused. He’d went away grumbling that he would make himself useful and make breakfast, then he’d smiled and her heart had flipped as moisture flooded her panties.

Roxanne headed to the kitchen intent on getting something to eat. She didn't care what it was as long as it was edible. As she rounded the corner she saw Sebastian at the sink shirtless. Immediately her hunger for food was replaced with hunger for Sebastian. She felt her panties dampen; her nipples tightened and rubbed against her lace bra raising her arousal up another notch. She barely managed to stifle her moan.

  “Eat.”

Roxanne blinked, then blinked again before looking from Sebastian to the plate of food he’d set on the table.

“Thank you,” she said as she sat down. Her eyes widened when she saw the amount of food on the plate. She didn't know she had this much food in her fridge; nevertheless she was still going food shopping later.

She ate with gusto, closing her eyes and moaning every time pieces of the food touched her tongue. She was good in the kitchen, but Sebastian was a god in the kitchen.

  “Stand up.”

Her eyes flew open and widened at the huskiness in Sebastian's voice. One look into his eyes was all it took to rekindle her desire for him. The desire that shone from them had her trembling one moment, and then fidgeting the next. She knew what would happen if she did stand up, but she couldn’t stop her body even when a part of her was dying to run away.

“I’m going to kiss you,” he said when she stood and before she could utter a protest his mouth covered hers.

She opened her mouth without a second thought, not caring anymore if it was wrong or right, he thrust his tongue into her mouth and their tongues tangled. He tasted like coffee and faintly of mint. The kiss wasn’t gentle, it was wild and sizzling which suited her just fine. It reminded her of the sexual tension that had been building between them from the first time they met.

He pulled her closer to him and deepened the kiss. Lifting her up in his arms, he walked over to the counter as she ground her pussy over his jeans-covered erection. The zipper rubbed against her clit in the sweetest way. She moaned. As he positioned her on the counter, he wrapped his arms around her waist and then one disappeared under her shirt.

Roxanne moaned low in her throat as he rubbed and teased her nipples. Pleasure shot from her nipples to her clit, making her whimper in need. The other hand left her waist and quickly unbuttoned her jeans. He found her clit with his thumb, and then pumped two fingers inside her. She rode his fingers, moaning and whimpering as he began rubbing her clit. She broke the kiss and moaned as her orgasm washed through her. She couldn’t wait any longer, she wanted, no needed to feel his cock filling her. Dropping her hands to his jeans, Roxanne fumbled with shaky hands to unzip and unbutton them. His zipper opened the same time the doorbell rang, bringing them out of their lust-induced state.

“I'm coming,” she yelled as she stifled a giggle that almost escaped and reluctantly moved her hands from Sebastian’s jeans.

She looked at Sebastian as they started to straighten their clothes. Right before she hopped off the counter, Sebastian leaned in and whispered, “We’ll finish this later.”

She couldn’t stop her pussy from getting drenched, but she didn't want to. It scared her knowing that she wanted Sebastian in her life, when she’d made her up her mind before moving here that she didn't want another man in her life. But Sebastian made her want and need him, in a way that would have him running far away if he knew.

Roxanne made sure her breathing was level before she opened the door.

“Come in,” she said, smiling at Lexi and Zach.

Zach was Lexi’s four-year-old son. He was tall for his age and lean but the boy could eat. He returned her smile and ran to her.

  “Auntie Roxanne.”

Roxanne picked him up, twirling him around and laughing as he giggled and squealed. She set him back on the floor with a kiss to his forehead.

There was a choked gasp behind her, she turned and caught the expressions running across Sebastian's face; shock, anger and resentment. She looked at Lexi, then back at him. What was going on? She turned back to Lexi. Her face was ashen and her eyes were wide.

What was Lexi afraid of? Roxanne crossed her arms over her chest and pursed her lips as she watched them. Questions she wasn’t sure she wanted the answers to ran through her head.

Was Sebastian Zach’s father? If he was, what was going to happen between him and her? Did he still have feelings for Lexi? Why did she go and fall for someone whose heart was already taken?

Roxanne froze. Was she really in love with Sebastian? She forced the thought away, because she really wasn’t ready for the answer to that question as yet.

“Not in front of my son,” Lexi said pulling Roxanne back to the present.

Sebastian nodded and walked back to the kitchen. Lexi took Zach to the living room. After a few seconds, Roxanne heard the television turn on, and then she saw Lexi heading her way.

“You can come if you like,” Lexi said then she smiled though it looked shaky to Roxanne.

Roxanne followed behind her. Sebastian was watching the door, his body tense and eyes hard. “How could you—” he started to say then stopped when Lexi’s body went rigid and she looked at him. All trace of fear had left her face as her eyes turned hard and she clenched and unclenched her fists at her side.

“Don't you dare judge me? You have no idea about what happened, so don't you dare do it,” she said coldly.

“Why don't you tell me then? How you could be so heartless to keep a child from his father,” Sebastian challenged.

  Lexi laughed bitterly.

“I’m heartless? Michael—” she flinched when she said the name. Roxanne knew that if she saw it, then Sebastian did too.

“Michael told me that he was going to marry his high school sweetheart and move to Texas, after I told him I loved him, like I did every night after he made love to me. Oh and let’s not forget he was still inside me. And the worst part, Michael was going to leave without telling me. Now you tell me out of the two of us, who is heartless?”

A tear escaped and Roxanne knew Lexi had no idea that she was crying.

By the time Lexi was finished Sebastian seemed to be fighting hard to keep his breakfast in, since his complexion had turned green. “I'm sorry, but I still don't understand why you didn't tell him or find a relative of his and tell them about the baby?”

“I didn't tell him because I don't want to be the reason his marriage didn't work out. And when we were together, we never really talked about our families so I didn't even know if he had any relatives in California. What are you to him?”

“I'm his brother. I'm really sorry for how he treated you and for assuming the worst about you. Can I ask you something?”

  Lexi nodded.

“Do you hate him? Michael, I mean.”

More tears spilled. “I've tried. I really have, but Zachary looks just like him and hating him feels like I'm trying to hate my son and that I will never do, no matter what his father did to me in the past.”

Sebastian nodded. “I would like to get to know him, if you don't mind.”

  “I don't mind, Sebastian. Besides I won't keep my
son away from his only blood relatives. I might not hate your brother but I may never forgive him. However, that doesn't mean that I would willingly deprive my son of meeting his uncles. I’d love to stay and talk to you some more, Sebastian, but I'm running late so it’ll have to be another time. Thanks again, Roxanne. I’ll leave his car seat for you before I go,” she said before leaving the kitchen.

“Be good for Auntie Roxanne, I’ll call you tonight. Come and give Mommy a kiss,” Roxanne heard Lexi say, and then about half a minute later she heard her car drive away.

“I can't believe my own brother did that to a woman,” Sebastian said after a long moment of silence.

Roxanne nodded, but said nothing for a while. “What did she mean by his only blood relatives?” Sebastian asked.

Her eyes widened. “Do you want to meet him?” Roxanne asked instead of answering his question. It wasn’t her story to tell and if he wanted to know, he’d just have to ask Lexi.

His eyes narrowed, but he didn't push. Thank God! “Yes, I’d like to meet him, please.”

Roxanne nodded then went to the living room, where she found Zach watching a cartoon. “Zach,” she said. When he looked at her she continued, “I have a friend who wants to meet you. Is that all right?”

  “That man?” he asked.

Roxanne smiled and nodded. He seemed to be torn between watching the cartoon and meeting Sebastian. Roxanne almost laughed when he looked longingly at the television before nodding.

“Come on then kiddo, let’s go.” She held his hand as they walked back to the kitchen, hoping Sebastian had enough time to change his horrified expression to something pleasant.

“Sebastian, this is Zachary, but everyone calls him Zach and Zach, this is Sebastian,” Roxanne announced when she reached the kitchen. She breathed a sigh of relief when Sebastian smiled and Zach returned it.
