His Shy Librarian: A steamy older man younger woman romance novella
Page 6
I hadn’t expected this. Shy, demure Karey riding me? I hadn’t even dared have a fantasy like that, at least not for her first time. This had almost been delayed because she’d almost made me come before I could stop her. I wanted to come in her mouth, her eyes on mine and her lips wrapped around my cock, but not yet. I needed to be inside her. The rest would come later, many times. But I wanted to make her mine.
My cock had brushed the wet heat of her, and she’d pushed back for more, so I stopped trying to roll us over and went with whatever she seemed to prefer. Had there ever been anything as sweet as her lowering herself on my cock, her eyes nervous but hungry?
I used my hands on her full hips to lift and lower her as I thrust deep into her now. Her first few movements had been slow and tentative, but once she was adjusted to the feeling of my cock inside her, Karey had taken control. Her hips rocked with mine as she rode me, pressing down on my cock again and again, still slowly but building speed and intensity.
The expressions on her face as she took control of her pleasure were so beautiful, I wished she could replay this later and see for herself. It was as if she were discovering something wonderful with each roll of her body, some new pleasure or sensation.
“You’re so fucking gorgeous,” I said.
She cried out and snapped her hips down against me. I pulled her down into a kiss that hindered her movement for a moment, but when our lips parted, Karey pushed against my chest and sat up, riding me in a seated position, her thigh muscles and my hands helping her up and down. She sucked her bottom lip into her mouth, and the sheer sight of her like that made me moan.
Her bra still hung beneath her full breasts which bounced every time she did, her thighs spread wide as she sat on my cock. I’d never seen anything as erotic.
I let go of her hips and palmed those round tits instead, pinched and stroked them, holding them as I used my lower body to drive up into her so fully that there was almost no need for her to do much of the work. But she did, using her thighs and her body to lift up and push down onto me, her hands grasping my forearms for leverage.
“Yeah, baby. Mmm, Karey, you’re so beautiful. So hot and tight around me.” The sheer thrill of squeezing her breasts while she practically bounced on my cock was nearly enough to drive me over the edge. “You like that, baby?”
“Yeah,” she huffed out with a little cry.
“So sweet.” I dropped a hand to where our bodies joined, splayed my fingers over her lower stomach, and used my thumb to tap her clit. Karey’s reaction was instant.
She cried out sharply, her head tossed back.
“Going to come for me, baby?”
I thrust as she rocked down, tapping a drumbeat on her clit, and her pussy clenched around me as she shouted. All the tension that had built in my lower body snapped loose at once as I came deep inside her.

I’d never known anything like that. Every sensation and every orgasm had been better than the one before. Sitting atop Rick, his cock inside me, his hands teasing me, was like nothing I’d ever imagined. Feeling him thrust up into me, sending little trembles through my body, was wonderful all on its own even without an orgasm.
But when he drove into me and flicked at me with his thumb, another wave of pleasure crashed over me even stronger than the last, and I shouted louder than I had since I was a kid, shouting and playing on the beach. The cry was torn out of me, and when another wave hit with another thrust, I shouted, “Rick!” both in awe and because I didn’t know how much more I could take.
I squeezed his arm, and his hand stopped moving on my breast, but his thumb kept tap-tap-tapping in time with my throbbing pussy. The third spasm arched my back and sent a shudder through me that matched his as he thrust and groaned in pleasure a final time.
Panting, I looked down at him, and his expression must have matched mine. Stunned, but happy. Amazed. And at least for me, so in love.
I collapsed forward and pressed my face against his neck, both of us slightly damp with sweat and still breathing like we’d been for a jog. After a few moments, I felt his cock slip out of me, and my first thought was I can’t wait to do that again.
When I moved up so that I could look into his sapphire eyes, I only enjoyed the view for a moment before I kissed him softly. “That was wonderful.”
“You were amazing,” he said. “One of the most sensual, sexual things I’ve ever seen.”
My face heated up, though it had to already be flushed from exertion.
“You shocked me. But in a good way.” He brushed his knuckles over my cheek.
“I surprised myself,” I admitted. “But it seemed so right.”
“It did.” He pulled me down into another kiss, then rolled us so that we were on our sides, facing each other. I pressed against him as his arm went around me. “Everything about this seems right to me, Karey.”
I nodded. “I feel the same. We just fit.”
“Yes.” He pulled the covers up over us and held me close. “You don’t have anywhere to be, do you?”
I snorted. “Well, there’s my ten o’clock date, and the one at midnight I don’t want to be late for.”
He kissed my forehead. “No, you’ll have to miss those, because you’re staying right here with me.”
“Actually, I told Mom I’d probably be staying with Allie tonight. So, I can actually stay right here with you, if you want.”
“If I want.” He scoffed. “You’ll be lucky if I let you leave in the morning.” Then he dipped his head to look at me, and kissed me deeply. “You’ll be lucky if you can walk in the morning.”
I nipped at his lower lip. “If that’s a challenge, Mr. Reiner, I accept.”
Rick rolled on top of me, laughing, and I was glad I’d mentioned that I might not be home. I didn’t want to leave his arms that night. I didn’t want to leave them, ever. I probably never would.
Chapter Eighteen
Richard
I knew we had a date scheduled this very day. I knew Karey would come home with me, and had probably already mentioned that she might stay with her friend so her parents wouldn’t be alarmed when she stayed gone until morning. I knew I was going to take my time making her come as many times as I could, like our last date, and I’d enjoy feeling her wrapped around me as I lost myself.
But I couldn’t wait another three hours. It had been a whole five days since I’d really spent time with her thanks to our busy end-of-term schedules. And I felt like a teenager in my desire. I wanted to see her right then.
Fortunately, I only had to walk to the library to do so. I had books to drop off anyway, and in fact they were overdue, but she hadn’t been at the library yesterday, and the books were a convenient excuse for onlookers.
I still worried someone might see through us and report inappropriate behavior to her father. Maybe because every time I thought about Karey my heart beat a little faster and my breath came a little quicker, I was sure it must be visible to other people.
I’d made a decision about her father and the whole dilemma of fraternizing between faculty and students. I wanted to talk to Karey about that, but I wouldn’t bring it up at the library. We’d discuss that over dinner, get that settled and behind us, and enjoy the rest of the night with a plan in front of us. That would make me feel much better about the whole situation.
I walked into the library, and instantly I could hear four or five male voices talking and laughing too loudly for what was supposed to be a quiet place of study. Hell, it would have been obnoxious in a bar.
I headed in that direction to take care of the problem. I hated that these loud, arrogant students so often took advantage of Karey’s soft-spoken mannerisms and—
“No, I said you’re going to have to leave.” Karey stood with one hand on her hip, other arm extended, pointing toward the door. “You’ve disrupted the other library patrons long enough. Go and come back when you’ve calmed down and can be quieter.”
> “But we’re not done.” A tall redhead who looked like he was still wearing his high school letterman jacket stood up, towering over her. He curved his body to seem more intimidating as he hovered over her, forcing her to look almost straight up. I took a step forward, prepared to make him regret that intimidation tactic, but Karey shook her head.
“Are you going to go quietly or do I need to call campus security?” She snapped her arm again, and after a brief staring contest between her and the redhead, he shrugged.
“Whatever. No need to be huffy.”
“You haven’t seen huffy,” she mumbled, just loud enough for him to catch, as she turned and walked toward the check-out desk. The boys gathered up their books, quieter than they had been, and skulked out of the library past me. Only then did Karey see me standing there.
She beamed at me as she sat behind the desk. I approached it and slid my books across it. “That was an impressive display, Miss Hathaway. I almost turned around and walked out with my tail between my legs just from overhearing that scolding.”
She took my books. “You’re silly.”
“No, I’m serious.”
“And these books are overdue. You’re lucky there’s a grace period.”
“You weren’t here yesterday. It was worth the fine to have an excuse to see you.” I’d said it softly, but I still looked around to be sure no one heard. “Six o’clock?”
“Yep.” Karey was meeting me at my place, because we were still worried about me picking her up at home. Hopefully all that would change after tonight.
“I can’t wait,” I admitted.
“Neither can I.”
We stood there making small talk and what probably looked like moon eyes at each other for a few more minutes, until I started to worry someone might notice. I didn’t really care, but what might get back to her father, that did worry me. Fortunately, I thought I had a solution.

“You look breathtaking.” I met Karey as she was getting out of her car and opened the door to mine for her to slip in. I’d told her to wear something fancy-dinner appropriate, because I wanted this to be a special occasion, and she hadn’t disappointed with an off-white deep V-neckline sleeveless dress that ended just above the knee and pumps in a matching color with a pale string of pearls that enhanced her cleavage. Jesus, she was stunning.
“We’re not going inside?” she asked.
“Nope.” I hurried around the car and got into the driver’s side. “Reservations. And we’re going to Fathom in Alesburg, so we’re cutting it close.”
We talked about school things and inane topics during the drive. After we’d enjoyed a leisurely dinner at Fathom, the server had returned my credit card so we could leave, and no one we knew had approached our table, I took a drink of my water and took her hand. She glanced around, a little surprised that I’d be so bold in public, but it didn’t matter to me. I couldn’t have this conversation without touching her.
“Karey, from the moment I met you, I knew there was something special about you. But I put that out of my head, because of your age, and your father. And then you came to the college, a young woman, a beautiful young woman, and I tried my best not to think about you as anything but my friend’s—the dean’s—daughter.”
I squeezed her hand and cleared my throat. “I tried, and I failed. And I’ve been in denial all this time about you and how you make me feel. It’s only been over the last few weeks that I’ve realized I can’t deny it anymore. And I can’t hold it back anymore, not even if your father is my boss.”
I took her hand in both of mine, and the way she blinked rapidly, her cheeks blushed with emotion, charmed me even more than she already had.
“Karey, I’ve been in love with you for a long time.”
“Oh, Rick,” she gasped. “I—I’ve been dreaming about you for years, and always thought it was nothing but a childish fantasy.”
“It’s not,” I assured her. “I promise, it’s not a fantasy, Karey.”
“I know. I’ve been in love with you, too.” She laughed as if saying it out loud had been a relief.
“You have no idea how happy that makes me.” I kissed her hand and held it to my chest. “I want to make a life with you. I want you more than anything I’ve ever wanted.”
“I want that, too,” she said, her voice trembling.
“So let’s tell your parents. Let’s get this out in the open with your father, and let whatever’s going to happen, happen. I can hide our relationship from anybody I need to hide it from while you’re a student, except him. I don’t want to sneak around with you like we’re doing something wrong. I love you, and I want him to know it.”
“Tomorrow,” she said, wiping her eyes. “You come over tomorrow evening, and we’ll tell them. I don’t like sneaking around, either.”
“It’ll be such a relief. To pick you up at your door like a gentleman.” I stroked her cheek. “I’m sure he’ll understand, and if not, there are other teaching jobs.”
“What? You can’t quit your job, Rick!”
“If it’s between losing my job and losing you, it’s an easy choice, Karey.”
She shook her head, but then leaned over and kissed me. “I can’t believe you love me,” she said, her voice catching.
“I do love you.” I rose, pulling her up by the hand. “Let’s go home so I can show you just how much.”
Chapter Nineteen
Karen
My mother had been surprised this morning when I said Richard Reiner was coming over after dinner. She was already wearing a sharp brown suit and skirt, looking ready for court, her short blonde hair neatly coiffed, and her lips colored in a dark shade that made her mouth look more severe than it really was.
“Your father should have invited him for dinner. Richard hasn’t been over in a while.”
“Dad didn’t invite him. I did.” I could have invited him for dinner, I supposed, but I didn’t know how the conversation was going to go.
“Oh?” She was looking over some paperwork, probably her latest case, and glanced up at me over the top of her reading glasses. “I didn’t know you were in his class.”
“I’m not. He’ll be over around seven.”
And the day at school had been hellish. If the clock on my phone had feelings, it would have rushed to seven, screaming in submission, considering how many times I frowned at it. The confession to my father simply couldn’t come fast enough.
And I couldn’t wait for my parents, for anyone to know, that Rick loved me. He loved me.
I could still barely believe it, and felt like I was floating off the ground all day. I thought maybe he’d pop by the library, but he’d only texted a few times to tell me how fantastic last night was (it had been amazing for me, too) and how he couldn’t wait to finally come clean with my parents tonight.
After I got home from the campus, I changed into my new little black dress I’d worn on my second date with Rick. Mom seemed to know something was up as we sat in the living room waiting. She kept giving me these little knowing smiles, or maybe it was my paranoia. Dad simply said, “Don’t you look nice.”
“Thanks, Dad.”
And then the doorbell rang.
I breezed past Dad to answer the door, squeezing Rick’s hands for a moment before he stepped in. He followed me into the living room.
“Rick,” my Dad said, shaking his hand. It was so odd that they’d been friends for years, but almost always shook hands in greeting and before parting ways, even if they saw each other a couple of times during the same day on campus. They both seemed so old-fashioned in that way, but I liked it. It seemed so civilized in a way that not many things about the world did sometimes.
“Lawrence.” Rick turned from Dad to kiss my mother on the cheek when she stood. “Anna, how have you been?”
“Fine, Rick. You should come around more, I’ve missed seeing you since I don’t get on the golf course with you two and your cronies.” That could have sounded like an insult
coming from some people, but not from my mom.
“Actually, about that. If all goes well…” Rick sat next to me on the couch, with my parents in club chairs at opposite ends. “You might be seeing more of me after all.”
Dad leaned forward, frowning as if he couldn’t figure out what Rick was talking about. My mother folded her hands in her lap and looked extremely pleased.
Finally, Rick took my hand in his and met my father’s gaze. “Lawrence, Karey and I have been seeing each other. And I’m here to ask your blessing.”
I leaned against him, clinging to his hand. It couldn’t have been easy for a grown man to ask another grown man for such a thing, like a teenager asking to date someone’s daughter. But he’d done it, and my mother looked like she was going to jump up and dance. She looked at my father expectantly.
Dad nodded. Then he stood and began pacing in front of the fireplace directly across from us.
“I see. So you’re asking for my blessing after the fact?”
“Yes,” Rick admitted. “We’ve only gone out a very short while, but we quickly realized that we’ve both been fighting the feelings we have for each other for a while. I love your daughter, and it’s important to me that you both know that.” He looked between my mom and dad.
Dad nodded again, his expression inscrutable. “And you’re fully aware of the no fraternization policy. Students and professors… I think it’s bad news.”
“I am. That’s why I’ll understand if you don’t want me to teach at Leighton in the fall.”
Dad’s head snapped up. “You’re willing to lose your job?”
Rick gazed at me, and if my parents hadn’t been in the room, I’d have melted against him.
“Of course. I can work anywhere.”
My dad sighed, prompting all of us to look at him again. He stepped in front of me. “What do you have to say about this, Karey?”
My throat got tight with emotion I hadn’t expected. “I love him, Dad.”
