Rían: (The O'Malleys Book 3)
Page 18
“Stop, stop, mercy,” she squealed at him laughing and hitting his shoulder as he dragged her over his shoulder. Rían plonked her gently on the sand and sat astride her belly. Holding her hands, he linked his fingers through hers, he kissed her sweetly on the mouth.
“What do you have for me?” Liadh whispered breathlessly against his mouth.
“I bought you something,” Rían said as he got off her and helped her up. Sitting beside her, his fingers automatically found her hair and began a slow caress of her scalp. Liadh felt like drooling at the beautiful sensations that his touch caused her.
Liadh raised an eyebrow and licked her lips.
“What did you buy me? Tell me. You know you don’t have to buy me anything!”
“I know I didn’t have to, I wanted to, here take it.” He took the folded envelope out of his back pocket and handed it to her. Liadh looked at the long white envelope and narrowed her eyes suspiciously.
“What’s this?”
“It’s the deeds to Rua Cottage. I want you to stay Liadh. I want you to stay with me.”
Liadh looked at him her expression unreadable.
“You bought Rua Cottage. For me?”
“Of course for you. I wanted you to have it. It’s your home; your family home and I never want to see anyone else living there. Even if you never use it. Just keep it. Your mother wanted you to have it. She kept it for you.”
“Rían it’s too much. I can’t take this from you. I don’t want you to think that is why I am with you, because you can buy me things. No. I want you to trust that I want you for you.” Rían put his hand over her mouth gently.
“Stop this. No more of it. I want to give you this, it means as much to me as it does to you. I have something else for you too.”
Liadh stared at him with her mouth open when he produced a velvet box and went onto his knees.
“I want you to be my wife Liadh. I don’t need any more time. Two months is enough for me. Twenty years waiting is long enough. Marry me and I promise you that you will never want for anything, emotionally or physically. I love you from the bottom of my heart, it’s not even my heart anymore. You own my heart, it beats for you alone. When my grandfather told my granny he loved her, he would use these words. I heard them sometimes, in secret whispers when they thought no one was watching.
Doubt that the stars are fire,
Doubt that the sun doth move his aides,
Doubt truth to be a liar
But never doubt I love.
I love you Liadh Grace O’Neill, always have and always will. I fall a little bit more in love with you every day, until I feel like I might burst from the feelings. Say you’ll stay with me Liadh, say you’ll be my wife.”
Liadh stared at his face and for the first time in her life ignored the arguments of her brain, too soon, more time, fear, anxiety and the possibility of failure. Instead she listened to her heart, each beating of the muscle pumped out his name like an ancient song that had been passed down through the ages, on the lips of lovers.
“Yes. Yes Rían.”
She looked down at the beautiful platinum ring, with a precious moonstone in the centre.
“Not a diamond. It’s like the one I lost in the fire. You remembered?”
“You told me once, long ago.”
Diamonds are too flawless, too perfect. She had said it to Bonnie a hundred times. Liadh wanted something with character, a slightly flawed stone. Something that she felt encompassed everything she stood for. And he had known, because she was known to him.
Neddy O’Neill had always said, In a small town nothing is unknown. Liadh knew that was true of love also. In matters of the heart, nothing is unknown. No dark pockets to hide in, no secret places can exist in a love that shines with truth, transparency and adoration.
Rían let a shout escape his lips as he grabbed her up and spun her around in his arms.
“I’ll not let you down Liadh, I swear to you.”
“You never could Rí. You never have. Rían?”
“Yes my lover?”
“Make love to me Rían.”
Rían carried her back to his little Island house, in his arms she felt so safe and her head rested on his chest. Feeling like a feather in his arms she entwined her arms tightly around his head as he walked so sure and so tall.
When he laid her down on the soft silk sheets she closed her eyes, helpless as he undressed them both. Silently she opened her eyes and watched him take two red silk ties from a drawer and tie each of her wrists to the bedposts. Moaning already she felt an orgasm rise from the sheer presence of him, his shape, his smell, and his body, every one of her senses alive and honed into Rían alone. Everything else disappeared into nothing when he was around. Making a slow sinful steady journey from her ankles, Rían worshiped every inch of her, kneading and touching every piece of her until Liadh felt as though she were breaking apart at the seams.
Licking her lips she laid her head back and kept her eyes closed wanting to enjoy each sensation completely. Softly and sweetly he traced his fingers leisurely up the inside of her legs. Trembling under his touch, her breathing became hot and heavy, laden down with want and desire mingling with the balmy heat of the Caribbean. She felt the stickiness of his skin on her skin, droplets of sweat from his hair landed on her belly. When she felt his lips on the inside of her thighs where his fingers had been, she cried out and rose her pelvis up to meet him. Teasing her, he licked the inside of her thigh and refused to give in to her dirty mouth, as she told him to fuck her, to eat her, to do it now. Instead he sat back and watched her, his eyes hooded and hot with desire. Pressing his thumb against her clit he stroked himself as Liadh watched and writhed on the bed lost in a sensual and sweet agony.
“Cum for me Liadh, if you cum for me I end the agony for you.” He moved his thumb deeper vibrating it onto her clit and she came shouting out as her legs shook.
Rían kissed her mouth and swallowed her words as they fell from her mouth into his.
“Rían.” It was all she could say; the ability to form coherent sentences had left her as soon as he began his slow seduction.
Rían stood off the bed and went over to his fridge. Liadh lay back, melting into the sheets, her body still shaking and energised. Kneeling on the bed Rían crept up beside her and she watched mesmerised as he took shards of ice between his fingers and dripped the cool liquid onto her neck and breasts. Liadh yelped and her body bucked as the freezing liquid hit her skin making steam rise off it in places. Rían followed the trail of each droplet with his tongue, sucking and licking it off her skin. The sensations of the heat and cold made her nipples as hard as rocks and she craved sweet release. Rían sucked a piece of ice into his mouth and she watched him with desire filled half closed eyes.
“Rían…I can’t-”
Throwing her head back she moaned as his freezing lips closed around her nipple and he numbed it in his mouth before he tucked lightly on it between his teeth.
“Jesus Christ, Rían.”
“Just feel Liadh, close off all your other senses and just feel.” As he poured ice cool water over her skin and between her legs Liadh pulled hard against the restraints. Feeling his head between her legs she opened up for him. Her body spread out for his pleasure, for her pleasure. She felt the rasp of his beard as he dipped his freezing tongue between her folds and slid his hands under her cheeks raising her up to meet his mouth.
Trapped between his hands and his tongue Liadh gave herself over to each sensation, each flick of his tongue. Rían alternated between diving in deep with the tip of his tongue, and pulling back to lap at her making squirm. She felt each receptor and muscle in her body flex and release. She was so close to coming, that bittersweet rising of orgasm, building and building until she hit the cusp and wanted to hang onto the edge forever. She wanted to capture that sweet few seconds just before the explosion, when she knew the feeling was coming but was helpless to stop it. And then she was there, lights exploded around her eyes
as she came loud and panting into his mouth.
Rían untied the silk ties and rubbed Liadh’s wrists. He lifted her off the bed and she wrapped her legs around his naked body and kissed him hard. Rían kissed her back passionately and carried her to the private decking area at the back of his house. Walking them both into the little pool, he kept up the relentless kissing of her neck and her face. Liadh laughed when the water hit her back and surrounded them both.
“What the hell are you doing Rían?”
“I’m fucking you in my pool. It’s something I’ve thought about since the moment I met you. I wanted to imagine you here in my pool, naked with my cock buried deep inside you. Getting what you want always tastes that little bit sweeter when the reality outshines the fantasy.”
Liadh bit her lip as he let her down gently in the shallows. Lying beside him she clasped her hand around the base of his cock and put her head under the water taking him in her mouth until she felt him rock hard. Pushing him back onto his elbows she sat up on top of him and took him into her pussy, moving her hips to a rhythm. Holding her hips he urged her on faster and faster.
“Oh Liadh, you are so fucking beautiful. Did I tell you that today? Every day you look so beautiful, so…ah….Liadh. You make me feel like a real person, like I’ve been waiting all my life to be reawakened.”
Liadh Looked down at him and felt more powerful than she had ever felt before. He was hers and hers alone, she controlled the pieces of him that belonged to her, the parts of him that were the most alive, his mind, his cock and his heart. She slowed her pace and put her forehead to his, slowly she took him to the heights of pleasure moving slowly into him while their eyes held each other. Liadh’s teeth bit her lower lip as she smiled at him; he mirrored her expression and put his hands up to her throat as she threw her head back. Squeezing lightly he held on by a thread until he could hold it back no more. Shuddering he came inside her and moving her hips in her own steady rhythm, she watched as he exploded beneath her. Flipping her over onto her back in the water, he pounded into her a few times until he felt her clench around him and then collapsed on top of her.
Liadh opened her eyes and found him inches from her face, his eyes staring into her own.
“I love you Liadh Grace O’Neill,” he said simply.
Liadh smiled at him and rubbed his hand in hers.
“I love you too Rían O’Malley.”
Our revenge will be the laughter of our children

Later Rían sat on the deck with a glass of sweet dessert wine in his hand and listened to Liadh snoring softly in the bed behind him. This was the way it was supposed to be. The way it should have ended all those years before. Looking to the stars overhead he said a silent prayer to Liadh’s mother Caoimhe, to Neddy, to the Bossman and to all those who had gone before and paved the way for his happiness. He always knew that he would marry her. It was one of the last things he remembered from the day before she had left Kilvarna as a child. He laid his head back on the sun lounger and let a mouthful of wine burn a trail down his throat, as he remembered that last evening all those long years before.
“Look Liadh, your mammy is dancing,” said Rían. He pointed in the direction of the cottage and they both stood still as Liadh’s mammy took the clothes from the washing line.
There was disco music coming from inside the house, and they stopped what they were doing to watch Liadh’s mammy swaying to the music. Caoimhe moved her hips back and forth, completely immersed in the music. Rían and Liadh giggled at each other as they watched her mammy lift her arms up to the sun and spin around. Laughing to herself, Caoimhe picked up her full laundry basket and walked over to the door of the cottage.
Before she went over the threshold she seemed to sense the eyes on her and looked up to Liadh and Rían in the field. Waving at them she shouted, “five minutes left and then inside Liadh” Liadh groaned but nodded and waved back.
“Only five minutes left to play Rían. Are you all ready for Sister Geraldine tomorrow?”
Rían shrugged his shoulders and continued building a jump for Peanut. So far Peanut had three clear rounds in the dog jumping championships, one more and Rían would reward him with a dog biscuit.
“I don’t like Sister Geraldine,” he said surprising himself with the force of his words.
“I don’t either,” Liadh said as she helped Rían to make the jumps a little higher. Rían watched Liadh as she moved in front of him. So pretty and so kind, his one true love.
“Liadh?”
Liadh looked up and pulled the lollipop out of her mouth. Rían grinned at her; she had no front top teeth and looked funny when she smiled. Like the Bossman when he would take out his false teeth and chase them all around the kitchen laughing.
“Yes, Rían. What?”
Liadh’s mammy came to the door and called up to them.
“Okay Liadh time to come in, go home Rían O’Malley you little monkey.”
Liadh hugged Rían and ran down towards her cottage.
“See you tomorrow,” she called to him. Rían pulled his hand out of his pocket and ran down the hill after her.
“Liadh, wait!”
Liadh turned and waited as he caught up with her.
“I want to give you something Liadh.” He fumbled inside his trouser pocket and pulled out a little ring. Liadh’s eyes lit up at the sight of it. Silver and dainty with a little moonstone in the centre, it was the most beautiful thing she had ever seen.
“Someday I will marry you Liadh grace O’Neil, and give you a diamond ring.”
He watched as Liadh smiled her toothy grin and nodded. Taking the ring from him she placed it on her middle finger.
“I love it, Rían, I don’t like diamonds. They are too perfect. I love this because it’s different, like us.”
She kissed him quickly on the cheek and he felt his face redden before he beamed down at her. Liadh ran off down the hill and then turned as she reached her front door.
Rían waved at her and they stood there for a moment with their palms raised in friendship and love.
“Hey Liadh,” he shouted. “You never said Yes. You’re supposed to say Yes!”
“Yes! Rían O’Malley. Someday I’ll marry you. Someday! Just you wait and see.”
